I'd give this place 10 STARS if that was possible. I wanna bring this restaurant home with me!! This food is AMAZING! We just happened to be staying at a nearby hotel, curiosity got the best of me and I'm so glad. We ordered takeout of so many different items & loved every bit of it. I've never seen a restaurant serve 4 different types of empanadas & this place did all 4 perfectly. The Argentinian was my least favorite but still tasty. I recommend getting all 4, they're priced right so don't deprive your tastebuds. I ordered the churrasco dinner, medium rare, and it was cooked beautifully. I've learned that thin cut meats can be hit or miss...this was the most tender, flavorful HIT I've ever tasted. I really could go on and on describing each and every item but I think you should stop reading, stop searching, stop scrolling and go to Sofrito's ahora (right now!)!!!!! We found this place in a whim and it was AMAZING! The food is delicious, I ordered the Slow Roasted Pork and it knocked my socks off. The meat was tender and flavorful, the rice was perfectly cooked, the plantains were delicious and sweet, and the beans were seasoned perfectly! My fiancé ordered the Pabellón Arepa and the shell was crispy and the filing was so flavorful. We also ordered Croquetas and they came out so quickly and were delicious. The service was super quick and attentive, and the wait staff was super friendly. Upon walking in I was greeted by a young lady who asked if it was my first visit and took the time to explain that I would need to order first using one of the menu boards and then find a seed of my choice and the food would be brought out. With the menu in hand, I struggled to pick just one entrée because of the large variety of options. I finally settled on a Cuban sandwich, Nutella empanada, yellow rice and red beans. While I knew I probably could not eat everything, I was determined to try to taste it all. I was blown away by every aspect of my meal with the exception of not receiving one of the side items and receiving the fried dessert along with the main entrée items despite being told that it would come later while ordering. That said, when I brought the missing side item to the attention of the server, it was brought out in 2 minutes and the empanada dessert, it was still warm and tasty after sitting for 10 -15 minutes. Well I didn't get why they had the fast food like, cafeteria way of ordering food. You know, stand in line at the cash register and they will bring your food. Whatever, not a big deal. We ordered the shredded beef cachapa and the steak chimmichurri with fried bananas and tostones. OMG GREAT. Both of them were a home run with flavor. Can't even explain how good it was and the chimmichurri sauce too yes for sure! We ordered guava and passion fruit juice to wash it down. Guava juice was better in my opinion. We also took alfajores, pan de bono, and a Nutella empanadas to go. The alfajores and pan de bono were so good. The food here was good. The yucca frita with cilantro mojo was phenomenal! That mojo was out of this world! We got a cubano which i have had many and this one seemed to be missing something as well as venezuelan and columbian empanda both with a carne con papa filling i will say that the venezuelan one was better. But something was missing with spices. We also got the chicken milanese. This dish was great! For desert we got the nutella empanda and this was a hit with all the family. Unfortunately the staff were just not friendly. The man who took our order, the lady that brought our order and even another lady who we had to ask for silverware seemed extremely bothered and honestly a bit snobby. When we asked for silverware, we had already checked our to go bag, she said its in there, we said no theres no utensils, she flung the door open asked the waitress and then she came out to check the bag herself in disbelief. So then she got utensils and just threw them in the bag. We left and opened our food on the road luckily we did because they did not put the yucca and mojo. We called to let them know. Keep in mind my kids had already started eating. So we get there and the same waitress who forgot the untensils told my wife she remembered putting it in there, asked for the receipt and then asked to see all the food. I wasnt not about to take the food from the kids and pack it all up, so she asked the cook in the back if he made it and said ya but it was a different order. She looked shocked, said i swore i put it in there, nope there it was sitting there on the counter so she shoved it in a bag and gave it to my wife with a disgusting attitude! Very disappointed. Granted, I asked for platanos (instead of rice) and would have loved a somewhat sweet way to end the meal...the rice was really good. Everything was super flavorful and enjoyable. Food was great but the drinks were not. We noticed several people working on making the drinks on our flights. We were excited to try all the flavors but they were just horrible. Tripleta proved not to be a Cuban on steroids I was thinking it may be. Still a good (and quite HUGE) sandwich as there are quite a long list of goods in between the pressed cuban-ish bread. This is HUGE when compared to a Shack's shoe size. Tostones proved to be the missing star. No warmth and super dry. The dipping sauce was worthy, but not enough to pull it off as served. Next time we'll try their "Sofrito Special" fries. The fried Yucca al Cilantro Mojo was just shy of amazing. Their mojo has now set a new standard for others to exceed. So buttery and delicious. The sweet plantains too were a real delight with the crunchy fried like textures and nicely sweet bites. Everything ordered is a good size of servings easily shared for the cash tendered. Had a great time here. They do good food. I can't speak to the authenticity of it since I'm not Cuban. But the Churrasco was excellent. Portions were good and the huge outside patio was great. My friend and I decided to check this place out when we realized that a nearby park was terribly overcharging for Latin food. We weren't disappointed with Sofritos. We wanted empanadas and this place has an assortment! Cuban, Columbian, Venezuelan and so many other delicious small bites. I wanted to try them all! For dinner I got the Pollo a la Plancha (grilled chicken) it came with 3 sides and a small salad! Thought this was a great deal and everything was delicious. Loved Sofrito! We are in Orlando this week and Sofrito was less than a mile from our hotel. I make arepas and empanadas at home and have spent time in Venezuela and wanted to enjoy some comida Venezolana. I ordered an Arepa, a beef Venezuelan empanada, and tostones. They had various versions of empanadas so you have to specify which you want. The food was great! You order up front and they give you your cups and bring your food out to you. It was an authentic as it gets without being in Venezuela. Not only was the food great, they have games on a bookshelf you can play while waiting. We played uno. It was a lot of fun. My kids also enjoyed it. One had an arepa and empanada, one had a cheeseburger, and one had grilled chicken. Sorry my wife selected this location for us to try on our way back to the resort as we prepared to watch the Giants vs Cowboys football game. No offense, the food and the game was bad that night.
