This spot has a plethora of sweet treats with unique flavors and fun customizations. We also got cookies that are not pictured, sweet and chewy. My favorite items would be their fruity soft serves and frozen yoghurt since it is not too sweet. The soft serves are quite big and good for sharing. There are not too many seats inside so we had to sit outside, be careful at night as they could get busy on weekends. Service is friendly and quick.
Was excited by the New Zealand ice cream offered here; we ordered the dragon fruit with vanilla base, and the dragon fruit flavor was very light and overpowered by the vanilla. Quick service, self-order on tablets. Very bright and family-friendly or date-friendly space with communal board games and dopamine decor. Lots of creative flavors of soft serve on the menu. There is a fun large ice cream cone bench at the front of the store.
Delicious soft serve! One of my favorite types of ice cream. You get unlimited toppings with each order which my kids loved. They have a large menu of sweets and drinks. Cute aesthetic and clean. Prompt and nice staff. I will definitely be returning to try more menu items. Also, conveniently located next to Meland indoor playground.
This is definitely one of my favorite dessert spots, and I've taken quite a few people to try it. I love their soft serve and I frequently crave it. It is very dense and creamy, which makes it the perfect consistency.. The ube and shaken espresso swirl is my first choice quickly followed by the Cookie Monster. The regular cup size gives you a huge portion, I rarely finish all of it. You can also choose from different topping options to top it off. In the winter, the hot chocolate is so good and rich. The inside of this location is small but I've usually gotten lucky and gotten a spot to sit.
Ordered a lavender latte. It came out quite hot, so I had to let it cool for a few minutes before drinking. The atmosphere inside was really friendly, plenty of families coming through, and one table was casually playing a board game. It felt relaxed and welcoming without being loud or chaotic. Nice spot to sit for a bit.
The cookie monster and ube swirl is fantastic, though the oreo crumble topping I picked did cover how pretty it is. We went with the kid's size cups which were just right for a summer afternoon treat.
UGHHHH I forgot how good and convenient this place is. I decided to get their cherry lime lemonade to cut through all the heavy food I ate at Tilly Kitchen.... It was so good I came back 2 days in a row and bought True Lime packets to try to recreate it at home! Service is always really efficient here and the interior is playful and fun with lots of games to play with friends.
First off this place is so cute!! Love the ambiance and all the cute photo props. There offer a wide variety of options from soft serves, to sodas, cookies etc. I appreciated the self ordering kiosks since it makes it easier to customize and order. We got 2 soft serves, they offer 2 sizes and both come with unlimited toppings. LOVEEEE this! We tried the ube which was absolutely delicious. Very creamy and not too sweet. And we also had the Cookie Monster and Cinnamon Toast Crunch. My fave out of the 3 was the Cinnamon Toast Crunch! This place was buuuuusy on a Sunday afternoon, we ended up waiting around 15 min for our order. There are about 5 tables inside and a couple more outside. We'll be back!!! P.S. they have BOGO soft serves on Tuesdays!!
I've seen Softspot pop up on my social media feed several times, so I had to try it for myself! It seems like the kind of place that will always have a bit of a crowd on a warm weekend evening. The seating is limited, so more than likely you may have to take your treats to go. I appreciated the nondairy soft serve options - not something that's usually offered at most dessert spots! I tried the strawberry fresh fruit soft serve with a nondairy milk base, and I asked for a chocolate dip topping as well. The strawberry soft serve was refreshing but the flavor wasn't too strong. The portion is big, but I wish that my soft serve had been covered in chocolate dip instead of having it drizzled on. There's a lot of variety to the menu, and I'd love to go back to try more options.
I've never had New Zealand style ice cream or dirty sodas before and now I'm hooked! The strawberries and blueberries were blended with the vanilla soft serve making it a beautifully colored treat. It was not too sweet and didn't melt too quickly, which I appreciated. The toppings are unlimited and free too. A hybrid of nicecream I must say. The dirty soda didn't have enough carbonation in my opinion. Still really liked the flavors. Parking is free but this place gets really busy. Consider ordering online once you park and head inside. The place was like a zoo house with long wait on weekend evenings. Looking forward to returning in the future regardless!
Hands down the best dessert place I've been to in awhile. I an a slushie fanatic and am very particular about my slushies but I am always dreaming about theirs. They use jarritos I think so the flavors are absolutely delicious. It is so refreshing especially during the hot summer. Their ice cream is also so creamy and not overly sweet, which I like. Please get their cookies while you're there! They bake them fresh per order so they come out warm and gooey. Highly recommend!
Softspot was popping around 9 PM with bright colors, lots of games, plenty of seating, and a friendly and quick service staff. The 2 soft serves we had were good. Both were creamy and delicious. If I had to improve anything, I'd make the flavors of the ice cream a tiny bit stronger, and actually dip the soft serve if they are going to call one of their toppings "dipped" on their kiosks.
This is a great spot! I appreciate the abundance of drink + dessert options. My order was ready quickly. I met up with a friend here, and we stayed for an hour. She got a dirty soda which she really enjoyed, and I got an ube soft serve, which I liked but it was a bit pricey. They also have games to play, and a super cute design. So I recommend this place and would like to come back on a Tuesday for BOGO soft serve to try the New Zealand style one.

Highly recommended by my cousins, this cute little shop serves a variety of desserts from really creative sodas to unique soft serve flavors and cookies! We ordered the shaken espresso swirl which came with unlimited toppings, a jolly rancher slush, dragon fruit soft serve, and more! The service was really quick and they had games for us to play while we enjoyed our desserts. The price was pretty good and on Tuesdays they have Bogo soft serve! read more
Ice cream spot on the way to the airport. Great stop to kill time - airport was only 10-15 minutes away. Very cute place and pretty busy. People of all ages lounging around - happy vibe. Had many choices to choose from - I went with the ube and butterfinger, I believe. (creamy and delicious) Will definitely be back the next time I'm in town. 8 out of 10 for me. Enjoy! read more

If you're in Chantilly and have a sweet tooth, the Softspot is a must stop. We went specifically to try the hot chocolate which was as good as social media suggested. Delicious!!! They have a variety of dirty sodas, cookies, cinnamon rolls and soft serve ice cream. There are a few tables inside and outside in front of the shop. A variety of table games are available to use if you are hanging out for a while. read more
We stopped by SoftSpot after seeing a post on social media and decided to give it a try. It was a Sunday night and the place was packed. They have ordering kiosks, but only two of them, so there was a bit of a wait to place our order. We all got the hot chocolate, and while they offer tons of other options--from dirty sodas to hot cookies--the highlight for us was the marshmallow around the cup and on top. That part was delicious! The hot chocolate itself was just okay, but still enjoyable overall. There were only two young ladies working, and they did an amazing job keeping up with all the orders despite the rush. There is some seating, but the people already seated weren't in a hurry to leave, so it was tough to find a spot. Overall, it seems like a cool dessert spot with fun options. If we're in the area again, we'd definitely give it another try. read more

Softspot soft serve ice cream is super creamy soft velvety texture and delicious! My favorite is their ube classic and vanilla classic. Portions are generous and no limit on toppings. Quick service and friendly staffs. You order and pay from the kiosk and your ice cream is ready within 5 minutes or less. May take longer if they are busy. But so far I have received my ice cream orders in less than 5 minutes every time. I recommend Softspot!! read more
This place is adorable! Hands down one of the best-decorated spots -- the vibe is so cozy, warm, and inviting, and it literally smells like freshly baked cookies the moment you walk in. I got the Cookie Monster flavor, which is like cookies and cream but totally unique -- it's super smooth with no cookie bits, and I actually love that twist. It is a little pricey (about $5 for a kids size), but honestly, the portion is generous and totally worth it. At night, the place is popping -- super lively and busy, but they somehow keep things moving fast, so you don't wait long at all. Overall, it's one of those places that just makes you feel happy to be there -- cozy vibes, amazing smell, and seriously good ice cream. read more
The ice cream has a good flavor, good amount of options for toppings without being overwhelming. The cookies are nice, soft, and warm. The shop is smaller but has a nice layout. Employees are nice but the shop could be cleaned more frequently. read more
Dope spot! The cookie company MOLTN is also located in this soft spot. The cookies were really good and the whip cream. I didn't try the soft serve yet, but that and their hot chocolate will be next. I'm excited to go back, it's just a very busy place. Tonssss of folks were there. The service was fairly quick though. It's a casual little spot. read more

Delicious ice cream! The orders came out super quickly, and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. They had a wide variety of flavors to choose from, so there was something for everyone. The ice cream was creamy, flavorful, and tasted fresh. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely come back to try more flavors! read more
Okay, so I stopped by solely persuaded by their marketing of "NEW ZEALAND" ice cream. I haven't been to NZ, so I was excited. Heck, it's another sweet AF American ice cream to me (if not sweeter). I know I'm reviewing an ice cream place, and it's supposed to be sweet, but the cookie monster and ube twist I had was overwhelmingly sweet. Ice cream could be subtly sweet and creamy, you know? Maybe I'm too old for ice cream now lol Anyway, the place is new, and it is summer, so it is packed. Expect a crowd and wait. The pastel-colored decor is working. I dig it. Ice cream itself? Hmm, I'll give it a second chance and try just the ube. Hopefully, it's less sweet by itself. read more
Parking: it is located in a shopping center so there is a ton of parking! Don't worry! Seating: there are 3 tables inside and 4 tables outside. Food: all the ice cream is soft serve. I got the mango flavor! It had some of the stringy texture, like in real mangoes. It was pretty good, but I personally don't think it's worth $10. Bathroom: there are 2 individual bathrooms in the back. It is fairly clean. Price: it's pretty pricey for ice cream. For ice cream cone, it's around $10. Cups are a little cheaper, but still can get expensive. Service: the lady was very friendly & nice! :) read more

Came here with my friends to try the popular hot chocolate. It was really delicious but so so sweet that we couldn't finish it even though we wanted to! The marshmallow topping was really tasty. We came back another time to try the ice cream and we loved all the option and flavors they have as well as all the different kinds of toppings. I tried the banana ice cream and loved it! Their cookies are also amazing. The employees are all sweet and provide fast service even when it's busy. The seating area is so cute, I just wish there were more places to sit and I love how they provide card games and board games to play with your family or friends. read more

Came here when they first opened, the staff was nice and helpful! Tried the Vegan Vanilla Mango and Passionfruit flavors, which we weren't impressed with. The Mango did not taste like Mango. Passionfruit did somewhat taste like it but wasn't that great. Thinking maybe the base Vegan Vanilla ice cream is just not that great. Have not tried the Vegan Coconut one though. The dairy options may be a lot better too. The seating area and ambiance is cute, I like how they have games for people to go there and hangout. I wonder if there's a way to enhance the right side of the seating area when walking in. To make it more comfortable. But for short term seating it's fine. read more
I tried the viral hot chocolate drink they had as I've been seeing it all over social media. It came out really fast!! My only issue with it is that it was a little confusing on how to enjoy it as it was covered in marshmallow fluff. The amount of marshmallow was very sweet. Reheating made the marshmallow kinda gross. It's best to enjoy it all when you can. read more

Soft Spot knows exactly how to satisfy a sweet tooth. We tried the mango ice cream and--let me just say--it was refreshing, subtle, DEMURE, and mature. This one is definitely for the adults. Let me say that again - This one is definitely for the adults. In my uncle's voice: the mango flavor is for the "grown folks". I'd compare it to butter pecan--not because they taste the same, because they don't--but because both are simple yet packed with flavor. There's a certain level of appreciation and maturity needed to truly enjoy a flavor like this. The perfect balance of sweet, but not too sweet. We also tried the ube, which I had never had before, and it was amazing--so much flavor packed into one lick. I don't typically crave ice cream, but coming back is a must. Service was steady--not the fastest, but to be fair, it was a packed house. Luckily, they have board games off to the side that anyone can play to help pass the time. The location is great, right next to an indoor playground and in a well-lit strip mall, so parking isn't an issue. Seating can be limited, but that's mostly due to the hype. Thankfully, it's ice cream, so once you get your treat, you can keep moving - cone in hand! One note: the restrooms didn't have a changing area. Since this is a spot parents are likely to visit with kids, it's something to keep in mind. read more
I saw this place on social media and decided to try. I was craving hot chocolate so I decided to go on a Tuesday night. This place was packed on a weeknight. I got a banana soft serve and classic hot chocolate. No picture of the banana soft serve as I ate it all standing while waiting for the hot chocolate. I love banana but this soft serve has a vanilla base which takes away from the banana. I wish it was just banana with no base. It was ok. The best part of the hot chocolate was the toppings, the marshmallow foam rim, but the hot chocolate was more on the bitter side than sweet. I will be back though to try other items on the menu like their mango or ube soft serve, the coconut lychee lemonade or the dirty sodas. read more

I feel like everytime I come here, it's just messy. My ube/espresso swirl melted quickly and wasn't neatly in the cup before I went to get it. It reminded me of the cup being messy with my hot chocolate last time. However, the flavor of the soft serve was a good sweet. The ube paired well with the espresso flavor. It was also nice that there were unlimited toppings and an option for a kids size cup. read more

I didn't even know New Zealand-style ice cream was a thing until I heard about Softspot. It's fresh fruit blended with an ice cream base and it's done to order. I ordered the kids cup of the strawberry New Zealand-style ice cream with the strawberry shortcake topping. The ice cream was great, the strawberry flavor was strong, and I enjoy occasionally biting into a strawberry chunk. The topping doesn't add that much flavor-wise, but it's a nice crunch. We came on a Saturday night and it was quite crowded. However, the wait wasn't too long after you placed the order. There's plenty of seating inside and outside, plus they have board games for customers to use. read more
Intro: So I ended up going to this place after passing by this going to Lotte. What caught my eye is the giant ice cream Sunday outside as it is very ice catching. And it only got better from there. Vegetarian Friendly: For sure its a dessert places so everything is vegetarian Decor: Honestly one of the best decors I have seen in an ice cream shop. Its also very unique which I appreciate. Food Breakdown: So I got an Uber flavored Ice Cream and Chocolate Chip Cookie, both things did not disappoint. Food Highlights: I really enjoyed the ice cream mainly cause it was not overly sugary and after eating I will still able to not feel sick haha. But I also dipped the cookie In the ice cream and it slapped! Portion Size: I wish I got more ice cream but overall not bad at the size of the cookie or ice cream Service: I liked it but nothing special Price: not the worse, like I didnt mind the price but always wish places are alittle cheape.r Would I go Back: For sure! Like I said not really bad things to say if anything I am knitpicking. read more

Amazing! Had a craving and wanted to see what this New Zealand style ice cream was all about. First off, it's in a familiar shopping center in Chantilly where a bunch of other unique restaurants and bakeries are. There is plenty of parking and on a Sunday afternoon was not crowded. They don't seem to take orders at the front, which I take a point off because as a first-timer it didn't seem welcoming enough to talk to an employee to ask questions. Definitely hard at work as you can see with the open kitchen, but a friendly face and a welcome would have been nice. They do have their menu on the wall which is a lot of drinks, ice cream and cookies. You place your order on a large touch screen and wait not too long. There's some really cute seating and even games if you chose to hang out for a little bit. As far as my New Zealand style ice cream, I really did enjoy it. Because of the real fruit, the flavor was very light and it was not too sweet, which is actually a compliment coming from an Asian lol read more
