My little brother was on the hunt for Pokémon cards and so that's why we stopped in, they had a few, but it is definitely not their main card game that they support here. It's tucked away in the back of an office park on the second floor, so it can be a bit hard to find. However, once you arrive, you're greeted with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The store is clean, organized, and the games are a lot of fun. They really make an effort to get you involved in the small community--it feels like you're playing at a friend's house. Even though I didn't score too well, I had a great time, especially as a beginner. I highly recommend this place for your weekly card tournament.

I literally just started going because it was a convenient stop on my commute. But on my second visit to this place, I witnessed an incredibly uncomfortable interaction at Card Addiction. I saw a similar story on google reviews and it may be the same incident, but I also wouldn't be surprised if this has happened multiple times. I saw the owner publicly accuse a customer of stealing a $0.50 die. The customer earnestly apologized and tried to explain the misunderstanding. The owner would hear nothing of it and instead began repeatedly calling them a thief and spewing such hateful energy at them it made me sick. Everyone watching could see that it was an honest mistake, yet this sorry excuse of an owner doubled down on this narrative he had in his own head. It was so off puting as a customer to see a representative of a business in our community failing to show any kind of professionalism, common sense, respect, or basic decency. No business owner should treat customers with that level of hostility over an honest mistake, much less a 50 cent mistake. Publicly humiliating someone over most things is generally distasteful and an in this case an abuse of power. Buyer beware for this establishment. The other post on Google got a response where the owner once again defended his disgusting behavior and doubled down further by going as far as to accuse the person who posted the review a theif as well. If this review isn't proof enough, then the lack of remorse, humility, and most importantly accountability in the response to feedback should be the nail in the coffin for this owner.

My wife and I were having dinner at another restaurant in the shopping center and arrived a little early, so we decided to walk into this great little shop. From the moment we stepped through the door, the employees, regulars, and even people just hanging out made us feel completely at home. It honestly felt less like walking into a store and more like walking into a room full of friends and family. The atmosphere is something special: friendly banter, laughter, inclusion, and, of course, some fierce card battles. During our first visit, we mentioned that our son had been wanting to learn how to play Magic: The Gathering. Without hesitation, everyone encouraged us to bring him in, and they even gave us a pack of Spider-Man Magic cards to take home to him. We ended up buying a few more packs and some other items that night, but before we even left, we already knew we would be coming back. The very next day, Tyler was there and took the time to help my son learn how to play Magic. We ended up staying for around two hours, and once again, everyone in the store--not just the employees--went ABOVE AND BEYOND to help us. We had questions about the game, the cards, the products in the store, and probably just about everything else you could imagine. Not once did we feel out of place, inexperienced, or embarrassed for asking. Quite the opposite--we were welcomed, encouraged, and treated like we belonged there. That is what truly sets this store apart. There are plenty of places where you can buy cards, games, and collectibles, but you cannot manufacture the kind of community we experienced here. You cannot fake people genuinely wanting to help someone learn, making a kid feel welcome, or making a family feel like they have been coming there for years after only a couple of visits. You have absolutely earned customers for life. From my wife, my son, and myself, thank you to Tyler and to every employee and person in the store who helped make this such a memorable experience.
