Spacious patio with fans and gorgeous lighting. Seems made for dancing. Need to order as you walk in but it saves you money in the tip and you can leave when you're done!!! 8 Papa Rellena - fried mashed potatoes stuffed with meat 10 Cuban Empanada w chicken 10+ Venezuelan empanada w cheese - Crunchy thin corn shell and salty cheese, don't need the dip! 9 Venezuelan empanada w shredded beef - thick corn shell with flavorful shredded beef served with a dill dip Passion fruit juice - Tastes like it isn't fresh and is sweetened and watered down, but this isn't a bad thing because we actually liked it. :) Gold Peak Tea machine features Southern Sweet, Unsweetened, and Raspberry tea. I got the Southern sweet and don't think it's even California sweet. 9.5 Churrasco - Tender seasoned steak with a tasty chimchurri sauce served with a side salad and your choice of 3 sides. The 3 sides really make this a great deal. Sooo much yummy food! I would get extra chimchurri sauce next time. So sad that it's all gone now. :( 7.5 Fried Yuca - Tastes like a thick French fry but better 8 Sweet Plantain - not as caramelized as I like but tasty 7 Black Beans were good but nothing out of the ordinary from what we get in California 8 Cuchapa with Cheese - Lukewarm with a sweet corn shell drizzled with a cream sauce. I found two layers of corn made it too sweet but it was perfect when I only used half of the shell. 9 Coconut Flan - very sweet compared to Mexican flan. The coconut goes very well with it. Definitely good to eat with a coffee nearby. The consultancy is more pudding than a dense Mexican flan 9 Cortadito - I thought that a cortadito had more half and half in it but this is like straight espresso! It is smooth and dark (I added a touch of cane sugar). All said in done, we've eaten so much that we can't walk and I will definitely come back. I will miss thee most Venezuelan Cheese Empenada!!!! read more

You place your order on a computer screen which I thought was a little odd. For this unfamiliar with this type of cuisine you loose the human element of explaining the nuances of each dish. We ordered and "wow"! The food was delicious! Not our first experience with Caribbean Latin food. The steak was fork tender, and the sides were delicious and flavorful. I highly recommend this establishment. Ask a waiter or waitress for help explaining the dishes. read more

This place had decent reviews so decided to try it out . Cute interior and close to Disney Springs area. You walk up and order then take number to table to wait fir your food. I was really excited to get my Cuban sandwich only to realize half way in that I didn't get a Cuban sandwich. Apparently I was given the pork sandwich , which if I'm honest was bland. I was able to add the garlic cilantro sauce we asked for and that helped with the flavor . But really disappointed I didn't get what I ordered . My son got the special chicken Milanese, he said it was good but more rice than chicken . My husband got the ham and cheese arepa. He said it was just ok. Perhaps you will get luckier than us if you try. Check your order before you dive in, for sure !!! read more

My friend and I had a to-go order here and got the roasted pork dish with fried yucca, papa criolla, and tostones on the side. It also came with a small serving of salad with a tasty dressing. The pork was a little dry and salty for my liking but was flavorful and was balanced out with the sides. All of the sides were delicious -- all starchy, but quite enjoyable! There was also a side of creamy chipotle (?) sauce that was tasty. For the price point, the portions were pretty giving and was enough for both of us to share and stay full. If I'm ever back in the area, I'd definitely give it another try! read more

Based on the fantastic Yelp reviews, I knew we had to try this place while visiting Orlando. The inside space is cute and casual, and there is a large outdoor patio. The Churassco is absolutely fantastic! I would recommend this above anything else on the menu. The meat was so incredibly tender, and the chimichurri was some of the best I've had. Truly. Each entree comes with two sides, so you end up with a ton of food...not that I'm complaining! If that was the only thing we ordered, this restaurant would be a 5/5. Unfortunately, my husband had the roast chicken, which was a bit dry. However, the yuca fries he had were so yummy! I think we will be returning here during our next visit to Orlando! read more

In Orlando visiting for the weekend, had a hard time picking a Spanish restaurant and I'm soooo happy we chose this spot. The restaurant is eye catching I loved the whole feel of this place, but let's talk about the food, I got the pork with rice, black beans and plantains. My food tasted like pure happiness and I enjoyed every bite. The service was great, you order at the counter then have your food brought to you everything was spot on and I definitely plan to visit again. Fantastic place for great latin food, quick to order, seat yourself, extensive menu! Would recommend! * Pollo Al Horno: $15.50 comes with house salad and 3 sides (plantains, yellow rice, and columbian potatoes) * Venezuelan Empanada: $4.75 * Guava Juice: $4.00 * Iced Mocha: $4.75 The chicken was a little drier than I would have liked but overall everything was amazing! I really liked how it came with 3 sides for the main plate and every side was really delicious. The Empanada was great with a crispy outside and soft juicy inside. The sauce it came with definitely elevated the flavors as well! Would love to come back and try the other items on the menu! read more

This spot had been on my list to visit FOREVER, so I was so happy to finally make it here. This location is located directly in Lake Buena Vista, not far from Disney, on Palm Parkway. The restaurant is large and super cute with a beautiful bar and a somewhat rustic ambiance. The menu is quite extensive and offers a great variety of options, including several vegetarian choices. I ordered the Vegetarian plate which came with a nice collection of vegetables and three sides. The portions were large and satisfying. The sides were really the standout of the meal for me! Nowadays I feel like the wait time should be taken into consideration when rating. We now have the responsibility to grade on whether the wait time is worth the food. Due to the LONG wait time and mediocre food sofrito Latin cafe barely makes it to 3 stars. If you're in a hurry or hungry I'd pass on this place. 1-star location 1-star cleanliness 1-star ambiance -1star Service (wait time/host/cashier) -1 star food quality (mediocre) Overall, nothing but a cold iced coffee would bring me back since that's the only item they managed to bring quick and of good quality. read more

The family was in mood for some delicious Latin American food for dinner, and Sofrito Latin Cafe hit the spot! We really appreciated the ordering system. You stand in line for a few minutes, make your selections with the help of the staff, get a number, and finally sit and be served. It seemed to be the most efficient and fastest way to be served. Speaking of wait, our food came out in around 30 min which is to be expected, considering the volume of people coming through. The. Food. Was. Amazing! I got the Churrasco skirt steak which was delightfully tender and flavorful. The sides were good, but the steak was certainly the star. Portion sizes were excellent. The atmosphere was pleasant. Service was excellent. Staff brought out the food correctly and courteously. And overall the value was outstanding. All in all, a highly recommended restaurant experience for the area. Excellent restaurant! I highly recommend eating here. I love the contemporary vibe. Sofrito Latin Cafe has both indoor and outdoor seating, and even a bar. They even have free WiFi and board games so you can hangout for a while. I LOVE that they serve different Latin dishes from different regions - it's like everything Latin goodness under one roof! You order your food at the front, find a seat, then a server will bring your scrumptious food out to you. They serve breakfast, lunch & dinner. We had dinner with a party of 8, and we had no problem finding a table to accommodate all of us. Everything we ordered was over-the-top delicious! We tried the ham croquettes, mini papa rellena, cachapa, roast pork, churrasco (skirt steak with chimichurri sauce,) and the pargo rojo (snapper fillet) with sides like yellow rice, black beans, tostones and more. All delicious food! We wanted to eat there again before heading back to California, but time didn't allow us. I guess that means we need to go back to Orlando. =) read more

This place was an amazing spot to eat at in Disney Springs and had some of the best food I ate…read moreduring my trip in Florida. 4.5/5 We came pretty late to the establishment after a long day at the theme parks. We were staying at a Holiday Inn near Disney Springs so we decided to come here for a late dinner. One of the best decisions made here. We did a late night walk through the shopping center and landed here around 9:50 pm. It was pretty late and we worried there would be no seats but we were seated promptly. The establishment was very ambient, cozy, and well furnished. I liked the warm, glowing atmosphere of the restaurant. The server was extremely polite and took our order quite soon. We were starving after a long day but the food came out in around 20ish minutes which wasn't too bad. The serving sizes were quite huge. We didn't expect this much food for two portions. For $34 per plate, the dishes were large and came with a large helping of sides. The fried chicken was extremely crispy and juicy. They originally wanted to serve the food quickly/more fresh so they served a chicken thigh to me after on a second plate. They also forgot my substitution of Mac n cheese for mash potatoes so I got a free helping of mash which was sweet. The pickled cucumber was light and fresh which tasted great with the heavier chicken. The potatoes were a little heavy and I wish came with gravy, but still delicious. I really loved the Mac n cheese and finished that up. The chicken steak was also delicious with the grits but a little too salty. Wish they added the grits to the side for me to dip as it became a little too much at times. It was better to eat it with a side of potatoes to balance the flavor. The broccolini was sautéed perfectly and delicious, could eat a whole plate of those alone. The biscuits weren't bad but tasted better eaten with the potatoes. The food was a little heavy but so so good. We had to take half of the food to our hotel and ate it the next day for dinner as it was way too much food for one meal. Even after microwaving it, the food was just as delicious and flavorful. We spent about $80 but had so much food leftover. An expensive dinner, but everything tasted amazing. Would definitely come back if I had the chance.

It is a family owned restaurant founded by New York natives who noticed a gap in Central Florida for high quality, authentic New York style diner food. The original location opened on Universal Boulevard in the Lake Cay area, near Universal Orlando and SeaWorld. The restaurant quickly became popular with both locals and vacationers looking for an alternative to the standard hotel breakfast buffet. Following the success of the Universal Boulevard location, the owners expanded to additional Central Florida locations, including Lake Buena Vista and Dr. Phillips. The Diner has gained attention for its creative twists on classic comfort food. One of its signature dishes is the Bennyffle a combination of Eggs Benedict served over a waffle. The menu also features specialty cereal pancakes, including Fruity Pebbles and Oreo Crunch, along with classics such as chicken and waffles. In July 2026, the Universal Boulevard location even became the center of a viral national news story after a family of seven including children reportedly walked out on a $298.47 breakfast bill. The story highlighted how hard family businesses work and how an incident like this can affect them. I recently met up with a group of friends at The Diner for brunch. The Diner can get crowded, and they do not take reservations. I am grateful that one of my friends arrived very early to wait for a table for our group. The diner offers a selection of coffee drinks as well as alcoholic beverages, making it a festive spot for brunch. Since I had a long day ahead, I stuck with coffee and ordered the signature chicken and waffles. The combination was delicious. The crispy, savory fried chicken was the perfect partner to the soft, buttery waffles, while the warm, sweet maple syrup contrasted to the salty chicken. It was a very large portion and I really enjoyed my meal. The service was excellent, and the staff were very accommodating when we needed several separate checks. I loved my visit to The Diner, and the experience was made even better by sharing brunch with a great group of friends. The empanada came LOADED with shredded beef and this empanada didn't skimp out on quality. It tastes so good when you dip it with the green sauce and it was chef's kiss. I think this is the best empanada I ever had and when I tried other empanada, it doesn't even compare to this. I ordered another dish but I forgot the name and it's soo good. I was a little disappointed because the menu said pick 3 sides and I chose all beef. Alfredo didn't mention to me that there would be an additional charge for the beef. As a result, I had to pay an additional $10 which was very pricey and didn't find out until I received my bill and saw the charge. I didn't make any complaints because the employees seem not to speak English well and it's hard to be a foreigner trying to adapt to the culture and the language. Cons- There is ALWAYS a weird perm smell when you go. It literally smells like someone is perming their hair, so not good. Another con is sometimes it takes long to get your food. And last but not least, I think their prices are not reasonable lately. Some of the prices do not match their menu, not sure when they raised their prices but I have never ever heard of a patacon costing almost $26 anywhere, and I frequent a lot of Venezuelan spots. Their name went from Q'Kenan restaurant to Q'Kenan Steakhouse so maybe now they just raised all the prices, I don't know. Their most expensive patacon on the menu is the one with Picańha and it says $17...yet I got charged 25.90. Regardless of how good something is, there shouldn't be a $9 difference from what is on the menu. That is absurd. On my last trip- $43 for an empanada, tequeńos and a patacon just doesn't sound right for Venezuelan food, and I come from living in Miami where restaurants are supposed to be more expensive. Add a tip and you're paying over $50 for street food. That's wild.

I love the sweet, salty, and savory altogether. The five and Dime is another hit and I think their signature sandwich. It is like the farmer but instead of apple butter it has gravy and it also has an egg. They also have some pretty good waffles, which is what I get for my kid when I take him here. Their tea and coffee selection is robust. The only downside is that as they have gotten bigger and they have lost some of their personal touches. They used to ask me funny questions and would use that to help find you to give you your order. They might ask who your favorite superhero was and call you that way. Sofrito Latin Café offers a delightful escape into the vibrant and rich world of Latin American flavors. Located in a cozy, inviting space, the restaurant captures the essence of Latin cuisine with a modern twist. The atmosphere is casual yet lively, with bright decor that instantly transports you to a warm, tropical destination. The menu is a celebration of Latin American staples, featuring a mix of classic and innovative dishes. The mofongo is a standout--fried plantains mashed to perfection and paired with savory meats or seafood, making for a comforting and flavorful dish. The arroz con pollo (rice with chicken) is another favorite, with tender, seasoned chicken and a perfectly cooked rice base that's rich in flavor. For appetizers, the tostones (crispy fried green plantains) served with a tangy garlic dipping sauce are addictive, and the empanadas are equally delicious, with a crispy exterior and savory fillings. The salsa bar offers a nice variety of dipping sauces that complement the bold flavors throughout the meal. One of Sofrito's highlights is its cocktail selection, with expertly crafted mojitos, margaritas, and their signature Sofrito Punch, all featuring fresh ingredients and a strong Latin flair. It's the perfect way to start the meal or end it with a sweet note. Service is warm and attentive, with staff offering helpful recommendations and a genuine enthusiasm for the food they serve. Prices are reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes, making it a great option for both casual outings and special occasions. Overall, Sofrito Latin Café is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the bold, flavorful world of Latin cuisine. With a mix of delicious food, refreshing drinks, and a welcoming ambiance, it's easy to see why this place is a favorite for many. read more

Staff at Sofrito have asked me to write a review. Here it is: We was attracted by the name "Sofrito", especially because my two companions are actually Puerto Rican and they were craving for Puerto Rican food. First thing we asked was for the famous Mofongo, they said that they have it. We ordered a Shrimp mofongo and a Pork mofongo, myself I ordered Roast Pork. While we wait for it we got some empanadas that were delicious, and other appetizers really good. When we got the entrees there was the problem. The mofongo was cold and we doubt about it that it was made on premises. About my roast pork, I was not able to eat it. I try a couple of pieces and I left it in the plate almost untouched. I have never had such a hard rock pieces of pork with a microwave reheated test. Because I am honest i told the server right away. We ended up not eaten our entrees because my companions had similar issues. I was drinking beer and my companions coconut soda. Because the bad test of the food was in our mouth before we left, we ask for one coconut soda to wash it down. We paid our bill in full, even if we did not eat the food, and we left. Can you believe that they rushed out asking us to pay for the last can of soda? Obviously this people does not have any restaurant experience ! Any restaurant if you leave the food untouched will have some kind of compensation, some others will not even charge you for the food you did not eat !. But they didn't care ! they still want to get paid 1,50 for the soda. UNBELIEVABLE!!! read more

Lunch at Sofritos was nothing short of spectacular, just as it always is. From the moment we stepped in, the inviting atmosphere and the rich aromas of the kitchen set the tone for what would be a delightful culinary experience. We kicked off our meal with some refreshing bubbly that sparkled in our glasses, adding a celebratory touch to the occasion. The standout dish was undoubtedly the delightful croquetas. Each bite was a perfect blend of creamy, savory goodness, and they were complemented by a zesty dipping sauce that intensified the flavors. But the real highlight was the amazing arepa. Stuffed to perfection, it was a harmonious mix of textures and flavors that transported us straight to culinary bliss. The warmth of the arepa coupled with the fresh ingredients made it feel like a warm embrace on a plate. As we enjoyed our light lunch, we exchanged stories and laughter, feeling rejuvenated and energized for the rest of the day. There's something incredibly uplifting about a meal shared with good company, and nothing beats the vibrant charm of Sofritos to kickstart our afternoon. #Florida #Orlando #yelpelite #sofritoslatincafe read more

I went to Sofrito Latin Cafe for lunch today and had an incredible experience. This place knows how to make real Latin food that hits all the right spots - everything was fresh, flavorful, and made you feel like family. I tried the churrasco steak with yuca and maduros. The steak was perfectly grilled with a nice char on the outside but still juicy inside. It came with this amazing chimichurri sauce that had just the right amount of garlic and herbs. The yuca was creamy and buttery, and those sweet plantains were caramelized to perfection. Even though it was busy during lunch rush, the energy was positive and welcoming. What impressed me was the attention to detail. My coffee came in a proper cup and saucer, the bread was warm, and everything was seasoned perfectly. You can taste the difference when people take pride in their cooking. For $19, I got a huge meal that was restaurant quality but felt homemade. I'm already telling my friends about this place - it's exactly what Orlando needs more of. read more

We visited this place three years ago and had a fantastic experience, so we were excited to return. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. When we ordered lunch to go, we encountered several issues during pickup, but we assumed it was just a one-time problem. We decided to give it another try and came in for dinner today. Sadly, things only got worse. Winni took our order incorrectly, was noticeably rude, and overcharged us. When we asked her to correct the mistake, she responded with an attitude rather than an apology. When the food finally arrived, it was extremely bland and lacked any flavor. To top it off, we ordered dessert, but it was never brought out--we had to specifically ask for it. Overall, this visit was nothing like our first and left us very disappointed. We do not recommend this place anymore. read more

For starters, don't expect a server, you order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Ordered a steak dish and the pice was small and dry after I wanted it cooked medium. The small piece I got was $15 for lunch. *Important - Do not take your significant other to this place! Gentleman at the counter kept pushing salsa dance lessons and after 3 times of my wife telling him no thank you, he asked if she was Puerto Rican and then followed that up with asking if her and I were together. Both times, I had rotisserie chicken; 1/4 chicken cooked to tender perfection, red beans and seasoned rice, plus sweet, fried plantains. It is a very delicious and filling meal. I sampled my wife's chicken soup with chunks of chicken, corn, potatoes or yucca and green plantains. It was very good. Service was kind, attentive and remembered us from our first visit. The food came out at very different times -- there was about a 15-minute gap between the beans and the chicken, so our group couldn't really enjoy the meal together. We were also surprised to see automatic gratuity added for a party of only five, especially considering the slow service. Between the low food quality, poor timing, and service issues, the experience was disappointing. The Lomo Saltado was the one bright spot. Will not return.

The guacamole is seriously to die for, and the salsas were just as good. I had the mango-avocado ensalada, which was fresh, light, and somehow still really filling. And the carne asada and al pastor? Chef's kiss. So flavorful and cooked perfectly! Uriel was absolutely wonderful! He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. The rest of the staff was just as welcoming, and the restaurant itself was impeccably clean. As someone visiting from Southern California, my Mexican food standards are pretty high, and Frontera Cocina definitely delivered. I would 100% come back the next time I'm in Florida. It was amazing and infused with papaya and melon. I would definitely recommend here.

Good texture. beef: I loved it but others may not. We got to choose doneness and I got medium well. Chewy but nice crust. Normally bbq doesn't ask so I was very happy. ribs: decent. not too much to say. Soft. Corn (side): crunchy corn with cheese was good, though patties were thicc. Little too much for me. ASK FOR THEIR SAUCES. THEY ARE FIRE. They had a spicy, a creamy, and a salsaish one. All 3 were so good. I loved it. especially the spicy one. Decent value for price. For lunch we ordered the ceviche. Thank goodness we shared it because it's massive! Sweet potatoes, fried calamari, and tostones all came with it. We barely finished it between the two of us. Our friends ordered the prime rib and the traditional dish of Cazuela de frijoles. The prime rib steak was pretty fatty. But they ate most of it. The traditional dish was also huge! She had a lot of leftovers to take home. While we were eating a man came in to preform on the stage. He played guitar and sang. It wasn't too loud, and we were right next to the stage. Our waiter was very nice. He was also making the drinks. I had a passion fruit juice. It was delicious but I think they use something processed, out of a plastic bottle that they add water to... I would probably go back. The prices are very reasonable and the food and service is very good.

It was conveniently located nearby and turned out to be a wonderful breakfast stop. The atmosphere was cozy, welcoming, and relaxing, which was exactly what we needed in the morning. The staff gave us such a warm welcome and were very patient while we took our time looking through the menu and deciding what to order. For drinks, we ordered the 3 Mocha, a cappuccino, and a matcha latte, and everything tasted great. The mocha in particular was excellent, it had such a rich, naturally delicious flavor that it honestly didn't need any additional sweetness. For breakfast, we ordered the Breakfast Club, Avocado & Egg Salad Sandwich, and Mushroom Avocado & Vegan Sausage Breakfast Burrito. Everything was delicious, and the portions were excellent and very satisfying. There was a great variety of flavors across the dishes, and everyone at the table found something they really enjoyed. Overall, Moma's Cafe was a great breakfast experience from start to finish. Between the cozy atmosphere, welcoming staff, delicious drinks, and generous portions, it's definitely a place we would happily return to the next time we're in the area. A breakfast spot worth repeating!

There were at least 8 parties that came and left because they didn't want to wait. I guess for a business that's a good problem to have. ‍ Giving three stars because the ambiance was nice, cashier seemed friendly, menu had a nice selection for brunch, speciality drinks/coffee. Next time I'm in town and try the food I can give additional two stars if the food is worth it.
