I was looking to go out to dinner after being in a conference all day, and some others were raving about this place. Since I was in town for a brief amount of time, I decided to go. Sofrito did not let me down. The beers on tap were all local in Florida. I ended up getting the Venezuelan Empanadas, Pandebono, and the Roast Pork with 3 sides: yellow rice, tostones, and yucca. The only thing I would change to my order was the yellow rice as a side. Since I went with a group of people, we tried each other's food, and let me say that there wasn't one single thing I didn't like. I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

We were here for the holiday and happened to be googling a Cuban restaurant that would be open on Christmas Day. I am so glad everything was closed and Sofrito was open. I am sad that we came on our last night of our trip but now we have our Cuban fix when we come down every year. First, we were greeted by the two managers who were so attentive to our needs. We ordered first. We ordered the Spanish version of mozerella sticks to die for. We also ordered Cuban beef empanadas and Venezuelan cheese empanadas-they were the best empanadas I've ever eaten. The garlic oil sauce was exceptionally delicious. For our entrees we ordered churrasco (I ordered medium-came out medium rare) but it was still good. The Churrasco size was a bit small for $16 but it came with 3 sides. We also ordered the media noche sandwich and they got it right-no pickle, no mustard. The yucca fries-I would recommend not to put the chimichurro sauce on top of the fried yucca and churrasco. If I had known this I would have asked for it to be on the side. My son raved about the kids cheeseburger (it even came on a sesame seed bun like MCD). We were eating all his fries because they were hot and so crispy. My daughter had the pollo a la plancha and it came with 2 big pieces of chicken (she ordered an adult meal). The best part of our meal was dessert. The vanilla flan (we ordered 4 and ordered an additional 2) were the best we have ever eaten. You can tell the owner as the manager was telling us takes great pride on finding recipes and caring about the quality of the food. And last but not least the churros drizzled with caramel and Nutella was the tip of the iceberg. I have no words for this-it was out of this world-better than the ones I've eaten in Barcelona. We will be back and come everyday in our trip next time. Thank you for being open on December 25. This business will flourish because of the quality of food, price point, and the team they have in place. Thank you. Don't forget to use the $5 off $30 meal. I absolutely know if I had told the managers about the yucca Frita and churrasco, they would have brought us some without the sauce on them. They got super busy and I decided not to bother them. read more

We were at a conference at the Marriott world center hotel and Sofrito had great reviews. The sandwiches were excellent. I had Tripleto, which had great flavor. If you are in the area of Disney Springs, then it is cheaper option with better food. read more

I came here with my fiancee. We waited about 30 Minutes for our food. We got churrasco and the pernil. The food was great, portions were fair as were the prices. While we didn't personally experience the service issues that other reviewers had mentioned it did occur on more than one occasion to other patrons while we were there. The food is worth coming but I be aware of the wait/service. They also ask for a tip upfront. I would wait until your meal is over. read more

This is by far the most interesting Latin restaurant I've been to in my 25 years of visiting orlando...let me start by saying it's in the tourist section and a stones throw from Disney so prices reflect this...I ordered a Tripleta and it was VERY good and it was a great price as well...now the reason I only give it 4 stars instead of 5 is the ordering system in place you pay BEFORE you eat...now thank god I came in before a rush but as I sit here now I can see a problem with this system in a tourist spot...but I would definitely be back here the food was excellent. read more

This place was great, the food was full of flavor and very authentic. Empanadas were delicious and the cuban sandwich was incredible. Overtime that we go back to Orlando we will definitely stop by. read more

Good food selection and nice, relaxed atmosphere. The staff is friendly and offers decent table service for being a "take a number and we'll bring it to you" place. Good beer options. The mini tequenos, empanadas, and kale salad were tasty. read more

Best cuban food and coffee! It's so much food that my 13 year old man child couldn't finish the ham and cheese omelette. We are coming back again soon it was so good! read more

Pretty good overall. We had take-out and it was decent. The Cuban sandwhich was very good, and the white rice and vanilla flan were both great. The yellow rice was dried out and crunchy, so that was a miss, and the container the beans were in leaked out all over everything, so that wasn't great. The chicken was also good, though a little dry. Overall, it was good and I'd go again. read more

Great food and excellent customer service! Highly recommend their steak and potato balls

This is my new go to Latin place near Seaworld. I love it is semi self serve and alot of room between tables. Trendy cool place.

The food was good, just not as packed with flavor as I expected or would have liked. I will go back to try more, though. Rice was on the bland side, but the empanadas and plantains were yummy. Chicken was a tad dry, but maybe it was an off day. Everything on the menu looks good, so it enticed me to return. read more

I'm new to town and this is the most flavorful and reasonably priced food I've found so far. Plus the people that run the place are nice. The reason they don't get five stars in my book is because they are stingy with their sauces and the menu sells out frequently. Good problems to have. read more

Excellent meal! Portions were huge and prices were great, especially after a week at Disney. We had the roast pork, both styles of plantains, and an assortment of empanadas read more

This place used to be good, but now the service is really bad, the options on the menu for breakfast are really short, it looks like they sell all the leftovers. I asked if there is another owner, but surprisingly it is still the same one. Instead of improving it is getting worse. read more

Came here because I'm staying in the hotel across the street. Food was amazing! The wine was great too. Took a piece of chocolate cake togo. The yucca was awesome. The friend plantains we're delicious. Try the chicken soup! I will be back for sure! read more

Great food. Had the Churrasco with black beans, potatoes and sweet plantains. Loved the plantains. Finished off with coconut flan which was great. Not a lot of food but very well done and just the right amount to not over stuff. Good, nice service as well. I'll come back for more! read more

Worst service ever. I ordered my steak well done and I received it medium rare. How do you confuse the two????? I specifically said it was my first time so maybe that should of been a heads up on making a first impression. Waited a whole hour for the food and it wasn't even busy. Do not recommend it to anyone. I asked for my money back 3 times and the "manager" said flat out no and insisted on bringing a new plate. When the new plate was brought the steak (churrasco) had zero flavor. It was the worst churrasco I ever had. Stay away!!!!!!!! read more

Loved the food! I ordered the lomo saltado and media noche sandwich. The saltado was full of flavor. The wait staff was great.

The food was amazing! Service was average. I wish they would've been more attentive to us as guest read more

Sofrito Latin Cafe - Latin American Near Me - Orlando, Florida

One of the best Latin meals ever. The croquettes with the sauce, JUST AMAZING!!!! I got the ribeye special . It was incredible full of flavor cooked perfectly, entirely meal was just fantastic. First time here, host was very helpful and exceptionally nice to us. Our new favorite food spot when we are in town. Best meal I have had in a very long time, read more

This place is clearly overrated, my wife ordered chicken with rice and beans, the chicken was not well cook and the portion of the rice and beans was alot smaller than we anticipated. I ordered 4 colombian meat empanadas, they were also not fully cooked and lack the spicy salsa that makes these empanadas delicious in any Colombian restaurant. The delivery was supposed to be between 35-45 minutes, and it took almost 1 hour and 30 minutes, so our food was delivered cold. read more

This was the best latina argentine flat steak i have had in awhile... the seasoning was great, and the service was so fast! Prices were reasonable as well. Will definitely eat there again! read more

I love this place! It was my first time visiting this place & I loved everything about it!! The food is delicious! I had the "media noche" sandwich and it's pure deliciousness! The staff there are all very friendly! I had no complaints whatsoever! We literally visited this place for the last week we were there like every morning! Lol. Definitely recommend this place! read more

Why are they not serving you at the table???? This place needs to hire some servers and be a real table serving restaurant. It took FOREVER to get the food. You hear me smalls? FOREVER..... Everyone in our party got food at different times. Their only saving grace was that the food was actually good. Sofrito get your act together. I was really looking forward to our visit and it was very underwhelming. read more

Discovered this amazing cafe a few weeks ago and have been back four more times . Amazing food! Don't be fooled by the location . It is not an Orlando tourist trap . Authentic Latin food . Comfortable atmosphere ! The best Cuban sandwich you have ever had as well as the rice and beans and everything else ! You will not be disappointed!!! read more

I ordered the Patacón and café con leche = amazing! For dessert I had the Nutella empanada, which was delicious. The empanada was warm when they served it and paired well with coffee. There are many options, including vegetarian dishes. You must visit this place if you are visiting Orlando. read more

This place is phenomenal!!! The food is absolutely delicious and the prices are very reasonable. We ordered the Papa Rellena & Mini Tequeños as appetizers. Both delicious! We both had the Churrasco which was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing! The sweet plantains were excellent, the yucca was great too! The food was so good we had breakfast from there this morning. LOL. read more

Great place close to our hotel. Our family of five ordered a variety of items and were all tasty. Only complaint was not all side items were available but I think this was due to freshly made items daily which in long run may be a good thing. Highly recommended affordable eatery. read more

Churrasco was delicious but salty. Service was so so. I wouldn't go back with so many better choices nearby

Horrible customer service, food wasn't even that great, my friends and I weren't acknowledged after our orders were put in, oh and did I mention the food was horrible? Would not recommend it to anyone... read more

Food is good but always come out wrong. Soda fountain is often not well calibrated. Service is poor. The restaurant is ran by a young crowd that tend to chit chat a lot instead of ensuring a good customer experience. Great vibe and food. More employee training needed and better customer experience. Give it a shot. read more

I wanted to have some local Cuban/Latin food while in FL with the family and this place hit the spot. It was local not another chain. Food was great i got the cuban chicken. Daughter loved the rice and beans The nutella empanada and churros were a great idea we got them to go. Wifey and kids loved the place. It was fast casual so the prices were resonable. I also was able to get a nive cragt IPA they had on draft. Highly recommend you support this place. read more

The cachapa was outstanding. I ordered with the pork. Couldn't get it in my mouth fast enough. If I had any room left I would have ordered another. read more

This place was the absolute highlight for our trip to Florida (and we went to Disney) The food was just outstanding. We were a party of 7 and we each got different food and everyone truly enjoyed their food. It was my daughter's birthday and they ran out of candles to sing to her, so they went next door to purchase birthday candles for her. Great customer service and if there is a slight wait for the food, it is so worth it! read more

Love this place. Found it this past summer and we happened to be staying a mile away in February when back for a gymnastics meet. Will be back again!! read more

The food was fabulous but so was the service. I will definitely come back and try something different

Visiting Disney I followed yelps recommendations and found this very nice cafe. My kids loved right away because of the collection of board games. But their food is really nice. Rotisserie chicken has great Peruvian seasoning. Wonderful plantains. I also got the triplets which was so good we ordered one to go. Desserts are small for the price but after eating their meals, there is barely any room for it anyways. Recommended for great food, great people and great atmosphere. read more

The only reason I gave 5 stars is because 6 stars wasn't an option. Absolutely AMAZING food! Make sure you try this restaurant if you want some authentic Latin food and are in Orlando! read more

I was not impressed. Visited a family friend in Orlando and she recommended ordering from this restaurant. Really liked the menu and was quite excited especially when we arrived to pick up our take out. Location is great plus I really love the decor. When we arrived and began to eat, everyone had a compliant. Food was soooo salty I couldn't even continue to eat. I ordered the shrimp. My poor husband was extremely disappointed with the lomo saltado (his favorite dish). He claims was very salty and rice was hard. That will be our last visit. read more
