I was looking for a company that could do it all, decking, landscaping and build/ install and pool and spa. I sent a message via Yelp and someone called me to set up an appointment. We had TJ come out to meet with us and get an idea of what we had in mind for our backyard space and he took some measurements. We met with him again and he showed us a 3D image of what he designed for us. That 3D design came out way better than expected so we decided to proceed. Every issue we had was my problem, and we ended up having to pay much more than originally estimated, mainly due to their incompetence. So naturally, when the pool was due for a much needed facelift (plaster, sandblasting quartzite tiles, rusted rebar, coping, equipment), we were dreading it. They treated my backyard, like it was their own for the several weeks they were here, then graciously handed it back to us as a basically brand new fully automated system. An Actuator for the waterfall that was manual for 20 years, no problem! I am a very meticulous and detail oriented perfectionist. So when my wife and I bought a new home in Temecula with a 17000sf backyard, we began to plan and design a year in advance. We wanted a stunning landscaped backyard centered around the swimming pool of our dreams. I wasn't ready to begin my backyard project until meeting Anthony and seeing the vision my wife and I had in our head come to life. Anthony was not only talented in design, but also very knowledgeable in financing options available for pool construction. The majority of companies I had researched and discussed plans with prior to working with Element, paid little attention to small, requested details, didn't seem to care much about the customer, and were more centered on making a lump sum of money or how quickly they could produce another cookie cutter pool to generate revenue. There were many instances with previous pool companies where we would login to meetings and the designer would be late or not show at all. I am going to break down each phase of our experience with Element Pools & Spas for anyone that needs a thorough walk through of the process: Pre-Construction and Plans: We met with Anthony and provided some key bullet points of what we were looking for in our backyard. This consisted of primarily the pool, a fire pit, and a spa with a grotto covering it so that we could use it in any weather. We mentioned some of our interests and styles which didn't have much play in previous designs from other companies. Anthony went to work on the design and the first time we met to view and discuss the design, we were in awe. Anthony's attention to detail in capturing every little aspect of what we mentioned was impressive. We met several times after this to fine tune and tweak small details, leading to the master piece we now call our backyard oasis. Anthony, a family man himself, always made time for meeting no matter the time of day, portraying true professionalism, dedication, and pride in what he does. Construction Phase: Dig day came quicker than anticipated, with Anthony and Kyle onsite the day of to mark out all the edges of the pool and structures, prior to breaking dirt. This became the norm, as both Anthony and Kyle would drive an hour and a half to two hours each major phase of our project to be onsite personally, ensuring operations ran smoothly and as intended. This was a big deal to us, as it was evident Kyle had ample experience in project management from project kickoff and initiation to closure. Additionally, Anthony being onsite to articulate details to contractors, ensured his vision remain accurate and all the small details we had requested happen exactly as intended. From a business operations perspective, Eric runs an excellent business, organized with routine meetings between him and his staff, ensuring effective communication and truly emphasizing customer service. Post Construction: From dig day, to rebar, shotcrete, tile and coping, rock work, pebble day, to landscaping; we quickly found ourselves passing final inspection and closing the project. During the build process, there were no doubts Element would follow through and deliver an exceptional end product. After final inspection, several items that were not "perfect" were corrected until we were fully pleased in all aspects. Every person that has visited our backyard oasis has been truly mesmerized by the vision Anthony and Element brought to life. Eric, Anthony, and Kyle even provided us pool school, educating us on everything we need to know about our pool including preventative maintenance, operation, care, app configuration and usage, and useful pointers for someone new to pools. With the longer county wait times for permits and inspections the entire process took 10 months which was longer than the 4 month quoted turnaround however we are very happy with how the pool turned out.
