Just like a lot of others, Softrito's was extremely close to our hotel and after a long day at Disney we decided to try it out for a quick meal. We honestly didn't know what to expect because neither of us had ever eaten real Latin food before, but it was WELL worth it! We decided to get a variety of things just to try (and just in case we didn't like something). We got: Cachito ham, Venezuelan Empanada, Argentinian Empanada, and Mango juice. Every single thing we tried was amazing and we both were craving mango juice the second we got home - which we still can't find juice as fresh as that was. All in all, if you need a quick place to eat and have delicious food - I recommend it! If we lived in Orlando I know we'd definitely return. We tell all of our friends who head down to Florida to check it out if they have a chance!! PS we had to try the Cuban coffee too, and it didn't disappoint :) read more

Awesome little nook for great sandwich and coffee The Good: Happy faces good food great prices. Loved their latte and their team was more than happy to accommodate our huge group of 19 guests and children with allergies. The Bad: none The Ugly: none My 2 cents~ good place for breakfast and brunch but make sure you come early this place fills in fast . read more

Sofrito Latin Cafe - Latin American Near Me - Orlando, Florida

Great value for good food. We were a party of 7. Most of us ordered churasco (grilled skirt steak) with shrimp. The chimichurri sauce was really good. Steak and shrimp were cooked well. The beans were really good and so were the plaintains. Thought margarita was a little weak so switched to red sangria which was good. read more

This restaurant is amazing! It does not disappoint in any way. The food is to die for starting from the cuban & Colombian empanadas to the camarones al ajillo. I wish that the empanadas would have come in pairs but it was only 1 per plate. Do not leave the restaurant without trying the coconut flan!! You will thank me later. I thought that I had died and gone to heaven after I ate it. We also tried the caramel flan after that and it did not disappoint. A real gem & must visit! read more

Sofrito Latin Cafe - Camarones al Ajillo - Latin American Near Me - Orlando, Florida

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this latin cafe. Im from NY and i came here because it was close to my hotel. I was so amazed about how down to earth the place was and so trendy. The menus are on a wooden chalk board and you order up front at the register. They sell food from all over the latin world such as Cuba, puerto rico, Colombia, and Venezuela. My boyfriend and I ordered the churrasco which is so amazing. It was affordable, tasty and came with 3 sides. The sides we got yellow rice, red beans, and sweet platanos. We also ordered the red sangria which was amazing. They also have a community bookstore which has board games and books. They give out free bumper stickers for your car which was so cool. Overall, i was extremely happy with my experience here. I highly recommend it!!!!! read more

Bummed it didn't live up to 4.5 rating! We were hungry and craving Latin food! Food - Mediocre at best. They had limited things available when we came in (out of empanadas, churrasco) at 7pm. Rice (which is the easiest thing to make) was not fresh and the meat needed more seasoning... Not authentic to the dishes they were serving. Service - while the waiters who brought our food originally were very pleasant, no one came back to check on us after. Not even to see if we needed more water. Venue - the restaurant is very cute. The tables a bit small which became evident once the food came and you couldn't fit most of it on there. read more

Everything was good. Started with a craft beer. For dinner we got the roast pork and the vegetarian main. The vegetarian dish was squash, peppers and onions seasoned and sauteed, was decent though not mind blowing. The roast pork was good. For sides we had the fried yucca, papas criollas (roasted new potatoes, lightly seasoned) and plantains, all very good. We ended with Cuban coffee, a must. Service was friendly, restaurant was clean. Vegetarian choices could be expanded, but was happy to find a Latino restaurant that even had veg options. Would go back and recommend. read more

Tasteless food and there was a hair in the yucca I ordered!! The only thing good was the mango juice I had. Never coming here again.

Delicious! My hotel is not currently serving food because of limited staff so I figured I would have to order delivery from a chain restaurant. I saw Sofrito on the Ubereats options and was super excited to have authentic food. I will probably be ordering from here every day! I ordered the colombian empanada, the cuban sandwich with tostones and a nutella empanada and everything was amazing. The sandwich was huge so now I have a snack for tomorrow too! read more

The reason why am giving it four stars is because the wait was a little long and the restaurant itself lacked flow. But above all the food was delicious. I ordered the pork fried yucca and white rice it was very good. I especially enjoyed all of the different kind of sauces they had. If you enjoy Spanish food you will like this restaurant. I will be coming back here again and the prices were very good. I do recommend that the business gets more charismatic people to make the flow of my experience more pleasant. read more

Sofrito Latin Cafe - Great bar - Latin American Near Me - Orlando, Florida

Great food PERIOD! We ordered our food to go but the restaurant looked nice. You order your food at the counter and the staff brings it to you. There is a bar where sangria, wine and beer are available. My husband had the Roast Pork main meal with white rice and black beans. The beans were very good and the meat was very tender. Perfect. I had the Cuban Sandwich and Ham Croquettes. Also the fried yucca with cilantro sauce.Everything was just great. Highly recommend read more

It is just really nice to eat here. There is plenty of parking. It feels nice to walk in. It is clean and a great place to take family for affordable eats on a Disney Vacation (if you have a car). If you don't have a car, they participate in UberEats. Check out the app. The design of the restaurant is nice and open. There are lots of Edison style bulbs. The main bar top is nice. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. They have a wide variety of Latin American foods. Before I became vegetarian I used to get the Cuban Sandwiches, Half Chicken (Pollo ala brasa - Peruvian), empanadas, roast pork. Now that I am vegetarian leaning Vegan, I go with the vegetarian plate which comes with three sides. Yellow rice - more savory but cooked in Chicken stock. Red Beans - cooked in meat, unctuous (may have bones at times). Their appetizer breads they feature have a nice variety including regular flour empanadas, corn empanadas (gluten free), pan de bono (gluten free). They also have a frequent flyer bonus where if you check in (right next to the register) you get a free 8.95 meal for every 10 visits. read more

WHAT A GREAT RESTAURANT!! I work and live nearby. Drove by Sofrito for many many times but never thought about going in (did not know it is a very highly restaurant on yelp ). I got to learn more about the restaurant and the food at the Yelp event last month and got a $5 off coupon. Friday night we were looking for dinner choices; I was soooo hungry so decided why not try out Sofrito. I got the roast pork and was blown away when the plate was served. It was A LOT OF FOOD. If you get an entrée, it comes with a salad and you get to pick three more sides. For my roast pork, I got some boiled yucca, tostones, and yellow rice. They also gave me a dip/sauce that looks like thousand island on the side. Not quite sure what that was for but I assumed it's for the salad or tostones? Anyway the roast pork was SO FLAVORFUL. I read from some previous comments that it's roasted for about 36 hours. No wonder it's so tender and flavorful. Amazing. What makes it even more wonderful is the price. The entire plate of yumminess was only $9! Bf got the pancake dish with braised beef. I can't remember the Spanish name. It was pretty good but too cheesy and oily for me. Will definitely come back soon! Next time I'd grab a caffe con leche also. Sure it's gonna taste great! read more

The best culinary discovery in Orlando this weekend. The gastronomic proposal satisfies the Latin American and Anglo palate to the point of feeling like eating at home. Congratulations to your Manager Erika and her team for the attention and for maintaining the quality and cleanliness of the place at 100%. We will always come back and recommend!! When you walk in, they have their menu's hanging on a rack and it's two sided no fuss menu. Although the font is a little small, it's still possible to read. There are board games in the front that you can take to your table. We had a young child with us, so this a game of Jinga before dinner was perfect to entertain him as we waited to be served. There is also a large map on the wall, where you can mark the location from which you hail. Fun and educational for kids! I went with 3 friends and two of us got the Pollo La Brascas. It came with 3 sides. I got a side salad, white rice, fries and black beans. My friend got fried plantains (delicious!) and red beans. You can get a quarter or 1/2 chicken, which was nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection! You have a choice of dark or white meat. I chose white, which was moist, and flavorful. The fries were a little soggy and the salad was very basic. The whole meal was very large and enough to share among two people. I also tasted their vanilla flan, which was very sweet! We were full and satisfied. The whole dinner was very affordable considering the quality and quantity. I'd highly recommend it! read more

I grew up eating A LOT of Spanish food. This place was so delicious. The staff was really nice and helpful. I got the Camarones Al Ajillo with yellow rice, red beans, and tostones. My only criticism is that my tostones needed adobo but that's only because that's the way I eat them. Everything was so extremely tasty. My dad got the skirt steak with the chimichurri sauce and it was cooked perfectly. The Soursop juice reminded my mother of her childhood in Puerto Rico, it was that good. I'm from New York but would definitely come back to Florida just for this. read more

We stopped here randomly before heading to the airport. Everything was delicious. I had the pernil sandwich with a side of tostones. Flavor was so good. Husband had the roast chicken with rice, black beans and maduros. Yumm. My daughter had the kids grilled cheese with white rice. Service was great. We asked for a side of hot sauce which was homemade, HOT, and delicious. The location was easy to get to, and clean. Staff was friendly and attentive. Amazing. I'm visiting Orlando from NC and pulled yelp to see where I could get a media noche and sure nuff it pulled Sofrito. I ordered through the app and when I got there it was not turned in. According to them they were having issues with the app chow now.... Even then they didn't take long at all and it was definitely worth the little 4 minute wait. I definitely recommend it. Coming tomorrow for breakfast. read more

Great place for lunch. Had strip stake. It was well cooked and tasty. If there is one note, not a fan of ordering the food and drinks at the counter and prepaying. I do understand efficiencies and how that might keep cost down. Prices are low for the quality of food. read more
