Not even a hello. Items are beautiful, service is poor. Salespeople ignored me until I picked out some items. Although there were 2 salespeople, I was not acknowledged until I had selected an armful of items and then was offered a fitting room. Never was offered help afterwards. Would have liked to try on other options but was made to feel like a bother. Only one other customer at the time. Conversely, in shoe store, I had a very friendly, welcoming experience. Christine was very helpful, attentive even though there was another customer and she was only salesperson. She was very knowledgeable, offered various suggestions. I made a shoe purchase but did not make a in-store clothing purchase. Fortunately found clothing designers' web pages online and ordered directly from designers.

We were getting dressed for the party when we realized we'd forgotten to pack our four-year-old's clothes, stacked in a neat pile back in Los Angeles. Instead of letting him arrive in a dirty T-shirt and jeans, I rushed to Chicken Little for a ten-minute State Street shopping spree. My husband called ahead, so there was a sales lady waiting for me, ready to show me where to look for little boy party clothes. I quickly found some comfortable-looking denim pants dark enough to pass for chinos, as well as a couple of button-down shirts and a nice sweater--I was going to cover my bases. I was about to check out and run when I remembered our son might also want socks, underwear, and clean clothes for the next day, and I was able to procure everything in another few minutes of furious shopping. I even found birthday cards for Grandma Robyn and my father-in-law, who was also celebrating a birthday. I didn't have time to explore and appreciate the rest of the store, but it was big and charming, well stocked with toys and gifts in addition to all the wardrobe necessities. Service was fantastic. The woman helping me even said I could return whatever I wanted, but everything was cute and high quality, so I kept it all. I am now a devoted Chicken Little customer, and will come back any time I need kid gear in Santa Barbara.

I was so excited to find a place like this that houses cats that are ready for adoption. The cats have been fully vaccinated, microchipped and have been spayed/neutered. They have reservations available to come pet and play with the cats. You can pay for a 15 minute session or a one hour session. It's such a win-win since the cats get socialized by the people going there and you get the opportunity to live on the cats. Well, I came for an hour and basically cried the whole time as I got to pet and play with the cats. Of course there was one, in particular, that looked similar to mine that I just lost. They crawled up on my lap and just let me pet them and cry. Very therapeutic! Please come support Cat Therapy as they help facilitate finding safe homes for these loving cats. Or better yet, come adopt one of your own. The facility is beautifully designed with toys, boxes, bowls to sleep in, scratch pads and indiscreet litter boxes. The cats freely roam so the doors stay locked to be sure they don't accidentally get out. Just ring the bell when you arrive. They also sell merchandise. This was well worth it! For weeks I hunted locally and online but everything I found was MADE IN CHINA! So I went in and was immediately impressed by the diversity of sheepskin products.... all gorgeous car seat covers, slippers, boots, rugs, etc. Anyway, the owner, Mike, is fantastic. He is very knowledgeable and accommodating. I left with a gorgeous, champagne low-pile deluxe rug from New Zealand. These are treated so they are hand washable or machine-washabke on delicate with a special cleaning wash specifically for these. This treasure will last my lifetime and be handed down to my children. I'm beginning to think of Christmas presents, baby gifts and birthdays. Quality quality quality!

Especially with the constant sales and promotions they always seem to have. There is always a decent amount of employees walking around who are nice and reasonably knowledgeable, but the layout is so straightforward that it's easy enough to figure out the different departments and where one may find something on their own. The cashier process can be a little slow, but I find that a lot of times it's due to weird costumer interactions having nothing to do with the staff itself.
