Love the Cuban sandwich. Nice atmosphere and good food. Right around the corner from the Sheraton

Wonderful food and services! I recommend 100% the empanadas, they have 5 different kinds, my favorite is argentinian. read more

We had a very nice dinner here with friends and their families. The food was very good. I have to add the portions were very large. Service was great too. read more

Would definitely come back here. Super friendly and helpful staff, the food was great and so was the atmosphere. Cachaca and Venezuelan empanada were my favorites. Sangria was also very good. This is an awesome spot, I'm sure it beats a lot of the tourist spots around the resorts and it's only a $7 lyft ride away. I don't really understand some of the poor reviews on here. If you're going to complain about the order-at-the-counter dining, then maybe don't go to places with that style of dining? I've been to plenty of bad spots and believe me this is not a 3 star restaurant. read more

It was Christmas Day and we were looking for a place to eat lunch. This was the only place open nearby that wasn't a chain restaurant. We walked in, grabbed a menu, placed our order at the counter, paid, they gave us a number, and we had a seat. In less than 10 minutes our order appeared at our table. I had the Tripleta Sandwich and my husband ordered the Cuban sandwich. I thoroughly enjoyed my sandwich. It was pretty big that I had to take half of it home to enjoy for lunch the next day. My husband finished his whole sandwich before I even finished my half. He's eaten cuban sandwiches before and he said this one tasted great. We also ordered the sweet plantains on the side and those, too, were made well and tasted just right. If we came back to Orlando I wouldn't mind going back to this place. read more

My office team has ordered lunch twice from this restaurant and all of us have been very pleased. They have great prices and the food quality is pretty awesome. They have a variety of Empanadas, sandwiches, hot plates menu items, salads and desserts. We have ordered from all sections of the menu and can recommend this cafe to anyone. The flavors are nice and not too spicy for those who may be a little afraid of Latin food. The restaurant decor feels simple upscale and comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. You can order online, they deliver or you can dine in. They also seem to have a full service coffee/espresso bar. Yum! read more

Great food and service! The people who work there really love food and enjoyed explaining the menu. The tres leches was excellent. We had strip steak with sweet plantains, black beans, and yellow rice. We hope to have breakfast there soon. The fast casual style was well done and executed. Decent local beer on tap. read more

Everything about this place (food, service, ambiance, drinks) is absolutely awesome! I plan on coming back when I visit Orlando. Still thinking about their food. Yum! read more

Absolutely delicious and easy on the pockets. The man taking my order was very kind too. Great ambiance and great music. Just a few minutes from my hotel and i would definitely come back if i were to stay in the area again. I asked for some spicy hot sauce and it was basically lava in a bottle read more

Oh my goodness! So yummy. Just down the street from our hotel. The Cuban was marvelous.

SUCH RUDE AND CHEAP EMPLOYEES! We came here because we were at Orlando to welcome the New Year, staying at the Marriott right next to this restaurant. We thought we got lucky to be so close to a hispanic restaurant but we were entirely wrong! We ordered cafe con leche and toast with butter for all of us (7) people. The cafe con leche was watery and had absolutely no sugar, we had to continue asking for sugar because it tasted awful and the waitress got upset. That was not the only disappointment, when we opened our toast hoping it would make it easier to drink our awful coffee they had NO BUTTER!!! AWFUL AWFUL PLACE!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! read more

Great (value) Latin menu with a wide range, quick service. I was in hotel next door so preferred take out and went well

Great authentic South American..even if its a gringo writing this review. The cachapa was delicious. Also try the Lomo Saltado..skirt steak with onions and peppers Peruvian. Good location across from Disney Springs..Carla and Louise very nice..clean comfortable envirement. read more

Very bad food. Cuban was barely edible. The meat was dry, burnt and rubbery. The cachapa was cold in spots. The service is terrible, couldn't even get water. Plus they make you place your order before being seated, so they get tipped right away regardless of quality of food and service. read more

Food was good and Loved how they take thought on how they pack the to go food. The Capacha corn tortilla was a little too sweet for me but overall this place has some good food. Hubby loved everything. read more

So happy that Yelp brought me to this treasure since it was nothing short to what we were hoping for. Quality, local, affordable, authentic. We ordered our food to-go so I cannot comment on the whole experience of Sofrito but what I can tell you is that the food is outstanding, the prices are way more than reasonable and in Orlando? Is that even possible? You order at the counter, take a number and wait as patiently as you can for the deliciousness to be brought to you. The staff is friendly, helpful, and our food came quickly. The atmosphere seemed inviting and warm, even with board games!, so I wish that we had been able to stay. This is a perfect restaurant to stay awhile and chat or to get in and out if you are in a time crunch. And as for the food, I don't think you can wrong with whatever you choose. I had the Media Noche sandwich, a Cuban with ham, pork, swiss cheese, pickles and mustard. Melt in your mouth scrumptious and overall fantastic flavor. I couldn't get enough. The mustard is pretty strong so be mindful if this isn't your thing. Unfortunately I didn't get to try the other dishes, but our party also ordered empanadas which received only positive feedback and the Polla A La Brasa (White), chicken with herbs. The entrees are served with three (small) sides and a (small) salad. We went with yellow rice, yucca fries and toasted plantains which were all excellent choices and I'm glad that we divvied them up so the three of us could all try. Loved the sauces that were served alongside, they were versatile enough to go with just about anything...so tasty! Wish I could have tried the empanadas and chicken, they both looked and smelled fantastic. I'm bummed that I didn't get a chance to try the flan or Cuban-style espresso...so don't short yourself out...make sure to indulge in one of the delicious-looking desserts. If you go to Orlando and don't stop at Sofrito, all I can say is that you will miss out. read more

Really excellent food, great, fast service, and neat ordering system. Only gripe is that with this ordering system, it takes quite a while to order, (especially if it is busy; which it is always). Only having 2 registers, if you see a line out the door, I revise going back to your car and order online because it really does take a while. It sucks because this place would be a perfect hispanic cafe/restaurant if the ordering system was just a little faster. Other than that the food is stunning, a little pricey, but pretty good for the area. But overall amazing restaurant. read more

Had a good meal the other night here, although it wasn't a home run it was still pretty good. The staff is accommodating and it's easy order and sit service. I got pollo a la pancha and my husband got the toast pork. His pork was on the dry side as was my chicken but the chimichurri sauces helped moisten it. Tostones and yucca were delicious. It was pretty good food overall with nice flavor and I would go again, it's just a bit out of the way being down by Disney. read more

you order, pay, then seat yourself. good selection of food. food service was timely. decent sized portions. pollo al forno was moist and well seasoned. came with side salad plus 3 sides. beans, rice, plantains all good. 5yo daughter had kids burger although it was huge! not seasoned much and it was dry. for that reason along with it being warm in there, I gice it 4 stars. I would go again. and I recommend. read more

Okay first off, the ambience was amazing, as well as how fast the food gets to the table. The Cuban and Columbia's empanadas were delectable. But the highlight of my experience was without a doubt, the two different types of flan I had. I ordered the coconut flan and the vanilla flan. And I'm just going to say it, THEY WERE TO DIE FOR. I seriously need more of that delectable goodness in my mouth. Whoever goes here, order the coconut flan and the vanilla flan, you will surely fall in love with it. read more

Hello , so I have stopped into this restaurant and gotten 2 go about 3 times a week. For the past couple months. Always try to support local places instead of chains. Skip the tostones. But otherwise Food was fast to Come out. Food was ok. Close to Disney. But I do have a couple gripes. There is a brick (real brick, not decoration ) ledge inside the front of the waiting area. Where people are waiting. Some people are sitting on it. Which is now apparently not allowed. There is even a sign on it to not sit. Or even touch the brick. Lol. Roads are made out of bricks. Yet you can't touch a brick ledge? Very strange. Also. The men's bathroom has signs not to throw tissue paper in the toilet. So now there are dirty tissues with fecal matter in the main trash can close to the sinks. Very Unsanitary This is America. Not a 3rd world country. We can flush toilet paper here. I probably won't be going back to eat or take To-go anymore. Too many other options to spend my money at rather then employees telling customers to not sit on a brick ledge. And start flushing the toilet paper. I won't be back read more

This restaurant has a variety of South American dishes. Their cafe con leche is fantastic Cuban coffee. You have to try the Venezuelan Pabellon Criollo. You will appreciate this recommendation. This place is on Palm off of Route 535 and is quite hard to find. But when you find it you will be in for a treat. read more

We went there to have some steaks. Steaks were completely burned. We didn't enjoy the food at all. Never again.

The breakfast was really good and the Cuban coffee was great. Would highly recommend this place

The chalapa was good. My wife ordered roasted pork with papa criollas and for $3.00 she got 5 f-ing papa criollas. They should say that to people. They also ran out of: 1) pandebono 2) colombian empanada 3) papa rellena 4) white rice (who runs out of white rice...at a latin place) 5) when yellow rice arrived it was under cooked The ladies are easily distracted. They went off in the middle of our order to the back 5 times as I was ordering food. I applaud any latin business man but this is Orlando (known for tourism). Sofrito is not a magical place at all. They need to up their game. read more

All I can say is positive things, when I walked in I was greeted with a smile and anyone who I interacted with was extremely friendly and helpful. We had the Cachapa and Churasco and it was perfect. The dish was shared between two people and we were both full. Hands down one of the best restaurants in Orlando. Giving a "4" because the Happy Hour could have been a bit better. Sangria drinks were only $1 off. I'm used to happy hours being say, "$3" or so. But good experience overall! read more

I am visiting and staying at the Sheraton which is very close by. I had heard good reviews so I finally went over to here tonight and I am so glad I did. When you walk in you pick up a menu and then order at the register. They give you a stand with a number on it and you take it with you and then seat yourself. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and offered help ordering from the menu and I gratefully accepted. After ordering and since I was alone I took a seat at the bar. While waiting for my food I enjoyed the very nice atmosphere and also was approached my some of the very friendly staff who answered all of my questions. The food came out and was very tasty and I felt was a very good value for the price. You get three sides to pick from and a house salad with a main meal. I got the veggie which incuded the salad and sides all for $9.00. All the staff were so nice including the person who took my order at the register and then she came over with a beautiful smile and asked how everything was. I am here for a few more days but will definitely be back. I wish I would have tried this place sooner but so glad I found it! read more
