Wow me and my wife were at the PMA conference and looked up for breakfast we had a great experience, café con Leche was the best. The prices are very reasonable and the food is excellent. I would highly recommend this place. Great atmosphere, great service if they had a place like this in San Diego California I would be awesome. read more

Great place, great flavor, sofrito and sazón, I tried 4 different plates the were all amazing. Gracias!

I like the esthetics of the Resturaunt. It's hipster meet Latin flare has me hoping it will be a great experience. Some suggestions I would make to help make is have the staff be more proactive in clearing tables. My soup tasted sour and at the end a server came by and gave us yummy Colombian and Venezuelan empanadas to make up for it. They were delicious when I did get to eat them! read more

My pan-fried red snapper was just okay. Nothing special. The sides yellow rice and sweet plantains were great. My son loves the Cuban sandwich he ordered. But the sandwich didn't come with any side dish. The Columbian burger also tasted great. Skip the fries, nothing special with the fries. Roast pork meal was ok. Finished the meal with vanilla flan and coconut flan dessert. read more

Please understand they actually cook your food to order so it will be a 20-40 min wait. But it's worth it. They have samplings from all of Latin America and an abundance of choices. I highly recommend read more

Visited here from out of town. They were SLAMMED! I wanted to help them out but it seems there was a method to the madness. My wife had the Lomo saltado (steak strips, fries, rice and onions/peppers/tomatoes) She said it was great. I had the Venezuelan "cachitos" and cheese "tequeños". Other than the understandable wait times, this was an awesome experience. Food is legit and delicious ! read more

In town for Disney and stopped here for lunch based on the location and reviews. Completely blown away with how great everything was. I highly recommend Sofrito. read more

Wow. I am so glad I came to Sofrito while I was in town for business. I'm returning to Orlando in December and already can't wait to eat here again. I had a pork cachapa and it was fantastic. For anyone interested in trying this (a) you absolutely should and (b) you should share it because it's HUGE. The corn cachapa is sweet and delicious. The cheese inside is gooey and amazing. The pork was tender and nicely brought the dish together. I was really indecisive and love Latin food, so I also had the sweet plantains and churros. Both were also well executed - but I can't stop thinking about the cachapa. **Update: I've been back 2 times since my original review, taking people with me each time. Sangria, empanadas and tostones have all been added to the two thumbs up list as well ** read more

Literally don't have enough words for how good this place is. First, the churasco (spelling?) was so so so so good. Cooked to order with three, yes three sides of your choice AND a small side salad for $16. How do you beat that? I got that with black beans, excellent; yellow rice, great and plantains, also great. I'm fairly big guy with a huge appetite. I almost got two. Not because the portion was small-because it wasn't, but because it was so good. My girlfriend ordered all the empanadas, because she knew I'd steal a little of each. All of them were excellent. Forget value for a moment, even thought the prices were really good; but for the well balanced flavors alone this place is five stars. The menu is an appropriate size even though several cultures were represented. Too much more and I feel quality would have began suffer after too many additions to the menu. Over all they really maximized every facet to benefit the pockets and palates of the customer. I wish every place was was as good as this. read more

Excellent food and awesome service. Tasty food for all types of diets and restrictions.

What a surprising hidden treasure! Food was awesome with authentic flavors and great taste. We ordered the sampler appetizer and shrimp meal everything was so delicious. Warning - we took two boxes home we didn't realize the sampler portions could feed an army! Very affordable prices and the lay back atmosphere also a plus. Will definitely be coming here again! read more

I had the skirt steak with yellow rice, black beans and plantain. The steak was over cooked but everything else was truly amazing! Plantain was fried perfectly! Just the way I like it. After telling them after not really eating the steak I asked if I could have a empanada, which was pretty good. read more

Got the Cuban sub it was great, tostonas are very good also. Staff was very nice and helpful. The only thing I didn't like is that you had to order upfront and pay and then sit down, I would rather have ordered my food from the table and paid after my meal, but it wasn't that big of a deal. Will definitely go back. read more

Had a perfect experience here. The food was amazing. The best sweet plantains I've ever experienced and the papa criolla had the best sauce. Beyond the food, the customer service was above and beyond. Both staff were very attentive and one even shook my hand on the way out to ensure I enjoyed my meal and had a great day. Had the opportunity to revisit this restaurant and I must admit it was a night and day difference between my last visit. The staff was excellent and friendly (especially John). I ordered the same items from last time, and this visit it was outstanding! The roast pork was flavorful and moist, the sweet plantains were cooked to perfection, and the tostones too. It is only fair to re-review this restaurant, as my prior experience was an isolated "one off". I actually enjoyed my experience, along with my guests, so much that if asked the question, "would you go back?" I would answer "defiantly"! I recommend giving Sofrito Latin Cafe a visit, you will be glad you did. read more

Great Yelp find while in the Lake Buena Vista area. I wanted something different within walking distance of the hotels. Sofrito's nailed it! Flavorful and balanced - the meals w/ 3 sides are the perfect combo. Chicken, Yellow rice, Papa Criolla (small potatos), and nicely sweet and fried bananas were just the ticket. Note that you order at the counter and they bring the food to you. I washed it down with a Hopsecutioner IPA that lived up to the name. Would've given 5 stars, but the chicken was a bit overdone (but I still cleaned the bones) - mildly disappointing because there were very few customers when I got there (a bit late). Definitely hit this joint. read more

We got the beef and chicken empanadas. The beef one was perfection sooo good. The chicken empanada was kind of dry. I got chicken and it was flavored ok but dry as well. The sides were good we got yellow rice, plantains (my fav one), and black beans. My husband got the skirt steak which was amazing. Overall the food was good but the service was lacking a bit we waited 45+ mins for our food. We would give it another shot and just stick to beef and hope for better service. They did attempt to fix their mistake when they realized how long it took to get us our food and gave us a free app. But again we'd def give them another shot because most of the food was great. read more

It was worth the walk from our hotel.... Ordering was a bit strange, but the food was amazing and the ambiance was great. Desserts, eh. Not anywhere near as generous as the dinner portion and was expecting so much more after the great meal. read more

Only had the delivery as we were staying accidentally in Orlando for one night. Cuban pork was delicious and very inexpensive.

Waoooo amazing! This people manage to make this latin delicious food taste healthy! It doesn't feel or taste heavy at all! Antonella was our host/ server and she was the bomb! Lol super sweet, professional, patient (it was our first time, millions of questions sorry) and so knowledgeable and helpful, everyone was so kind and warm, it was a wonderful experience on our vacations, thank you for all the team at this place, good job guys! No 6th star? Imagine a restaurant that continues to improve with time, and you'll have Sofrito. We were back in Orlando, this time for the D1 Women's Soccer Championship games at City Stadium. We left the 2nd semi-final game at half-time to make it to the restaurant for dinner. Nobody was disappointed with the decision to leave early even when we later discovered that the game had been decided by PKs. Media Noche still the favorite (we had to buy a cooler just to take some on the road with us). We will be back. read more

The food was good! It's a little bit of everything Latin. We're visiting from PA and really enjoyed the food. The only thing I wish they would change is making people stand in line to order before sitting. Otherwise the staff was pleasant and overall a good experience. read more

I ordered the Cuban roasted pork plate, the pork a huge disappointment and shame to cook meat so tenderly and douse it with the whole salt jar.The salt overwhelmed any taste. In short, the amount of salt was gross. The star rating comes from great fried plantains and Puerto Rico red beans. My daughter empanada was also good. Service started out attentive but they didn't rely the message of the order correctly to the kitchen as I requested no dairy products on my plate. read more

For me, this Spanish restaurant was okay. I ordered the chicken noodle soup but, there was barely any chicken and no noodles just mainly broth. The pork was on the salty side and the chairs were very uncomfortable. The fried yucca was good and the sweet plantains. Service was okay. read more

Great Service and yummy food! Tripleta Sadwich is a must try!

This is our second time visiting this restaurant and have loved it each time!! The food is delicious and the location is beautiful! (For some reason my initial review was incomplete!) This place is great! Good food for a reasonable price. My wife is Latin so I've tried tons of good home cooked meals. It didn't disappoint.
