Nice clean modern looking restaurant with friendly staff. Your handed a menu and told to find a seat and decide what you want then come up front again to order and pay. The menu was short and sweet with a lot of great options. I ordered the lomo saltiado! Couldn't wait for him to put it on the table to take a bite of it, it was delicious! Then I tried it with the rice and was thrown in shock! How come someone who made such a delicious steak mess up rice like that?!?! It was under done and had a little to much garlic! Its on the pricier side of places to go for it not being a restaurant. The food got there cold and as for how good it was the best thing was the meat. I got churrasco w yellow rice, red beans, and tostones. There is also not a whole lot of flavor to the food. If it weren't for the sauces the food would be bland. Been here for dinner and food was good. Came in to try breakfast since reviews looked good. The food was tasty but does not include coffee. Being Cuban I was shocked to see a Colada for $4.50. In Miami $1.50. Single shot expresso $2.50. In Miami $1.00. Obsessed with this place and I'm not even a Cuban food junkie. Convenient to disney and other clients I was taken there years ago and have been back probably 20 times. The service can't be beat, the prices are reasonable, and the food is delicious. It's fast casual as you order at the counter then they bring the food to you. I'd go before 12 or after 1:30 because it gets packed for lunch rush. Ask for the sauces (they have like 10 ranging from cream based aolis to hot to sweet). Also their Nutella empanadas are out of this world. They have a huge outdoor patio and it's industrial ambiance sets it apart from traditional Cuban spots. The food was served one meal at a time with 10 minutes in between. We certainly did not eat dinner together. The food was tasteful, but the service was AWFUL at best. My American friend who is a picky eater suggested we go here to eat lunch, as he had dined here before. As a Latina, I thought the food was just okay. I understand my bias. Personally the portion for my meal, Venezuelan Patacon(pork) and tequeños, was significantly smaller than other restaurants I've gone to for the same price. Friend ordered pork with fries and white rice(like I said he's picky), rice was bland and pork was okay but could use more flavor. If you are not familiar with Latin food, go for it. If you are Latino and enjoy family owned hole-in-the-wall restaurants as I do, I'd recommend eating somewhere else. Also not trusting that particular friend's food choices anymore. read more

Superb food. We did takeout after a long day at the theme parks, getting a large, rich Venezuelan corn pancake stuffed with homemade melted cheese, a half chicken baked in a variety of herbs with a green garlic dipping sauce, a huge kale salad with a bunch of ingredients, a hot piping beef empanada fresh out of the oven, tres leches cake, and coconut flan. All were excellent, a fun variety of tastes, and ready in ten minutes for all of $38 (portions so large we had leftovers despite being ravenous.). Place was popular but moved fast. The system was antiquated you have to make your order with a cashier that had a bad attitude, also tip the server before without to know how will be the service ( I'm considered myself a good tiper 20%). If you want to add something you have go back make the line to pay for whatever you add to your order. If the restaurant can fix that system will have more repetitive customer. Was in town for a conference and looking for delicious food options. This place popped up on my yelp search and with all the great reviews, I had to try. The line was out the door when I arrived but everyone was in good spirits and looking at the menu as they waited to order. The inside is beautiful and has a very welcoming vibe. Customer service was amazing. Everyone I encountered was very friendly. The gentleman who helped my indecisive self order was extremely patient and offered some great suggestions. I ended up getting the Churrasco with plantains, yellow rice and black beans for dinner and tres leches for dessert. I totally meant to take a pic but I was hungry and completely forgot when the food arrived. Everything was well seasoned, the steak was tender and the tees leches was the perfect size to satisfy my sweet tooth but not overindulge. I have been to this restaurant several times and one thing I can say is that the owner does care a lot about a great experience. After posting a prior review and it not being so great the owner personally reach out to me to make things right. She send me a gift card for my family and I to go and have a dinner experience on us. It was on disclose the time and date that I would return to actually have a meal on her. We decided to go tonight since it was our anniversary. The restaurant was busy and almost no seat was empty. We ordered our food at the host stand. He sat down and waited for our meal and drinks. I ordered the beer flight for my husband and a sangria for myself. The beer flight was brought to the table with no label so we couldn't tell which beer was which. The sangria didn't taste bad but it wasn't the best I've ever had. It didn't taste like the fruit I've been soaked in alcohol which usually goes if that fruity flavor. It looks like the fruits were just dropped into the red wine. I explained to one of the gentleman at the bar that I didn't care for the sangria and if I could have something else instead. He offered me another drink which I didn't care for at the time. Or a complimentary dessert at the end of our meal. We chose the desert. Our appetizers were brought to the table a few minutes later. We ordered the Venezuelan empanada with chicken, one with cheese and a Cuban empanada with beef. The Cuban empanada came Looking pretty small for the price tag of $2.75. It also broke open on one side and looked a little burnt on that piece. We asked them to replace it and they did. However when they brought it out it had chicken in it not beef. We ordered ham croquettes for the table. When they were delivered to the table they looked like they were not rolled tight enough because they we're coming apart. Our main entrées came a few minutes later. For my son I ordered the Cuban Sandwich. It looked fine and put together well. I tried a piece of the pork from his sandwich and it didn't have much flavor. You're my husband I ordered the Colombian burger which she said was very good, and was presented nicely as well. The french fries did not seem fresh. My assumption is that they were very busy and prepared a large batch of french fries at one time. They were slightly warm and could use a bit of salt. For myself I ordered Lomo Satado which is a Peruvian dish I am very familiar with. Usually it has an abundance of sauce on the plate that way the french fries get submerged in the sauce and you eat it with the steak in the rice. The presentation was mediocre. There was barely sauce on the plate so the french frids stayed pretty dry. This particular dish definitely could've used the extra sauce for the french fries since like stated before they weren't Very good to begin with. The dish itself, meaning the steak was seasoned and taste very good. The rice taste fresh, soft and fluffy. When we were done eating we asked the same gentleman if we could have dessert. We ordered the churros and coconut flan. The two rolls came out literally seconds later. Obviously they were already made and probably sitting there for people to just grab and bring up to the table. They were soaked in oil. When I say so but I truly mean barely finger touching it pushed out oil. Instead of being light and fluffy like they're supposed to be they were super crunchy and overcooked. Probably the worst ones I have ever had in my life. being originally from Miami you know that I have had a lot of churros in my life. The coconut flan was delicious. I'm not a fan of coconut but I decided to give it a try. The coconut flakes on top didn't need to be there honestly because it added an artificial taste. The taste of the flan was actually very good and I enjoyed the liquid on the bottom. Overall the few times that I've been there I noticed that this restaurant lacks consistency. Sometimes you'll get a good meal and sometimes you won't. I have been there on days when the restaurant is not busy and days that it is busy and no matter what the chance of you getting a good meal is the luck of the draw. Take your chances when it's good it's great when it's bad it's terrible. I think it wouldn't hurt to take a look at The staff Hiring people who care about the integrity and presentation of the food. It's not just about getting food from the kitchen to the table in a timely manner it's about getting quality and consistent food every single time. read more

My family and I are on vacation to Orlando from different parts of the country. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal, except for me. I got the vegetarian main event with rice, beans, and tostones, with a spinach and cheese empanada to start. Just based on my order, you can probably tell that I don't eat meat. Empanada was great - nothing crazy, but not bad. My entree vegetables were steamed(probably in the microwave) without a drop of oil, or any seasoning. Just. Steamed. Vegetables. The tostones were actually so beyond overcooked, they were inedible. The rice and sauce were actually really good. Flavorful, seasoned well, cooked well. Beyond every other disappointment listed above, what was the most disappointing of my entire experience, was eating some of the black beans with my rice(that is advertised GF and V), and finding multiple hunks of pork in the beans. I get it. I understand that traditionally beans are cooked with lard/animal fat, and pieces of meat. But please don't advertise something a certain way, if it's not going to be served that way. I came here for lunch I liked the food it was great. You are required to order your food, pay and then it's brought to you at your table I didn't think it was that bad till you needed a refill and have to stand back in line to order another drink or after lunch you wanted dessert and have stand in line again and order. The food and dessert is always on point but tonight we came in around 8pm and the empty tables inside were uncleaned, they brought my husband the wrong drink and then waited 15 mins to get the drink he ordered. We both had the churrasco which it's always so good but not once did the servers come by to ask if we wanted another drink or anything else so we left without any dessert because we didn't want to wait. read more
