It is not unlimited. No substitutions Pasteles, Empanadas are à la carte, tiny and pricey. Meals are high priced. We paid $68 for breakfast, 2 people. The inside is clean, welcoming, and thoughtfully put together. They even have a patio for nicer weather (we skipped it this time because it was cold, but it looked like a great option). What really stood out to me is how quickly this place started to feel like a little community hub. The staff are genuinely kind and welcoming and you can tell they have a lot of regulars who love coming here. It just has that warm, neighborhood spot energy that's easy to overlook if you don't know about it. We've already been twice in a short amount of time and honestly would go back again without hesitation. We've tried both breakfast and lunch, and everything has been fresh and clearly made with care. When you walk in, you can order at the machine or place your orders with someone at the cashier, then find a table as they'll bring your food to your table. We ordered the churros (of course!), Patacon de Maduro, Lolo Saltado, Pollo a la Plancha, and a side of their sweet plantains. All the flavours and dishes were delicious! Portions were also just right. They even had a photographer who takes your pictures at your table and you get 1 free printed picture as a souvenir, plus the option of buying extras. We did have an incident where my husband found a piece of a small cardboard in his meal (buried under the meat). We asked for a refund of his dish and the manager happily obliged. This is my second time coming here for a meal and it won't be my last! The food is so good, I had grilled chicken with rice beans and salad. Sounds simple, but sometimes the most simplest dishes can get messed up. You know, you order at the counter, so you feel kinda like you're not going to get any service but I have to tell you I interacted with five staff members on one visit by myself and every single one of them was kind and helpful. I even needed my wine changed and I wasn't given a hard time or anything, they just exchange it for me no questions asked. The servings are generous, I am taking half of my meal home so there's a lot of value for what you get. They have inside/outside dining. I opt to sit outside, but if you like air-conditioning, they have it! I walked here from my hotel, but it looks like there's ample parking if you're driving. I'm here on a Saturday so I couldn't take advantage of the happy hour but it looks like they have a reasonable happy hour every Monday through Friday from 4 to 6 PM and kids eat free on Wednesdays! I had the Cubano sandwich, and it was one of the best Cubanos I've ever had. At $11.95, it was also an incredible value--the sandwich was large enough to completely satisfy my appetite. My wife had the salmon, which was phenomenal. It was perfectly cooked, but the real stars of the dish were the boiled Yuca al Cilantro and the plantains. Absolutely delicious Latin cuisine! I had the Cuban braised pork plate with yellow rice, black beans and boiled yuca with cilantro. Fantastic combo. My husband had the Peruvian shrimp with yellow rice, salad, and black beans. We were both raving about the taste while eating. They have a range of dishes from across Latin America, and lots of gluten free options. They aren't safe for celiacs though. They use a shared fryer. If you are super sensitive or have celiac, just beware of that. The staff are lovely, friendly and helpful. Conveniently located in the theme parks area near Orlando. You should not miss this restaurant. Try something new if you've never tasted Latin American cuisine, or try it if you've grown up with it. You won't go wrong and you'll likely be back. read more

I stayed at a nearby hotel and was so excited to see that there was an eatery near that sold maduros. I crave them all the time so I ordered the pabellon criollo for myself alongside a wonderfully delicious lavender iced latte. I saw that seasonal treat offered on the inside menu and went for it; lavender is my favorite flavor for an iced latte and this place made it beautifully. We are like a lot of people in Orlando - here in vacation. After starting out day at 3am, we finally arrived at the hotel, tired and hungry. Sofito came up in the search and we placed it orders. I had the pork dinner with yellow rice, black beans and sweet plantains. My honey had the chicken dinner. We already ordered the flan and Nutella empanada. My food was amazing. The pork was well seasoned, tender and juicy. The 3 sides complimented each other and the pork. Highly recommend. My honey said his chicken meal was good, flavorful but a bit dry. (That's why I don't order chicken). I'm not a fan of Nutella but the flan was very good, it's a heavier denser flan than we make at home, but still yummy. I've already sent a link to the restaurant to friends and family I know will be visiting the area. I'll be back in December and will definitely eat here again. read more

We've ordered the skirt steak here twice, and our experiences were very different. The first time, it was absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. It honestly set the bar really high. Unfortunately, the second time around it was quite dry and overcooked, which was disappointing given how great it was before. Everything else was still good, but the inconsistency with the steak stood out. I'm hoping this was just an off day because when it's done right, it's excellent. We picked this place off Yelp reviews as our son wanted a Cuban Sandwich. I thought it was just "okay." It's kind of a hybrid between a fast food and sit down restaurant. You order at a kiosk or with the person as you enter. Then you sit down for the servers to bring your food to your table. It was hot so I went for a salad. My expectations were high because there were so many good reviews. I thought this was a table service restaurant but it was more fast food style. When you walk in you either order at the counter or on a kiosk. I used the kiosk, took a number and sat myself at an empty table. First thing I didn't really care for was that I couldn't add to my order a glass of water, so I ordered a lemonade. I ordered the lemonade to come in a glass not plastic. It came in plastic and I didn't say anything. When the lemonade was dropped off, I asked for a glass of water. They came back with a glass of room temperature water no ice, and told me that around the bar was self service. Second, when the ham croquettes were dropped off, they didn't bring any small plates. We ate them off napkins. Third, my food came out way in advance of my sons. I don't like to begin eating when the person I'm with doesn't have their food yet. So I sat there for a good 5 minutes waiting until his food arrived. The food wasn't great and I really didn't care for it. The jalapeños tasted like green peppers and not spicy at all. I think if you're looking for a traditional sit down restaurant with an actual server then you should skip this place. read more

My son wanted empanadas so I did some research in my Yelp app and found Sofrito Latín Café. We decided to try Sofrito and ordered delivery. The order arrived on time and without any issues in a sealed brown paper bag. . All items were packaged well and accounted for. I ordered the Salmon and Steak with Vegetables. I decided to indulge in dessert and got the Vanilla Flan. The Salmon was really good. It was cooked well and had a great flavor. The Steak and Vegetables were too. The Vanilla Flan was not too sweet and did not have too much sauce. My son enjoyed The Argentinian Beef Empanada and also had the Salmon. He too really enjoyed the Salmon and stated it tasted good. My other son ordered the Arepa Catira. He thought it was just ok. I would order from Sofrito Latin Cafe again. Perhaps next time, we will stop by and dine in. read more

All the food was great and can quickly. there wasn't much else to say. delicious. We tried 4 different types of Beef emapanadas. None was particularly amazing, but all were very good. The chicken soup comes in a huge bowl and has an entree sized portion of tender chicken. It was amazing. Tasted as good as any I've had (I've tried lots). I have been at Softito Latin Cafe a few times for a quick bite but never for breakfast. This trip to Orlando I'm sure glad I did. First, we were greeted with a smiling face. I saw the menu kiosk so I opted to use that instead to see pictures of the meal. Everything I ordered was great for sharing. Once I got my order it was exactly what the picture looked like. B.E.C was great. We finished the rest of the sweet plantains and arepitas fritas while enjoying our cafe con leche and Cuban cafe con leche sitting in the spacious outside patio with Latin music playing over the speakers. The Soda De Pollo was about the best I've ever had. The broth and white meat chicken were perfecto! Getting started is VERY non-intuitive. When you walk in there is a sign that says 'dine-in' that's leading you to a Kiosk. The Kiosk wants you to create a profile. You have to create a profile to order. There is another line with a Server who will take your money. Both lines were very long at lunch time on a Saturday. I glanced over at the bar and there were two people there. So I walked over and the guy behind the bar said 'skip the line' and have a seat so I did and it was smooth sailing after that! read more
