Total pain to deal with. Installation issues, excuses, inaccurate invoice balances and on and on. 3 months to get just two rooms of carpeting done. No way I was going to hire that company again for this next property I'm redoing. So, I stop in to Serrano Flooring to see what this place is about. Upon entering the building, it's amazing! WOW! Immaculate, MASSIVE selection of tiles, slabs, carpets...any type of flooring, counters etc you can think of are here. And, everyone so helpful. Frankie at the front desk is there to answer questions while also letting you be as you think and sort through what seems like an endless supply of choices. The selected product came in when they said it would. Installation date was as promised. Angel was immaculate, professional and courteous at the job site where this retro shag was going in as the senior owner and one evil cat were home! They immediately helped me figure out what we needed, assisted me with ordering the additional flooring, and got our project back on track. They completed the installation in a timely manner, and the difference in workmanship was incredible. The entire crew was awesome -- on time, professional, neat and clean, respectful of our home, and true craftsmen. Our new laminate flooring looks absolutely beautiful. And my experience with Serrano went beyond the flooring. Melissa in the store helped me choose gorgeous natural limestone for our bathrooms, and Angel took an inspiration photo I showed him for our fireplace and turned it into a reality. He truly took my vision and created my dream fireplace. The craftsmanship is beautiful. Empire even called the day before to confirm, only to call again on the day of installation and say the carpet was on backorder. This happened three separate times. After the third time, my parents had enough, so I suggested they call Flatout Flooring. (I had also recommended them to my grandparents a few years ago.) From start to finish, Flatout Flooring was incredibly easy to work with. My parents ended up getting a beautiful high-end carpet with quality padding, and everything was installed exactly as promised on the scheduled date. The installers were professional and pleasant, and the finished product looks phenomenal. The quality is far better than what they were originally planning to get. Then they installed a solid waterproof barrier, poured a new concrete floor, repaired drywall and it is good as new. That was last month. This week, Joe Martin send his plumbing pros, Ed Ahumada, Jon & Romero to figure out a complex boondoggle which has been wasting gallons of water before hot water emerges. They are working as I write but I have complete confidence based on past experience with MasterCraft that the work will be correctly performed. Front start to finish, Mike Gast and Juan Navarro worked with me to translate my vision into the bright open studio I have been dreaming of... As the project manager, Mike Gast was extremely patient and accommodating, and provided lots of feedback to solve various issues. This was a large project that involved removing the garage door, retrofitting 3 sets of doors, framing and finishing for a custom look, inside and out. They even installed special thresholds so we could be assured of being able to roll equipment in and out of the space easily. After each stage of the job, the crew cleaned up the area and removed all debris. The price quoted us initially was in line with competitors, better than several, who failed to follow up with us. There was no cost-creep, and we finished at the price quoted us. Progress and payment was tracked on their online job project site, which was an added benefit and inspired confidence. I can highly recommend Mastercraft and hope to use them in the near future for several other home improvement projects.
