Had to try this place as this was just next to the hotel I was staying. So after doing a 10 mile run, went straight here for breakfast and it didn't disappoint. It's a pretty huge resto and easy to order either thru their computer kiosk or at the counter. The guy at the counter was very nice and hospitable. I love empanadas so I asked for his recommendations and he said try the Colombian empanadas. It didn't disappoint. The dough was made from corn and it was vey light, airy and non greasy. It was pure delicious and was very satisfying! I highly recommend this place!!

Went here for a vacation in Florida for breakfast! We ordered a beef Arepas that contains black beans and plantains, and a cafe con leche. The server helped advise food choices since we wanted something savory for breakfast! It met all the expectations! Savory and very filling! The total cost was ~$20 and there was plenty of free parking in front of the restaurant. Would definitely order the arepas again!

Another place I come for take out every time I'm in Orlando. Absolutely love the plantains. Pork and steak are really really good. This time I tried the sautéed veggie side - not great bc it was so spicy - so will need to stick with the pork, steak or chicken plates next time. Also had a beef empanada which was delicious

As a Caribbean woman my palate and my tummy were HAPPY! Well seasoned food, clean restaurant, great customer service, this place made my out of town friends super happy. Came during World Cup on a Friday afternoon. It wasn't packed but there was a steady stream of families and people who work in the area. Later into the afternoon more people started to come for the late games and Happy Hour drinks; not sure if they have drinks specials as this was a "dry work meeting." I had the 1/2 chicken, rice, black beans, plantains, and a mocktail. I will be back again to try more of their menu.

On our family trip down to Orlando, we were staying right next to this popular Latin cafe. Their menu was huge and had lots of different classics from arepas, sandwiches and grilled meats. I enjoyed the sandwiches we got as they were absolutely stuffed and loved the shredded pork. The grilled steak was also very good and had a nice char flavored that paired well with their chimichurri. The assorted platter we got was just ok as a lot of the meats were dry (possibly cuz they were cooking too many meats at once?). Overall I would say this restaurant was pretty good and had lots of variety so there are options for everyone to choose from. Apps: Ham Croquettes and Cod Fritters Entrees: Pabellon Arepas, Patacon (shredded pork in between plantains), Churrasco (grilled skirt steak) and Picada for Two (steak, chicken, pork and chorizo platter)

Flavorful Latin comfort food and delicious desserts Stopped by Sofrito Latin Cafe in Orlando and ordered the pulled pork plate, cachapas, and a Nutella empanada. The pulled pork was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. It was well-seasoned and paired nicely with the sides, making for a hearty and satisfying meal. The cachapas were a slightly sweet, soft, and comforting with a delicious filling that balanced the corn flavor beautifully. For dessert, I tried the Nutella empanada, and it was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The pastry was warm and crispy, while the Nutella filling was rich and indulgent without being overly heavy. Service was friendly and welcoming, and the staff made the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The vibe is casual and cozy, with a neighborhood café feel that makes you want to linger a little longer. It feels like a hidden gem where the focus is on flavorful food and warm hospitality. Overall, a great spot for Latin comfort food with generous portions and authentic flavors. I'd definitely come back to try more items from the menu.

The next time you are visiting this place is a must stop. Its really close to Disney Springs and absolutely delicious. We stopped in for dinner and cocktails. The mojito was incredible but the food is the star for sure! Freshly made and delicious. There are so many wonderful options on the menu. We cant wait to stop back and try more including breakfast!

Delicious Latin hamburger with pineapple sauce.

I don't normally write reviews, but all of the staff, and even the manager were very nice to talk to. Chase was greeted us when I first got there. He explained about the various foods. He laughed at all my jokes. Aliyah was a great waitress and came back often to check on us. She has a nice smile and was very friendly and attentive.

Three bites in and my husband declared Sofrito as his new favorite restaurant. Prices are good, food is great! Dessert was delicious! Service was excellent. Highly recommend. We'll definitely come back!

Pernil Sandwich with Side Sweet Plantains

It is my duty to come here every few years to remind everyone how much I love this place. I don't go there nearly enough, but I went yesterday and it reminded me just how good they are. We visited around 3:15pm on a Saturday and ordered at a tablet. I got a pernil with plantains and my companion got a churrasco. I also got their limited time St Paddy's day mocktail. It was kind of like a virgin apple mojito and it was really good and refreshing. The pernil was excellent as usual: well sauced and tender and juicy. The churrasco was beautifully cooked and seasoned. They always knock it out of the park here with their meats. The plantains were of course delicious as usual, and the service was great. My only comment is that I could've sworn that this place had Alfajores a few years ago. I could be wrong, but I vaguely recall them being delicious and I was sad to not see them on the menu this time. Any way you roll the dice, you won't regret coming to sofrito. They're quick, it's well priced, and the food has never disappointed me in my 7 years of going here.

evelyn A.

The service was OK not too happy with the service. The ambiance was great we sat outside. It was very nice very breezy. They had a TV there and they had sports on, it was pretty cool. The food a is amazing. It was surprisingly fresh. The pork patacon with sweet plantain was really good with the pork . my Bestie, She orde a Cherasco steak and they cooked well, it was on point. They have variety of different drinks. I would come back for the food. Service weak but over 4 stars ...

Fresh and flavorful food with quick service. We stopped in while visiting Disney World in October 2025. The portion size was excellent for the price; we could g even finish all of our food. The Cuban sandwich had a hefty amount of meat; the arepas did, too! Come hungry! This is fast-casual dining that is pretty healthy and fresh. Loved it!

Pay D.

This spot is soo cute! We made the drive from the airport and were very happy we did. Everything was so yummy, I had the patacon de maduro and are you kidding me! They were super friendly, and helpful. It's true cafe style, so you can come here to have a good meal with family and friends or even get some work done. Excited to get back!

Made a trip down to Florida to visit Disney and we decided that we wanted to try a few places outside of the resort. This place has so much great food. The ordering process when you walk in is a little confusing because if you don't know what you want or what is on the menu its best if you just find a seat and then go back up to the counter to order. Its very authentic and rich to taste. I had chicken and rice with a salad and for desert I had the tres leches. Everything was so fresh. I couldn't eat all my food the portions are a pretty good size. This dessert was by far the best that I have had. The portion of the cake was very small and expensive and thats the only reason why I took one star away, but the rest of the food was so good. I would still go back if I was in the area. read more

This place did not disappoint. The food was amazing and well priced. They feature staple dishes from different countries: Columbia, Cuba, Venezuela and Peru. I love tequeños so I had try the guava and cheese ones. Delish!!!! (I had them as appetizer but you can have for dessert as well). We ordered the roasted pork. Amazing. Very tasty, juicy and tender. Churrasco was good too although mine was a medium well and I like medium) but it was still good. My daughter ordered the Cuban sandwich. Although she was full, she finished it because it was that good. Finally we had the coconut flan. I'm not a flan person but I loved it. Staff was also very nice and courteous. We visited Sofrito on our first day in Orlando and absolutely loved it! I ordered the Cachupa pictured here and was in heaven. The staff members were incredibly kind and helpful in helping myself and my family members decide what to order! I really don't get the 4.5 star rating. I haven't even gotten my food and this place sucks. THIS IS NOT A RESTAURANT, this is a cafeteria. You have to stand, on a line in an empty restaurant, to be greeted with bad attitude order taker. Reviewing the menu, which was printed on brown paper in tiny print in a dark foyer is a challenge. Then the order taker has a serious attitude problem while having a tip jar out. Ridiculous !!!! I'll forgive it all, if my food is hot and delicious, although, I doubt it. We've been waiting 20 minutes, and not even a lil bread on the table. This place can't be owned by Latinos, it's cold and sterile. The American top 40 music playing is annoyingly low and the sounds of talking is so loud. We met the very nice manager who had to bring our order out, because a small portion of the meal was brought out to us incomplete, cold, lacking flavor. No hot sauce or salt/pepper were offered. Ugh, so disappointed... read more

Went to this place based on the reviews, unfortunately we didn't have a pleasant experience. We told the lady at the order register we wanted a Churrasco steak without the garlic sauce on top(Chimichurri) and when we got the order there was the sauce on top of the steak. We asked to please exchange the steak and the same lady that took our order claimed that it will take 20min to get a new steak and that it will be a very inconvenient for the chef to make another steak that she could just scrape the sauce out of the steak. She went back to the kitchen to speak to her manager about the plate with it. 5 minutes later she got back with the same steak flipped onto the other side grilled some more so we didn't notice that it's was the same steak. We got up and left the place without arguing. I will make sure to tell everyone I know not to eat at this place. By the way when I made the order I prepaid the meal PLUS %20 TIP thinking the experience was going to be as expected by the reviews. read more

It was hard to decide what to order, I would eat everything on the menu. We ended up coming here twice over our 4 day stay in Orlando, and everything was delicious both times. The churasco was cooked perfectly, and the chimichuri was excellent - I only wish there was more. The black beans were slightly better than the red in my opinion, but I would order either one again in a heartbeat. The pollo a la plancha was fantastic, the seasoning isn't overpowering, but it compliments the chicken perfectly. The sweet plantains were phenomenal both times. The only criticism we could think of was the totones abuela made had more seasoning. This place will definitely be a stop when we come to Orlando again, and that is probably the best thing I can say about Sofrito's. read more

We ordered their eggs and bacon with toast and yuca. And for our daughter no children's menu was offered so an omelette of ham and eggs for $8-9 was our option...and we had to ask for cause it never came out. Yuca came COVERED in garlic sauce. Both of our entire plates were swimming in sauce. I mean, bacon, eggs toast EVERYTHING was slacking up this strong garlic sauce. Couldn't find the girl we ordered from. Come to find out she was hanging out in the booth behind us with some friends and all the employees were taking turns hanging out at this table. The picture is my "over medium" eggs once they returned my breakfast without garlic all over it. Croquetas were good. Coffee was good. Service was horrible. Food was bleh There was one girl working extra hard to make it better because the girl we ordered from and everyone else was behind us yapping it up drinking orange juice being useless. read more

It was bagged nicely and well organized. The omelette was a generous sized portion with plenty of tender chicken, peppers, and cheese. My mom enjoyed the banana pecan waffles, and I took a couple bites as well. It was sinfully sweet and enjoyable, especially the bananas. We visited Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' at Disney Springs, and this was definitely one of my favorite meals while in Orlando. We started with the White Peach Sangria, the Church Lady Deviled Eggs, and the Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp. Now those shrimp deserve their own moment. They're tossed in house-made hot honey and served with remoulade, and they were SO good. Sweet, a little heat, salty from the bacon... just a really good combination. For dinner, we shared Art's Famous Fried Chicken and the Meatloaf Main Plate. The fried chicken is buttermilk-brined for 24 hours and came with creamy mashed potatoes and a cheddar drop biscuit. The chicken was seasoned, juicy, crispy... exactly what fried chicken is supposed to be. And the meatloaf surprised me because I don't usually go somewhere like this thinking, "Let me order the meatloaf." But I'm glad we did. It came with mashed potatoes, Southern green beans, and that cheddar drop biscuit. Comfort food done RIGHT. Everything we had was good. Not "it was okay" good. I mean we were sitting there eating, sharing plates, and talking about how good everything was. And apparently it was good enough for me to completely forget I do food reviews and should probably take pictures first. Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' at Disney Springs... I'll definitely be back.

We were staying at a Holiday Inn near Disney Springs so we decided to come here for a late dinner. One of the best decisions made here. We did a late night walk through the shopping center and landed here around 9:50 pm. It was pretty late and we worried there would be no seats but we were seated promptly. The establishment was very ambient, cozy, and well furnished. I liked the warm, glowing atmosphere of the restaurant. The server was extremely polite and took our order quite soon. We were starving after a long day but the food came out in around 20ish minutes which wasn't too bad. The serving sizes were quite huge. We didn't expect this much food for two portions. For $34 per plate, the dishes were large and came with a large helping of sides. The fried chicken was extremely crispy and juicy. They originally wanted to serve the food quickly/more fresh so they served a chicken thigh to me after on a second plate. They also forgot my substitution of Mac n cheese for mash potatoes so I got a free helping of mash which was sweet. The pickled cucumber was light and fresh which tasted great with the heavier chicken. The potatoes were a little heavy and I wish came with gravy, but still delicious. I really loved the Mac n cheese and finished that up. The chicken steak was also delicious with the grits but a little too salty. Wish they added the grits to the side for me to dip as it became a little too much at times. It was better to eat it with a side of potatoes to balance the flavor. The broccolini was sautéed perfectly and delicious, could eat a whole plate of those alone. The biscuits weren't bad but tasted better eaten with the potatoes. The food was a little heavy but so so good. We had to take half of the food to our hotel and ate it the next day for dinner as it was way too much food for one meal. Even after microwaving it, the food was just as delicious and flavorful. We spent about $80 but had so much food leftover. An expensive dinner, but everything tasted amazing. Would definitely come back if I had the chance.

It is a family owned restaurant founded by New York natives who noticed a gap in Central Florida for high quality, authentic New York style diner food. The original location opened on Universal Boulevard in the Lake Cay area, near Universal Orlando and SeaWorld. The restaurant quickly became popular with both locals and vacationers looking for an alternative to the standard hotel breakfast buffet. Following the success of the Universal Boulevard location, the owners expanded to additional Central Florida locations, including Lake Buena Vista and Dr. Phillips. The Diner has gained attention for its creative twists on classic comfort food. One of its signature dishes is the Bennyffle a combination of Eggs Benedict served over a waffle. The menu also features specialty cereal pancakes, including Fruity Pebbles and Oreo Crunch, along with classics such as chicken and waffles. In July 2026, the Universal Boulevard location even became the center of a viral national news story after a family of seven including children reportedly walked out on a $298.47 breakfast bill. The story highlighted how hard family businesses work and how an incident like this can affect them. I recently met up with a group of friends at The Diner for brunch. The Diner can get crowded, and they do not take reservations. I am grateful that one of my friends arrived very early to wait for a table for our group. The diner offers a selection of coffee drinks as well as alcoholic beverages, making it a festive spot for brunch. Since I had a long day ahead, I stuck with coffee and ordered the signature chicken and waffles. The combination was delicious. The crispy, savory fried chicken was the perfect partner to the soft, buttery waffles, while the warm, sweet maple syrup contrasted to the salty chicken. It was a very large portion and I really enjoyed my meal. The service was excellent, and the staff were very accommodating when we needed several separate checks. The empanada came LOADED with shredded beef and this empanada didn't skimp out on quality. It tastes so good when you dip it with the green sauce and it was chef's kiss. I think this is the best empanada I ever had and when I tried other empanada, it doesn't even compare to this. I ordered another dish but I forgot the name and it's soo good. I was a little disappointed because the menu said pick 3 sides and I chose all beef. Alfredo didn't mention to me that there would be an additional charge for the beef. As a result, I had to pay an additional $10 which was very pricey and didn't find out until I received my bill and saw the charge. I didn't make any complaints because the employees seem not to speak English well and it's hard to be a foreigner trying to adapt to the culture and the language. Cons- There is ALWAYS a weird perm smell when you go. It literally smells like someone is perming their hair, so not good. Another con is sometimes it takes long to get your food. And last but not least, I think their prices are not reasonable lately. Some of the prices do not match their menu, not sure when they raised their prices but I have never ever heard of a patacon costing almost $26 anywhere, and I frequent a lot of Venezuelan spots. Their name went from Q'Kenan restaurant to Q'Kenan Steakhouse so maybe now they just raised all the prices, I don't know. Their most expensive patacon on the menu is the one with Picańha and it says $17...yet I got charged 25.90. Regardless of how good something is, there shouldn't be a $9 difference from what is on the menu. That is absurd. On my last trip- $43 for an empanada, tequeńos and a patacon just doesn't sound right for Venezuelan food, and I come from living in Miami where restaurants are supposed to be more expensive. Add a tip and you're paying over $50 for street food. That's wild.

I love the sweet, salty, and savory altogether. The five and Dime is another hit and I think their signature sandwich. It is like the farmer but instead of apple butter it has gravy and it also has an egg. They also have some pretty good waffles, which is what I get for my kid when I take him here. Their tea and coffee selection is robust. The only downside is that as they have gotten bigger and they have lost some of their personal touches. They used to ask me funny questions and would use that to help find you to give you your order. They might ask who your favorite superhero was and call you that way. Now they just give you a number like everywhere else. The other downside is the price is on the high side and seems to have increased more as of late. Food is really good though.

Sofrito Latin Café offers a delightful escape into the vibrant and rich world of Latin American flavors. Located in a cozy, inviting space, the restaurant captures the essence of Latin cuisine with a modern twist. The atmosphere is casual yet lively, with bright decor that instantly transports you to a warm, tropical destination. The menu is a celebration of Latin American staples, featuring a mix of classic and innovative dishes. The mofongo is a standout--fried plantains mashed to perfection and paired with savory meats or seafood, making for a comforting and flavorful dish. The arroz con pollo (rice with chicken) is another favorite, with tender, seasoned chicken and a perfectly cooked rice base that's rich in flavor. For appetizers, the tostones (crispy fried green plantains) served with a tangy garlic dipping sauce are addictive, and the empanadas are equally delicious, with a crispy exterior and savory fillings. The salsa bar offers a nice variety of dipping sauces that complement the bold flavors throughout the meal. One of Sofrito's highlights is its cocktail selection, with expertly crafted mojitos, margaritas, and their signature Sofrito Punch, all featuring fresh ingredients and a strong Latin flair. It's the perfect way to start the meal or end it with a sweet note. Service is warm and attentive, with staff offering helpful recommendations and a genuine enthusiasm for the food they serve. Prices are reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes, making it a great option for both casual outings and special occasions. Overall, Sofrito Latin Café is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the bold, flavorful world of Latin cuisine. With a mix of delicious food, refreshing drinks, and a welcoming ambiance, it's easy to see why this place is a favorite for many. read more

Staff at Sofrito have asked me to write a review. Here it is: We was attracted by the name "Sofrito", especially because my two companions are actually Puerto Rican and they were craving for Puerto Rican food. First thing we asked was for the famous Mofongo, they said that they have it. We ordered a Shrimp mofongo and a Pork mofongo, myself I ordered Roast Pork. While we wait for it we got some empanadas that were delicious, and other appetizers really good. When we got the entrees there was the problem. The mofongo was cold and we doubt about it that it was made on premises. About my roast pork, I was not able to eat it. I try a couple of pieces and I left it in the plate almost untouched. I have never had such a hard rock pieces of pork with a microwave reheated test. Because I am honest i told the server right away. We ended up not eaten our entrees because my companions had similar issues. I was drinking beer and my companions coconut soda. Because the bad test of the food was in our mouth before we left, we ask for one coconut soda to wash it down. We paid our bill in full, even if we did not eat the food, and we left. Can you believe that they rushed out asking us to pay for the last can of soda? Obviously this people does not have any restaurant experience ! Any restaurant if you leave the food untouched will have some kind of compensation, some others will not even charge you for the food you did not eat !. But they didn't care ! they still want to get paid 1,50 for the soda. UNBELIEVABLE!!! read more

Lunch at Sofritos was nothing short of spectacular, just as it always is. From the moment we stepped in, the inviting atmosphere and the rich aromas of the kitchen set the tone for what would be a delightful culinary experience. We kicked off our meal with some refreshing bubbly that sparkled in our glasses, adding a celebratory touch to the occasion. The standout dish was undoubtedly the delightful croquetas. Each bite was a perfect blend of creamy, savory goodness, and they were complemented by a zesty dipping sauce that intensified the flavors. But the real highlight was the amazing arepa. Stuffed to perfection, it was a harmonious mix of textures and flavors that transported us straight to culinary bliss. The warmth of the arepa coupled with the fresh ingredients made it feel like a warm embrace on a plate. As we enjoyed our light lunch, we exchanged stories and laughter, feeling rejuvenated and energized for the rest of the day. I went to Sofrito Latin Cafe for lunch today and had an incredible experience. This place knows how to make real Latin food that hits all the right spots - everything was fresh, flavorful, and made you feel like family. I tried the churrasco steak with yuca and maduros. The steak was perfectly grilled with a nice char on the outside but still juicy inside. It came with this amazing chimichurri sauce that had just the right amount of garlic and herbs. The yuca was creamy and buttery, and those sweet plantains were caramelized to perfection. Even though it was busy during lunch rush, the energy was positive and welcoming. What impressed me was the attention to detail. My coffee came in a proper cup and saucer, the bread was warm, and everything was seasoned perfectly. You can taste the difference when people take pride in their cooking. For $19, I got a huge meal that was restaurant quality but felt homemade. I'm already telling my friends about this place - it's exactly what Orlando needs more of. read more

Sadly, things only got worse. Winni took our order incorrectly, was noticeably rude, and overcharged us. When we asked her to correct the mistake, she responded with an attitude rather than an apology. When the food finally arrived, it was extremely bland and lacked any flavor. To top it off, we ordered dessert, but it was never brought out--we had to specifically ask for it. Overall, this visit was nothing like our first and left us very disappointed. We do not recommend this place anymore. read more

For starters, don't expect a server, you order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Ordered a steak dish and the pice was small and dry after I wanted it cooked medium. The small piece I got was $15 for lunch. *Important - Do not take your significant other to this place! Gentleman at the counter kept pushing salsa dance lessons and after 3 times of my wife telling him no thank you, he asked if she was Puerto Rican and then followed that up with asking if her and I were together. Seriously guy? Unbelievable experience, my wife and I will not be back. read more

I recently discovered a fantastic Cuban restaurant located close to Disney, thanks to a colleague who took me there. I ordered a Cuban Sandwich and was blown away by how delicious it tasted. The portion size was generous and the price was reasonable. The bread was perfectly crispy on the outside and packed with meat. I also had a Cheese Empanada which came with a delicious cilantro sauce. The service at the restaurant was quick and efficient, and the ambiance was relaxed and comfortable. I definitely plan to return to this restaurant in the future. read more

From the moment I walked in, I felt at home. The staff here are warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy to see you--such a refreshing vibe that sets the tone for a great meal. The interior is beautifully decorated, with cozy touches that make it feel inviting. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and perfectly prepared. I have to give a special shoutout to their coffee--so rich and aromatic that I already miss it. Oh, and the empanadas? Don't skip them! It's the kind of place that feels like a lucky find, and I can't recommend it enough. read more

The worse service in Orlando a -10. Place was empty and we had to wait over 30 minutes for a coffee. Spoke to the Manager and still did not get service. Soup was spilled all over the plate, food was totally cold after they finally brought it. I have never, ever received such an unprofessional and insufficient service. Asked for silverware after finally the food came and had to stand up and go get it myself because they never brought it. I give this restaurant a -10 and then some. read more

Luis who works there went above and beyond for me with my order especially when uber eats messed up and canceled my order. Not only was the employee working there (Luis) amazing but the food was fantastic. I ordered the lomo Saltado and pollo a la brasa. The meats were cooked to perfection and had amazing flavors. The sides and sauces were also great. Had an amazing meal for such a reasonable price. Thank you Luis! If I lived in FL I'd be here all the time. read more

Order at the counter and food is brought to the table. Portions are a bit small but food was good. Prices were fair. Restaurant was very clean and very busy. Staff moved quickly and it was difficult to get attention when there were issues. Sad that bread wasn't served with the meal. Ive been to a lot of Cuban restaurants given I live in Tampa and not getting bread is really unusual. Still, an authentic meal with some other Latin menu items. read more

We looked up over 50 restaurants online to visit since we are in Orlando for the first time .... we saw some reviews of this place and we were curious.... now we are hooked! From the cool chalk and distressed decor, to the amazing food to the sinful Nutella drenched churros... holy crap!!! I got an awesome platter of fresh local sourced food (we saw the farm trucks unload when we were there) .. for only $12.00ish ... we will be back!!! read more

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant in Orlando! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the service was excellent. Our server, Chase, was amazing--very friendly, attentive, and professional. He made sure everything was perfect and made our experience even more enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you're lucky enough to have Chase as your server! read more

This place was incredible!! It took a while to get our food, but we it gave us a chance to take. Upon entered, you take a menu and order from the counter. The guy at the counter was very helpful. I thought I knew what I was ordering but he suggested I get it a different way. And it was amazing. Had the shrimp dish (I forgot the name) and it was very flavorful. Will come back again when in the area. read more

There are many options for Latino food in Florida. Being a chef and one that cooks and eats this type of cuisine regularly, I can be critical at time. This was not bad at all. I enjoyed the outside cafe area, and the service was good. Prices were not bad for the area and the connivence of several hotels within walking distance. I'd try them again next time I'm in the vicinity. read more

I ordered Colombian empanadas only to find that it was all potato and no meat . This is the 3rd time I order empanadas from here and it's been the same so it's no mistake , they're cheap with the meat . Also NO ONE came to check on us and we couldn't ask for what we needed at our table . Horrible customer service . Too bad cause they started out well . I wont be visiting again read more

The food came out at very different times -- there was about a 15-minute gap between the beans and the chicken, so our group couldn't really enjoy the meal together. Between the low food quality, poor timing, and service issues, the experience was disappointing. The Lomo Saltado was the one bright spot. Will not return.

Chef's kiss. So flavorful and cooked perfectly! Uriel was absolutely wonderful! He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. But I was genuinely excited for this meal. I'm a Rick Bayless fan and own all his cookbooks, so there was a little more anticipation involved than "please bring me food." I live in Texas and know my way around Mexican food and Tex-Mex, but I came in expecting something different. The restaurant is beautiful, the service was good, and we were well taken care of. The food, overall, was just okay for me, with a few highlights. The queso fundido was excellent. Great flavor, plus those long strings of cheese that turn eating into a small arts-and-crafts project. There were three of us, and it arrived with exactly three tortillas. The tortilla-to-person math was flawless. The tortilla-to-cheese ambition needed work. We asked for more, and they were quickly brought over, so consider this your friendly tip to request extras. I didn't need a huge entrée, so I went with the chicken flautas. These were really good, although the chicken had an unexpectedly creamy texture. Not what I anticipated, but I liked it. My bigger issue was the pile of extras on top. At some point, I wanted to politely ask the toppings to step aside so I could taste my flautas. Also, try the mango-infused iced tea. Really refreshing in the Florida heat, and one of my favorite parts of the meal. Apparently, I came for Rick Bayless and left thinking about tea. I'm glad I tried it. Beautiful setting, good service, excellent queso, and some enjoyable bites, but the meal as a whole didn't leave me eager to return. With so many other restaurants to explore, I'd probably try somewhere else next time.
