Wow this place is a VIBE. Great for date nights. It's in an odd shopping/food complex but you go up outside stairs and the inside is magical. I love the blues and purples and the hanging flowers just make you go "wow". Our server was very attentive and the food came out so fast. We both got the chicken Alfredo but I had mine with gluten free pasta of course. I asked and no, they don't make their gf pasta in house (I've only been to one place that has) and yet it's still $4 more, but that's gluten free living. I hadn't had Alfredo in who knows how many years but it was to die for. So cheesy and I love cheese. Would have liked maybe a few more chicken pieces but there was a lot of sauce which I deeply love. The restaurant was overall amazing! The service was phenomenal, the food and drinks came out quick, and everything was the perfect temperature. The atmosphere was adorable with the lights and hanging flowers. The mushroom pasta with steak bites was delicious and the portion size was enough for dinner and lunch the next day. We came for our anniversary and got a specialty menu saying "Happy Anniversary." It was such a nice touch! The carrot cake was very dense and doughy, if you're looking for good dessert I wouldn't recommend any of their desserts I also got the brownie and the lime icebox cake. I was in town for the weekend to run a half marathon and wanted to do some carb loading. Society was recommended to us by our server at the place we went to for brunch earlier that day. We did not have a reservation so we went at about 6:30 to hopefully grab a couple of seats at the bar. As soon as we walked in we were struck by the decor. It helped set the ambiance which we really enjoyed. The hostess said we could sit at the bar so our plan worked! The bartenders were friendly and attentive. We started with meatballs as the appetizer, and I ordered vodka alla pasta with chicken for entree, while my friend ordered the chicken Alfredo. We both had a glass of wine each to conclude dinner. Tried this totally based on Yelp reviews and scores with ~500 reviews of 4.6, so here is my review as a first time guest. Arrival was cold, hostess put me at an elevated table with little interaction about my visiting. A little passion about eating here would have gone a long way. Setting the stage to eat at a flipping 4.6 rated restaurant would have got me excited. My wait for a glass of wine was noticeably long as they appeared to care less about my arrival. I like Red Blends wine and there were three varieties on the menu many of which were low budget Costco wines. Their wine selections were junior varsity at best. I ordered the crab cake appetizer and house salad and both were outstanding, full of flavor and worthy in the category of 4+ scores. My entree was the pesto dish with Italian sausage was very good. Overall this is a very good Italian selection but the elevated scores are a miss. I would do this again but it's not a 4+ place. read more

They don't have a bite beer select but the bartending suggested a beer that was great. Wish I can remember what it was. For dinner I ordered the Mexican street corn and the penne a la vodka with grilled chicken. The Mexican street corn was very good but very spicy. More so than typical Mexican street corn. There was some kind of green paste they used which made it spicier than needed. The penne vodka was excellent. Cooked perfectly and a good size portion. This place may have made my trip to AZ from a foodie perspective. I had the Marg Pasta on my radar after looking at restaurants around ASU's campus. I checked in with my server before ordering and was told it's the best pasta not only on the menu, but in the city... and honestly, the guy wasn't wrong! I crushed that dish and my only regret is the amount of walking I did afterwards and the fact that there wasn't even more of it. The pepper/onion/jalapeño combo was fantastic, the sauce has a nice little kick, and the cilantro just freshens everything up and ties the dish together perfectly. Came here for happy hour on a Friday and can I just say, the place is beautiful. We grabbed drinks and checked out the menu. The menu was fine but not vegan friendly at all. What a great place to take a date or special occasion (non vegan) lol. The bartenders are great and attentive. They bill themselves as a late night stop off, so you can go late- they're open til 2am! I had the most amazing time at Society celebrating a friend's birthday! We were a party of 11 and had a reservation beforehand so it was a breeze to get there and be seated on time. Parking was pretty busy but I found a spot after driving around for a a few minutes to find a place. The ambiance is super cute, with a boutique feel, sort of an immersive decor with florals, beautiful lighting in all of the right spots but dark enough to give a night life vibe and chandeliers that created an more upscale feel. Place is located near ASU so that was fun as well & it was my first time coming here. The food is Italian and menu has plenty of options to please many preferences. I decided to try the lobster p something (sorry I forgot the name lol) but it was a pasta with pieces of lobster in it and a delicious sauce, I loved it. It was a bit heavy for the night but since we were all set to try pasta I went for it! In my table we had different pasta choices ranging from a basics Alfredo to pesto shrimp, to salmon and everyone was satisfied. The service was friendly and helpful every time. They had a hiccup where a ticket was lost resulting in delayed meals for a few people but they were so apologetic and kept us updated. It wasn't a big deal but I appreciated their communication about it. For appetizers, the crowd pleasers were the bacon wrapped dates and the whipped feta. The meatballs were tasty and the least favorite was the arancini. For entrees, people loved their pastas (mushroom and the pesto). The Cesar and house salads were fine, but the side of salmon we added on were great. The burger looked good as well, but it seemed to be just your average burger. Have been wanting to try society since I see it's one of the few restaurants always open late ! 2am. Located on the second floor of the center, they have stairs and an elevator. I honestly liked it better than I expected too. The decor is so cute & has many spots to take photos! Staff and host were very friendly and welcoming. For starters we ordered the whipped feta dip which was very presentable and tasty! Never had a dish like that before, def intrigued my tastebuds - I would order again. The diablo scampi was also ordered and is spicy! So if you don't like spice don't recommend but I loved it. Shrimp was cooked perfect. Lastly we also added the truffle fries which were cooked perfect. For dinner we ordered the pesto pasta(2) and added shrimp which was cooked perfectly and filling. Very hip and bougie looking restaurant by ASU so I was wondering if it was going to be any good... but to my surprise, it was very very good! I had a Caesar salad and a pasta dish with wild mushrooms. Both were delicious, but the mushroom dish was something special. It was truly memorable dining. And the whole evening was tied up brilliantly, with a beautiful bow, by my server Brittney Carroll. Her martini was perfect. So often they're acceptable, or close, or adequate. You will not be disappointed. The first time we ate at this restaurant we only ordered appetizers. We chose the meatballs, the whipped feta and the bacon wrapped dates. I am so glad that I found this restaurant. Our experience there was 10 out of 10. Service was excellent. My husband ordered the crispy Brussels sprout salad. He said the Brussel sprouts were very tasty but what made the dish was the crispy kale. He thought it was one of, if not the best salad he has ever had. I had a 1/2 Caesar salad with avocado. First - it was a large portion and very good. I personally didn't think the avocado did anything for the salad but I did appreciate the croutons as they actually had some good flavor which a lot of restaurants don't bother with. My husband had the penne pasta and he left his plate absolutely clean! I had the chef vodka pasta. The homemade pappardelle pasta was outstanding and I loved the tender pieces of steak in it. It had a nice kick from the jalapeño but not too spicy. Perfect level of spice I thought. I do have two constructive comments- the dish needed an accompanying spoon as I did not want to be cutting the pasta with a knife. Second it was too dark. I appreciate ambience but I do like to actually see my food and to be honest it was difficult to see if there were actual jalapeños in the dish or just chunks of steak. Society by Evo has come up a few times on my feed, so what better night to try it than Ladies' night (Tuesday)?! True to the Instagram photos/videos, the restaurant is aesthetic- there are flowers hanging from the ceiling, a flower mural, the flower bathroom hallway, mirrors, and purpleish lighting. (My friend complained it was too dark lol). I'm not sure if it's all nights but they had a DJ too! Although it is advertised on Instagram that Tuesday is ladies' night, I saw no mention of it on the menu or from our waiter, so I asked to confirm. He acknowledged the 25% off cocktails (no mention about some appetizers being $3/each). Our drinks (Evo maid, the floor is Guava, and Bloody Prick) were good; strong and just the right amount of sweet. We shared a side of fries to start. They were thick, fresh potatoes, but they could have used more salt/seasoning. Our noodle dishes all were flavorful. The Spicy Zigatoni and Bolognese were served al dente. The chicken alfredo gnocchi was soft and chewy. We split the bananas foster and lemon berry mascarpone cake for dessert. The berry drizzle on the mascarpone cake was bright red like ketchup and not aesthetically appetizing. The cake was nice and soft, but it was a bit too tart for me. I enjoyed the bananas foster but my friend felt the bananas hadn't truly been caramelized, just glazed. At the end of the evening, our friend returned from the bathroom and mentioned that someone had thrown up in the sink. She mentioned there were also lipstick tissues on the counter/floor and one of the stalls not locking. We noticed an employee left the bathroom after her, but hadn't done anything about it. We brought it to the attention of our waiter, who thanked us and immediately addressed it with management. The manager who had been sitting at the bar was seemingly angry about this as I heard him yell "the f'ing sink!" He had the same employee hold open the bathroom door to confirm no one was in the bathroom, then proceeded to clean out the vomit with a towel, walking by the dining room with it to the kitchen/janitor's closet(?) This was gross to us and we felt that he could have it thrown it away in a bag instead of walking with the vomit towel but I'm not sure that anyone else seemed to notice. I do give him kudos for cleaning it himself, as that is a good leader. It wasn't until after we left the restaurant that we realized we hadn't been given the 25% discount on cocktails- we paid full price, ranging from $12-16. Maybe our waiter forgot? Overall- food/drinks were good, but on the pricier side, and service was okay. I prefer their sister restaurant, EVO in Old Town. read more
