My family and I stopped by Sofrito Latin cafe yesterday afternoon after seeing all the good reviews. They were all right. The food was delicious and a generous amount is served. The customer service is great too and all the employees were friendly. The only thing I think could have been better was the kids meal. My kids had chicken fingers and fries that I thought were a little over done. But in all honesty, they didn't even care. Overall great place to eat. read more

Food was incredible and received it in no time. Oh and did I mention, it was during the lunch time rush?! It even felt like we were ordering food from someone we knew for years, even though it was our first time there. We even played a full game of Uno with the kids as we were eating lunch. All around a great experience. This will definitely be a regular place we visit every time we are in town. Two thumbs up!! read more

I had their pork with 3 sides- yellow rice, fries, and plantains. I also got a Cuban and Colombian empanadas. The food looked delicious and freshly made. My food tasted good but I expected more spices and bold flavor. The empanadas were just average and I couldn't tell the main difference between the two I ordered. The restaurant is very clean and has excellent environment. The servers are very helpful and provide top-notch service. It wasn't busy when I was there for lunch, so I would stop in if I just left the theme parks there. read more

Great Food, I will say awesome!! Good taste!! But, how bad is to eat in a room at probably 78-85 degrees??? The taste went out no where, so uncomfortable that I forgot how good food taste!! Ohhhh no servers at all for tables, you order right away, they provide you a number and somebody bring the food, like a fast food place, dueño/ña, si quiere pesetear pues mejor ponga un fast food, una ventanilla y listo, tomamos calor en las mesas de afuera. ‍ pero ya dije, la comida súper buena!! read more

This little treasure is clean, intercontinental and DELICIOUS. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. The coffee alone is worth the visit! The pork is to dance for (yes, dance, preferably salsa). This a great experience--don't miss it! read more

Food was solid. Whoever the short manager is in the white hat and torn jeans that grabbed me a taste of the beer and then a full beer, I'm in love. read more

Where to begin..... this place is an awesome find 10 mins from the premium outlet. If you care for Latin cuisine this is the place. You're able to choose from different regions such as venezuelan, Cuban and Puerto Rican dishes. The food is made to order in a simple style, yet classy. You walk in get a menu, place an order, you're given a number and u take a seat. A server brings your food momentarily. Sit back relax and enjoy the spacious ambiance. I honestly can't find anything wrong with the place, in fact the customer service and hospitality is on point. Definitely will be back! read more

The cachapa was good, drinks were a rip off. And I found long curly hair in the quesitos. The person at the front taking orders has no clue what day it is, let alone how to take an order. The employees clearly didn't care to be there and it showed. read more

Great food, fresh ingredients, low prices, fast service. And in contrast to every other restaurant in this area, it's not a chain!

Had the papa rellena, Venezuelan empanada (chicken), cachapa with roast pork, kale salad and coconut flan. Papa rellena was excellent, delicious corned beef filling in perfectly fried fritter with nice crust and soft moist interior. Venezuelan empanada was also good, great use of spices and came with a good herb mayo sauce. I think this sort of handheld food is their strong point. Cachapa with roast pork was okay. Came out pretty room temperature and they did remake it. Still came out a bit cooler for my preference which kinda surprised me since usually when you return something for being cold it come back piping. I think the problem is they don't warm up the queso so that cools down the whole dish. Roast pork wasn't of the style I prefer. It was lean and no skin. It reminded me more of a stewed pork and tasted a bit sour. Not terrible just not that exciting. But I was hungry so that's how that went. The masa part was pretty tasty but I wish it had been more crispy. Just felt undercooked overall. Kale salad was fine except they missed the memo on removing the stalks so my wife had to eat around them. Apart from that she thought it was decent. Coconut flan was good. I prefer regular flan and it wasn't life changing but if coconut flan sounds good to you it will deliver. Overall I don't feel this place met my expectations based on the existing reviews. Their food is decent and the service is good, but nothing stellar. read more

High expectations based on previous reviews but I have to say a bit deception. I had de media noche and it was just ok, yuca frita overfried. Churros, no good. Girl at the cashier, very good service, guys serving, need way more training. My wife had the chicken salad, chicken was chewy and only ate the lettuce. We also had the Patacon sandwich and is not a real Patacon sandwich like I've had in other Venezuelan restaurants. Overall, won't try again read more

So amazing! Great empanadas, beer selection and even a really high quality side salad. This place is a gem - so glad I found it. The interior is adorable, spacious and nicely decorated. The staff was adorably attentive - even at 4pm when no one else was there! I am jealous we don't have a place like this by me in Ohio. Don't miss out! read more

1st visit here and we are so glad we tried it! Delicious, well-seasoned and prepared dishes for very reasonable prices. The roast pork was tender and flavorful and a generous portion. With the sides my husband and I were able to share the plate and both had plenty. The arepas were delicious and even the white rice was well seasoned and not overcooked. Absolutely eat here! read more

OMG!!! I was blown away by there food and please if you go don't forget to get an empanada of Nutella!!! It's AMAZINGLY delicious! I can actually say that the beans had color! If you go to other places usually the beans are pale and not very favorable well let me tell you their beans actually had the color red and were perfectly seasoned. OMG I can't say it enough. Go to this place and enjoy great food and service. read more

Super tasty and a good amount of food for a great price!

Delicious food. The Cuban empanada was filled with very flavorful meat, the churrasco was oh so tasty, the plantains were cooked perfectly slightly crispy on the outside while still soft and sweet on the inside. The red beans were cooked nicely but needed a little hot sauce. The only real disappointment was the Pollo a la plancho, garlic marinated chicken, which came out over cooked and fairly bland. Sangria was good as well. Overall would come back again. read more

Food was amazing! I had to try the cachapas since it had been a while and I was not dissapointed. Their churrasco, fried yuca, sweet plantains, and yellow rice was divine. Chicken empanada was very good and although it was fried, it did not feel greasy. Can't go wrong with a tres leches cake or a nutella empanada. Great experience and will definitely be back once I'm back in town! read more

Excellent Excellent Excellent. Visiting here from NJ & we really didn't want to eat at another chain restaurant. And since I have a Spanish mother at home I really don't look to eat at a Spanish place. I'm so happy I decided to eat here. The food was served quick with excellent service. We ordered a bunch of different sandwiches they were all great with nice dipping sauces. We ordered the steak, pork , and roasted chicken with rice & beans again it was excellent. Also ordered different empanadas & the kale salad Again it was excellent. Price was also great. For an entree you get , meat , rice - 2 sides with salad for $16.00. Over all it was a very pleasant dinner. Thank you Sorifto. See its not hard cooking decent food -good price & excellent service. the staff was very nice. Next vacation I'm only eating here. read more

Sofrito Latin Cafe - Kale salad delish - Latin American Near Me - Orlando, Florida

I'll give Sofrito a 3-3.5 overall: food was okay, ambience and value for money very good. Menu pan-Latin American (Cuba, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Peru, Colombia). I focused on Venezuela: Started with a salad (huge portion, fresh, overdressed); had an arepa "pabellon" (good--the arepa was more Colombian style than Venezuelan, but still my favorite part of the meal... the carne mechada was perfect plus just the right amount of queso rayado); a cachapa (came out cold, was a little too greasy, the cornmeal was bland, not sweet enough for me); a side of tostones (could have used more salt); and a guava juice. Ordered a vanilla flan, which they didn't bring out. The cashier was happy to remedy the mistake, but accidentally brought me coconut flan instead of vanilla which was just ok. As others have noted, the process to order is convoluted and not good for larger groups: you read the menu off a slate, order, then head for your table where they'll bring your food. Prices are great and portions of everything except the flan were humongous. Staff were friendly, their porch was the perfect place for dinner, and the vibe was relaxed and familiar. My favorite Venezuelan food in Orlando still comes from somewhere else--but Sofrito Cafe's prices and portions are better by quite a bit. Would definitely bring my family here after a day at the parks! read more

When visiting Florida I went here many times. This place never disappoints the staff are attentive and the food is amazing. The food is packed with flavor and nutrients. I love that there are so many gluten free and vegetarian options. I loved everything I ordered nothing was bad. I am in love with their salad dressing if I could have taken some home with me I would have. Also their guava juice was amazing not too sweet and super refreshing. Some of the best pork I have ever eaten. Very good, authentic Cuban food. The Cuban sandwich is spot on if you are from Tampa like me. The pork on the sandwich is soooo flavorful and really makes the sandwich. I also got the roast pork meal with yellow rice and black beans and sweet plantains. The pork on its own we to die for, and the rest of the food was really good as well. A little extra beans would be good, but I'm a big eater, so probably just me. If you like Cuban food, this is the place to go. read more

Wife and I enjoyed the coffee from this place. Great place for brunch! Try the Cuban.

Being from Miami, I crave latin food CONSTANTLY. Unfortunately I hadn't found any locations that met my expectations, that is until I found Sofrito. I have ordered from them many times, and many different things off their menu and the things that I have not like are few and far between. Their Patacon with shredded beef is absolutely delicious, and everything is seasoned perfectly on their menu. If you crave good latin food, come here. read more

I already love Spanish food with a passion...so when I ordered from here I was impressed off the bat. I literally have nothing bad to say about his place. Food is truly amazing & I definitely will be coming back for sure.
