Stopped by Kid Dream for the first time today and enjoyed it very much! It's a super cute little cafe that specializes in unique coffee and toasts! I got an iced honey cinnamon latte and avocado toast, and my partner got an iced miso caramel latte. Both were delicious and I thought the avocado toast was unique and yummy! The bread was definitely the highlight for me - it's served on a thick slice of crusty bread, which I thought was wonderful. It's not the quietest place to do work, so I don't know if I'd recommend doing meetings here, but it could be a good place to work from "home" if your job doesn't require you to join a lot of calls. We worked here for the morning but ended up heading home since we had a lot of calls today. I do have to give a shoutout to the bathroom! This bathroom was definitely designed by a woman and I thought it was great. Spacious, clean, cute wallpaper, diffuser and room spray, AND free tampons with applicators? This bathroom really had it all and I thought it went above and beyond what most cafes have. read more

Cute little spot in Beverly! I decided to come here with my partner to work remote for a bit. I got an avocado toast along with a latte and it was ok. The toast had lemon squeezed on it and personally I wasn't a fan of the flavor profile. My partner enjoyed it though. I will say, they did not skimp on the avocado! I'll have to try some of their other toasts next time. The staff was great and handed us our drinks and food when ready! Also I think I've seen people here mention how nice the bathroom is and it's pretty cute! Be sure to check it out lol My one gripe is that this place is TINY and gets VERY LOUD in the morning since so many people are here. I've been here a couple of times and they probably have the best coffee in Beverly. It's a tiny place, so don't expect to linger or get work done there but do expect to get some amazing coffee. They have some limited bites available too if you're hungry. I had their avocado toast and it was solid! The people there are super nice and lovely too. Such incredible nice and welcoming servers! Very knowledgeable of the best places to go in town and around. The toast is delicious and thick! Well worth the price and love the style. The designs on the coffee and stunning and barista is expertly skillful watching him craft. The beans are fresh ground just for you. Kindest staff! You are always greeted in the nicest way. Coffee delicious. Enjoyed their toast creation for the second time. First time I tried the seasonal labne creation. Today I went for the almond butter, honey, cinnamon option. Wow! They make it with such love and it is truly a work of art. I'm Excited to try more of their combos. Absolutely obsessed with this coffee shop. It's definitely on the smaller size, so more of a drop in type of ordeal and not so much a place to get work done. Pricing is fair! The avocado toast was delicious and the matcha in my latte was *chefs kiss*. I did ask for vanilla flavoring in my matcha and unfortunately I think they forgot to add it -- I had already left by the time I tried to the drink so I couldn't get it fixed. But other than that small oopsie everything was great. If you visit, make sure to check out the bathroom. Super random tip but it's very cute inside! read more

Another bakery where we left no crumbs. I was visiting my daughter in Beverly with my mother, who loves toast and jam. I did a search for places known to have good toast. Kid Dream was recommended in the search, and it didn't disappoint. Amazing toast with jam, superb coffee. The bakery was nice, not many seats but people were in and out fast enough for us to find some counter space. We will definitely return! read more

I'm a coffee snob, and I've heard about Kid Dream for a long time, but I had never made it in. Since I got a home espresso machine during the pandemic, I find most cafes to offer less quality at a higher price than simply making my coffee at home. Usually, I buy my beans while visiting family in the PacNW. (I fly home to see my aging parents about every other month.) This month, I ran out of beans before my next scheduled trip, so my choice was to order online and wait for satisfying coffee, or visit a local shop. Kid Dream offers a high quality cup! I sipped my espresso macchiato before I thought to take a photo, so the foam art is distorted in the image I'm uploading. The barista showed skill in spite of my poor photo. I usually drink black espresso, but, trying a new place for the first time, I find a macchiato less likely to disappoint. I'll get espresso next time I visit Kid Dream. Parking is on the street, so that could be a challenge at certain times of day. I was able to park nearby (within a few parking spots of the door) on a summer weekday, late morning. The shop is small, but there is seating, and a restroom is available for patrons. (Always a plus in a coffee shop!) On a very hot day, it was warm inside in spite of some air conditioning. The beans I brought home were well roasted and no hardship to use while I waited to visit my regular spot. I will happily purchase coffee from Kid Dream again when I want to buy local, though they don't have the range of single origin beans that my favorite Washington state chain offers. read more

I wanted to try Kid Dream Coffee Company because it was listed as best coffee shop in Massachusetts in 2022 by Food & Wine magazine. It's about a 12 minute walk from Beverly Station if you are taking the commuter rail. Kid Dream offers a variety of quality beans such as Little Wolf and Ilse. For my first visit to a new coffee shop, I usually test the waters with a latte. I ordered the dreamsicle, and was able to enjoy it because it wasn't overly sweet. I would NOT skip out on the labne toast ! It's perfect for a little something for breakfast with labne (which I learned was like a Middle Eastern style yogurt) and orange marmalade. Staff is friendly and helpful especially when I became asking questions about the beans. Most customers seem to take their coffee and snacks to-go, but there is some seating inside and outside. There is some residential parking in front of the building for those that drive. I will definitely be back to try more of their coffee offerings that's not a latte! read more

I went here for the first time this morning after being told that Kid Dream has the best matcha in the area. It did not disappoint! I had a matcha latte with oat milk and one of their sweetener shots and it was delicious! The workers were very friendly and helpful when I didn't know where to look on the menu, haha.. And there is quite a bit of seating for such a small space. I originally went to complete some work in the cafe (taking advantage of their free wifi!), however I found the atmosphere not very conducive to productivity. Whether it was because of the noise level, seating, or bright sun I don't know, but this is definitely more of a cafe to sit and chat with friends! read more

Short story - clean and streamlined interior. Small selection of baked goods, a drink menu with customizable option and a few rotating/seasonal items. Longer story - A lovely local lady pointed me, a yearly visitor, in the direction of this shop when she heard we were on the hunt for hot chocolate. I AM SO GLAD SHE EAVESDROPPED!!! Personally, this is the type of place I am deeply passionate about. It is small, locally owned and operated, and is named for a dream fulfilled. The owners literally had a dream to open a shop like this since they were kids. I don't know them besides the friendly service they gave me once (I'll be back next time I'm in the area), so it feels odd to say that I'm so proud of them. The store is a blend of merch to buy and coffee shop type food/drinks to order. I tried their moon milk, which was gingery and earthy, a hot chocolate, and chocolate chip cookie. Since chocolate chip cookie expectations vary widely, I won't venture to say these were the perfect cookie for everyone. But it was chocolaty, sweet, and filled the carb craving. Coffee and fancy toast done right! I came here for a quick bite and coffee. I ordered the espresso and nutty toast, $9 exact, quite a fair price. I went on a Saturday morning so it was pretty busy and had to wait around 5-7 mins for it but it was worth it. I'm vegan so it was nice to have a couple options on the menu. The toast was awesome, super thick slice, toasted just right with heaps of almond butter and honey. Espresso was good and side of carbonated water was appreciated. I was glad that they served my "dine in" coffee in a real cup as apposed to disposable (which I see too often). The ambience is cute, intimate, big windows flood the place with light and theres a view of a big mural. Staff was very friendly and helpful too! read more

Okay yall. Kid Dream is legit my favorite coffee spot--in the world. Yes it is basically the size of a closet, but there is an element of charm in its mini-ness. Gosh, why is the coffee always so good?? From the pour overs to the mochas to the lattes to even their decaf (!!!), Kid Dream are the rock stars of coffee. I've never had *anything* bad here--including their food options. Also, mega props for compostable cups/lids. Thanks Kid Dream crew for having nothing but quality. The focus here is squarely on the coffee. They serve great coffee from a couple of places, one is Broadstreet, which is fantastic coffee roasted in Cambridge. I can't remember the other roaster they were featuring. My drip coffee was perfectly brewed and my wife's coffee spritzer thing was tasty. Service is great, even during their soft opening. They have a limited selection of food. There is limited bar style seating inside, and no outlets for charging your laptop. I'm not lingering in cafes in these covid times but I was surprised that they would open without that planned out in advance. The line blocks the door and though it moves pretty quickly you can end up waiting outside, the door is usually blocked open by a patron, which means this place is going to be chilly in February. It's too bad it's such a small space- it's delightful inside- the entire front is a WALL of glass and around noon it's bright and cheerful. The light wood and cheery graphics on the wall are great. The vibe is awesome. It's competing with a packed café community here in Beverly, their choice to focus on the coffee is a good one and I hope works out for them. The limited space means that when we return to lingering around a cafe for work, they'll be left wishing for more space. read more
