So today was the last day of our family vacation and my wife and I wanted to bring our nephew and sister-in-law to experience this place. We were sat towards the back, nice and quiet. I ordered their in season cinnamon toast cereal milk cocktail and it was delicioussss. Their coffee was delicious as well. I ordered their eggs Benedict with smoke salmon & potatoes (this is my favorite dish here), my mom ordered their in season so cal hash bowl (not pictured) my son ordered the kids bacon and egg (scrambled) and the kids French toast which I got to try and it was delicious! Found this place on a whim, but overall was pretty good. The only lackluster part was the server. Came by to take our order and stopped by to give us our check. If it was busy I would give it a pass, but it was not very busy when we stopped in. The cheesy Grits were top notch, collectively our favorite part of the dish. I want to apologize that this review really is of First watch in general. I am Gluten free-allergy not preference, So when my family suggested first watch I knew I could eat there. Now, unfortunately we had stopped patronizing first watch near our home (in another state) due to inconsistent food production. But I knew they could modify my order. So I said yes. I ordered a pick 2. And the over head statement is, the order came out correctly with modifications. But here's the however, my sandwich did not look like my companion who had no modifications. My sandwich was looked sloppy and sad. In fact it was doused in mayo to the extent it was spilling out the sides. So, I asked for a replacement. My waiter looked at me and said, some people like it that way. If the kitchen believes that a sandwich should have so much mayo it should spill out of the sides, serve it in a ramekin on the side. But that was messy and all around unappealing. My replacement came out, boxed (as requested) because at this point my table is done eating. And my veggie sandwich consisted of three 1/2 cremini mushrooms. Gee, thanks. So I sent back the food and now the kitchen is either mad or rushing. Shucks. So I, with the dietary restriction get to smile and say thank you so as to not be rude or disruptive to my family whom I'm visiting. My husband never got his ice coffee and we had to ask for an extra plate. As a whole, the experience at this location is par for being in a tourist community near the holidays. But the experience for anyone who needs a modification on your order. Just find somewhere else. First watch team members really seem to be bothered. We decided to walk to the first watch which was about 2 miles from where we were staying while visiting Orlando, Florida. I was able to get on the waitlist via the website. Upon arriving we were able to be seated within ten minutes on a busy Saturday morning. The restaurant was tastefully decorated and had something on the menu for everyone. We ordered the million dollar potatoes which was a version of the breakfast potatoes which were topped with bacon and a delicious white cheese sauce. We also opted for a chorizo omelette and the traditional breakfast. I can't remember the exact name, but it was two eggs served with your choice of meat, a side and their whole grain toast. Our food came out piping hot and exactly as ordered. We saw so many plates that passed our table that we may be back tomorrow. It was the perfect start of my day. Good call. Darn thing filled the entire plate! Haha. We also ordered a morning meditation drink--tasty! Fresh and flavorful coffee was left on the table in a thermal pitcher--folks, this may have been the highlight of my morning! I really get annoyed when a diner pours coffee flavored water! This place served hot coffee with great flavor! Check out was annoying and needs an upgrade. We had to take our check and wait in a line of people who were waiting for a table, just to pay our bill. Um, really! I found myself helping the host figure out who was waiting in line first because she was in the back! Hence my four star rating. It was very convenient coming off an early morning flight and finding a place for breakfast before heading to the theme parks. First watch succeeds by making a truly crave Able menu full of high fat and high high sugar entrées. If you were under 40, that's fine. When you get older, you have to be careful lol. We very much enjoyed our breakfast, but not every entrée is a hit, especially the seasonal offerings. My partner remarked that it was the best coffee he had had in a very long time. Having been to quite a few First Watch locations in Arizona, I was happy to come upon one in Florida! We stopped for an early breakfast on a Friday and were only one of a couple of groups there, so it was pretty peaceful and enjoyable! With it being fall, I was excited to try their pumpkin pancake and it did not disappoint! The chicken sausage wasn't my favorite, but the eggs were cooked well which isn't always the case!
