Due to the recent heavy storms, our roof developed multiple leaks. I hired Sal for the job. When we…read moreagreed on a date and time, he either showed up real late, like near dark or the next day to work on the roof. He worked on our roof two or three times, but we were still getting leaks in the same area of our roof. With his last visit, he assured us that we don't have to worry about leaks anymore and to trust him. Guess what? Our roof is STILL leaking after this past Easter weekend storm, Same area that he accused me of being paranoid of. We had enough and did not want him to come back so we hired another roofer to do an inspection. The new roofer found quite a few shocking things: First, the area that Sal worked on, the tiles were not nailed back in which can cause more leaks and also can be dangerous if high winds were to slide these loose tiles off the roof. Many of the nails were found on my roof. Second, the edge of the new underlayment near the ridge (top of the roof) was just placed over the old underlayment above , not placed over the ridge or at a bare minimum, it SHOULD be tucked under the old underlayment above it. So basically, water will just run under the new underlayment! Last, some of the nails that hold the new underlayment were not nailed all the way in which of course can let water in the nail hole. I forgot to mention, he used so much concrete for the ridge cap that the excess poured down the other side of my roof leaving a cement colored trail. Based on all the positive reviews here, I thought I made the right decision hiring him but it looks like we got the short end of the stick. Lesson learned.

They charged me $557 to spend another hour or so looking for the problem and said they still aren't sure if it is fixed. In my book, if you didn't do a thorough enough job the first time, you shouldn't be charging a second time for a job that wasn't done right in the first place. They told me overall my roof was fine and to get the valley repaired. Jeremy came out and inspected my roof. Yes, the valley did cause my two rooms ceilings to get wet but I had broken, missing and sliding tiles. He took photos and a through drawing of all the issues I had with my roof. Communication with Karen and Taryn was exceptional. They got me scheduled right away and were able to answer all my questions and concerns. Jeremy and the crew came out and went above and beyond. They removed the old roofing down to the plywood sheeting, removed any rotted or damaged wood, replaced it and painted it to match the existing facia. Then hauled all the debris away. Stay clear of this company - ask yourself why they keep changing their contractor's license number? well, it's because of the fraud and bad work and probably being sued - going with them 7yrs ago was the biggest mistake we ever made - nothing but problems with our system, which we found out from multiple solar companies that solar edge is just bad and then let's not forget that bad workmanship from this company - the owner is an asshole - their salesman Sal, oh he is really good, so be careful - their techs are awful - Right now, our system isn't working - we had an evaluation done on our system over a year ago to find out what is actually wrong and wow - so glad we have these photos and a report NOW - we've been waiting for this to fail AGAIN, to get a response from them and we now have it so it begins - So - inadequate wiring done, so our house can burn down - not enough invertors for the system we have - this is our 4th invertor that is not working now, they have replaced 3 and supposedly under warranty - well guess what - solar edge has no record of warranty repair / replacements parts for our house - we found out they are putting used equipment back on our house (since the first fail within 3 months starting 7years ago!) and they don't even clear it so you can see the history on that used equipment, that we now have a copy of that too - that's how stupid they are - we have photos of burnt wires where there was a fire in the box - and the last time they were here over a year and a half ago when they were fixing something, the invertor I think, who knows, they high tailed it out of here after they opened that box, the monitoring system has been down over a year, so we have had no idea our solar wasn't working until I got a 1k bill last month .. June, I had a 224-dollar bill, our bills are all over the place so I didn't think much about it because its been they way for 7yrs, one month I don't have a bill next month I have one, but a 1k bill - yep system is down - oh did I tell you that 50% of the places they put a screw on the roof I have a leak? NO one will touch the system up there to fix the roof!
