This downtown Gilbert place is a good choice for fish tacos and burritos. It isn't fancy, but it's hot a good California beach theme. There are surfboards hanging from the ceiling and skateboards on the wall, along with some beach photos. It's was really busy when we came here in Friday evening. There was a wait for outdoor seating, so we grabbed an indoor table so we didn't have to wait. it looked like there were only two servers, but the wait wasn't to long. We ordered: *Fish and chips *Shrimp ceviche tostadas *Mahi Tacos *Blackened grouper taco All were good. The only negative is that in some cases, the prices seemed high--the tostadas were tiny for the price. Strange because the price was great for the fish and chips.

Have been wanting to try out this place and today I ended up trying it. The food itself was really good. We came to try out the fish and chips, but we got a little bit of everything. We got the fish and chips and we also got chips and salsa. We got a shrimp taco, a cod, taco and a Carne Asada taco . To be fair, everything was really good. I give it a solid 8. The only thing that I did take a bite of and did not finish was the Carne Asada taco. I don't know why, but it had a really weird taste to it and I had to basically spit out in a napkin. The taste was awful. Not sure why Aside from that everything else was really good and the patio was really nice great service ! Would come again

This place has been around a while, and I wanted to love it- but it fell short on so many levels. Very small indoor dining area, but plenty of outdoor seating in the back. Immediately greeted by the only server working, and she was great. Very friendly and always checking up on us. It happened to be Taco Tuesday, and they have some pretty good deals ranging from $3, $4 & $8 tacos. We started with the coconut shrimp appetizer & I opted for 2 shrimp & 1 beer battered mahi, my cousin had 2 carne asada and the mahi as well. Coconut Shrimp: Just your classic CS nothing special, fairly bland just "okay"...I guess the sauce made up for it. Tacos: As soon as they hit the table, I knew it wasn't going to be good...I know a good taco when I see one. Tortillas were COLD on all the tacos, the carne itself was also COLD and ZERO flavor. I couldn't believe we were paying for this. My shrimp tacos were better, but again nothing to rave about. Fish tacos were just okay. What went wrong here?! The salsa served with the tacos.. not even joking was absolutely tasteless. I asked for a more spicy salsa, but they don't have any so I was given 2 bottles of hot sauce instead. Not sure what happened but the only thing good here was the service. We wont be back.

This place has been around for a while now and I always say I have to stop by. Well the day finally came and we stopped on Saturday for some dinner! We parked in the back and made our way in through the back door. The server quickly came in running from the outside, walked us over to our table, and she dropped off menus. We ordered: 1 Coke 1 Calamari fries 1 Elote 1 Clam chowder soup - small 2 orders of shrimp tacos The clam chowder soup was delicious and I wish I had gotten the big bowl instead. It had so much flavor and it was served hot. The calamari fries were hot and crispy - so good. The shrimp tacos were delicious and you get two tacos in one order. Kinda pricey though as your paying about $5 per taco. It's accompanied with a red salsa which was not at all spicy. Service was great and fast. Will be back!

Tonight our group of 8 dined together for my college graduation. Called prior and they accommodated us immediately! Quan was our waiter and I have to say, he was an absolutely amazing server. He was attentive to each guest in our group, and had a kind and uplifting personality. Service seriously makes such a difference when dining out, and I want to shoutout Quan for making a special night even better!!! Also of course the shrimp tacos (my usual) were delicious). The crab cakes were fresh and we tried the street corn and YUM!

Tuesdays are for tacos! My wife and I rolled into this well-established DT Gilbert taqueria hankering for crunchy tacos but settled for soft instead. Wifey got the chicken burrito and was very pleased. I snuck a couple of bites when she wasn't looking. Service was great and the vibe was very SoCal. I only wish there were crunchy tacos! But the price tag was very good on the wallet. We would gladly come back for the burrito, service, and prices.

Nice atmosphere and service. Food was good but is definitely overpriced for what you get.

Service is terrible, slow, confusing, understaffed, don't acknowledge you. Had to leave before ordering multiple times due to the above.

My friend and I met for lunch at Hooked Seafood Grill on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't too busy,…read moreso we were able to grab a table and order pretty quickly. They have a pretty basic menu, with some appetizers, and then all seafood options are available to be ordered as salads, tacos, sandwiches, and platters. My friend ordered the Garlic Butter Red Snapper sandwich and I got two tacos, one shrimp & one fried fish. We also got a side of fries (paid extra as there are no sides that come with the sandwich). My friend said her sandwich was pretty good, a bit messy to eat but had good flavors. That was the least expensive sandwich option, which was already a bit of a steep cost, the other were even more. If it came with fries or another side, it might have been a better deal. The additional side of fries we ordered were good though, nothing special, but nice and crispy as you'd want. While there was nothing inherently wrong with the tacos, it is interesting that all options have the same toppings (cabbage, tomatoes, onions, cheese, and white sauce); the protein is the only thing that's different. The fish was fried well and crispy, shrimp was pretty basic. There was a lot of cabbage and not enough sauce so I had asked for additional dressing on the side so I could basically eat the taco like a mini salad. The restaurant is nice and service was good while we were there. We had gotten soda and our server checked in on us multiple times to ensure we had everything we wanted. I'd order something else next time, like maybe the larger plate (with protein, rice, and salad) or just a traditional fish & chips basket that comes with coleslaw. Hoping for a better food experience in the future!

It had been quite some time since I had last been, and my most recent visit didn't disappoint. Every time I've ever been here, it's always been busy during the dinner rush, but service has always remained quick and attentive. It certainly isn't what I would call a "fine dining" experience, but it's upscale enough and has good enough food to feel like a meaningful night out with family, friends, or your partner. For an appetizer, we enjoyed their bread and butter, which was fantastic. The bread also came with olive oil and seasonings to dip it in, which was also very tasty. For dinner, I enjoyed their grilled cod with French and sweet potato fries, as well as coleslaw. While the fish was slightly overcooked, the meal overall was still delicious, filling , and well worth the trip back to High Tide. Definitely swing in if you've never been!

The cakes themselves are big and full of crab with just the right amount of filling to create a decadent and moist cake! We also shared the seared jumbo scallops...High Tides knows how to cook scallops to the best! So yummy and tender and perfectly cooked with that crispy outer and the soft, creamy inside. We also shared a Caesar salad and one of the things we love about this place...ask and you can get some fresh anchovy on the side to add to the salad. Wife always asks for more lemon as well to drizzle over the salad. Overall a fantastic dinner for us and everyone with us!

Both were made to perfection. Great flavor and so tender. A perfect start to the dinner. We had the Caprese and Caesar Salad next. Both had solid flavors, but the Caesar was our favorite. What a treat. Exactly what I'm looking for in a Caesar salad. So good! The pesto on the Caprese was house made and so tasty. I want to try a pesto dish next time. My wife had the Sacchetti Porcini with truffle and it was light and perfectly balanced flavor. The pillows melted in your mouth. Will definitely have again. The Lobster Ravioli had a well balanced limoncello flavor and not too creamy. Cool striped pasta. Perfect for those not super hungry but wanting a unique dish that is sure to please. Steak Nicola was was cooked to perfection and had a suburb combination of black truffle, aus jus and prosciutto cotto to make it a memorable dish. I'm still craving it the day after. The cannelloni for dessert was perfectly Italian with awesome flavors. A perfectly compliment to an amazing dinner. This is a gem is Chandler!!! What a sad disappointment…read more We were excited to try this place and chose it to celebrate our 35th anniversary. We reserved a patio table since it was the only seating available, figuring it would be worth it if the restaurant lived up to the hype of the reviews. Unfortunately, it did not. From the moment we were seated, we felt overlooked. In a nutshell, the server was extremely inattentive. We were not acknowledged for at least 15 minutes which was extremely awkward as we sat dressed to celebrate, and feeling invisible. After finally placing our drink order, it took another 20 minutes for the drinks to arrive. To our dismay - they arrived warm. I ordered a Grey Goose Dirty Martini, and it was served warm. SMH. We also ordered the chilled jumbo prawn appetizer, which unfortunately arrived warm as well - even the cocktail sauce was warm. The shrimp, while large, were dry and flavorless. At that point, it became clear the food quality simply wasn't there. Meanwhile, my husband was already searching his phone for another restaurant. Thankfully, we managed to get into a new place just around the corner. After spending an hour and a half at Aqua, we paid our check and left. The new restaurant delivered exactly the experience we had hoped for - outstanding service, perfectly chilled martinis complete with ice chips, and an excellent meal. I'm honestly floored by our experience here, especially considering the glowing reviews this place receives. Maybe it was a one-off, but it was disappointing enough that we won't risk giving it a second chance.
