Went here for a vacation in Florida for breakfast! We ordered a beef Arepas that contains black beans and plantains, and a cafe con leche. The server helped advise food choices since we wanted something savory for breakfast! It met all the expectations! Savory and very filling! The total cost was ~$20 and there was plenty of free parking in front of the restaurant. Would definitely order the arepas again!

On our family trip down to Orlando, we were staying right next to this popular Latin cafe. Their menu was huge and had lots of different classics from arepas, sandwiches and grilled meats. I enjoyed the sandwiches we got as they were absolutely stuffed and loved the shredded pork. The grilled steak was also very good and had a nice char flavored that paired well with their chimichurri. The assorted platter we got was just ok as a lot of the meats were dry (possibly cuz they were cooking too many meats at once?). Overall I would say this restaurant was pretty good and had lots of variety so there are options for everyone to choose from. Apps: Ham Croquettes and Cod Fritters Entrees: Pabellon Arepas, Patacon (shredded pork in between plantains), Churrasco (grilled skirt steak) and Picada for Two (steak, chicken, pork and chorizo platter)

The next time you are visiting this place is a must stop. Its really close to Disney Springs and absolutely delicious. We stopped in for dinner and cocktails. The mojito was incredible but the food is the star for sure! Freshly made and delicious. There are so many wonderful options on the menu. We cant wait to stop back and try more including breakfast!

As a Caribbean woman my palate and my tummy were HAPPY! Well seasoned food, clean restaurant, great customer service, this place made my out of town friends super happy. Came during World Cup on a Friday afternoon. It wasn't packed but there was a steady stream of families and people who work in the area. Later into the afternoon more people started to come for the late games and Happy Hour drinks; not sure if they have drinks specials as this was a "dry work meeting." I had the 1/2 chicken, rice, black beans, plantains, and a mocktail. I will be back again to try more of their menu.

This spot is soo cute! We made the drive from the airport and were very happy we did. Everything was so yummy, I had the patacon de maduro and are you kidding me! They were super friendly, and helpful. It's true cafe style, so you can come here to have a good meal with family and friends or even get some work done. Excited to get back!

Pernil Sandwich with Side Sweet Plantains

It is my duty to come here every few years to remind everyone how much I love this place. I don't go there nearly enough, but I went yesterday and it reminded me just how good they are. We visited around 3:15pm on a Saturday and ordered at a tablet. I got a pernil with plantains and my companion got a churrasco. I also got their limited time St Paddy's day mocktail. It was kind of like a virgin apple mojito and it was really good and refreshing. The pernil was excellent as usual: well sauced and tender and juicy. The churrasco was beautifully cooked and seasoned. They always knock it out of the park here with their meats. The plantains were of course delicious as usual, and the service was great. My only comment is that I could've sworn that this place had Alfajores a few years ago. I could be wrong, but I vaguely recall them being delicious and I was sad to not see them on the menu this time. Any way you roll the dice, you won't regret coming to sofrito. They're quick, it's well priced, and the food has never disappointed me in my 7 years of going here.

I recently visited Sofrito Latin Café for a quick lunch. I ordered the Cuban Roast Pork with sides of Sweet Plantains, Black Beans, and Rice. The pork was tender, juicy and nicely salty. The plantains were soft and sweet, the beans were soft with flavorful seasoning and the rice was savory. Overall, Sofrito Latin Café is one of the better dining options in the Disney area and worth a visit.

Fresh and flavorful food with quick service. We stopped in while visiting Disney World in October 2025. The portion size was excellent for the price; we could g even finish all of our food. The Cuban sandwich had a hefty amount of meat; the arepas did, too! Come hungry! This is fast-casual dining that is pretty healthy and fresh. Loved it!

We stopped by Sofrito's one of her go-to restaurants in Orlando on our return home from Disney Springs. We had what we always order and both were not as tasty as they normally are. My wife had the Chimchurry steak and it was a piece that was quite tough and hard to chew; but, still a pretty good flavor. I had the 36 hour braised pork with black beans, yellow rice, and fries. The pork was just a bit dry and not as tasty as it normally is. We know this is a one off, so we'll definitely be back as it is a well run operation.

There are tons of great restaurants in Orlando. BUT, there's only ONE place at which we ALWAYS eat, EVERY time we come into town: Sofrito Latin Cafe. My family's been coming here for about 10 years now...we usually stop here at least twice per trip. The food is fantastic. Although I've had many of the entrees, and they've all been great, in general, I'm an arepa and empanada kind of guy. Along with Q'Kenan's, Sofrito's are some of the best in town. Interestingly, multiple styles of empanadas are available...Cuban, Argentine, Colombian, and of course, Venezuelan. Speaking of Venezuelan... Service: The service has always been fast, friendly, accurate...and cute. Are the waitresses cute? Yeah, just ask my 19 year old son. There's a reason why Venezuela, a county of (only) 30 million has won Ms Universe 7 times. Not a big deal, just something you notice. The atmosphere is modern, clean, comfortable, and casual. The patio doesn't have much of a view, but still, it's nice to eat outside when it's not too humid and hot, (or like this past weekend, too friggin' cold). Drinks: They have everything! Coffee, Latin pop, craft beer, cocktails, and even wine! Try the pineapple mojito. There are probably Latin Cafes in Orlando that are more authentic, but SLC has stood the test of time. We've been very happy at Sofrito Latin Cafe for the past 10 years...here's to 10 more! 5 stars!!

We've ordered the skirt steak here twice, and our experiences were very different. The first time, it was absolutely amazing, perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. It honestly set the bar really high. Unfortunately, the second time around it was quite dry and overcooked, which was disappointing given how great it was before. Everything else was still good, but the inconsistency with the steak stood out. I'm hoping this was just an off day because when it's done right, it's excellent. Would still consider coming back, but consistency would make a big difference. read more

We picked this place off Yelp reviews as our son wanted a Cuban Sandwich. I thought it was just "okay." It's kind of a hybrid between a fast food and sit down restaurant. You order at a kiosk or with the person as you enter. Then you sit down for the servers to bring your food to your table. It was hot so I went for a salad. Maybe not the best choice; the salad was good but I can't really comment on the Cuban sandwich which was highly rated ... but I guess I can't say, none of my family would even let me have a bit, so it must've been good. read more

My expectations were high because there were so many good reviews. I thought this was a table service restaurant but it was more fast food style. When you walk in you either order at the counter or on a kiosk. I used the kiosk, took a number and sat myself at an empty table. First thing I didn't really care for was that I couldn't add to my order a glass of water, so I ordered a lemonade. I ordered the lemonade to come in a glass not plastic. It came in plastic and I didn't say anything. When the lemonade was dropped off, I asked for a glass of water. They came back with a glass of room temperature water no ice, and told me that around the bar was self service. Second, when the ham croquettes were dropped off, they didn't bring any small plates. We ate them off napkins. Third, my food came out way in advance of my sons. I don't like to begin eating when the person I'm with doesn't have their food yet. So I sat there for a good 5 minutes waiting until his food arrived. The food wasn't great and I really didn't care for it. The jalapeños tasted like green peppers and not spicy at all. I think if you're looking for a traditional sit down restaurant with an actual server then you should skip this place. read more

My son wanted empanadas so I did some research in my Yelp app and found Sofrito Latín Café. We decided to try Sofrito and ordered delivery. The order arrived on time and without any issues in a sealed brown paper bag. . All items were packaged well and accounted for. I ordered the Salmon and Steak with Vegetables. I decided to indulge in dessert and got the Vanilla Flan. The Salmon was really good. It was cooked well and had a great flavor. The Steak and Vegetables were too. The Vanilla Flan was not too sweet and did not have too much sauce. My son enjoyed The Argentinian Beef Empanada and also had the Salmon. He too really enjoyed the Salmon and stated it tasted good. My other son ordered the Arepa Catira. He thought it was just ok. I would order from Sofrito Latin Cafe again. Perhaps next time, we will stop by and dine in. read more

When I'm in town for business my coworkers know exactly where I like to go for lunch. This is the kind of food I grew up on and I'm picky but Sofrito passes every test. Had not gotten around to bringing the family by yet though until today. We leave tomorrow but they want to come back here first next time we are back. The media noche is amazing and the plantains and yuca were also incredible. Juicy and flavorful pork and delicious bread all coming together and nothing was left on our plates. Service is attentive and the food came out with not much wait. The restaurant itself is cozy and has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and good music and vibes. This place was on my radar after looking at all the crazy expensive places near my hotel (I.e. Jaleo). It had great reviews so I gave it a try. I'll be back any time I'm in Orlando. All the food was great and can quickly. there wasn't much else to say. delicious. We tried 4 different types of Beef emapanadas. None was particularly amazing, but all were very good. The chicken soup comes in a huge bowl and has an entree sized portion of tender chicken. It was amazing. Tasted as good as any I've had (I've tried lots). I have been at Softito Latin Cafe a few times for a quick bite but never for breakfast. This trip to Orlando I'm sure glad I did. First, we were greeted with a smiling face. I saw the menu kiosk so I opted to use that instead to see pictures of the meal. Everything I ordered was great for sharing. Once I got my order it was exactly what the picture looked like. B.E.C was great. We finished the rest of the sweet plantains and arepitas fritas while enjoying our cafe con leche and Cuban cafe con leche sitting in the spacious outside patio with Latin music playing over the speakers. Was looking for some Latina flavor for my tastebuds while in the area. Upon walking in, we were asked to put our order in from the touchscreens by the entrance. Great pictures and descriptions on the menu. Ordered a random spread of deliciousness and sat down at a table with our number. And boyyyyy did they deliver! Its easy to see why this place gets such great reviews, the food is excellent! I had the Cuban Empanada, the Soap De Pollo and a Cuban. It was all delicious! The Soda De Pollo was about the best I've ever had. The broth and white meat chicken were perfecto! Getting started is VERY non-intuitive. When you walk in there is a sign that says 'dine-in' that's leading you to a Kiosk. The Kiosk wants you to create a profile. You have to create a profile to order. There is another line with a Server who will take your money. Both lines were very long at lunch time on a Saturday. I glanced over at the bar and there were two people there. So I walked over and the guy behind the bar said 'skip the line' and have a seat so I did and it was smooth sailing after that! read more

What can I say... this place was amazing! From the hospitality when you first walk in, to the drinks and especially the food!!!! Place is very clean. The lady that takes your order I just wanted to call her Tia, which is aunt in Spanish culture and a compliment. I had the Cuban sandwich, Cuban beef empanadas, maduros and margaritas! I wish I could have ate more but u simply had no space. There was no skimp in the marg liquor, all I needed was one. The empanada was crisp to perfection and the filling was well seasoned. The Cuban sandwich was pressed to perfection and yes I had all it with everything! Pickles mustard ham Pernil cheese. Maduros was nice and ripped. My sis had the lomo which I tried and it was delicious! Def a meal I would try next time I'm in Florida! This was the perfect ending to our trip. I would absolutely come here again on my next stay! Second time here while in Orlando. We went for breakfast this time. They have such delicious food and so many yummy combinations and options. They even had seasonal pumpkin spice coffee which was really good. The meals came out really quick after ordering. It wasn't very busy that morning. Mostly quiet except someone's child crying. I ordered the churrasco steak that came with chimichurri and 3 sides. The steak was cooked perfectly but I wouldn't consider chimichurri to be real chimichurri. It was just okay. The three sides I ordered were fried yuca, tostones, and yellow rice. The fried yuca had a green herbs that I wasn't a fan of and wished it was listed on the menu. The tostones were good and the yellow rice was a bit dry and cold. For 27 dollars I did expect the sides to be better. Today we had lunch at Sofrito Latin Cafe and it was very good. Before I write my review, I have one recommendation. Look at the pictures and read some of the reviews on Yelp so you know what you are ordering. When we went to order, we didn't know what many of the food options were before we ordered. Some things on the menu are very clear such as the hamburger and fries. I ordered the chicken and goat cheese arepa which I wasn't quite sure what it was. It was very good but not sure I would order again. My husband had the Colombian burger with a side salad and loved it. My sister and her partner ordered the same burger but with French fries. They didn't like the sweet aspect to the burger but the fries were delicious. I tasted my husband's burger and I like the sweet flavor that was on it. I also ordered the ham and cheese croquettes for us to share. Not at all what I expected but very good. The restaurant is very clean, wait staff was excellent and everything we ordered was fresh and on point. My sister ordered a Bloody Mary and said it was spicy the way she likes them. read more

A must try when you're in the area! My friend and I were in the area and looking for a delicious restaurant not far from where we were staying. We were recommended to try Sofrito and we were not disappointed. When you walk into, the restaurant has two options for you to order. You can either use their automatic screen, order and take a number or one of their staff members have a stand where you can order from them as well. In terms of seating, the restaurant has an inside and outside seating options. Both are great and we enjoyed sitting outside since the restaurant has a hustle and bustle to it. I had dinner here last week while staying nearby. Sofrito is in a stand-alone building with plenty of parking available in front. It is a counter service restaurant serving Latin food. I chose the Peruvian Pollo al Horno entree for $18. It came with 3 sides and a salad. For the side dishes I picked red beans, black beans and sweet plantains. After getting my soft drink and grabbing a table my meal arrived in about 5 minutes. I liked everything served. The bird was big, juicy and flavorful. The red beans had some pork in them and tasted very good. The black beans were also rich in flavor. The plantains were sweet and delicious. Finally, the salad was full of content and fresh tasting. This was a very good tasting and filling meal and a value too. I only had the chance to have one meal at Sofrito Latin Cafe but it was a very good one. My meal was easily a 4 score. If I had the chance to try something else and enjoyed it this much I might give a 5 score. This is a good place to eat! read more

I didn't make any complaints because the employees seem not to speak English well and it's hard to be a foreigner trying to adapt to the culture and the language. Regardless of how good something is, there shouldn't be a $9 difference from what is on the menu. That is absurd. On my last trip- $43 for an empanada, tequeńos and a patacon just doesn't sound right for Venezuelan food, and I come from living in Miami where restaurants are supposed to be more expensive. Add a tip and you're paying over $50 for street food. That's wild.

This time, they were slightly dry instead of perfect like last time. The grilled chicken with cilantro-crema, mashed potatoes and corn remains my favorite dish on the menu. Ask for a side of the sauce too; it's that good. The cheeseburger and fries was standard and okay but unremarkable, which means it was perfect for my mom who is a picky eater and not adventurous. Pro-Tip: if you are headed somewhere with a refrigerator, order the full portion of the grilled chicken with cilantro-cream and take one breast and some mashed potatoes home for another meal. The full portion is only $3 more than the light version, but comes with a second piece of chicken breast. Otherwise, save the $3 because one breast is plenty filling. You could also consider sharing the full portion plate to save room (and money) for apps or dessert. We chose the flaming pineapple butter cake for dessert. It arrived piled high with pineapples and vanilla ice cream on the side. When the server lit the sauce then poured it, the flames danced. However, not all the alcohol burns off. The cake was saturated and tasted of alcohol where it was poured. Warning: Check your receipt. We were charged $2.99 for trivia games we did not play and $0.50 extra for cheese when the item ordered was a cheeseburger listed as coming with cheese on the menu for $18.99.

Staff at Sofrito have asked me to write a review. Here it is: We was attracted by the name "Sofrito", especially because my two companions are actually Puerto Rican and they were craving for Puerto Rican food. First thing we asked was for the famous Mofongo, they said that they have it. We ordered a Shrimp mofongo and a Pork mofongo, myself I ordered Roast Pork. While we wait for it we got some empanadas that were delicious, and other appetizers really good. When we got the entrees there was the problem. The mofongo was cold and we doubt about it that it was made on premises. About my roast pork, I was not able to eat it. I try a couple of pieces and I left it in the plate almost untouched. I have never had such a hard rock pieces of pork with a microwave reheated test. Because I am honest i told the server right away. We ended up not eaten our entrees because my companions had similar issues. I was drinking beer and my companions coconut soda. Because the bad test of the food was in our mouth before we left, we ask for one coconut soda to wash it down. We paid our bill in full, even if we did not eat the food, and we left. Can you believe that they rushed out asking us to pay for the last can of soda? Obviously this people does not have any restaurant experience ! Any restaurant if you leave the food untouched will have some kind of compensation, some others will not even charge you for the food you did not eat !. But they didn't care ! they still want to get paid 1,50 for the soda. UNBELIEVABLE!!! read more

When we ordered lunch to go, we encountered several issues during pickup, but we assumed it was just a one-time problem. We decided to give it another try and came in for dinner today. Sadly, things only got worse. Winni took our order incorrectly, was noticeably rude, and overcharged us. When we asked her to correct the mistake, she responded with an attitude rather than an apology. When the food finally arrived, it was extremely bland and lacked any flavor. To top it off, we ordered dessert, but it was never brought out--we had to specifically ask for it. Overall, this visit was nothing like our first and left us very disappointed. I recently discovered a fantastic Cuban restaurant located close to Disney, thanks to a colleague who took me there. I ordered a Cuban Sandwich and was blown away by how delicious it tasted. The worse service in Orlando a -10. Place was empty and we had to wait over 30 minutes for a coffee. Spoke to the Manager and still did not get service. Soup was spilled all over the plate, food was totally cold after they finally brought it. I have never, ever received such an unprofessional and insufficient service.
