I ordered the churrasco steak that came with chimichurri and 3 sides. The steak was cooked perfectly but I wouldn't consider chimichurri to be real chimichurri. It was just okay. The three sides I ordered were fried yuca, tostones, and yellow rice. The fried yuca had a green herbs that I wasn't a fan of and wished it was listed on the menu. The tostones were good and the yellow rice was a bit dry and cold. For 27 dollars I did expect the sides to be better. I did appreciate having a decent amount of options as sides without the up charge. The salmon was sweet and was not a big fan of it. Had not gotten around to bringing the family by yet though until today. We leave tomorrow but they want to come back here first next time we are back. The media noche is amazing and the plantains and yuca were also incredible. Juicy and flavorful pork and delicious bread all coming together and nothing was left on our plates. Today we had lunch at Sofrito Latin Cafe and it was very good. Before I write my review, I have one recommendation. Look at the pictures and read some of the reviews on Yelp so you know what you are ordering. When we went to order, we didn't know what many of the food options were before we ordered. Some things on the menu are very clear such as the hamburger and fries. I ordered the chicken and goat cheese arepa which I wasn't quite sure what it was. It was very good but not sure I would order again. My husband had the Colombian burger with a side salad and loved it. My sister and her partner ordered the same burger but with French fries. They didn't like the sweet aspect to the burger but the fries were delicious. I tasted my husband's burger and I like the sweet flavor that was on it. I also ordered the ham and cheese croquettes for us to share. Not at all what I expected but very good. The restaurant is very clean, wait staff was excellent and everything we ordered was fresh and on point. My sister ordered a Bloody Mary and said it was spicy the way she likes them. read more

A must try when you're in the area! My friend and I were in the area and looking for a delicious restaurant not far from where we were staying. We were recommended to try Sofrito and we were not disappointed. When you walk into, the restaurant has two options for you to order. You can either use their automatic screen, order and take a number or one of their staff members have a stand where you can order from them as well. In terms of seating, the restaurant has an inside and outside seating options. Both are great and we enjoyed sitting outside since the restaurant has a hustle and bustle to it. Due to it being our first time, the staff was great in explaining the ordering options to us. I ordered the chicken sandwich with a side of French fries. I had dinner here last week while staying nearby. Sofrito is in a stand-alone building with plenty of parking available in front. It is a counter service restaurant serving Latin food. I chose the Peruvian Pollo al Horno entree for $18. It came with 3 sides and a salad. For the side dishes I picked red beans, black beans and sweet plantains. After getting my soft drink and grabbing a table my meal arrived in about 5 minutes. I liked everything served. The bird was big, juicy and flavorful. The red beans had some pork in them and tasted very good. The black beans were also rich in flavor. The plantains were sweet and delicious. Finally, the salad was full of content and fresh tasting. This was a very good tasting and filling meal and a value too. I only had the chance to have one meal at Sofrito Latin Cafe but it was a very good one. My meal was easily a 4 score. If I had the chance to try something else and enjoyed it this much I might give a 5 score. This is a good place to eat! read more

The patio has fans for those hot days. There's a full bar inside with amazing bartenders. During our stay in Orlando, we came here twice. Nice place, well decorated and very clean. They also have outdoor seating if you want to have fresh air. On our first visit, I ordered the Pabellon arepas and loved that it's very well-seasoned, but the only downside was the beef was pretty dry. My BF got the Lomo Saltado and the meat was juicy and overall very tender and seasoned well. 2nd visit, I ordered the Steak and Eggs, the steak was perfectly cooked and not salty, and the chimichurri was spectacular and complimented my meal. My BF wanted to give the Pabellon arepas another try and this time the meat was not dry which was great. We also got the Nutella Empanada for dessert and was delightful. Both items were super delicious and definitely the stand out of our trip to Orlando. The empanada had a strong beefy flavor with that very mildly sweet fried dough. It was crisp and perfectly textured. The sauce provided a good balance and I absolutely loved it. However, the empanada itself was amazing without the sauce; strong contender by itself. The arepa was decent size, and was very well seasoned. The texture of the arepa itself was very pleasing, not dry and with just enough moisture. Let me start by saying I love Latin food I've been to some incredible restaurants across the US and abroad. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed with this place. I placed a pick-up order and tried to call ahead to add some extra flavoring like hot sauce or chimichurri--but they don't answer their phone once you've ordered online. So, if you want any extras, you have to ask in person. The chimichurri sauce was good and had a nice flavor, but the hot sauce was an extra $2-$4 per side, even just for regular sour cream, which was a bit disappointing for a Latin restaurant. The Churrasco was delicious and super filling with 3 sides. I asked for medium but it was more medium well. Luckily, it wasn't too dry or chewy and the chimichurri sauce on top was so fresh and vibrant! The Churros were decent but they served it to us in the beginning so by the time we had finished our entrees and got to it, they were pretty cold. We asked them 3 times where they are. Got two cold espresso cups and one melted iced latte (missing the flavor syrup). When we asked for a new espresso this girl asked "You want it in a to-go cup?".
