I thought all boxing gyms were the same and I was ready for a little bootcamp with some boxing sequences at the end... nope! The bootcamp part was INTENSE!! Like I actually got a workout! (I always hate bootcamp bc it doesn't challenge me) but wow. I was shaking trying to hold the planks and my legs were feeling it on those squat jumps. And the boxing was more thab half the class and it was serious! Multiple rounds of different sequences and a lot of motivation! Not only are the instructors awesome but the class is so huge you feel motivated to keep going! ANNND you're live on the Sobekick online classes that stream into gyms and people's homes, so you gotta show off a little ;) Overall it's an awesome gym and everyone is incredibly friendly. It seems like all the regulars know each other and the owners and management team know everyone on a first name basis. I can't say enough great things about Sobe kick!

The best boxing gym in Florida ! Bar none! They are extremely friendly. Johnny is the best. He is always taking care of everybody at the gym. They have the best trainers ever. Nelson aka The Punisher is brutal. Jason is insane. I've realized that if I can survive to one of these classes at Sobe kick, I can survive everything in life as well! Love this boxing fam!

Great place and classes...can't wait to go back and sweat it out

This is weird indeed! No reviews yet for this awesome place?…read more I guess ppl are so busy partying and getting hammered In SOBE Miami that they forget to review a great place like this one. Anyway, 1st of all I got some supplements I needed for a bargain price as well as a venum t shirt :)) the sales person ((see picture)) was so cool and answered my questions real patiently. Cool to have some attention to customers in here. Then one of the coaches at the gym. Big Joe took me thru the gym and the various programs they have. He offered me a trial class on Monday which I gladly accepted. Overall 5 stars. Ppl should come check this place out

I was invited here by a colleague to join a group of people for a session of accessible boxing…read morehosted by "BoxAbility Inc." I was skeptical and kind of nervous but decided to go anyways. I was expecting to be frowned upon by others at the gym like we most often are when a group of people show up together all in wheelchairs. However, that wasn't the case here. I was greeted by Brian and Dino and instantly felt comfortable. They assured me that they would work with me at my own pace and I could break at any time I needed to. I was immediately wrapped and ready to start my warm up. Following stretching Dino surprised me with my very own set of gloves and we jumped right into the punching bags. Music was amazing with a live DJ and vibes were on point. I honestly didn't even mind that there was no air conditioning. Lol. I had an amazing time and can't wait to go back!!!

Great coaches and a great concept! I am very grateful about…read moreI accomplished these last months going almost every day. I am stronger, I burned a lot of fat, and most importantly, I have more energy for the rest of the day. 40 minutes is perfect for me, very intense.

I had been here a bunch of times in the past before the pandemic using ClassPass. The biggest draw…read moreof this gym is that workouts are circulations through 4 stations for a total of 40 minutes and start every 10 minutes. This means that, for example, if you are signed up for an 8:00 am slot but run late, no problem, you can join the 8:10 am or 8:20 am start. I went to this location a couple days ago for the first time since its reopening at the beginning of January 2021. They were on the first floor before, but they have signs saying they moved upstairs to the second floor in the same building. You do have to wear a mask during the workout at present. There was originally only enough space in each station for 4 people, so I imagine they would restrict more spots in each workout slot now. The reason they are able to have rotating stations at 10 minute intervals is that there are no instructors at each individual station, just one trainer in the overall workout area overseeing everyone. (During busier pre-pandemic times, there were two trainers sometimes.) The way you find out what movements to perform at each station is a monitor with videos of the movements and an interval timer that sounds sirens for the start and end of each 40 second exercise interval. You do have to be able to quickly grasp the movements shown before the next interval starts, but you have 3 rounds to get those movements right. The first station has a long turf that usually involves ropes or sled pushes, and the middle stations include sandbag movements and weight lifts. The last stations usually have a core movement like plank rollers or supine weight lifts. You are now expected to grab a cleaning towel and cleaning spray and wipe down the equipment you used at each station during the one minute break between stations. With this kind of structure, you're sure to get a great workout and stay busy during every second! I would advise taking some time after the last round to stretch because they do not include a cool down in the round. Bring a water bottle, a towel, your mask and get it done here!
