The patecon with shredded beef sandwich was delicious. The pernil sandwich was good too, but it needed more meat - wasn't filled up as it should. Service was good too - fast and courteous. read more

Been there several times, garlic shrimp dish was very good. It's very close to Grande Villas and Cypress Pointe Resort. Very convenient location. read more

Excellent flavorful food! The staff was incredibly helpful and ready to provide recommendations for those who've never been there. I really like that it's a blend of Latin American food which allows you to try many different things. I'm in town visiting but plan to go back a few times! read more

Great restaurant. The classic dishes are the best. We had Breakfast and lunch. Dishes on both menu were good.

Wow! Great food at a great price. Had the skirt steak and a chicken dish. All the sides were very good. The meal came with a salad to which was a nice compliment to the dish. Overall great value and service was good. Everything on the plate was cooked perfectly. read more

Really tasty Latin food. I would definitely return here again. The nice part of this restaurant is that the menu allows you to choose flavors from many Latin countries so you are able to appreciate the nuances of each culture. I would suggest getting empanadas from the three different country choice to experience a flavor explosion. read more

We were visiting Orlando and after eating here we will have to visit again soon! Sofrito was beyond amazing! Everything on the plate was soooo good! We ordered the churrasco meat and it was perfection! We highly recommend this place! read more

So glad we took a local recommendation to Sofrito Latin Cafe. The food was excellent. The staff was very friendly and was truly interested if we enjoyed our meal. I highly recommend trying a few empanadas then splitting a meal for more Latin tastes. Make sure to leave room for desert and Cuban coffee read more

Friendly staff, clean utensils (unlike other restaurants visited here in Orlando). This restaurant offered an excellent food and service.

Took some friends here that were visiting town and they were blown away. Great food, atmosphere and service. Try the churros

Been here twice on vacation. Both times we did not get our food at the same. A plate here and there. We had to continuously asked for missing plates. Food is good, but service was not. Will not come again. read more

Not sure how this place got 5 stars on 512 reviews unless I just picked the wrong dish or the food was not on point that day, any ways i ordered from here for pick up about a week ago was vacationing there. I chose the grilled Chicken breast with yellow rice, black beans, boiled yucca with mojo. The food was just mediocre, could have Cooked a better plate myself at home. The chicken breast was not too fresh, very bland and I think it may have been pre cooked and was sitting under a heat lamp because the Breast had that hard brown top was not juicy and plump, the black beans were beyond bland, boiled yuca dry, the mojo sauce was not even on the yuca but on the side which was a concoction of cilantro, olive oil, garlic had wayyy too much cilantro and super salty,.. epic fail, no onions , I'm used to the real boiled yuca with mojo and onions simmered from Miami where I live. My meal did not even come with any Cuban bread, they said I could purchase some , what a joke. This place is called "Sofrito" which means the food should be seasoned properly , lol, stay away from this place and just go to pollo Tropical for a third of the price . I'm only giving it 2 stars because the beef and chicken empanadas were good. read more

This was a great find. Came with a friend while attending a conference. We had the chimmichurri steak, I asked medium well he asked rare. They came as asked. The sides were great, I had tostones, rice and black beans he had yucca, fries and red beans. All very good. Ordered empanadas as appetizers, chicken and a beef, both tasty. Really liked he accompanied sauces. Also had beer on tap was very tasty. Lastly the service was great. Very friendly people with good advice if you aren't fluent in their menu and ordering process. Authentic and tasty, great flavors, enjoy! read more

I often stay in a nearby hotel and have eaten here a couple times. The food is very good and the service is good as well. Today I used the Yelp app on my phone to order, and pay for, a pickup meal. I was glad I did, a huge group arrived just before me. I received my order very quickly, and went back to the hotel to eat. They made a mistake on my order, so I returned to get what I ordered. They made a mistake, but they made it right and made me satisfied. To me it's all in the recovery. I appreciate the way it was handled and I ate another great meal. I'm pretty boring, but the roast pork, with maduros, black beans and boiled yucca is what I come for and it is good here. read more

Excellent service and food! The sangria was perfect! We really enjoyed the relaxed environment.

More people need to visit this establishment!!!! Food is amazing and the staff extremely friendly!!!! Was visiting Orlando and even had to go for a repeat visit because of the food. read more

Traveling through the area, so I searched $ and only looked at 4 and 5 star places. The reviews for this place where great so I gave it a try and was not disappointed. I went with the roast pork which was outstanding. I wish my pork was this good. Tremendous value here. read more

This place is wonderful. The food is great, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. A must stop location if you are in the area. The Cuban sandwich (their best seller) is amazing. Prices are very fair along with portion sizes. I was in the area 5 days for both business and leisure and I went here twice with friends and coworkers. GREAT!!! read more

Delicious! What a gem in the middle of a tourist area. We had the pork dinner and chicken dinner. We were excited to choose 3 sides AND a salad. Red beans were outstanding, the fries stood up even though we ordered to go. The plantains were seared crispy, but not too sweet. We will most definitely take our daughter back there and eat in, when she's home from college!! Yummy!!! read more

Good food and value. Enjoy going there at least 2-3 per month only wish the truly had table service.

Everything was great here and I'm not just saying that because we were sick of theme park food! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I love the variety of Latin dishes that they have to offer along with the finger foods and desserts, very authentic! The portions are plentiful for great prices. Try it, you'll be glad you did!! read more

The food is delicious and scrumptious. The service is great. Kids ate all of their food.

OMG!!!! Best place to eat!! I loved it and would totally go back!!! The staff was super friendly! Seriously the best food! I loved everything about it! Go eat there!!!!! You will not regret it!!!!!!! It will be your new favorite place!!!! read more

Stumbled upon this place while searching for take out places near our condo. The photos of the food looked amazing and my husband talked me into dining in so we could try it fresh. We are in Orlando doing Disney with our kids so of course I'm exhausted but I reluctantly agreed. When we arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere. It's an unassuming gem of a restaurant. I really loved just about every aspect of this place. It had an urban industrial vibe mixed and had a high end feel but the atmosphere was still low key and casual. I knew I wanted to try the cachapas and a Cuban sandwich but couldn't decide between which of the small bite items to try so I asked Lucy to pick for me. My fave was the Venezuelan flour chicken empanadas. Holy foodie heaven... there are no photos because we inhaled them. After we ate, I ordered 3 to go and I may not be able to control myself enough to save them for my friends that are traveling with us. The flavors are well put together, the service is great, it's clean, and the whole vibe and food presentation tops it off. I'm hoping to make another trip before we fly home to try a few other dishes but I will certainly be back to my new "spot" any time I'm in Orlando. read more

This place definitely deserves the 4.5+ star rating that it has. Great service and great food. I really liked how they had different styles of empanadas from a bunch of latin countries. My daughter also really enjoyed her guava nutella waffles. read more

Super delicious! Trendy and charming. Great latin hits on the radio. Only complaint is no diaper changer in the restroom

MUST STOP AND EAT HERE!!! The food, the coffee, the dessert. SO GOOD! The staff was so sweet in answering our questions, and they're recommendations were SPOT ON. I ate the Pollo a la Plancha, my husband ordered the Churrisco, and our son ordered the Cuban. All were AMAZING. so much flavor, great portions at a great price. The pan de bono was delicious, had a little different flavor than what I'm used to, but I loved it! The Cuban coffee was strong and delicious (I drink black coffee and love Turkish coffee...so I prefer the strong coffees, and this was great for that). If you don't like stronger coffee, still order the Cuban coffee, but use the provided sugar packs for a sweeter taste. Also, their alfajores are so good! Nothing bad to say about this place. We found it on Yelp on our last day...our only regret is that we didn't find it sooner!! 5 stars all around. Clean, hospitable, comfy & casual atmosphere, patio & indoor seating, flavor packed food. You can't lose. Thank you Sofrito's! read more

Wonderful fresh breakfast! Eggs with bright orange yokes, sauces amazing, and fantastic coffee. Great friendly service, just wished I lived closer so I could come back more often! read more

I enjoy Venezuelan, Columbian, Peruvian and Argentinian food. I was apprehensive that the dishes prepared here would be authentic. But--- they were. The Churrasco steak was prepared properly, but of modest portion and a bit overcooked. The "3 sides" are also modest portions. The house salad comes on the entree plate and is about 4 bites. So reading that the portions are big? Not so much. Is the food authentic and worth a visit? Yes. read more

After all the reviews was expecting a crowded restaurant. Visited Thurs at 7 pm to find the place empty. Physically attractive space; modern lighting, rustic wood and granite table tops. Casual set up you order at counter and they serve on food on paper plates. Food was hot and plentiful. Server was attentive (a number of take out orders came in while we were there). Over all enjoyable but not what I expected - more fast food than sit down table service environment. read more

I've come to this restaurant a couple of times with my husband and we have had a wonderful experience here. The Staff is so friendly, nice and cheerful. Lucy, Jose Manuel and Miguel were very helpful, these guys do a fantastic job. We've tried the Venezuelan cheese empanadas, Cachapa, churrasco; everything was delicious and authentic. The atmosphere is relaxing, perfect for sharing a lovely dinner. Thumps up!!! read more

Yum! This is a great place for some authentic Latin food at a great price. Nice atmosphere, not too loud and a nice comfortable setting. Everyone was so nice, from the people up front to the people who bring out the food. You have an option of adding a tip when you pay, do it. Everyone was seriously awesome and it sounded like the table next to us had some issues with the wrong food coming out and the staff kept checking up on them to make sure everything was okay. The sangria was also great. Glad we found this place! read more

Food was delicious. I had a Venezuelan cheese empanada and Patacón. Service was quick and friendly.

In the Orlando area (5/27) looking for a place for dinner away from the hustle & bustle of all the tourists. We found this place on Yelp & decided to check it out. When we first entered the restaurant we stood around for a minute trying to figure out if someone would greet us and show us to a table. Since no one greeted us we walked up to the bar area only to find out that you order there. You order & pay then they give you a number & you just take any available seat. There were no seats inside the restaurant so we sat out on the very sad patio. It's a huge patio that only had (4) tables? It felt so big and barren with no decorations or anything - very odd. We also think they forgot about us considering how long it took for them to come out and bring our drinks. The gap between the drinks and food also seemed to take forever. We ordered the Pollo a la Plancha and the Patacon. The chicken breast was a bit dry but the sides were good. The beef Patacon was delicious. All things considered we wouldn't go back based on this experience. The prices are extremely reasonable but not enough to make me seek this place out a second time. There are a myriad of restaurants to choose from so I will move onto the next one based on our 1st impressions. read more

Great empanadas! Roasted pork was good, although half of the serving was fat. Columbian burger looked good, but did not pass the test of my 7 year old daughter. read more

Food was ok. Unfortunately the water was very bad tasting. It was smelly too. Ok, it was disgusting. This ruined the dining experience for me. Seems like either they do not use filtered water or their water container need a serious cleaning. That is a serious no no for me. I like my water clean. Now I wonder if they use the same water for cooking. read more

Drove over 2 hours because we heard this restaurant was amazing and they would not honor a coupon from Restaurant.com. One of the employees actually told us that it was a scam. Everyone knows that Restaurant.com is a legit site. I have the feeling that they just did not want to lose money. What would have happened if I had wasted my $25 off coupon on their restaurant just for them to say they are not honoring it? Personally I think this place of business is stealing money from people who are paying to be able to get restaurant coupons then when we arrive they chose not to honor it in that way they keep our up front money and deny us service. I'm glad I had the wisdom to not input the code losing my money and giving them free money. I'm very disappointed. Oh and by the way every single restaurant in the area honored the coupon proving that this business is shady. Thank you for responding to me publicly and personally. Like I mentioned above I was highly upset that night because of the distance we had to travel and as a suggestion maybe in the future instead of turning hungry guests away, a more appropriate response that would allow you to keep new business is to either honor the coupon, or if it's not possible, offer an alternative like: "we're so sorry that we cannot honor that coupon, but please dine with us anyway, we'll gladly give you 10% off the meal...(or dessert is on us, etc.)". In that way you satisfy both needs; you honor your business obligations, and end up with a satisfied customer who will not only return, but will refer you to all their friends. As it stands, I more than likely would have spent over $150 that night after food, drinks, alcohol and dessert for my party of four who were all waiting in the car. Known as 'foodies' in our circles, we would have likely loved the food and recommended it to our hundreds of followers, who would have no doubt followed our recommendations and frequented your business. I too know much about business and have to constantly remind business owners when consulting them not to "cut off your nose to spite your face"... Why lose $150 with the potential for $1000s for the sake of $25? At least I appreciate the kind apology and *may* consider returning the next time I'm in Orlando. read more

Very unfortunately the services ruin my experience for us. It was not organized, They lost tickets , lying about how fresh the empanadas were . Food ok + but thy need to work in customer services read more
