I was very pleasantly surprised to hear there was pizza at Sofie's Pita. I had not even been to their establishment so, after a long day of moving my son and I went into town to check it out and order take out. The restaurant has great lighting very open lots of seating and a big screen tv with sports on. Saturday night was busy so it was a bit of a wait. The pizza was delicious loved the sauce and the toppings were perfect ratio, yummy we'll be back and they're reasonably priced as well.

They have individual up to 20 inch pizza. The pizza was great. Loved how the ingredients are placed all the way to the back crust, so you're not just left with plain crust. The meat and cheese was so fresh. It takes about 15 minutes to get a pizza because it needs to bake. We ordered the dolmas and baklava too. Both were really good. I love dolmas, and they are one of the best I have had...super fresh and warm here. It comes with salad, a pickle and peppercini. Plenty of parking and pet friendly too.

All I can say is WOW. Incredible food and prices. Especially the portion sizes. The Shawarma is tender and perfectly seasoned. Definitely coming back to try the whole menu!

It's like we stepped right back into the souks of Marrakesh we visited a few years ago!! What an immersive dining experience! From the service, the decor, creative cocktails and food...everything was exceptional! It took us 2 years to get a reservation and we had the best night ever. The Saladin Platter and Soltani Platter fed all 3 of us with food leftover for another 2 people. We had the following cocktails: Red Sea Ritual which was great. The Riad which was our vote for best drink! And the Joon which sadly was too salty (brine) for our liking. Also shared the Date Night cocktail which we didn't realize was a dessert cocktail but awesome if you love dates (the fruit). Haha We are already planning our return. Unfortunately it was a big disappointment. We first walked in and of course the beautiful decor stuns you, but once you look around you realize that the place is much MUCH smaller than expected. In all the pictures it looks like it's a large restaurant but it's actually pretty small. When you get seated it takes the waiters a little while to come over and greet you, and the waiters are not overly friendly, it more so seemed like he was rushed. We ordered drinks and an appetizer to begin and placed our order for food at the same time. The chicken shawarma hummus came out first with naan bread. We finished the appetizer and still no drinks in sight. Our food came out and the drinks finally did as well. We had ordered two beers one of which was not very cold. We were excited to try the food as you can see everything being cooked on the grill, so it builds up anticipation. We ordered the lamb shank which comes with rice and greens, and we also ordered the steak kabob which comes over a toasted type of bread with spread and a sauce, as well as two extra naan breads. The lamb shank came out hot and it was very delicious. This was the star of the show! The steak kabob comes with about 5 small pieces of steak and leaves much to be desired. It was cold and the sauces and cracker/bread didn't really complement it well. The most disappointing thing was that it was cold so it was hard to really enjoy it. We were almost done with our meal and the naan had still not come out or the second beer we ordered in the process of dinner. Towards the middle of our meal, another server came by and asked if we wanted a box. My husband was in the middle of having a bite of his food and you could tell we were not done yet. The server even said "oh sorry I don't mean to rush you" so you could tell he knew what he was doing. I don't expect to be rushed through our meal when we had been waiting a long while for our meal to come out and when things got missed. Overall, for the prices and hype this place has, it leaves you feeling dissatisfied and disappointed. If you are looking for a place to take cute pictures and don't really care about the food then you'll love this place, but if you truly like to enjoy the food and look for great customer service, then there are way better places that can go above and beyond your expectations.

The schwarma is seasoned very well, and not chewy. The rice is also very good, and flavorful. The hummus is one of my favorites, although this time it was a little thicker than usual. I love the dressing they use on the salad, I could eat a whole bowl of the stuff. The salad had a lot of cucumber, cut in big chunks, which is how i like it. The bread is enough for 2 people at least, so i would keep that in mind. 2 of us shared it and we still had some left over that we couldn't finish. The portions in general are very big, for me it was enough to dance leftovers of everything except the salad. As a result, the restaurant was not crowded, but they were out of several menu items. The restaurant is spacious and very color coordinated. The armrests on the chairs are at a slightly odd height for me but very aesthetic. This restaurant is family-run by a father and son duo. The father was cooking while his son was on the front end of things. The service was super friendly and I really appreciated that he explained the menu thoroughly to us. They were out of beef kabob and chicken shawarma (my go-to). I opted for the liver plate with fries, and also tried a bite of beef shawarma. We were also served a complimentary lentil soup as an appetizer. The soup was DELICIOUS. Soft and warm and comforting, with vermicelli bits in it. It was incredibly flavorful and soothing, something I would crave on cold days, sick days, any days really. I will definitely be finding recipes and attempting to make this myself. Middle Eastern places always have the most delicious, freshly fried fries, 10/10 no notes especially with ketchup (sue me, I'm basic XD). My grilled liver hit the spot. I think my one critique would be that because the pieces were quite large, some parts were quite tough. The roast onions and tomatoes had a good smoky char, and the portions were generous. After I polished off my first cube, the son swung by and set a grilled jalapeño down in front of me, saying that his father recommended parting it with the liver. It's personal touches like this that make me really love a local, family owned place! And his father was definitely right about the jalapeño. That and the pickled cabbage were the perfect complement for the rich, earthy liver. Prices were fair and portions were huge. The service was standout here as well. I would LOVE to come back and try their lamb dishes, and I definitely anticipate updating to a 5 star review then.

It appeared that there was only one person working at the time, so he had to make all the food himself. I can't imagine what it would have been like if there were multiple customers! Once the food got to us, it was actually really good. My combo plate included gyro and chicken shawarma. It was more than enough food with leftovers, and it had a great mix of meat, saffron rice, pita, hummus and salad. The other dishes we got were also really good, including the salmon and the other combo plate. My daughter had ordered the "cheese pita" but it was literally a quesadilla. It was made on a tortilla, not even pita bread. But whatever, she didn't care. The bigger issue was I tried a bite of her quesadilla and the cheese tasted like stinky feet. I think they had used cheese that went bad. My husband sniffed it as well and agreed. So they lost another star for that. I was so prepared to like this place, but stinky cheese and long waits made it not worth it.
