What a great little coffee shop! I went with the Chai Latte and as promised it was superb. Nice foamy top and good flavor. I also had an Apricot Ginger Scone. Oh boy! Everything I hoped for. I make my own scones, so I'm kind of picky. It was nicely textured, not too dry but definitely Scone consistency. A member of my party had the sticky bun and proclaimed it best they had ever had! What a lovely little hidden gem! Apart of a larger building, this little cafe has such a cozy interior with super friendly vibes and great service! I stopped here looking for a little snack, and was met with some very delicious and unique sounding pastries! I went with the everything seasoned feta scone and it was out of this world! Super fluffy and the perfect treat! I was also so tempted by the amazing variety of drinks and fresh made dishes this place has to offer, and I will certainly be back if I'm in the area again. Marblehead has such a cute downtown and I would definitely recommend stopping at Mookie's while you explore, either to relax with friends and family, or sit and get some work done. read more

Great little shop in Marblehead. We went for breakfast around 10:30am and ordered coffee and breakfast sandwiches and they were delicious! The space is cozy and they have a few tables so get there early to snag seats. They also have a gift shop full of wonderful things! The staff were so nice and welcoming! I love Mookie's! When I'm away from home, I love seeking out the local cafes. Mookie's at Mugford is a gem of a cafe and I adore that its named after a dog (the same dog that graces their logo). I liked Mookie's so much I came more than once. Like all of Marblehead, there's limited street parking, but if you arrive before 10am, you'll get a spot. I immediately resonated with the nautical vibes, including the oceanic themed wallpaper, kayaking paddles, and wooden whales. There's some cozy couch seating, a few deep sit chairs, and standard tables and chairs. The space also flows into the adjoining wine shop and patrons can sit anywhere. They have avocado toast and yogurt parfaits (no longer serving breakfast sandwiches). Their menu has standard coffee and tea beverages as well as a nitro cold brew. My matcha latte hit the spot and my vanilla chai latte was perfect on a dreary day. If you're there on a nice fall day, it's a great spot to sit outside (just 2 small bistro tables) and people watch. Also, the staff is amazing. They are so kind and funny and love to tell you about their dogs. Those are my kind of people. read more

Very cute little cafe that shares the entrance with a liquor store. The staff was a delight when we stopped by on a weekend drive. I cannot comment on the food, because we only had some ice lattes; one with decaf and oat milk and one regular with whole milk. You get it how you like!! read more

Wonderful. The english muffin was not generic store bought kind - it was soft, warmed perfectly with a smooth pita like texture on top. Could they be making their own E. muffins? Why didnt it taste grainy and rubbery? I dont know because i cant talk before coffee. Very good experience at Mookies -excellent coffee and breakfast sandwiches. My only note is that a previous review called them very dog friendly. Well, I brought my 7 pound chihuahua into Mookie's (on a leash and in my arms) -and was asked by the manager to wait outside for my coffee and food. All around winner! Due to COVID, I wasn't able to go inside but food, location, and price are fantastic! I got the OG breakfast sandwich - 2 eggs, Turkey sausage, on a sesame bagel and it was delicious! Served very hot, the bagel was delicious and just the way to start any morning! The crumb cake muffin was also delicious - perfectly cinnamon and crunchy! You can't beat the price either - not bad at all! I will definitely be back to try more. Tried a few bites of a blueberry scone and the OG sandwich on a croissant - both of these were also on point! I love everything about Mookie's. Cozy, yummy, in The heart of Marblehead. Comfortable couches in the back tables outside tables in the front window. Abuts Haley's. Disappointing Mookie's seems to have lost some profoundly loyal customers that were there every single morning, with their modified hours. It's the perfect place for a Sunday, yet it's closed on Sunday. Closes early at 2pm when you have that 3pm slump and need some caffeine. I do understand the attempts for balance but people get into their routines and once they go somewhere else you have lost them. The only other feedback is ... music. There's a bit of an awkward silence when you walk in. The right music puts people in a happy mood, a relaxed mood, and takes away any awkwardness of hearing others' conversations that are not intended for all. read more

They bake some things in house and what they don't they bring in from A&J King. Breakfast sandwiches are super fresh and creative. Service is top-notch!!!! Loving the coffee cubes and new menu additions--keeping it fresh and interesting! For breakfast, lunch or a good cup of coffee and a delicious nibble, Mookies is the only game in town. There are few eateries that I enjoy hanging out in, but Mookies is one of them. Its relaxing atmosphere is as good as the food. I highly recommend the avocado toast. Washington Street in Marblehead is the best place for a stroll, just to take in the Marblehead morning, or to shop to your hearts content. In the winter, this will be my regular spot to sip hot tea and watch the snow fall outside. I am reluctantly posting this review because I want to be able to find a seat every time I come here. The best cup of coffee in Marblehead, hands down. Old Town needs an excellent cappuccino, and from the consistent (but fast moving) line, you can tell Mookie's has it. The baked goods are great for a treat and the service is excellent. The shop is cozy, and during COVID the outdoor line moves quickly. During the first snow of the season there was nothing better than a mocha from Mookie's on a stroll through town. I wish they were open every day. read more

My husband and I had a wonderful day trip to Marblehead and are so glad we discovered this gem for lunch. It was a hot day so we enjoyed an inside table by the window which was perfect. I ordered the BLT with Turkey and my husband ordered Turkey Avocado sandwich and we both could not have been happier. They each came with a side of chips and the bread and ingredients used on both our sandwiches were delicious. LOVE it here! One of my favorite local businesses for sure! Everything on the menu is awesome. My personal got to is a Boomer sandwich (yum) and large iced soy latte with hazelnut. They also have some of the best flavored iced coffee (so brewed with the flavor, not sugary syrup). If you do want something sweet, they have A&J Kings baked goods (another great local spot) Their online ordering system works wonderfully, and everyone that works here is absolutely lovely. Right now, they aren't allowing inside dining due to covid, but when they are it is such a cozy space to meet a friend or do work :) I bring any friends visiting from out of town here, it's always the best read more
