What a wonderful place. A neighborhood cigar bar with wonderful staff and a great vibe. When in NYC my husband and I will forever make this a regular stop. The cigar selection is on point and the cigar bar is BYOB with a corking fee. There is a liquor store across the street which is quite convenient.

Harlem Cigar lounge is a pretty lowkey and chill spot if you want to get out of the house, not be around a lot of people and of course if you want a quality cigar. It's a very intimate and comfortable setting as well which I appreciate. They give you the option to bring your own bottles and they provide you with a glass too. My only complaint was that although the hostess was nice and inviting, she recommended a cigar that was harsh and I asked for something that was sweet and smooth. I would still definitely recommend visiting this spot.

This summer, I took my daughter out to New York to visit campuses. We went to NYC and Columbia. While out there I decided to visit local smoke shops. I wanted to visit Harlem as well so I decided to stop by the Harlem cigar room. I'm glad I did! It's a small quaint shop with a small lounge. But I found myself in nice conversations with two local gentlemen. The prices are reasonable and the quality is outstanding. I definitely will be back on my next visit.

This place is a gem. People are extremely friendly and the staff is wonderful. I have been in the area for years but mainly for dining . then one day I decided to drop in and to my surprised , I recognized a few guys from other cigar lounges. you can not judge a book by its cover. if you are driving in, you need to be in the area by 4pm to find parking. I will sure make this a regular hangout during the weekends Kianna

Hanging out in NYC for the weekend. Did a Yelp search to find a local cigar lounge, found this one uptown figure I take a drive and check it out. Nice little spot. The owner Felix cool as hell, very friendly I picked up a tabernacle and chose one of his recommendations which was quite tastey. Cool as folks chillin talkin ish. Recommend it as a nice little spot for cigar smokers.

Vibe was good ...byob w/a small fee if you do byob. No food not an issue tho. Knowledgeable manager on hand for novices put this place over the top for me. Was made to feel at home DAY ONE ! 'Nuff said !

Now you got the outside look of her.

I've been meaning to visit this cigar lounge for quite some time, but securing a table reservation,…read moreparticularly for sinatra saturdays, has proven remarkably difficult. After several months of trying, I finally decided to take my chances as a walk-in. As luck would have it, the evening turned out splendidly. I arrived around 6, and the gentleman at the door kindly suggested returning around 7 to join the walk-in queue for the 8 PM performance. Fortunately, a handful of us were accommodated, and I was delighted to finally experience the place firsthand. First, a word on attire.. I highly recommend dressing for the occasion. While not necessarily required, a jacket and a little sartorial effort feel entirely appropriate here. This cigar lounge has a dark, intimate, richly appointed, and wonderfully atmospheric feel. There's an old-world, almost fraternal character to the interior, with just the right balance of understated luxury. It's precisely the sort of establishment where dressing well enhances the experience. Upon entering, my coat was checked, and I made my way toward the bar. The cigar selection is available online, so I already knew what I wanted, a davidoff royal, preferably accompanied by a glass of champagne. I've never been much of a whisky guy, even in establishments where whisky seems to be the customary pairing. Then came the music. Steven Maglio and his band were simply sensational. The intimacy of the room makes the performance feel remarkably personal, and hearing such accomplished musicians in a setting of this scale is a genuine pleasure. It quickly became apparent why reservations are so coveted. There is, however, one important consideration for prospective visitors and that's the view. As a walk-in, I was accommodated in the standing area, where the view of the performers was rather limited. Unless you're fortunate enough to have a favorable position near the mezzanine, you may find yourself watching much of the performance through the live television feed above the bar. Even some of the seated tables toward the rear appeared to have obstructed views. If seeing the musicians directly is important to you, I would strongly recommend securing a well-positioned table. One observation I found rather curious was how few patrons were actually smoking cigars. Most seemed primarily interested in the performance, which is perfectly understandable given the caliber of the entertainment. Still, as someone who specifically enjoys the ritual and atmosphere of a proper cigar lounge, I found it a little surprising. The majority of fellow cigar smokers appeared to be concentrated around the bar and standing areas. Personally, I think the experience is best appreciated with a fine cigar in hand, though one certainly needn't smoke to enjoy the music. The service deserves particular recognition. Despite the crowded standing area and my limited access to the bartenders, the staff remained exceptionally accommodating and professional. They assisted with drink orders, cutting and relighting cigars, and generally made certain that even those without reserved tables were well looked after. That level of attentiveness did not go unnoticed. Sinatra Saturdays typically feature three performances, at 5 PM, 8 PM, and 10 PM, making it worth planning your evening accordingly. Although this lounge is undoubtedly a popular destination, I never felt that it had succumbed entirely to the tourist-trap atmosphere one might expect of such a well-known establishment. The room retains a genuine sense of character, and the musicians, staff, and many of the patrons clearly appreciate what makes the place special. Naturally, there were a few guests seemingly more interested in documenting the evening than enjoying it, but that's hardly unique to this establishment. If anything, I found myself wishing there were a private members' section for regular patrons who appreciate the cigar lounge experience beyond the Saturday performances. All things considered, I had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The music was outstanding, the atmosphere memorable, and the hospitality commendable. Despite having to stand for much of the performance, I left understanding precisely why this place is so sought after. I'll certainly be returning, and hopefully next time with a proper table reservation. A wonderful evening, best enjoyed with good company, a fine cigar, and a glass of your favorite drink.

I stopped in solo on a Saturday evening, and the staff accommodated me at the bar. The selection is nice. I got a Davidoff. It's worth dressing up a little. The setting makes the evening feel like an occasion. Ventilation could be better. Overall, a very enjoyable evening in a classy establishment. Service was not great and waitress was very cavalier as we racked a nice tab. We also ordered dinner. I went against my instincts and ordered the tuna steak which was fabulous. Here's the kicker I asked for the bill and there was an "expected per person cigar charge" because we had our own ...not an issue. I paid the bill and told the waitress to give each of my buddies a cigar equivalent to their per person minimum..........would you believe I got big time attitude and resistance. I told her to get me the menu, and I read her their policy verbatim that states minimum per person cigar purchase. I paid the fee and am entitled to x number of cigars. As we were walking out, the host/person checking IDs at the front was incredibly kind and asked us if it was just the two of us because there was space upstairs (we didn't know that was an option!) I am so thankful to them because we were able to enjoy some of the best cocktails I've ever had. The staff was incredible - they checked in with us throughout the evening, explained the menu and gave excellent recommendations. We started with their old fashioned drinks (Lock and Key and the ash and molasses) - both were excellent. After that I tried the psycho killer (a whiskey drink with cacao nib campari, roasted banana and absinthe) - I have had absinthe in a Sazerac before, but this drink was unique and truly special. We couldn't help but get one more to share before leaving -- the Belfast Bred, a cold brew drink with a delicious cream on top. We didn't order food on this visit, but everything looked great. Despite living around the neighborhood for years, this was somehow my first proper evening here. I came without reservation and expected that I might be out of luck. Instead, after about a 15-minute line wait, I found a seat at the bar just before the 5:30 pianist and vocalist began. I ordered crab cakes and a glass of taittinger. Peanuts and chips arrived at the bar once you sit. The bartenders and staff are appropriately uniformed and it's a very chic and polished vibes altogether. I spent enough time where places like this have become increasingly valuable to me. Bemelmans feels almost deliberately analog. A piano, a good glass of champagne, conversation, and a room that has no particular interest in reinventing itself. The pianist and vocalist that evening was excellent. I'd originally hoped to hear another of their jazz pianists (Eng), but within a few songs that hardly mattered. I'm still learning to appreciate having the opportunity to enjoy places like this, and perhaps that made the evening more memorable. This venue is warm, crowded, elegant without feeling sterile, and unmistakably chic.
