Had to try this place as this was just next to the hotel I was staying. So after doing a 10 mile run, went straight here for breakfast and it didn't disappoint. It's a pretty huge resto and easy to order either thru their computer kiosk or at the counter. The guy at the counter was very nice and hospitable. I love empanadas so I asked for his recommendations and he said try the Colombian empanadas. It didn't disappoint. The dough was made from corn and it was vey light, airy and non greasy. It was pure delicious and was very satisfying! I highly recommend this place!!

Went here for a vacation in Florida for breakfast! We ordered a beef Arepas that contains black beans and plantains, and a cafe con leche. The server helped advise food choices since we wanted something savory for breakfast! It met all the expectations! Savory and very filling! The total cost was ~$20 and there was plenty of free parking in front of the restaurant. Would definitely order the arepas again!

Another place I come for take out every time I'm in Orlando. Absolutely love the plantains. Pork and steak are really really good. This time I tried the sautéed veggie side - not great bc it was so spicy - so will need to stick with the pork, steak or chicken plates next time. Also had a beef empanada which was delicious

As a Caribbean woman my palate and my tummy were HAPPY! Well seasoned food, clean restaurant, great customer service, this place made my out of town friends super happy. Came during World Cup on a Friday afternoon. It wasn't packed but there was a steady stream of families and people who work in the area. Later into the afternoon more people started to come for the late games and Happy Hour drinks; not sure if they have drinks specials as this was a "dry work meeting." I had the 1/2 chicken, rice, black beans, plantains, and a mocktail. I will be back again to try more of their menu.

On our family trip down to Orlando, we were staying right next to this popular Latin cafe. Their menu was huge and had lots of different classics from arepas, sandwiches and grilled meats. I enjoyed the sandwiches we got as they were absolutely stuffed and loved the shredded pork. The grilled steak was also very good and had a nice char flavored that paired well with their chimichurri. The assorted platter we got was just ok as a lot of the meats were dry (possibly cuz they were cooking too many meats at once?). Overall I would say this restaurant was pretty good and had lots of variety so there are options for everyone to choose from. Apps: Ham Croquettes and Cod Fritters Entrees: Pabellon Arepas, Patacon (shredded pork in between plantains), Churrasco (grilled skirt steak) and Picada for Two (steak, chicken, pork and chorizo platter)

Flavorful Latin comfort food and delicious desserts Stopped by Sofrito Latin Cafe in Orlando and ordered the pulled pork plate, cachapas, and a Nutella empanada. The pulled pork was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. It was well-seasoned and paired nicely with the sides, making for a hearty and satisfying meal. The cachapas were a slightly sweet, soft, and comforting with a delicious filling that balanced the corn flavor beautifully. For dessert, I tried the Nutella empanada, and it was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The pastry was warm and crispy, while the Nutella filling was rich and indulgent without being overly heavy. Service was friendly and welcoming, and the staff made the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The vibe is casual and cozy, with a neighborhood café feel that makes you want to linger a little longer. It feels like a hidden gem where the focus is on flavorful food and warm hospitality. Overall, a great spot for Latin comfort food with generous portions and authentic flavors. I'd definitely come back to try more items from the menu.

The next time you are visiting this place is a must stop. Its really close to Disney Springs and absolutely delicious. We stopped in for dinner and cocktails. The mojito was incredible but the food is the star for sure! Freshly made and delicious. There are so many wonderful options on the menu. We cant wait to stop back and try more including breakfast!

I don't normally write reviews, but all of the staff, and even the manager were very nice to talk to. Chase was greeted us when I first got there. He explained about the various foods. He laughed at all my jokes. Aliyah was a great waitress and came back often to check on us. She has a nice smile and was very friendly and attentive.

Three bites in and my husband declared Sofrito as his new favorite restaurant. Prices are good, food is great! Dessert was delicious! Service was excellent. Highly recommend. We'll definitely come back!

It is my duty to come here every few years to remind everyone how much I love this place. I don't go there nearly enough, but I went yesterday and it reminded me just how good they are. We visited around 3:15pm on a Saturday and ordered at a tablet. I got a pernil with plantains and my companion got a churrasco. I also got their limited time St Paddy's day mocktail. It was kind of like a virgin apple mojito and it was really good and refreshing. The pernil was excellent as usual: well sauced and tender and juicy. The churrasco was beautifully cooked and seasoned. They always knock it out of the park here with their meats. The plantains were of course delicious as usual, and the service was great. My only comment is that I could've sworn that this place had Alfajores a few years ago. I could be wrong, but I vaguely recall them being delicious and I was sad to not see them on the menu this time. Any way you roll the dice, you won't regret coming to sofrito. They're quick, it's well priced, and the food has never disappointed me in my 7 years of going here.

The service was OK not too happy with the service. The ambiance was great we sat outside. It was very nice very breezy. They had a TV there and they had sports on, it was pretty cool. The food a is amazing. It was surprisingly fresh. The pork patacon with sweet plantain was really good with the pork . my Bestie, She orde a Cherasco steak and they cooked well, it was on point. They have variety of different drinks. I would come back for the food. Service weak but over 4 stars ...

Fresh and flavorful food with quick service. We stopped in while visiting Disney World in October 2025. The portion size was excellent for the price; we could g even finish all of our food. The Cuban sandwich had a hefty amount of meat; the arepas did, too! Come hungry! This is fast-casual dining that is pretty healthy and fresh. Loved it!

Pay D.

This spot is soo cute! We made the drive from the airport and were very happy we did. Everything was so yummy, I had the patacon de maduro and are you kidding me! They were super friendly, and helpful. It's true cafe style, so you can come here to have a good meal with family and friends or even get some work done. Excited to get back!

It's a nice looking place. We were there at 10:50 AM. I don't know how they work in the evening but for breakfast you order at the counter, get a number and they deliver the food to your table. My son had a breakfast sandwich. Egg bacon cheese sandwich on pressed Cuban bread. He liked it. I had excellent Cuban coffee and a mediocre Midnight Sandwich. The bread was overly doughy, not well toasted and the pork was shredded and not sliced roast pork. read more

We didn't even try the food. They didn't have the special advertised after she had to have someone else explain what was included. We said yes that sounds great, just to be told that we couldn't order it because they ran out. Maybe she was new and didn't know what was on the menu. We weren't able to use the yelp coupon so we just left. So much hassle to be upsold a 22$ meal because they can't erase their chalk specials when they run out. read more

Thank God this place exists!! Do not ignore the hole in the wall restaurants in your area. Desperate to try to find someplace NEW to go near work, I stopped in here with no expectations. I was completely blown away. The menu is expansive and fits to every taste palette. Cuban sandwiches, roast chicken, empanadas and tres leches! Everything is made fresh out of the kitchen and brought to your table piping hot. Portions are just right and they serve complete meals with three side options for your entree. A nice salad comes with all your meals and your choice of veggies or starches. They recently remodeled with a nice big patio for outdoor dining. When it's cooler out, we'll check it out. The owner says they may bring in live music for dinner. Definitely check this place out! read more

As you arrive at the restaurant, you're met by a server/cashier to order your food and pay prior to sitting down. This model takes away from the sit down experience as the waiter service is limited, so a simple task as needing salt or water was inconvenient. The flavor was good on the steak, yucca, and beans, however the fish snapper/pargo was chewy which may have been a sign of being over cooked (ie texture similar to a chicken breast). read more

When I'm in Orlando I usually go to Tropico Mofongo, but when I saw this new place with 450 reviews 4.5 stars, I had to try it. Unfortunately I was really disappointed. This restaurant seems like it was designed by someone who doesn't know restaurants. Small tables and humongous plates. Water carafes that barely hold enough to fill 2 glasses. Table number holders that fall over. The food was edible, definitely not authentic. It has dishes from many countries, and does none very well. (Jack of all trades, master of none). The Peruvian Lomo Saltado was sub par. The tostones were soggy instead of crispy. The pork was bland. They were out of Argentinian Empanadas. Next time I'll just go back to tropico mofongo. Hole in the wall place but they're at least good at one thing, Puerto Rican food. read more

Just came back from this resturant and I wasnt pleased with the food or service. The food I ordered was tasteless and I didn't have enough meat in my tripleta sandwich I ordered; basically I only was severed a bunch of lettuce, dice tomatoes, and little bits of cubed chicken, also I was missing steak within that sandwich. Even the presentation of the sandwich was not pleasing either. Furthermore, they didn't bother to come and ask if the food was good or how is everything. I guess that what you get when they say you can sit anywhere you want and order from the register rather than taking our order when we are at the table. read more

This place was absolutely adorable! The decor was very nice, and the food did not disappoint. You also get plenty of food for the price. My boyfriend got the Pollo a la Brasa with fried yucca, fries, yellow rice, and a salad for $9.99. I got the Churrasco with yellow rice, sweet plaintains, red beans, and a salad for $15.99. They were both very good and well seasoned. The restaurant has a lot to offer from food to desserts to drinks, definitely a must try. We also tried the mango juice which did not taste very fresh compared to other Hispanic places I have tried it at, but the food definitely made up for it. read more

My family and I saw the prior reviews and thought this place would meet the expectations. Once we were done ordering we sat down and to our surprise there was a huge half alive water bug around our table. We didn't make a big deal about it and quietly told one of the workers and moved to the bar area to eat. Strike 1! Next thing was once my son's food came out we requested ketchup from the woman behind the bar area for his sandwich. First time she ignored us. Then we asked again for her to help- and she made some sort of an attempt to tell someone, but 5 minutes later still no ketchup. From there we requested 3 more times from 3 different workers and 8 minutes later we got ketchup. Strike 2! On top of that we order their popular arepa and found a long hair on the plate under the wax paper. Strike 3!! Last strike was the time it took for our simple Cuban toasted bread. That took 15 minutes. Once it came out- they only gave us one order. Once we told them we ordered two, they got us the other Cuban toasted bread, in 2 minutes. Honestly horrible service and Cuban toast doesn't cost $3 Never again!!! In addition, out of courtesy, if you have a rewards program, mention it when we are paying so we can get the benefits. Terrible experience, especially customer service, food was very average. read more

I called twice to find out just a simple thing: how long is the wait for 5 people? First time I was put on hold for 5 minutes and hung up. The 2nd time I called, I was RUDELY put on hold for 20 minutes and COUNTING. I hung up and called yet again, the same woman answered the phone and asked if I can be put on hold, I told her I was just on hold for 20 minutes and just need to find out the wait time. All to find out, there is NO wait time for outside seating. If this is the horrible service I got just by asking a simple question, I can't even imagine the horrible service I'll get once I get seated. Horrible customer service. read more

Its on the pricier side of places to go for it not being a restaurant. The food got there cold and as for how good it was the best thing was the meat. I got churrasco w yellow rice, red beans, and tostones. There is also not a whole lot of flavor to the food. If it weren't for the sauces the food would be bland. Ok this has to be my favorite restaurant in Orlando and I loved the food so much. Alfredo was my…read moreserver and he had the best recommendation and I loved it. The empanada came LOADED with shredded beef and this empanada didn't skimp out on quality. It tastes so good when you dip it with the green sauce and it was chef's kiss. I think this is the best empanada I ever had and when I tried other empanada, it doesn't even compare to this. I ordered another dish but I forgot the name and it's soo good. I was a little disappointed because the menu said pick 3 sides and I chose all beef. Alfredo didn't mention to me that there would be an additional charge for the beef. As a result, I had to pay an additional $10 which was very pricey and didn't find out until I received my bill and saw the charge. I didn't make any complaints because the employees seem not to speak English well and it's hard to be a foreigner trying to adapt to the culture and the language. But this is soo good and I can see why the reviews on yelp are all stellar.

Cons- There is ALWAYS a weird perm smell when you go. It literally smells like someone is perming their hair, so not good. Another con is sometimes it takes long to get your food. And last but not least, I think their prices are not reasonable lately. Some of the prices do not match their menu, not sure when they raised their prices but I have never ever heard of a patacon costing almost $26 anywhere, and I frequent a lot of Venezuelan spots. Their name went from Q'Kenan restaurant to Q'Kenan Steakhouse so maybe now they just raised all the prices, I don't know. Their most expensive patacon on the menu is the one with Picańha and it says $17...yet I got charged 25.90. Regardless of how good something is, there shouldn't be a $9 difference from what is on the menu. That is absurd. On my last trip- $43 for an empanada, tequeńos and a patacon just doesn't sound right for Venezuelan food, and I come from living in Miami where restaurants are supposed to be more expensive. Add a tip and you're paying over $50 for street food. That's wild.

So of course, when I went to Pal Campo Restaurant, I had to order the paella. I didn't dine in this time, I grabbed it to go. First impression? They definitely got my attention because there was a big ol' lobster sitting right on top! Now THAT is how you introduce me to a plate of paella. The flavor was really good, the seafood was good, and overall I enjoyed it. My one issue was the peppers and onions. There were a LOT of big chopped pieces that I could clearly see and taste, and for me, that was a little bit of a turnoff. I prefer everything in my paella to blend together a little more. But did that stop me from eating it? Absolutely not. And here's the funny part. I ate the leftovers the next day and somehow it tasted even better! Maybe everything just needed a night to get acquainted because that second-day paella was hitting. So, as your self-appointed traveling paella inspector, I'm giving this one a 8/10. Sofrito Latin Café offers a delightful escape into the vibrant and rich world of Latin American flavors. Located in a cozy, inviting space, the restaurant captures the essence of Latin cuisine with a modern twist. The atmosphere is casual yet lively, with bright decor that instantly transports you to a warm, tropical destination. The menu is a celebration of Latin American staples, featuring a mix of classic and innovative dishes. The mofongo is a standout--fried plantains mashed to perfection and paired with savory meats or seafood, making for a comforting and flavorful dish. The arroz con pollo (rice with chicken) is another favorite, with tender, seasoned chicken and a perfectly cooked rice base that's rich in flavor. For appetizers, the tostones (crispy fried green plantains) served with a tangy garlic dipping sauce are addictive, and the empanadas are equally delicious, with a crispy exterior and savory fillings. The salsa bar offers a nice variety of dipping sauces that complement the bold flavors throughout the meal. One of Sofrito's highlights is its cocktail selection, with expertly crafted mojitos, margaritas, and their signature Sofrito Punch, all featuring fresh ingredients and a strong Latin flair. It's the perfect way to start the meal or end it with a sweet note. Service is warm and attentive, with staff offering helpful recommendations and a genuine enthusiasm for the food they serve. Prices are reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes, making it a great option for both casual outings and special occasions. Overall, Sofrito Latin Café is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the bold, flavorful world of Latin cuisine. With a mix of delicious food, refreshing drinks, and a welcoming ambiance, it's easy to see why this place is a favorite for many. read more

Staff at Sofrito have asked me to write a review. Here it is: We was attracted by the name "Sofrito", especially because my two companions are actually Puerto Rican and they were craving for Puerto Rican food. First thing we asked was for the famous Mofongo, they said that they have it. We ordered a Shrimp mofongo and a Pork mofongo, myself I ordered Roast Pork. While we wait for it we got some empanadas that were delicious, and other appetizers really good. When we got the entrees there was the problem. The mofongo was cold and we doubt about it that it was made on premises. About my roast pork, I was not able to eat it. I try a couple of pieces and I left it in the plate almost untouched. I have never had such a hard rock pieces of pork with a microwave reheated test. Because I am honest i told the server right away. We ended up not eaten our entrees because my companions had similar issues. I was drinking beer and my companions coconut soda. Because the bad test of the food was in our mouth before we left, we ask for one coconut soda to wash it down. We paid our bill in full, even if we did not eat the food, and we left. Can you believe that they rushed out asking us to pay for the last can of soda? Obviously this people does not have any restaurant experience ! Any restaurant if you leave the food untouched will have some kind of compensation, some others will not even charge you for the food you did not eat !. But they didn't care ! they still want to get paid 1,50 for the soda. UNBELIEVABLE!!! read more

Lunch at Sofritos was nothing short of spectacular, just as it always is. From the moment we stepped in, the inviting atmosphere and the rich aromas of the kitchen set the tone for what would be a delightful culinary experience. We kicked off our meal with some refreshing bubbly that sparkled in our glasses, adding a celebratory touch to the occasion. The standout dish was undoubtedly the delightful croquetas. Each bite was a perfect blend of creamy, savory goodness, and they were complemented by a zesty dipping sauce that intensified the flavors. But the real highlight was the amazing arepa. Stuffed to perfection, it was a harmonious mix of textures and flavors that transported us straight to culinary bliss. The warmth of the arepa coupled with the fresh ingredients made it feel like a warm embrace on a plate. As we enjoyed our light lunch, we exchanged stories and laughter, feeling rejuvenated and energized for the rest of the day. There's something incredibly uplifting about a meal shared with good company, and nothing beats the vibrant charm of Sofritos to kickstart our afternoon. #Florida #Orlando #yelpelite #sofritoslatincafe read more

I went to Sofrito Latin Cafe for lunch today and had an incredible experience. This place knows how to make real Latin food that hits all the right spots - everything was fresh, flavorful, and made you feel like family. I tried the churrasco steak with yuca and maduros. The steak was perfectly grilled with a nice char on the outside but still juicy inside. It came with this amazing chimichurri sauce that had just the right amount of garlic and herbs. The yuca was creamy and buttery, and those sweet plantains were caramelized to perfection. Even though it was busy during lunch rush, the energy was positive and welcoming. What impressed me was the attention to detail. My coffee came in a proper cup and saucer, the bread was warm, and everything was seasoned perfectly. You can taste the difference when people take pride in their cooking. For $19, I got a huge meal that was restaurant quality but felt homemade. I'm already telling my friends about this place - it's exactly what Orlando needs more of. read more

We visited this place three years ago and had a fantastic experience, so we were excited to return. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. When we ordered lunch to go, we encountered several issues during pickup, but we assumed it was just a one-time problem. We decided to give it another try and came in for dinner today. Sadly, things only got worse. Winni took our order incorrectly, was noticeably rude, and overcharged us. When we asked her to correct the mistake, she responded with an attitude rather than an apology. When the food finally arrived, it was extremely bland and lacked any flavor. To top it off, we ordered dessert, but it was never brought out--we had to specifically ask for it. Overall, this visit was nothing like our first and left us very disappointed. We do not recommend this place anymore. read more

There are many options for Latino food in Florida. Being a chef and one that cooks and eats this type of cuisine regularly, I can be critical at time. This was not bad at all. I enjoyed the outside cafe area, and the service was good. Prices were not bad for the area and the connivence of several hotels within walking distance. I'd try them again next time I'm in the vicinity. read more

I ordered Colombian empanadas only to find that it was all potato and no meat . This is the 3rd time I order empanadas from here and it's been the same so it's no mistake , they're cheap with the meat . Also NO ONE came to check on us and we couldn't ask for what we needed at our table . Horrible customer service . Too bad cause they started out well . I wont be visiting again read more

Both times, I had rotisserie chicken; 1/4 chicken cooked to tender perfection, red beans and seasoned rice, plus sweet, fried plantains. It is a very delicious and filling meal. I sampled my wife's chicken soup with chunks of chicken, corn, potatoes or yucca and green plantains. It was very good. Service was kind, attentive and remembered us from our first visit. Atmosphere was low key and pleasant. I like this location, in a less congested area, and closer to Hilton Grand Vacation's Parc Soleil, where we often stay on vacation.

The food came out at very different times -- there was about a 15-minute gap between the beans and the chicken, so our group couldn't really enjoy the meal together. We were also surprised to see automatic gratuity added for a party of only five, especially considering the slow service. Between the low food quality, poor timing, and service issues, the experience was disappointing. The Lomo Saltado was the one bright spot. Will not return.

The guacamole is seriously to die for, and the salsas were just as good. I had the mango-avocado ensalada, which was fresh, light, and somehow still really filling. And the carne asada and al pastor? Chef's kiss. So flavorful and cooked perfectly! Uriel was absolutely wonderful! He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. The rest of the staff was just as welcoming, and the restaurant itself was impeccably clean. As someone visiting from Southern California, my Mexican food standards are pretty high, and Frontera Cocina definitely delivered. I would 100% come back the next time I'm in Florida. Highly recommend!

Vacation expectations are funny. After a day of traveling to Disney World, sometimes I'm just happy…read moreto be sitting down somewhere that doesn't require a boarding pass. But I was genuinely excited for this meal. I'm a Rick Bayless fan and own all his cookbooks, so there was a little more anticipation involved than "please bring me food." I live in Texas and know my way around Mexican food and Tex-Mex, but I came in expecting something different. The restaurant is beautiful, the service was good, and we were well taken care of. The food, overall, was just okay for me, with a few highlights. The queso fundido was excellent. Great flavor, plus those long strings of cheese that turn eating into a small arts-and-crafts project. There were three of us, and it arrived with exactly three tortillas. The tortilla-to-person math was flawless. The tortilla-to-cheese ambition needed work. We asked for more, and they were quickly brought over, so consider this your friendly tip to request extras. I didn't need a huge entrée, so I went with the chicken flautas. These were really good, although the chicken had an unexpectedly creamy texture. Not what I anticipated, but I liked it. My bigger issue was the pile of extras on top. At some point, I wanted to politely ask the toppings to step aside so I could taste my flautas. Also, try the mango-infused iced tea. Really refreshing in the Florida heat, and one of my favorite parts of the meal. Apparently, I came for Rick Bayless and left thinking about tea. I'm glad I tried it. Beautiful setting, good service, excellent queso, and some enjoyable bites, but the meal as a whole didn't leave me eager to return. With so many other restaurants to explore, I'd probably try somewhere else next time.

It was conveniently located nearby and turned out to be a wonderful breakfast stop. The atmosphere was cozy, welcoming, and relaxing, which was exactly what we needed in the morning. The staff gave us such a warm welcome and were very patient while we took our time looking through the menu and deciding what to order. For drinks, we ordered the 3 Mocha, a cappuccino, and a matcha latte, and everything tasted great. The mocha in particular was excellent, it had such a rich, naturally delicious flavor that it honestly didn't need any additional sweetness. For breakfast, we ordered the Breakfast Club, Avocado & Egg Salad Sandwich, and Mushroom Avocado & Vegan Sausage Breakfast Burrito. Everything was delicious, and the portions were excellent and very satisfying. There was a great variety of flavors across the dishes, and everyone at the table found something they really enjoyed. Overall, Moma's Cafe was a great breakfast experience from start to finish. Between the cozy atmosphere, welcoming staff, delicious drinks, and generous portions, it's definitely a place we would happily return to the next time we're in the area. A breakfast spot worth repeating!

The restaurant looked like it was only at half capacity (seating). The cashier was polite/friendly. It's sad to see a restaurant turn away customers. There were at least 8 parties that came and left because they didn't want to wait. I guess for a business that's a good problem to have. ‍ Giving three stars because the ambiance was nice, cashier seemed friendly, menu had a nice selection for brunch, speciality drinks/coffee. Next time I'm in town and try the food I can give additional two stars if the food is worth it.

We got out table right away and we received chanchita chulpi immediately. It was really good because it tasted very fresh. The order took a bit longer than expected and I noticed that it happened to all the tables. I tried the makis acevichados. The taste was good, but they are not the peruvian makis I have tried for years in Peru. This was something different, but still good. The tacu tacu with lomo saltado, though. It was really good. I liked when it comes with a tick sauce instead of just water. The tacu tacu may have needed to get crispy a little bit, but the flavor was amazing. Finally, they only have option of glass of chicha morada. The taste was really good, I could feel the spices.

The husband said his bagel sandwich was good, not great and could be better if the egg was seasoned. He loved his coffee. My mocha latte was good, could be better if the ratio of the chocolate was increased just a smidgen. But I was absolutely blown away by the Spanish avocado toast! What a delicious combination of quality Spanish chorizo, guacamole, boiled egg slices and onions! It was hands down the best thing I've had for breakfast in years!
