This place was one of the best place I ate at while visiting Orlando. I personally favor Venezuelan food and it was delicious here. The employees there were all very welcoming there from the time we stepped in the restaurant. read more

Sofrito Latin Cafe - Haaaaa......Sooooo good - Latin American Near Me - Orlando, Florida

This was the most awesome restaurant. The pork was amazing along with the yuca and black beans. The staff was extremely friendly as well as the manager and chef. Will definitely be back when I return to Florida. read more

My friends and I arrived here around 9:30pm on Friday, the 8th. Pick up a menu, put in your order, then they give you a number and brings your order to the table. The staff was very friendly and the food was soooo good! The ambiance is trendy, but has a warm and cozy feeling to it. I also thought that having the origin of the dish was a nice touch. We can't wait to go back again! read more

Ordered a Cobb salad to go and when I opened the container the salad was missing most of the ingredients and the avocado was brown and old. So basically I had lettuce with Ham and cheese...not at all what was advertised or what I wanted. read more

The food was immaculate, and came out pretty quickly for a busy holiday (Mother's Day). The service was great and the front desk was very thorough and helpful while ordering food read more

Awesome concept! Look at the menu, order at the counter and have a seat. The food was amazing! I ordered the Churrasco steak with white rice, red beans, and fried plantains. The Chimmi-churri on top of the steak was sooooo good! My wife had the roasted pork, with yellow rice and beans, and some fried Plaintain's as well. My daughter ordered the chicken soup with a side of rice and beans. I have to say although my cooking is very good, this food was much better than my own. The atmosphere was great, the staff was attentive and very explanatory of all the types of food, and it was away from all the hustle and bustle from the downtown Disney area where prices are so high. I don't think I saw anything on the menu that was more than $15.99. We also ordered a couple appetizers, a few empanadas and a Relleno de Papa and those were awesome as well. Come give this restaurant some of your time, and you will leave super satisfied! Five out of five stars for sure! read more

The food was absolutely delicious and great portions. We order while visiting Orlando and it was ordered with door dash so the food was a bit cold but I believe the food would have been perfect if we ordered in the restaurant. The meat was tender and juicy and everything was flavorful. I hope to come back to Orlando to be able to dine in the restaurant. read more

Great food and atmosphere! Love the fact that my furry son was allowed to dine with us! read more

I can't understand how any of these reviews could be legit. I had a terrible experience. I ordered the ham and cheese sandwhich, no flavor. Food was ALL cold, they forgot one of our sandwiches and we had to wait another 20 minutes. I hate to be annoying but even this added in to my irritation- The mugs they serve the coffee in has a tight little hole that makes it impossible to hold the hot mug. Nothing made sense!! Lol I'm so annoyed i wasted money here. read more

I never write reviews but I had to for this place. My family and I went here after reading the reviews. Frankly speaking, I'm shocked that this place has great reviews considering that the food is awful. Sofrito serves the worst Latin food I've ever had in my life and trust me, Latin food is my favorite. The food was served cold and is far from authentic. We ordered few different items and each item was a disappointment. But the lomo Saltado was the most disgusting dish. It was cold, lacked flavor, and had a terrible stench. I simply couldn't take more than one bite. Now let's talk about the service. I was confused with the way they take orders and sit people down. But it's not that big of a deal so I'll look past it. The annoying part was that the server brought our tres leches within five minutes of us sitting down! We didn't even get our food and I had to ask her to take it back. She was not amused but I have a question: who serves dessert before the actual food!? I also ordered churros and that never came out. When I asked for it, the server said she'll bring it soon....except, she never did! She disappeared and I left after waiting for a while. Such a shame. Anyway, the tres leches was gross too, save your money! I am from NYC and I could give a long list of places that serve mouth watering Latin food. I'd avoid Sofrito and spend my money elsewhere. This place should reconsider the way it operates and should probably hire a new chef who actually knows how to cook authentic Latin food. read more

LOVED IT. Great food. Great service. Would eat here everyday. Unfortunately this review was done after I left the restaurant and was yelp savvy. Sorry no pics. But go here. You'll love it. read more

Wow! Was that good. Look no further - if looking for a breakfast before hitting the parks. Close by, moderate prices, and amazing food! We shared the Guava & Nutella Waffles and Omelette de Jamon y Queso, both Sofrito specials, that were incredible! We will definitely come back during our next trip to Disney. read more

I cant say enough good things about Sofritos. Had dinner there last night and it was fantastic! The staff was great as well!

We needed a break from resort food. So, we gave Sofrito Latin Cafe a try. It did not disappoint! The food was a.m.a.z.i.n.g.! We had the churrasco, pernil and camarones de a la parilla. Sides included tostones, rice, beans and maduros. Everything was seasoned perfectly. Portions were appropriate. We loved how the menu spanned a few Spanish cultures (i.e. Puerto Rico, Cuba, Argentina). Service was good overall. The ambiance is casual and the price was more than fair. We paid $54 for 4 entrees. We will be back!!!! Love this spot! read more

Wow! The chimichurri is perfection. They put it over the chicken and fried yucca and I ate it all. The sangria is righteous as well. Next time I'm here I'll be back! read more

So good! Delicious, home cooked style food. They have dishes from all over South America. Go try it out--you will not be disappointed. The roast pork is only $9 and it comes with 3 sides. The churrasco is $16, but very tasty as well. read more

FirsT time eating at this restaurant, was confused and disappointed at the fact that you had to order your food prior to sitting down and also at the fact that they were asking for a tip on the order screen when no one sat nor waited on us. We paid for water before finding out that water is freely available at bar stand. Food was not to good. No flavor was bland! My rice was under cooked. read more

I live near here and wanted to try something new. I'm vegetarian so I was very happy to see vegetarian options on their menu. I spent about $20 and ordered takeout. Got friend plantains, pandebono, Argentinian spinach and cheese empanada, arepa queso de mano and a vanilla flan. For the price, very happy with my food. I am sort of disappointed in the empanada and arepa. Empanada was just very plain tasting, though had more flavor than the arepa, no flavor there. This is maybe just for the vegetarian options, maybe the meat has more flavor? Loved the pandebono, plantains and flan! There was a couple other things on the menu I had wanted to try... So hopefully this will get an update. Would dine in next time, it looked very chill. read more

Need to be careful. They will forget your food and then tell you the next time you order they will add what you missed. Well 2 times is the charm. They had to bring it to me. Sorry not sorry. Good food. But they don't look at the orders. read more

This place is great! We came at an off hour (around 5pm) so it wasn't crowded. They have a very nice patio that allows dogs and is shaded/keeps the rain out. We tried all the empanadas, they are delicious! And, we got the roasted pork dish - it was amazing! Can't get any better then a bunch of tasty braised pork, 3 sides (tostones & platanos, rice) and a small salad for $9! We would definitely come back here! Inside also looks inviting and they were setting up for live music. read more

Thank you for coming to a group of starving tourists' rescue! I saw your restaurant as we were driving to Disney Springs (as it was recommended to eat there) and made a quick turn around as parking was nonexistent! Although your establishment was also quite busy, the food and hospitality was fabulous! We'll always remember the kind courtesy and smiles of your staff and tasty food of the various entrées that were savored! As Californians with well-seasoned global palates, the experience at Sofrito Latin Cafe exceeded our expectations! We are forever grateful and will return when our travels take us back to Orlando! read more

This is my new favorite restaurant! Every single item I've ordered from here has been AMAZING! Excellent quality and huge portions for the price. Also, as someone who has to eat gluten free I love that they have everything labeled and have a huge variety of safe options for me. My son's chicken kids meal was HUGE! Definitely recommend this place to grab anything from a wick snack to a full family meal. read more

Great food, service was quick, the hostess and waiters were very polite, the food was truly delicious. Highly recommend

We waited a long time for our food. We enjoyed the food here until a roach ran across the table and onto my plate. Then one of the waiters ran over and stomped on it. They blamed it on the rain and then just left us be. I understand that rain can cause roaches to come inside but I expect a manager to atleast come over and apologize. Up until this happened though, we were having a decent time. read more

We had spent the day walking the trails in Weikia State Park and driving back to the South Orlando/Disney area we were looking online for a nice place to eat. All of the good places to eat that weren't chains were 30-35 minutes from the hotel. With a 2 month old, we really didn't want to spend more drive time to get there. When we arrived at hotel, I looked on yelp and discovered Sofritos Latin Cafe and its 4 1/2 star rating. The pictures looked great and we decided to go...only 2.5 miles from hotel! The braised pork was excellent and came with 3 great sides and house salad. My wife had the Cuban with the baby potatoes and was excellent. My son had the Salmon which he also said was very flavorful. The vegetable medley mixture he said was cooked just right... nice crunch to the veggies not overdone. The only unexpected thing ...it was an order at the counter place...but don't let that fool you. All food was delivered to your table along with wine and beer.( You will take your own silverware and dispense your own soft drinks) The food was every bit as good or better than most sit down restaurants. Whenever you get tired of the same old burger, chicken, steak places and are looking for new taste sensations, Sofritos should be at the top of the list. BTW they have a regular kids menu with burgers, chic strips, etc. since that age may not be as adventuresome. Don't forget to take some of the churros, Nutella empanada and flan back to the hotel with you. read more

We were staying at DisneyWorld Resort and UberEats delivered!! It was all very delicious!! Very authentic!! The driver not sure if he was with the restaurant but he was very nice and punctual!! We had the charrusco and two different empanadas, yucca fries, arroz con habichuelas, plantains and a cubano sandwich. Very pleased. read more

Fantastic. Best food I've had in my entire vacation. Definitely coming back tomorrow!

My husband and two friends came here for dinner. My husbands churrasco was extremely salty. My friend ordered the croquettes and I can tell they were the frozen ones from the store. The plaintains were almost inedible. The best dish from this place was the roast pork with the sweet plantains. read more

Bad quality food. So much salt. We waited for utensils over 5 minutes after we got the food. I never come back here. I don't recommend to anybody. read more

This place is amazing. Every single thing we ordered was amazing. Cachapas and arepas are amazing! You will not be disappointed.

Love this place. My kids love the choices and the freshness of the food. The portions are quite large. We always take food home. The nonalcoholic drinks are great. We have recommended this restaurant to our Brazilian friends and they stop here every time they come to Orlando. read more

Lomo Saltado is outstanding. The beef and rice so flavorful. Coconut flan and TresLeches, so tasty. Just enough of portion, I could've eaten so many more Slightly have issue with the ordering process. Order up front then food comes out to you. Great if it's a sandwich shop but not dinners like this. Took Cuban to go w Yucca Frita. The yucca was so tasty w dipping sauce. Worst Cuban. All fat, no pork. Wasn't smooched w panini press. read more

The food here was okay. I ordered the roast pork with yellow rice, black beans, and french fries. My wife got the same. We also got a beef Venezuelan empanada and a chicken Cuban empanada. Overall everything was okay I felt it could have been better. The roast pork didn't same be seasoned enough. It had a bland taste to it. The rice, beans, and fries we're all pretty good. As far as the empanadas, with the Venezuelan I didn't really know what to expect because I had never had one before. It was okay but it left me desiring more to it. The dough had a more sweet taste to it then your average cuban empanada. The shredded beef was a little under seasoned, and I felt that there could have been more put into it. The cuban empanada I was not a fan of, I've had better cuban empanadas at other establishments. The shredded chicken was dry and really didn't have a lot of flavor. The dough was a little on the hard side maybe it was overcooked. read more

I was really looking forward to eating here while on vacation. My husband and I ordered to go. Since I didn't want to mispronounce anything, I pointed at everything on the menu. Multiple times even to make sure she was getting the right item. Turns out that didn't help with the language barrier between myself and the cashier. She still had trouble understanding everything which in turn ended up with me getting the wrong food. I ordered an arepa, but somehow got it in a deconstructed entree form instead. Unfortunately for me I didn't realize this until after we got back to our hotel and it was too far to go back to get the right thing. My husband seemed to have liked his food, but I didn't eat since it's not what I ordered and wanted. read more

We had lunch at Sofritos. The food was delicious! My daughter had a mango smoothie which she said was very good. They have a lot of gluten free options which was nice. I forgot to ask if they fry wheat items with their gluten free items (ex: plantains). So I am not sure about cross contamination for fried items? For Celiac folks, you may want to check with management. We would definitely eat here again! read more
