We have had our So Cal Teardrop for about a year now and it has been one of the best years of camping we have had. We are getting out at least once a month and the trailer is just as comfortable at local beaches as it is in the middle of the Desert. The crew at So Cal is top notch, and I have enjoyed every interaction with them. Gabe and Roger are amazing and have really made us feel like a part of the So Cal family.

Northern Cal coast- great trip with our teardrop trailer!

We love our So Cal teardrop trailer. Mike and Gabe stand behind their product and have been so helpful when I decided to add on accessories (roof rack). This is a quality product!

We've had our teardrop "Comet" for six years and adore it! Our family has changed somewhat (new baby, more dogs) but we camp out as often as we can. We love the spontaneity that our camper affords as we can store all our gear inside. Love the bed, love the kitchen, love the looks, love the quality! We are the most popular campers at the campground because everyone wants to see inside! Thanks for the memories!

    this is our so-cal teardrop....

On our first visit to the shop, Roger was stoked to show us around their trailers and the production line.

The gentleman did not introduce himself, did not shake our hands, did not ask us our names, did not ask what we were looking for. We said to him that we wanted to look at trailers in the showroom. He told us that he had to stand in the showroom and watch us "for liability purposes " which was fine with us but then further told us that we probably knew more about travel trailers than he did. Comment made no sense. We went in and out of about 6 trailers (none of them had any pricing on them and none had any lights on in them and some were very dark when you entered the bedroom area. If you are so worried about "liability " wouldn't you assure that your patrons can see when entering the rooms in what you are selling?) We asked about pricing on 2 trailers. He didn't know exact prices, gave us no details on what each one had, no info. Then my husband said "my wife really likes the 25 foot trailer" , pointing to it, but said "I can't see what the bedroom looks like. Do the trailers have lights we can turn on to see what the bedroom area looks like?" The salesman, who hasn't given us his name, states that we are being rude asking to have the lights turned on when we haven't even given him our names. He continues to say that we walked in, didn't give our names and walk around going in trailers and now we want the lights turned on to see!(although we were never asked for our names, never had a hand extended for a handshake, and he didn't give us his name). Heaven forbid that we should walk in trailers and want to see what we are buying! I told salesman what I thought of his rude behavior and said we would take our business to someone who wanted it and we walked out. Today ( next day) I called and asked to speak with Manager or owner. I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Jeremy (I believe he stated, when asked, that his last name was Madrone). I told him what happened and he stated that he knew exactly who we had dealt with as he was one of the sales representatives sitting at the desk when we walked in and out (the ones playing on their phones leaning back in their chairs). I told him what happened and he said he would "counsel his salesman." But then he said maybe his salesman was having a "bad day" and basically that I should give grace to his salesman's bad behavior and rudeness as " we never know what kind of a bad day people are having". I said "excuse me" you don't know what kind of day I or my husband is having but wouldn't expect that as an excuse for bad behavior to your sales people." I said "I am going to send a letter to the owner about what is happening at his company." Jeremy, who identified himself as a Sales Manager, said "you DON'T need to criticize 'MY' dealership when I said I would counsel my employee." I asked "Are you the owner?" He would not answer. Went on to say my husband is a manager and has been for many years of Sales in global companies and he would never treat people who took the time to call with a complaint this way. The gentleman was basically laughing about his salesperson's behavior and acting like it was nothing big that this company lost a potential sale over extreme employee rudeness. It was like, get over it lady!!! Then when I was talking he said I was "yelling"....no I wasn't "yelling" at all just stating the facts and being talked over by him saying how dare I criticize "HIS" Dealership when I stated I was also going to send a follow-up letter to the owner of the company. Again I asked if he owned the dealership as I was going to write the owner. Told him I don't normally call to complain against every business that doesn't give good service but thought this employee's behavior was really bad. He said "If you keep yelling (which I was in no way "yelling") I'm going to hang up on you" And I again asked if he was the owner and he said "Bye" and hung up on me. I will take my business to someone who wants and values me and my husband and won't waste my time with businesses like this who have rude employees, rude managers (who won't say if they are truly a manager or the owner yet keep referencing that it is "MY dealership") and then make excuses for their rude employees instead of running customer oriented sales and service businesses. I would give "0" stars if that was an allowed rating on this forum. In close, You can hang up on me all you want when I wasn't "yelling"...you were just looking for an excuse not to answer my question about ownership of this dealership and once again dismiss me as your salesman had, (it was evident by your giggling and reprimanding me at the same time).....I will still get my voice heard...maybe not by your business, but in other forums such as this.

DO NOT USE THIS MAN FOR REPAIRS OR RV PURCHASING!!!!!! Would give less stars if I could. "Nick"…read morescammed me and then tried to gaslight me into believing it was my fault that he sold me a trailer that had known NON COSMETIC issues. I bought a trailer, drove up to take a look at it, was told MULTIPLE TIMES "it only had cosmetic issues" and I was sure to clarify this was the case. Of course he lied, brought it to where it's supposed to be hooked up and spent over $2,500.00 to park it, hooked it up, there's a massive leak with the kitchen sink, MAJOR water damage which revealed a soft spot after it was exposed / once it flooded for a few hours. When I looked at the trailer I noticed the cabinets had started to swell at the base and they seemed very moist, he assured me AGAIN That there was no water damage LMFAO, bullshit. But I believed him, which was dumb on my part, but he confidently told me he and the professional he uses inspected it. I naively believed him thinking he wasn't a liar. It clearly had been inspected recently and that leak was probably noticed when the cabinets swelled. Apart from that there are exposed wires, the AC / furnace and thermostat doesn't work, several windows don't operate fully, there is horrible rodent issue (this is old, not recent) spent $9,500.00 on the trailer (negotiated from $10,900) then spent another $2,500 to park it where I'm staying for work, about $1,500 for an inspector and mechanic, and am about to spend another couple thousand to have everything thoroughly inspected and quoted for repairs that way I have enough documentation to drag this man to small claims court and be reimbursed for every penny spent on this trailer as well as what was spent after to discover these issues because this is absolute BS. Moral of the story -- this sale is going to cost him money, all he had to do was be honest. Oh also... He tried to claim that he offered numerous times to help me out or to work with me when that is not the case. Our entire text chain is him denying that he did anything wrong and denying that there are any issues which is just wild. This guy is smart. He knows exactly what he's doing And he thinks he's being smart by not admitting to fault through text. The thing is when you post an ad stating that this trailer has no issues, is ready to go, has only cosmetic damage etc... and the trailer has a history / maintenance record that says otherwise -- That was your first mistake. Pro tip- just be honest. Don't confidently scam people who are just looking to buy a trailer. If the trailer has issues, disclose them!

On Sunday, October 11, 2015, we visited the California RV Show in Pomona for the first time ever…read more It will be the last. They specifically advertised on their website - http://www.thebestrvshow.com/Campers - 7 different pop-up trailers from four different brands. Out of the "1,325 brand new RVs," we saw 3 pop-up trailers. A-frames are not included in this total. Specifically, we were searching for the Starcraft Comet. It was on the California RV Show website to be "on display." Not so. Next on our list was the Forest River Rockwood. It wasn't there either. The two that I remember that we saw were the Livin' Lite Quicksilver which was outrageously overpriced. Mike Thompson's RV had probably the nicest, non-pushy salespeople out of all of the buyer's displays working that day, but they had only one pop-up trailer, the Coachmen Clipper. It was a nice, sturdy trailer, but it was their top-of-the-line too. I think the third pop-up we found was a Columbia Northwest. Stuff that was on display: motorhomes and vans (class A, B, & C), travel trailers, 5th wheels, toy haulers, truck campers, and A-frame campers. The temperature was 110°F just shortly after noon. We pushed our toddler daughters in their strollers as quickly as we could through the limited shaded areas. They were so miserable that we skipped out on the free Ferris wheel ride. I'm not sure if you can bring your own food and drinks in, but the concession stands are overpriced and cash only. (Very few vendors that I noticed supplied free cups of water.) Parking ($10 per car) and admission ($10 per day) is cash only as well. Kids & active military were free. AAA Westways magazine had a "buy one single day admission for $10 and get one free coupon." If you don't already receive that exclusive magazine, print the coupon from California RV Show website (listed above) for $1 off your ticket. Coupons must be presented. Airstream had a cool jack-o-lantern painted trailer with some bales of hay set up. We saw a green VW Thing. OTHER COOL STUFF - pet-friendly - they are still scheduled (I think) for their first annual diving dogs championship - celebrities like Steve Garvey, Eric Dickerson, & JIM ABBOTT were/will be there on certain days - you can rent stuff like scooters, wheelchairs, strollers & wagons for a cash-only, nominal fee Review #411 Yelp challenge 92/100
