Been a year and I go here often, so thought I would update this…read more I have a new favorite breakfast which is the cucumber/veggie sandwich and I get it on everything bagel with cheese added. So good. But let's talk about their coffee. Beverly has so many great coffee places and they are all good. Atomic is one of my top two places. Coffee is smooth, and consistently tastes the same which I admire. The wait staff is great. My pet peeve, is that they have all these signs that say that the booths are saved for 2 people or more, and there are often booths with just one person working. Yes, some are waiting for someone, but many are not. Just frustrating cause when it is busy and I want a booth for me and my friends, I want a booth. Ok I'm done. Best sit and gather coffee place in the city. And surrounding cities.

I visit a lot of…read morebakeries when I travel, and I already can't wait to go back to this spot just an hour away from Boston. They make a great biscuit, and I love how many seasonal items they have. In October I had the MOST delicious delicata spinach feta caramelized onion quiche, even at room temp. I got there around 10:45 on a Saturday and just beat a long line. Note the cinnamon rolls were gone by then. They had a ton of good looking seasonal hand pies and tarts as well. There wasn't any seating left, so I took my treats to go. The cranberry pear crumble was phenomenal- truly one of the best things I've ever eaten- and left at room temp the masterful layers in the crust were still crisp even the next day! My husband got a pumpkin muffin, which was very lightly spiced and had a moist crumb. Back in the summer we tried a very good zucchini pecan muffin, but there were not many options left at 1:00 on a weekend. In terms of coffee, they use Broadsheet beans. The cold brew is very strong. They don't use Oatly, but the oat milk cappuccino I got was still good (strong, but perfect once I added a little more oat milk) & at $4.75 it's totally reasonable! This really is a special place, and worth the trip if you are visiting the Rockport or Gloucester area! Be sure to check their hours on IG as they close for summer vacation.

Let me say that the biscuit itself was 5/5. It was crispy on the outside and soft and buttery on the inside and it was massive. The biscuit was definitely the star of the show. We got the breakfast sandwich which had egg, cheese and arugula but I found it to be lacking in flavor overall. I think next times I'd prefer a plain biscuit or to order one with just jam and butter instead of the sandwich.

Service was friendly and prompt. It looked like food is served from another window and drinks are ready at the end of the counter. Looking at the display of treats, so many things looked so good! But as we can't try them all in one visit, we ordered two of the Citrus Blueberry Corn Slices and two Sticky Bun Lattes (iced and hot). Those corn slices I can write home about. Or better yet, post about it on Yelp! They were moist and not crumbly, the blueberries added an extra pop of juicy flavor and paired so well. It was the perfect snack. The Sticky Bun Lattes were a great warm up for the opposing grey rain sky. Sweet hot caffeine, is there anything better?

I got an iced honey cinnamon latte and avocado toast, and my partner got an iced miso caramel latte. Both were delicious and I thought the avocado toast was unique and yummy! The bread was definitely the highlight for me - it's served on a thick slice of crusty bread, which I thought was wonderful. It's not the quietest place to do work, so I don't know if I'd recommend doing meetings here, but it could be a good place to work from "home" if your job doesn't require you to join a lot of calls. We worked here for the morning but ended up heading home since we had a lot of calls today. I do have to give a shoutout to the bathroom! This bathroom was definitely designed by a woman and I thought it was great. Spacious, clean, cute wallpaper, diffuser and room spray, AND free tampons with applicators? This bathroom really had it all and I thought it went above and beyond what most cafes have.

The toast had lemon squeezed on it and personally I wasn't a fan of the flavor profile. My partner enjoyed it though. I will say, they did not skimp on the avocado! I'll have to try some of their other toasts next time. The staff was great and handed us our drinks and food when ready! Also I think I've seen people here mention how nice the bathroom is and it's pretty cute! Be sure to check it out lol My one gripe is that this place is TINY and gets VERY LOUD in the morning since so many people are here. They have outlets which is nice but imho not the best place to work remote

This casual spot looks inviting which is order & pay at the counter with painted murals, a few finished tree stump tables and more table seating in the Best Bagel area (they close up much earlier than Acailand). I stopped by Acailand for an acai bowl. Their touchscreen kiosk was not working properly, but it gave me ideas of topping choices I could add to my bowl. The acai bowls are priced from $13 (small 1-2 people) to $17 (medium) $19 (large 4 people) with up to 8 choices of toppings. I decided on a Small American Classic Acai Bowl ($13 plus tax) which has acai, strawberry, blueberry, granola, honey, and cashews and I customized with additions of mango, kiwi, and coconut flakes. My bowl was made to order quickly and packed up well, over the top with plenty of toppings over the rim of the plastic bowl. I drove down the road to a coffee place and enjoyed my very sweet acai bowl with some black coffee. They essentially made my acai bowl the way I liked it with plenty of fresh fruits, nuts, and honey. I couldn't finish this in one sitting and stuck it in the freezer to enjoy the next day. I would definitely stop by again if I happen to be driving by and need a sweet fruity dessert.
