At first, I was really happy with this service. Whomever was initiating the text conversation for the booking/appointment was responsive & straight forward. I did find it a bit weird you can't literally speak to anyone, though. I honestly don't even know exactly who it was texting me- the owner or an employee? They were able to get me in within a week, an initial arrival time of 4pm but due to a cancellation I was given a heads up two days before they'd be able to arrive between 2:30-3pm, which I appreciated having another engagement later in the afternoon. They communicated their arrival time ahead when en route, and also gave a firm/fair estimate. It was easy enough to bring my cat out to the van in her carrier. But, something left me very uneasy just handing her off while I sat inside. I understand it's too crowded for patrons to sit inside, but it's just not something I'm used to- my kitty is 14 with a heart murmur so she's "babied" quite a bit! I had them come out because she isn't properly cleaning herself & the matting is getting bad- causing pain. Too much for me to trim manually as I'd usually do, so a lion cut shave was the best option to mitigate this. Overall, they did a pretty decent job. But, later in the evening as I'm petting her & really looking her over- I start to notice some issues. One being uneven cut just before the bottom of the leg fur. It's choppy & looks bad. But my biggest issue is the MULTIPLE cuts/open wounds on her poor tail! Those absolutely were not present before this grooming occurred. While I know the tail is difficult, I absolutely expect it be done WITHOUT cutting her! Especially for a professional. And not just once- there are well over 10 spots (as shown in my photos). This is not okay & now I actually feel terribly guilty, like I put her through torture out there in that van. They charged exactly what they quoted & said she did "really well"... but I question the second part of that because she's never been SO shaken up, and it wasn't just from being shaved. I'd like to say better & would have absolutely utilized this service again- but not after seeing how badly her tail was butchered. The shave might look decent but all the literal skin cuts are not. Poor thing didn't deserve that when the matting on her tail wasn't even the worst of it. I'd think twice before leaving your animal solely in their care without you supervising. I wish I would have insisted on staying to be there for her comfort & supervision. Also: I docked this down to 1 star after the owner began texting & harassing me in a very unprofessional manner after writing my review. Absolutely horrifying to treat a client in that manner instead of attempting to resolve anything. See photo of how they choose to interact. I'd advise avoiding. read more

I would never use this groomer ! I was told my cat was difficult she meowed to loud well yes it was her first time getting groomed ! It doesn't even smell like she had a shampoo she handed her back to me wet ! No comb no deshedding !! In fact I had to comb her once she was dry , I was charged 177 dollars for a wet cat ! Inexcusable ! I would never use them again , Ya I watched another groomer who groomed a stressed out cat she said you have to know how to work with cats ! This groomer does not have the patience to be grooming cats !! I was charged 177 dollars for her to return a wet cat to me ! Seriously wrong !! She wasn't combed ! This was my first time using soft coats,and it was awesome! My dog rocker is my life and renee understands this . Hes a big boy,and she was absolutely amazing with him! We just tried Soft Coats Mobile Grooming for the first time today. What a wonderful experience for our sweet kitty, Zoey! She just needed a good brushing to get out a couple of matted areas, her claws clipped, and a sanitary cut around her bottom, due to her long hair. If I'm going to shell out $200+ for a groomer, it would have been nice to at least have met her on the phone. After she texted me back that it would be 6 weeks for an opening, I said that was fine and if I could talk to her for a minute. She texted back that she's too busy and texts only work for her. That would be fine if I had already been a client. But when you make the call to a groomer who could potentially be handling your animals for the first time, you kind of want to get a gauge on them. At least TALK TO THEM. I had a few questions for her because I have a cat that doesn't like to be groomed. I wanted to know how she would handle him if he started to get agitated. I wanted to feel comfortable by knowing what she would do. What kind of business owner tells a potential client she has no time in 6 weeks to talk to them? What kind of business practice is that? I found it extremely rude and for someone that boasts that she really cares about animals, it doesn't seem like she cares a whole lot about their owners or their business.
