We tried Sofrito twice in a short period, and the food was uniformly good, bordering on great, and sitting in the $9-15 range per person -- wow! Perhaps strongest on the Venezuelan side, but they are making a good faith effort at Peruvian, as well. Portions are generous, service really fast at the times we went, and the young guys running the show are a barrel of fun. The food is home-cooking style -- not at all fancy, just good, solid, and tasty. We would have gone back yet again on this trip, had time permitted. read more

Was our first time there and the food was excellent. Had the steak, the Yucca, rice and Puerto Rican red beans. Very flavorful and generous portions. Service was excellent. Would highly recommend. read more

Great Food! It is a casual place where you order from the counter and they bring it to you! Prices are good and portions are as well. Highly recommended read more

This gem was recommended by the front desk staff at our hotel, and within walking distance! The food is not frills, but everything I have had has been tasty. Our party went back twice in the week we were there just because of the quality and the convenience. read more

Excellent homemade Latin food! The empanadas were great! My husband loved the sour sop!

Stopped in for lunch. Food was ok. I had the roast pork with rice, sweet plantains, and fries. The pork wasn't hot all the way through it was like tepid. Rice was ok, I've had better at other Spanish cafes. Speed of service was a little off but I guess that's because it's a counter service and not a sit down style. I probably won't ever go back because it wasn't the best and it wasn't the worst I've had. If I had to choose between this and the Pizza Hut or Olive Garden next to it I probably would chose this place because it's not those two places. read more

I have been meaning to write this for months. I can still remember the meal! I found this place by accident when I couldn't find parking at the restaurant across the street, and so glad I did! Friendly service and recommendations. I had a variety of items including some empanadas, skirt steak, and coconut flan (a must have OMG!). All where cooked perfectly and very tasty, even though I was there late in the evening. It is definitely low key with paper plates and plastic utencils, but I didn't mind. The prices are extremely affordable and would be presumably much more if they had real plates and silverware--and it would be worth it. :) read more

The first time we came here the food was amazing, this time not so much. It's been a couple months so I'm not sure if they changed cooks but the chicken was dry. The main issue we had is that the meal only came with a quarter chicken , and we asked if we could get an extra quarter chicken for an up charge. The girl ringing the order said no we could not and that of we wanted extra chicken we would have to buy another entire meal for extra chicken, which we did . But guess what ? All good last time they get our money because we won't be going back . read more

Never written a review on Yelp before -- had to after eating here! A wonderful find in Orlando. A far cry from the chains and tourist spots, the food was outstanding and service was attentive and cheerful with helpful recommendations for us as newbies. Cheerfully welcomed us even though we entered at 8:50 -- not realizing they were closing at 9. Prices were very reasonable -- with generous portions as well. We tried soup, flank steak, and the Venezuelan national dish (can't remember the name). Empanadas were crisp and tasty (chicken and Nutella varieties). We're only in Orlando a week, but we hope to be back! Thank you! read more

Excellent food! I ordered the shrimp that came with rice, beans, and plantains. Generous portions. Super fast friendly service! Would totally recommend!! read more

Terrible service. Ordering food from this place is very confusing. Once entering, you order, pay, and then go find a seat. We ordered our food and was corrected on the way the plate was pronounced but of course they didn't even put it on the order. We were a party of 7 and the food took almost 30 minutes to start arriving to our table. One meal came out completely cold, while another of the same meal was hot, so we think that they held it while preparing another meal which goes against their shotgun style of dining. We spoke to a manager and he didn't even apologize about the terrible service and joked about seeing us again the next day. Biggest issue about this place is that everyone's meal comes out at different times so it's not a good place to eat a family meal. Some of us were completely done with out meals before others were even served their appetizers. This place needs a whole redo in service and attitude. We were at the mercy of their timing and service because they have you prepay, and pre-tip, before sitting. As for the food, the meats were delicious but the black beans had no flavor and rice was very generic. There's a ton of better places to go other than this place. Funniest thing is that the food taste like it has no Sofrito in it even though it's the restaurants name! read more

Headed out looking for good food and atmosphere. Sofrito exceeded expectations form the minute we entered. We were welcomed with a friendly greeting and looking at the menu were surprised at the authentic variety. We ended up over ordering because everything looked so good. As we ate there was a steady line for carry out. The menu and the decor was spot on. In a world of Disney Entertainment and quality food Sofrito offered excellence in service and quality of food while giving you a break from the over crowded Disney scene. Loved it and looking forward to coming back! read more

This has been such a pleasant surprise! Starting with the super well mannered, educated and kind staff to the AWESOME food! My family is Venezuelan, so we can talk about this food! The taste is super close to home and authentic, quality ingredients you can taste and varied menu. My kids ate tequeños, empanadas and my husband and I had arepas with meat and cheese. Truly delicious. Coffee like the one we used to have back in our country! And it doesn't stop here, natural juices with our local delicious fruits parchita, guayaba and mango! I wish them all the best and wish I lived here just to have breakfast every weekend :) As many Latinos, they work hard everyday and open early 7am and close late. Very clean and comfy space too! Loved it!! read more

A really great place to eat in the area. A hidden gem among the sea of chain restaurants in the area. Great food, well portioned, and great service. read more

Super delicious food. Awesome vibe. I suffered through Disneyworld, and this was the highlight of the trip. My kids ate good, and decent wine for decent price. Not easy to find food like this, wish this spot was where I lived read more

This place is a must try if you are in the area. It's in a great, easy to find location. The decor is very cool and well thought out. The staff is attentive and helpful. Most importantly--the food is incredible! We tried the veggie plate with a variety of sides, and a few of the small plates. Everything was great. Oh, and don't forget to grab a cup of coffee-it's some of the best anywhere! read more

This has to be a hidden secret. The food is soo good. Really mixture of Cuban, and Venezuelan offerings. The plantains were perfect, the chicken was just right. Not a single crumb of Nutella churro was left. No real table service, and the drop ceiling needs to be changed. No reason to eat at the Disney resorts if you like Latin food. read more

The Churrasco is cooked perfectly and the Tostones is the best I've had in FL. I've eaten here more than once and have tried something new every time. Everything on the menu is BOMB! read more

Again, I found this gem on yelp and it did not disappoint. I went there for lunch and got the Churrasco. It came with a side salad (yummy) and I got the fried yucca, yellow rice, and sweet plantains. The chimichurri sauce is one of the best I've ever had and the sides were awesome as well. This meal was so good that I came back the next day and had dinner there. Usually I like to check out other restaurant while on vacation but I had to go back and get some more of this food. I was contemplating getting something different the second time around but couldn't help but getting the same dish and sides. I'd recommend this to anyone. Lastly, the customer service was great...I had switched up my order and the staff came back a couple times to make sure my order was exactly how I wanted. Great, courteous staff. read more

Sofrito's has a really cool open concept when you walk in. You get the menu upfront and pay at the register; then sit to wait. The food is a great mix of Spanish food from all over. My favorite were the Colombian empanadas. My main meal was the roast pork with yellow rice and sweet plantain and it was a huge portion! All good. Only downside was we had to continue to get up to order more beers since they don't take orders table side. read more

Oh my goodness! Their roasted pork is AMAZING! The price is great too, $9 for roast pork, 3 sides and salad. It's a plateful, so delicious. The Team was friendly and the restaurant is so very pretty inside, as well as clean. My 11 year-old wants you to know the white rice is great as well. read more

We had the Cuban sandwich, and empanadas. I thought the cuban sandwich was alright, but the variety of empanadas were definitely the most memorable! read more

Always a great experience and delicious food every time we come. I tell friends, family, and even tourists to come here to get away from them park food and get better food at a great price. Needed to cut away from the Disney food and looking for something special. FOUND IT. We are always looking for good food and good service. This place is GREAT on both fronts. Amazing dishes and the entire staff was exceptional! If you go for breakfast or brunch get the Cuban avocado toast and add an egg (over medium). Really y'all... the food is outstanding! read more

Fast service food was great and good environment. Would definitely go again. Good price for great food quality.

Absolutely amazing food and service. The decor is wonderful - I felt like I was in a hip NYC spot. Food was great and the white garlic sauce is UNREAL! Service was amazing, answered all my questions efficiently and helped explain all the options. Will be back ASAP! read more

Are here for dinner, as recommended by reviews. Flavorless and touristy food which is overpriced. What a shame! Rice, beans were lacking any spices. Fried snapper was overdone and flavorless. Chicken a laplancha left a lot to be desired. read more

Excellent Latin food at a very reasonable price. Unfortunately they were out of the Pabellon so we went with the roast pork and the churassco. We were not disappointed. The roast pork was moist and flavorful and the skirt steak was very tender. The black beans could've used a little more flavor, but they didn't disappoint. Can't wait to go back. read more
