Hands down the best dessert place I've been to in awhile. I an a slushie fanatic and am very particular about my slushies but I am always dreaming about theirs. They use jarritos I think so the flavors are absolutely delicious. It is so refreshing especially during the hot summer. Their ice cream is also so creamy and not overly sweet, which I like. Please get their cookies while you're there! They bake them fresh per order so they come out warm and gooey. Highly recommend!
First off this place is so cute!! Love the ambiance and all the cute photo props. There offer a wide variety of options from soft serves, to sodas, cookies etc. I appreciated the self ordering kiosks since it makes it easier to customize and order. We got 2 soft serves, they offer 2 sizes and both come with unlimited toppings. LOVEEEE this! We tried the ube which was absolutely delicious. Very creamy and not too sweet. And we also had the Cookie Monster and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. My fave out of the 3 was the Cinnamon Toast Crunch! This place was buuuuusy on a Sunday afternoon, we ended up waiting around 15 min for our order. There are about 5 tables inside and a couple more outside. We'll be back!!! P.S. they have BOGO soft serves on Tuesdays!!
I've seen Softspot pop up on my social media feed several times, so I had to try it for myself! It seems like the kind of place that will always have a bit of a crowd on a warm weekend evening. The seating is limited, so more than likely you may have to take your treats to go. I appreciated the nondairy soft serve options - not something that's usually offered at most dessert spots! I tried the strawberry fresh fruit soft serve with a nondairy milk base, and I asked for a chocolate dip topping as well. The strawberry soft serve was refreshing but the flavor wasn't too strong. The portion is big, but I wish that my soft serve had been covered in chocolate dip instead of having it drizzled on. There's a lot of variety to the menu, and I'd love to go back to try more options.
I've never had New Zealand style ice cream or dirty sodas before and now I'm hooked! The strawberries and blueberries were blended with the vanilla soft serve making it a beautifully colored treat. It was not too sweet and didn't melt too quickly, which I appreciated. The toppings are unlimited and free too. A hybrid of nicecream I must say. The dirty soda didn't have enough carbonation in my opinion. Still really liked the flavors. Parking is free but this place gets really busy. Consider ordering online once you park and head inside. The place was like a zoo house with long wait on weekend evenings. Looking forward to returning in the future regardless!
Softspot was popping around 9 PM with bright colors, lots of games, plenty of seating, and a friendly and quick service staff. The 2 soft serves we had were good. Both were creamy and delicious. If I had to improve anything, I'd make the flavors of the ice cream a tiny bit stronger, and actually dip the soft serve if they are going to call one of their toppings "dipped" on their kiosks.
This is a great spot! I appreciate the abundance of drink + dessert options. My order was ready quickly. I met up with a friend here, and we stayed for an hour. She got a dirty soda which she really enjoyed, and I got an ube soft serve, which I liked but it was a bit pricey. They also have games to play, and a super cute design. So I recommend this place and would like to come back on a Tuesday for BOGO soft serve to try the New Zealand style one.
If you're in Chantilly and have a sweet tooth, the Softspot is a must stop. We went specifically to try the hot chocolate which was as good as social media suggested. Delicious!!! They have a variety of dirty sodas, cookies, cinnamon rolls and soft serve ice cream. There are a few tables inside and outside in front of the shop. A variety of table games are available to use if you are hanging out for a while.
We stopped by SoftSpot after seeing a post on social media and decided to give it a try. It was a Sunday night and the place was packed. They have ordering kiosks, but only two of them, so there was a bit of a wait to place our order. We all got the hot chocolate, and while they offer tons of other options--from dirty sodas to hot cookies--the highlight for us was the marshmallow around the cup and on top. That part was delicious! The hot chocolate itself was just okay, but still enjoyable overall. There were only two young ladies working, and they did an amazing job keeping up with all the orders despite the rush. There is some seating, but the people already seated weren't in a hurry to leave, so it was tough to find a spot. Overall, it seems like a cool dessert spot with fun options. If we're in the area again, we'd definitely give it another try.
Softspot soft serve ice cream is super creamy soft velvety texture and delicious! My favorite is their ube classic and vanilla classic. Portions are generous and no limit on toppings. Quick service and friendly staffs. You order and pay from the kiosk and your ice cream is ready within 5 minutes or less. May take longer if they are busy. But so far I have received my ice cream orders in less than 5 minutes every time. I recommend Softspot!!
This place is adorable! Hands down one of the best-decorated spots -- the vibe is so cozy, warm, and inviting, and it literally smells like freshly baked cookies the moment you walk in. I got the Cookie Monster flavor, which is like cookies and cream but totally unique -- it's super smooth with no cookie bits, and I actually love that twist. It is a little pricey (about $5 for a kids size), but honestly, the portion is generous and totally worth it. At night, the place is popping -- super lively and busy, but they somehow keep things moving fast, so you don't wait long at all. Overall, it's one of those places that just makes you feel happy to be there -- cozy vibes, amazing smell, and seriously good ice cream.
Dope spot! The cookie company MOLTN is also located in this soft spot. The cookies were really good and the whip cream. I didn't try the soft serve yet, but that and their hot chocolate will be next. I'm excited to go back, it's just a very busy place. Tonssss of folks were there. The service was fairly quick though. It's a casual little spot.
Okay, so I stopped by solely persuaded by their marketing of "NEW ZEALAND" ice cream. I haven't been to NZ, so I was excited. Heck, it's another sweet AF American ice cream to me (if not sweeter). I know I'm reviewing an ice cream place, and it's supposed to be sweet, but the cookie monster and ube twist I had was overwhelmingly sweet. Ice cream could be subtly sweet and creamy, you know? Maybe I'm too old for ice cream now lol Anyway, the place is new, and it is summer, so it is packed. Expect a crowd and wait. The pastel-colored decor is working. I dig it. Ice cream itself? Hmm, I'll give it a second chance and try just the ube. Hopefully, it's less sweet by itself.

I ordered a half dozen classic cookies for my boyfriend's birthday and they were perfect! They were a great size and consistency. Chewy but not too soft, just the way I like them. It took about 15 minutes for them to freshly bake. While I waited, I decided to try one of their New Zealand-style soft serve flavors and went with blueberry with a vanilla base topped with strawberry drizzle and strawberry shortcake crumble. I love a fruity soft serve and this one was spot on! It was sweet yet tart with an icy, not-too-creamy consistency that I really enjoyed. Softspot is definitely worth checking out if you're into cookies and unique soft serve flavors. I'll be back to try more with this warmer weather! read more
We came here after eating at Ocean Crab and this was the most perfect sweet treat. I'm a huge sucker for soft serve and the texture and flavor were amazing. I got the vanilla/chocolate swirl and my husband got the cookie monster/biscoff swirl. Overall, a really cute place with loads of spots for pictures. I'm excited to come back to try some of their dirty sodas! read more
Maybe I went on an off night but it seemed like the staff had some difficulties with the machine. I originally ordered the expresso soft serve but the machine was still working on it so I opted for the chocolate and vanilla swirl instead. The soft serve was too soft and was melting a bit. The place was also a bit empty when I went but it took awhile to get my order. I would probably come back to try other stuff and give it another shot after seeing some good reviews. read more
Not the best presentation of my chocolate and vanilla swirl ice cream but it tasted great! Chocolate and vanilla soft serve , you can add up to 4 toppings (I added gummy bears, graham cookies, oreo, and pistachio and then i got chocolate fudge! Everything cost about $12. A bit expensive for a cup of ice cream but satified my cravings! read more

The soft serve texture was great, but the flavors were barely there. I got a cookie monster/ube swirl and although I could kind of taste the ube, both were bland. Cookie monster was supposed to be vanilla with blended oreos, but all I got was a strange cookie flavor aftertaste. The strawberry shortcake crumbles were unique but didn't really taste like anything. We also got the mango real fruit soft serve (New Zealand style) but it was not good. The mango flavor was dull and sour. I was disappointed by Softspot and won't be returning. read more
came on a busy Friday night with my friend after we had dinner across the street. I've been eyeing this spot since they first opened and glad to have finally made it over! we ordered an ice cream each (which comes with unlimited toppings) and two different dirty sodas. the dirty sodas were exactly what you'd expect. flavoring + creamer mixed with your preference of soda. the shaken espresso soft serve was delicious. I opted for sprinkles on mine because I am a child and sprinkles make me happy haha the ube wasn't bad, but definitely not what I'd go for again. all in all, this is a great spot to hang out and chill. I believe the owner of this spot is also the owner of eggholic a few stores down. they have board games and card games for families as they chill and enjoy their desserts. A new, popular, super cute and vibrant soft serve shop, same owners as Jamun in Dulles Town Center mall, serving you New Zealand ice cream, cookies, and dirty sodas! The soft serve was delicious! My parents and I tried their Ube and Shaken Espresso Swirl topped with toasted coconut and Biscoff cookie crumble, and it was SO GOOD! Their soft serve is "not too sweet" approved, and very easy to eat and demolish haha. I also ordered two MOLTN cookies, the classic chocolate chip and M&M, and these have got to be one of my favorite cookies I've had in Northern VA. Service was overall pretty quick, just expect a little wait for the cookies as they are made fresh to order. Also went on a Saturday night, and the place was pretty packed! read more
Hubby and I going back and forth on things... we only ordered a soft serve vanilla as he is a purist and usually only goes vanilla.... By taste he wanted more vanilla ... I really liked it as not overly sweet which is usually my objection. We both decided if we look at this as a base it would then be perfect for add ons.... And there are a ton on options... plus they do have other flavors as well... need to try the ube I think my biggest complaint is sizing. Only one cup size which is way to big for me as I've been watching my caloric intake... and hubby is diabetic... would have liked a 1/2 or child sized option Nice clean inside... you order at the kiosks ... couple of tables for sitting inside... can't wait till we have warmer weather read more
Softspot is a new dessert shop in Chantilly that took over from the old Dairy Queen (located near the Don Churro). No matter what you are in the mood for, Softspot has a lot to choose from! I stopped by and tried a few things: - MOLTN cookies (white chocolate macadamia nut and a regular chocolate chip cookie) -Strawberry Moonshine -Chocolate/Vanilla frozen yogurt swirl -Ube/Espresso frozen yogurt swirl The cookies are baked fresh and were super hot (you can choose to get already baked cookies if you're in a rush.) The Strawberry Moonshine was a cool twist on a Dr. Pepper. And of course, not to forget about the frozen yogurt -- it was tasty! This place ought to be really popular in the summer when it's sweltering hot and humid outside. Even though it's winter right now, this place was a fantastic way to have a sweet treat. read more
I was very excited to try this place out, unfortunately it failed me. The place is cute and very busy. I ordered a coconut base strawberry ice cream and it was just very gross. It looks very pretty but the taste just wasn't correct. I know they were having problems with the machine so I'm not sure if that's why my ice cream had a bad taste. My kids had the regular vanilla base ice cream and seemed to enjoy it. I don't think I'll give it another try unfortunately. read more
A surprising treat! Upon looking at the menu I was very excited to try Softspot but it was even better than I was expecting! My husband and I both got the Ube and Cookie Monster swirl. I got mine in a cup with Biscoff crumbs and my husband got his in a birthday cake cone with Oreo crumbs. The ice cream was packed with flavor and super creamy! We loved every bite! My one piece of feedback is the cone seemed very thin so my husband's ice cream was leaking out making it a very messy experience. Otherwise, 10/10! We will be back! read more
I went here with a few friends for a post-brunch sweet treat, and it was such a godsend on a hot day! The space is a bit small with limited seating, but it's very clean with a cute little photo op spot. The service was also fast, they kept up fairly well with the line that formed pretty much right after opening. I had the New Zealand mango soft serve with toasted coconut flakes as a topping. The mango flavor came through the vanilla ice cream so well, especially with the chunks of mango mixed in. The portions were also super generous. I ordered a kid cup since I wasn't sure if I could finish a full-sized cup, and you can see that the portion was almost twice as much as the cup itself, which was overall a lot of value for what I paid. My friends got the dragon fruit flavor, which they said didn't come through as much, mostly vanilla. I'm not going to fault them that much since dragon fruit has a generally neutral flavor, it's just something to keep in mind when ordering the New Zealand flavors. I would definitely recommend this spot for a unique sweet treat if you're in the Chantilly area. read more
Saw this new ice cream spot opened so I stopped by to check it out. I got the passion fruit soft serve and a couple cookies. While the aesthetics of the place was nice, I thought the treats fell a bit short. The soft serve was nice and creamy but the passion fruit flavor was way too tart. It was so sour that it was hard to finish it. The cookies were also just ok. Nothing really amazing and a bit expensive for the size. Not my favorite dessert place but may have to come back to try a better flavor. read more

We recently stumbled upon this place after lunch and realized it's brand new with fun flavors! You order through a kiosk machine (rewards system is toast) and the service is fast! I went for the viral hot chocolates and was not disappointed. I got the peppermint one and it was really sweet but not bad for those that want a really really sweet treat. The seating was limited so my friends and I had our drinks outside, cold air and hot drinks was a good contrast. read more

This place is delicious! The soft serve was almost custardy which I loved and my boyfriend got the root beer dirty soda on the menu (I forget what it's called but it had vanilla, chocolate, and toasted marshmallow flavors added) and it tasted like a root beer float. The ube ice cream we ordered tasted super artificial. They must've put too much ube extract because it was so artificial tasting that it was bitter as we kept eating it. Service was relatively quick. Very cute inside and Instagram-worthy read more
I wanted to try this as I saw an ad on instagram about this place. Although this is a slight hike for me i happened to be in the area. It's definitely a cute little spot, and since I tried Jamun in Dulles I was hoping this will be like that. The menu is pretty extensive, and they have an ordering portal in store, however things are not that obvious and needs more description of what the items are on the menu. I got a vanilla flavored base with dragonfruit mixin. Pistachio swirl anf coconut. The service was extremely slow and the workers kind of seem like they don't know what they are doing. Anywho...as far as taste goes...it was not good. I can't even explain. I've had $5 dollar things taste 100% better than this. Where as i paid almost $12 just for my portion. A soft serve spot with cookies, New Zealand ice cream AND dirty sodas? I'm in! I'm sad to see Dairy Queen go, but Soft Spot is just so tasty!!!! It's also conveniently by Don Churro and Lotte, along with many other spots in Chantilly that I love to visit. It's really clean, well-lit and spacious inside, with a cool step area to take some fun pictures. They also have a self-order kiosk, but you can also order at the register. There's plenty of treats for everyone, and they even have some family-oriented games to keep everyone entertained. I ordered the Strawberry Moonshine dirty soda and the strawberry base New Zealand ice cream (with strawberry shortcake + biscoff crumbles). My friend ordered an espresso + ube soft serve and added biscoff crumbles on top and loved it. We ordered some other dirty sodas as well such as the Lemon Lagoon and Voltage Rush to-go. It was pretty busy in here, and there was someone creating content for them so there were a lot of mix-ups and drinks that weren't made on time. The staff/ managers apologized and made extra drinks/ replacements for us. They randomly got a huge rush right after we got in, so it's completely understandable. Cute little shop inside the Chantilly shopping center open pretty late. They have dirty sodas, cookies, and ice cream and they also have New Zealand ice cream. The ice cream is soft and smooth, but I do wish they give a little more toppings especially when you pay extra for it. The workers were really nice though. read more

I usually gravitate toward hard ice cream, so soft serve spots aren't always on my radar--but SoftSpot in Chantilly changed that. I was intrigued by their sundaes, especially because they're made with warm MOLTN cookies and fully customizable. That combo was enough to get me in the door for my first visit, and I'm really glad I gave it a try. I ordered a sundae, which came with a soft serve base, up to four non-liquid toppings, a cookie, and an optional liquid topping. I went with the chocolate vanilla twist soft serve, which was rich and creamy--definitely closer to custard quality than your average soft serve. I topped it with crushed Butterfinger, almond pieces, and rainbow sprinkles for a sweet and slightly savory blend, then added chocolate shell for a small upcharge (totally worth it). The real standout, though, was the red velvet chocolate chip cookie. Heated to a brownie-like texture, it blended beautifully with the rest of the sundae and added a unique richness I wasn't expecting. Yes, it took about 15 minutes for my sundae to be ready, but that's because they warm the cookie to order--a step I truly appreciated. Everything felt thoughtfully prepared, and the end result was one of the best soft serve desserts I've had in a long time. I was also impressed by the variety of flavors they offer: in addition to the standard twist, there's cookie monster, ube, and New Zealand-style blends made with real fruit and a choice of vegan or dairy bases. The atmosphere at SoftSpot was laid-back and pleasant. Even on a Saturday night at 8:30, it wasn't too crowded, and ordering through the kiosks was quick and convenient. The staff was friendly, and I liked the casual setup with a few tables and a shelf full of board games--everything from classics like Chess and Monopoly to newer options like Catan and Family Cards Against Humanity. It feels like the kind of place you could hang out for a bit and enjoy a treat without feeling rushed. I'm already thinking about what flavor to try next time. read more
