Excellent food and menu has many choices. Service was great. Ambiance is moderately loud but we could still have a conversation at the table and hear each other. Outside patio is a bonus. read more

the new spring menu desserts are a must try they were amazing! Also a new addition was a salad with beets and whipped feta that was light with great taste. read more

Chicken and swordfish dishes dry with no taste. Pasta in Bolognese was limp and overcooked. Filet was tough. Gingerbread tiramisu was cake like and not tiramisu at all. The Torta di Ricotta had no flavor. Overall very disappointing experience. The waitress appeared very confused and perplexed when we ask questions about some of the entrées. Overall giving this restaurant two stars the Caesar salad was very good and the atmosphere is lovely. Way too pricy for sub par experience. read more

We've been going to Sogno since it first opened. We went back last night for a private birthday party. I gotta tell you it was a fabulous dinner! From start to finish everything was impeccable and delicious. From manager Chris to our servers Alexis and the staff everything was perfect. Emm even made a wonderful birthday cake (call in advance you won't be disappointed). It was like being at home without the cleanup. Thanks read more

Took advantage of another unseasonably warm day for outdoor dining at the new Italian restaurant in Woburn, Sogno, which just opened at the end of September. This place has taken off like a rocket ship - it was mobbed. Ambience not quite what I was expecting, really, really loud inside - at one point a man from the restaurant opened the glass door behind me separating the indoor bar from the outdoor patio and it was like a jet engine was suddenly blasting in my ear (he closed it with apologies when we asked). I had been excited to see spaghetti alla nerano on the menu (anyone who's watched Stanley Tucci's Italian food series will be familiar - it was the highlight of the end of season 1), but while it was good, it wasn't a traditional preparation, more like an al fredo, which I'm not a fan of, with thinly sliced zucchini and summer squash (not deep fried as it should have been). Wouldn't order it again. I had had my heart set on a lamb osso bucco, only to discover it was the one main entree they'd taken off their menu (and, having been open less than two months, some of their prices were already higher too). Got the grilled swordfish, which was cooked to perfection and accompanied by grilled hot peppers. Also was interested in the after dinner *cocktails* and guess what - the one of five I'd wanted online was the only one they'd taken off. Asked for a sambucca instead - they were out of it. They did come up with a nice substitution though and their cappuccino was huge and came with a nice biscotti. Was told their patio had ambient heating in the floor and they have heaters hanging from above and plan to put in wind screens to keep it open as long as possible. Our server was great but runners from the kitchen would arrive in the middle of the patio with food and look confused - we had a plate of grilled octopus we hadn't ordered plunked on our table the minute we sat down and someone else tried to deliver someone else's entrees. So, a number of bumps, but promising enough we'd give it another go. read more

Love this place been here a few times. Went Sunday and had the best bartender Filipe. Great service. Very attentive and pleasurable

Quite meh. My husband and I went here for our 15th anniversary and were really looking forward to something special. The chicken of my pollo al mattone (roasted chicken) was quite good and tender, but the rapini was so tough I could barely slice through it with the bowie-knife sized steak knife I was provided. My husband's salmon was quite dissatisfying. A bit fishy tasting and overdone, and the sides weren't worth the effort to eat them. Given the inflated price point, I expected much better. There are plenty of more reasonably priced Italian restaurants with better food in the area. read more

Amazing dishes and amazing atmosphere! This is a one of a kind from the beautiful entrance to the final bite of desert! We weee greeted with a warm welcome and attentive service throughout dinner. A very comfortable experience that makes you want to stay all night. Don't miss out on the true experience of dining out. read more

They have slid a bit after a strong start. When you lose an order, tell the truth. If you are an unhappy waitress, find another job. You left me hanging for 45 mins until we complained. The owner took accountability and made it right, but the waitress was still cranky after that. read more

The food is so amazing and the environment puts you in a great mood. The owner is very nice the first time he sees a new customer.

My wife and I went to Sogno's for some good Italian cussine, boy were we disappointed. The veal cutlet was as thick as a steak instead of thinly pounded as a cutlet should be. My wife's fish in broth was tasteless as was the desert. The tort de brûlée was like a brick and nothing like a crem brûlée. The service was pretty good, it we always had different people serving us. I really cannot recommend this as upgraded Italian restaurant. WORST MEAL I HAVE EVER HAD, and it cost $200 for the night. DO NOT GO THERE ------. read more

Food is sublime. Drinks are elevated. Fantastic wine list. Great service. A north end experience in the suburbs.

I went to opening night and the food and atmosphere was amazing. . The pizza was the best I've ever had. The food was authentic and fresh . Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu . read more

Definitely the best Italian restaurant I've been to in the USA. The team service was perfect, the food was amazing and the place was beautiful. read more

Went there for dinner last night. This is a higher end restaurant with a welcoming friendly atmosphere. Our server was attentive to our needs but not hovering. The food was excellent. We had salads first and the main meal was timed perfectly after. I had the swordfish and my wife had the cod. The food was hot with excellent presentation. Very tasty. Not overpowering. Moderate portions - Just right in my opinion. I know this place just opened, but everything was spotlessly clean. I highly recommend. read more

Bad interaction with owner. Very unprofessional and argumentative. We left without ordering. He was very rude, we were only there less than 5 minutes. The owner basically tell us that there's another restaurant that we can go. read more

Food was not good and extremely overpriced. Calamari was rubbery, arancini and veal were both extremely salty and the restaurant was extremely loud. Service was mediocre. Very odd glass room in the middle of the restaurant. Also too much red and black making the restaurant dark. Will not be going back. read more

Great food and service. Much needed restaurant on the Winchester Woburn. I recommend Arancini, pizza cooked in wood oven.

It was the day after valentines day, we let our adult children enjoy the holiday with their significant others while we tended to our oversized bernadoodle on 2/14. We were hoping for quiet night. Then 10 minutes into the evening the hostess sits a party of three next to us in an uncrowded dining room. I learned so much, like that Lucia's serves a class of ice water with their wine and China Sky makes a mean Mai tai (Knew that:)). The service was excellent but the food was ahhh. The veal was okay at best , to dry and was supposed to be in mushroom Marsala over risotto dish that had zero flavor. Honestly who puts onions in risotto, that's not italian - I checked with Giada. There are so many better places from A Tavola in Winchester, Nappy's in Medford, Al Fresca in Tewksbury, not to mention several place in Burlington that offer better food at better prices. So disappointed. read more

Amazing Italian food. Great ambiance. Jared our server was awesome. It's the best high end restaurant in Woburn

The restaurant is incredibly loud. We were seated next to a table with 8 women. One woman was screaming the entire time. We politely asked her to turn down the volume and she told us to move, which we would have done if there was an empty table. Caesar salad actually had real anchovies, but the dressing was bland and disguised with spicy bread crumbs Instead of croutons. The chicken was overcooked and dry without enough sauce for dipping. The polenta was bland and HAD to share the sauce with the chicken. The broccoli rabe could use some garlic. My husband's ravioli dish was just okay. I'm Italian and could make this meal so much better. The only positive was the dessert, Dolce Vio. We believe in giving restaurants a second shot but next time we will try the pizza and sit outside where you might be able to hear each other talk. No issues with the wait staff who also seemed upset about that screaming woman. read more

Went to Sogno last Wednesday evening and had a delicious pizza! It was a wonderful dining experience. The interior decor is beautiful. You must go and enjoy an evening of fine dining! we will certainly be back there again soon. read more

Great atmo. All of the staff are engaging, pleasant, and polite. And the food is amazing. You will enjoy anything you order.

Chef Jason, Tim, and Ron knocked it out of the park. Service, ambience, and food were all 10/10. We got the veal and the cod and they couldn't have been more flavorful. Fried eggplant is a must try. And for dessert the pumpkin tiramisu might've been the best thing I've ever eaten! We will be back! Thank you Jason for this gem! read more

Let me preface my review by saying I am a server and have been one for quite some time. That being said I went to Sogno last night for a birthday celebration. The restaurant is very attractive although as it filled up the noise level increased significantly. The main problem was our server...very nice and respectful but the lack of knowledge of the menu was astounding. I asked for a specific scotch which they did not have, asked numerous questions regarding the menu which he could not answer, ( I've only been her 2 weeks? If you don't know the menu you should not be on the floor). Ordered appetizers and entrees...also ordered a side dish that was never brought to the table...no mention of that from the waiter...the food was very good....asked to have one entree wrapped to take home...was NEVER delivered to the table and when I asked we were told it was inadvertently thrown away? No attempt to offer a replacement, no manager at the table to address the issue, entree price was left on the check. Ordered dessert...my companion received the wrong flavor of gelato....I ordered the ricotta pie and panna cota was delivered to the table instead....by that time I was tired of all of the mistakes and did not make an issue of any of it as I have a high tolerance but seriously??? So not going back any time soon or at least until they get their act together from a service point of view.....the waiter said I will take care of you next time?? Really? Did I indicate there would be a next time and if there were a next time did your performance warrant me requesting you as my server?? Enough said. read more

I had dinner here with friends last night and it was an all around great experience. First off, starting with our server Elizabeth. We all agreed she was the best server we have ever had, ANYWHERE, not just in New England. All four of us are avid travelers and foodies so we eat out a lot both in the states and Europe and she was what a server should always be. Her Personality and knowledge of the food were excellent. We ordered a few dishes and shared it all. Starting with the melanzane fritte eggplant which was very good, but a small plate to share and the arugula salad also very good and had an extra twist with the clementines. We then had the margherita pizza another winning dish with great sauce and dough perfectly cooked. For our mains we had the burrita ravioli and mezzi rigatoni allá genovese which were both excellent! We received the tagliatelle bolognese by accident, started to eat it before realizing we didn't order it and that was very good too so we kept it. Dessert was afogato biscotti, zeppole and pumpkin tiramisu all delicious with the stand out being the zeppole and the accompanying caramel sauce. Finally I have to mention the wine list was great too. We will definitely return to this hidden gem in Woburn. read more

Our second visit and first evening meal at Sogno last night. We had gone for lunch a few weeks ago and loved it. Our first disappointment last night was that our favorite lunchtime dish, the fried olives and stuffed peppers are not served at dinner. We again ordered the fried eggplant and beet salad and that was good. Terrific Caesar salad was plenty big for four people. Frito Misto was mostly fried string vegetables. Because it was my birthday I decided to splurge and ordered the veal cutlet, the most expensive entree on the menu at $65. It was horrible: a terrible waste of an expensive cut of meat. Dry, thick, and tough. Not paired well with the overwhelming mushroom risotto which had way too much truffle oil for my taste. Pork cutlet was better. Both times we have gone the pizza was excellent. They have a very hot oven from Italy and if you like Neapolitan pizza (burnt with a gooey center ) you will not be disappointed although I suspect they will dumb it down over time for their American customers. Waiter brought us the check without asking if we wanted dessert, which we did, because it was my birthday. Excellent pistachio ice cream. The Affogato sounded great but was served ridiculously in a tall Irish coffee glass with a tiny espresso spoon: literally impossible to eat. Unfortunately we could not get our waiter's attention to perhaps get a longer spoon ( maybe they ran out of clean ones?). My dinner companions were shocked when I mentioned on the way home that I had indicated when I made the reservation online that it was my birthday. I didn't really care but thought a candle on my Lemon Torte would have been nice. read more

Came here for a special occasion and was surprised and excited to see the bar full and the restaurant crowded. It's location is kind of random but parking it abundant and inside is beautiful. We sat at the bar as we waited for our reservation (we were early). The bar was boisterous and upbeat. The specialty drinks looked delicious, though, we had wine -also delicious. We were seated in a very comfortable booth for dinner. The restaurant is very loud and our server had to ask us to repeat our order a few times. We got the octopus and the calamari as appetizers. The octopus itself was delicious but the serving size was tiny for the price. The plate also included a small salad and 3 roasted potatoes the size of golf balls so it felt like this was a potato dish vs an octopus dish. I ordered octopus and wanted that to be the main event, not potatoes. The same thing occurred with the calamari dish. It came in a bowl full of "crispy vegetables" that looked and tasted like potato strings. The amount of calamari vs veggie strings was laughable. Overpriced. Our main meals were the swordfish and the pork chop. The pork chop was juicy and delicious (and I don't typically say that about a pork chop). It was the winner. The swordfish was dry and overcooked, unfortunately. I put the side of cous cous-type salad (which was spicy and very good) on the fork with the swordfish to make it less dry. Disappointing because you could tell the flavor was there but it was just too dry. The chocolate taco dessert was decadent and delicious. I really wanted to leave here with rave reviews but, for the price, I felt like we got a little bamboozaled. Particularly with the appetizers which should have showcased the actual main protein and not the less expensive accoutrements. I can see going back to the bar for drinks - it had a great vibe. read more

I have been to Sogno multiple times since it has opened its doors and I have to say it is some of the best italian food you can find. The service here is great, it is upbeat, and consistent every meal. The assorted artisan breads that come out first are delicious. The lamb ossobucco falls off the bone, ribeye is cooked perfect everytime, the burratta raviolis have ruined eating other raviolis for me. If you like arancini or octopus those dishes will both be favorites of yours too. The wine selection is representative of the high quality dining establishment Sogno is, with imported Italian wines from a wide range of regions in Italy. The dessert menu and dessert cocktail menu are all worth trying. Ive had assorted flavors of gelato, (salted carmel, mascarpone), pumpkin tiramisu, the chocolate mouse which has a hit of orange and such nice presentation. I would recommend Sogno to anyone looking for a food dining experience like no other. You will not be disappointed! read more
