Fresh and flavorful food with quick service. We stopped in while visiting Disney World in October 2025. The portion size was excellent for the price; we could g even finish all of our food. The Cuban sandwich had a hefty amount of meat; the arepas did, too! Come hungry! This is fast-casual dining that is pretty healthy and fresh. Loved it!

This was the second time I came. When you come in, you can order in the tablets or with the host. You take a number and sit where you'd like. They bring the food out for you, which btw came out super fast. The food was delicious, we were a big group. They had music going which was pretty good. The menu has so many varieties from different Latin countries. The mocktail I had was a spring special which was tasty. I'd definitely come back. In case you want to sing happy birthday to someone make sure to call the restaurant to advise them with time & they also don't do reservations but plenty of seating.

It was incredibly delicious! Very flavorful! I had the Hibiscus Kiss mocktail, which was quite refreshing & complimented the dinner well!

There are tons of great restaurants in Orlando. BUT, there's only ONE place at which we ALWAYS eat, EVERY time we come into town: Sofrito Latin Cafe. My family's been coming here for about 10 years now...we usually stop here at least twice per trip. The food is fantastic. Although I've had many of the entrees, and they've all been great, in general, I'm an arepa and empanada kind of guy. Along with Q'Kenan's, Sofrito's are some of the best in town. Interestingly, multiple styles of empanadas are available...Cuban, Argentine, Colombian, and of course, Venezuelan. Speaking of Venezuelan... Service: The service has always been fast, friendly, accurate...and cute. Are the waitresses cute? Yeah, just ask my 19 year old son. There's a reason why Venezuela, a county of (only) 30 million has won Ms Universe 7 times. Not a big deal, just something you notice. The atmosphere is modern, clean, comfortable, and casual. The patio doesn't have much of a view, but still, it's nice to eat outside when it's not too humid and hot, (or like this past weekend, too friggin' cold). Drinks: They have everything! Coffee, Latin pop, craft beer, cocktails, and even wine! Try the pineapple mojito. There are probably Latin Cafes in Orlando that are more authentic, but SLC has stood the test of time. We've been very happy at Sofrito Latin Cafe for the past 10 years...here's to 10 more! 5 stars!!

This is a very busy place. However, things are running pretty fast as their set up is good. There's inside and outside seating ordering is at the desk or you can do it at one of the self-serve computers. We ordered at a self-serve computers. I ordered the Cuban croquetas and a Cuban sandwich. Either one was authentic Cuban. The crickets were cute, but definitely not Cuban croquettes it was cheese with in the middle of something and hardly any a flavor - the garlic sauce that came with was gross. You might as well just eat straight up garlic juice so I use ketchup instead. The Cuban sandwich was a very large portion and not bad. However, it did not remind me of a Cuban sandwich. The flavors were different. The cheese wasn't melted. Very good sandwich. Just not the Cuban one overall not a bad experience is not my type of food as it's more Latin fusion

The Cuban sandwich was just alright, but the churrasco (skirt steak) was very yummy! We also loved the Venezuelan empanadas with cheese! Tasted great with the skirt steak! I love how you can choose your own sides too

The food itself was good and served warm, so no complaints there. However, the service really took away from the experience. Having to get up from the table to get your own water and it not even being cold was frustrating. On top of that, getting a simple cup of ice felt like a hassle, which honestly shouldn't be the case at a restaurant. The food has potential, but the service setup and lack of basic hospitality made the visit disappointing. With better attention to guest experience, this place could be much better. The restaurant was clean but the bathroom was not.

I have no idea why I am JUST reviewing this place now because I feel like I come here every time I visit Orlando (at least once a year). Food and service is always great. Large portions, dinner entrees come with 3 sides, and packed with flavor. Would recommend getting their arepas, empanadas, and roast pork. Very casual place with good vibes all around. Lots of seating both indoors and outdoors with good amount of parking. I also never had to wait insanely long for a table or for the food. Oh and major pro: it's close to the amusement parks! This place will continuously be one of my go-tos when I'm in the area.

Omg this was one of the best meals I've ever had. WOW I'll be dreaming of this arepa forever. Service 10/10 food 10/10 but would love larger cups for water. I can't wait to come back and eat everything on the menu

Food here in Sofrito Latin Cafe was amazing. Truly a Latin American (Colombian, Argentinian, Peruvian, Venezuelan) restaurant with amazing service and the ambiance this place gives off is one of family. I truly enjoy the flavors of Latin America and this whole in the wall definitely brings in.

Still being on London time, we were glad to find a restaurant open before noon around these here parts. I guess most are 1 pm to 2 am for the late-night partiers. Sofrito's outdoor dining area was nice and laid back, and their easy self-ordering meant quick hot food at our tables in just a few minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful for any menu choice explanations. My wife liked the beef/beans/rice, and it was even too big for her to finish (sure I imbibed to finish it off). She mostly (always) liked the plantains and wouldn't share. She's a high critic on those, so apparently they were worthy. The pasta was good in theory, but it was WAY too much garlic. So note to chef on that, maybe that was just accidentally too much added this time. We liked the ambiance and there are many other interesting menu items, and we would return when back in town.

We are like a lot of people in Orlando - here in vacation. After starting out day at 3am, we finally arrived at the hotel, tired and hungry. Sofito came up in the search and we placed it orders. I had the pork dinner with yellow rice, black beans and sweet plantains. My honey had the chicken dinner. We already ordered the flan and Nutella empanada. My food was amazing. The pork was well seasoned, tender and juicy. The 3 sides complimented each other and the pork. Highly recommend. My honey said his chicken meal was good, flavorful but a bit dry. (That's why I don't order chicken). I'm not a fan of Nutella but the flan was very good, it's a heavier denser flan than we make at home, but still yummy. I've already sent a link to the restaurant to friends and family I know will be visiting the area. I'll be back in December and will definitely eat here again.

Lots of inside and outdoor seating. Plenty of free parking in the complex. When you walk in, you can order at the machine or place your orders with someone at the cashier, then find a table as they'll bring your food to your table. We ordered the churros (of course!), Patacon de Maduro, Lolo Saltado, Pollo a la Plancha, and a side of their sweet plantains. All the flavours and dishes were delicious! Portions were also just right. They even had a photographer who takes your pictures at your table and you get 1 free printed picture as a souvenir, plus the option of buying extras. We did have an incident where my husband found a piece of a small cardboard in his meal (buried under the meat). We asked for a refund of his dish and the manager happily obliged. Other than that, everything was great!

The lunch special was only $11, both dishes were very tasty. Very generous portions of beans and rice.

It’s an herb dressing. It’s similar to a ranch dressing but slightly different. We make it in house.

Depends on the season, but it could take about 15 min to order and another 20 mi to get your order. Sundays are our busiest days, especially during breakfast and lunch hours.

The empanada came LOADED with shredded beef and this empanada didn't skimp out on quality. It tastes so good when you dip it with the green sauce and it was chef's kiss. I think this is the best empanada I ever had and when I tried other empanada, it doesn't even compare to this. I ordered another dish but I forgot the name and it's soo good. I was a little disappointed because the menu said pick 3 sides and I chose all beef. Alfredo didn't mention to me that there would be an additional charge for the beef. As a result, I had to pay an additional $10 which was very pricey and didn't find out until I received my bill and saw the charge. I didn't make any complaints because the employees seem not to speak English well and it's hard to be a foreigner trying to adapt to the culture and the language. But this is soo good and I can see why the reviews on yelp are all stellar.

I live close, so have come here quite a bit over the year…read more Pro- Just got renovated, so it looks pretty. The staff is nice, and the food is good. They also have lunch specials, which is nice. Cons- There is ALWAYS a weird perm smell when you go. It literally smells like someone is perming their hair, so not good. Another con is sometimes it takes long to get your food. And last but not least, I think their prices are not reasonable lately. Some of the prices do not match their menu, not sure when they raised their prices but I have never ever heard of a patacon costing almost $26 anywhere, and I frequent a lot of Venezuelan spots. Their name went from Q'Kenan restaurant to Q'Kenan Steakhouse so maybe now they just raised all the prices, I don't know. Their most expensive patacon on the menu is the one with Picańha and it says $17...yet I got charged 25.90. Regardless of how good something is, there shouldn't be a $9 difference from what is on the menu. That is absurd. On my last trip- $43 for an empanada, tequeńos and a patacon just doesn't sound right for Venezuelan food, and I come from living in Miami where restaurants are supposed to be more expensive. Add a tip and you're paying over $50 for street food. That's wild.

With that said, the food was excellent and there's a ton to choose from - it's easy to get overwhelmed, but the thing I enjoyed the most was the service and how sweet our server was (I forgot her name, but she was always so sweet and patient with our family). There were tons of folks eating mofongo so I'm sure that's a fan favorite here. We tried a few appetizers, juices, rice and beans, and shared a large platter that had multiple options for the family since it was our first visit and we didn't know what to try first. The tostones rellenos de churrasco (skirt steak stuffed fried green plantains) were delicious and come with five little cups and a dipping sauce that I'm pretty sure was mayo/ketchup. They also put a little PR flag on top which my kids enjoyed playing with. This ended up being my main meal because I wasn't that hungry, and it was the perfect bite of crispy, salty, and creamy with the dipping sauce. We also tried another appetizer that I didn't try, alcapurria de carne, which comes with two rolls cut in half (husband enjoyed it) and the Assorted Pal Campo which comes with chicharon, fried yuca, chicharron de pollo, tostones, fried cheese topped with a sweet guava sauce (that my daughter was not a huge fan of - I would ask for it on the side next time), and sausage. Definitely a heavy meal - and I felt like I needed to eat salad for the next two days straight after this meal - but it was tasty. Next time I'll ask for a side of cucumbers or something to break up all of the fried elements, or order something that comes with slaw/veggies.

Disclaimer: this review is for the lunch buffet only…read more I went with my family to try the $18.49 all you can eat lunch buffet. This was my first time experiencing a buffet for hispanic food and for this price point in Orlando, this is an amazing value deal. The server regularly brought us out silverware, napkins, and refilled our water. The place is decorated very fun and plays latin music which was lovely Not only was there an unlimited assortment of lunch foods, but an entire bar of fresh toppings for tacos (or rice bowls) and made to order desserts which were included for free! Not everything on the buffet line was the best but given the amount of options, price, and how good the great items are this is still worth a five star rating. I unfortunately did not take pictures of the food before I began devouring everything in sight to the point of near-collapse, but I will do a quick rundown of the buffet highlights: The best meats were the fajita steak, chicken, and shrimp made fresh in cast iron skillets, as well as the chicken lengua which was super flavorful and tender. The mexican rice, beans, fajitas, plantains, and street corn were also excellent. Fresh quesadillas, chips, and corn tortillas on standby with homemade queso and salsas. The flan and mini churros were the best I've ever had. Super rich, decadent Carmel flan. Mini churros hot and crisp on the outside, filled with a gooey soft milk chocolate center. They were delicious. Items that were disappointing: the tamales, mini chicken flautas, and beef chimichangas were just okay, lacking the seasoning and flavor that other dishes had. The beef barbacoa was not as tender or flavorful as the shredded chicken surprisingly. The mixed seafood was itself a mixed bag with some shrimps / scallops overcooked to much while others were perfectly cooked. The chicken mole and beef tri tip were room temperature despite sitting on hot plates. The tri tip also varied widely in doneness throughout the slices and not super tender. The rice pudding was pretty standard, and the tres leches cake was weird as they crumbled the cake into pieces before soaking it.
