I was looking for a new Bosch 800 dishwasher and due to supply chain issues, they were out of stock everywhere...until I found Snyder Diamond had one. The salesman, Allan, was a pro: well-informed, great to work with, and was able to sell me one on the spot. He told me they had just received a shipment of 80 and almost all were gone by the time I arrived Their new Van Nuys showroom is vast, elegantly designed and makes for a pleasant shopping experience. The communication at this location is not good. I had been in contact with Alan trying to purchase a very specific toilet. He initially quoted me for the wrong model and when I called him back and left a message for him (at his extension) I never got a called back. I'm very persistent. So I called later in the day and was able to get a hold of him. Again, he said he would look it up and call me back. Guess what? he didn't call me back and I left yet another message. The following day..Still no call back. I ended calling the Snyder Diamond location in Santa Monica and they were incredibly helpful and the communication with Howard there was incredible. Snyder Diamond: anything that has to do with plumbing in the bathroom & kitchen as well as related accessories such as towel racks, cabinets, etc. Don't know why, but they also have a fancy mailbox for sale. Snyder Diamond tends to have high end brands such as Toto, Grohe, SWC so there is some sticker shock when their cheapest kitchen faucet runs $300. So SD caters to the carriage trade although their customer service doesn't seem commensurate to the prices that they command. The service shown is business-like yet distant & a bit aloof. I suppose a $40,000 purchase will warm their hearts to show more enthusiasm. What impresses me here is their wide ranging plumbing parts department, which might be a hold over from their early days before SD started to emphasize high end goods. I went a couple of years ago to replace a part for an ancient leaking Delta bathroom faucet from the nostalgic 1960's. SD must retain an archival list going back decades while Home Depot couldn't help me at all. HD had no clue. Also, the parts guy at SD told me ways to make the installation easier when I asked him how to install it since I'm a home fix it retard. Peerless parts department that is helpful, knowledgeable, extensive, specialized, at times esoteric. That is the main strength & reason for me to go to SD. Also great for home owners with deep pockets who can spend thousands on plumbing fixtures & other related items with no thought nor care as to the cost. 3+ Yelp stars when all factors are averaged in. read more

I have never been spoken to so rudely in my life. I needed a part for a sink, and went to the store with a photo of the sink, and the part name from my plumber. I did not have a photo of the part or know the exact part that I needed. Instead of being treated respectfully, my request and attempts to explain what I needed were met with impatience, major attitute and a raised voice by Jorge. When I asked to speak with another parts associate, Jorge responded with "I'm done with you", and later murmured "good, get out of here". Having had enough mistreatment, I asked for the manager, who was kind and connected me with Tony. Tony was patient, kind, and was able to explain what would work for my sink. The manager was respectful, apologetic, and hopefully he will speak with rude Jorge and explain to him the importance of good customer service. read more

Bought a top of the line Bosch dishwasher. After the installation, we realized that the heater didn't work. Dozens and dozens of calls were necessary to get a new one installed. The buck bounced back and forth between Snyder Diamond and Bosch and even between the various departments at Snyder Diamond. Just an update. It took about six visits from the certified repair person for Thermidor who also scratched my wall in the process of taking out pieces of my oven. In the end, he declared that a rodent must have chewed some wires, and it is as it is. Later, I hired another repair man who Found that there was a factory sticker flapping with hot air when the oven is on.He took it off and solved the problem. read more

Our contractor told us to go to Snyder Diamond and lucky for us, we met Rob Mitchell there! We weren't sure of what we wanted - and Rob honed in our needs and thoroughly explained our choices. He had such detailed information, like the volume of water through a pot filler AND the grinding capacity of the different garbage disposals, that we felt completely comfortable with all of our decisions. We purchased EVERYTHING from appliances to fixtures - shower drains to mirrors through Rob. He kept us apprised of delivery dates, back orders and technical information that our contractor required DURING the installation. Wow, I had an incredible customer experience at Snyder Diamond Van Nuys with Jose Quezada! He very professional, courteous and friendly. Jose was also very knowledgeable and helped me pick our entire kitchen appliances, sink and bathroom fixtures that would meet our needs. Jose was also very detailed as we reviewed the contract for everything including Thermador refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, range, built-in coffee machine and just about anything you would need for a modern kitchen. Now the bathroom which included fixtures, lighted mirror and toilet. Jose reviewed all of our purchases and recommend a balance between usability, functionality, performance, convenience and price. Worst customer service. I've been a customer of Snyder Diamond for over 7 years & to be honest I feel disappointed that I constantly gave this location a chance with their parts "specialist." Not only do I personally shop here myself, I have also referred this business to many of my family, friends, & clients. I was introduced to this company when I started working in the plumbing field years ago & was told that Jorge from Snyder Diamond was a wizard of cartridges, parts, etc. During my first visit in 2015, Jorge was not working & I was assisted by an employee named Manny who gave me the hardest time to get parts. Unfortunately, although he is knowledgeable in his line of work, he does not possess customer service skills. I was assisted by Jorge & had not had a problem with until this latest incident that was way out of line. Keep in mind he had been assisting me throughout the years. Jorge was helping me with a cartridge replacement & after going back & forth with photos, he confirmed with me via email that he has the part. I walk in on Friday afternoon only to find out that Jorge was not working that day & I knew I should have walked out, but I saw an unfamiliar face behind the counter & decided to see if they were able to help me. I was confident that if I showed him the email, he would be able to grab the part for me without a problem. He told me that he's a new employee & could not find the part that Jorge deals with and proceeded to lean over to Manny who was having a difficult time assisting a customer on the phone & all I heard next was from Manny was, "Jorge does not work today & I've never seen that & to make sure to double check my email & verify that I did indeed have a confirmation." After a few moments, he turns around & says "you will need to come back & talk with Jorge." First of all, the attitude received from Manny himself is beyond disrespectful to any paying customer. Second of all, does this company only reply on one employee? Moving forward, I will take my business elsewhere. I will no longer recommend family, friends, & clients here. I completely disagree with everything I read here on yelp. I decided to shop here because I was tired of replacing my shower and faucet fixtures every year or so. I was staring at all these commercial brands in an aisle at Home Depot when a man passed by and told me to go to Snyder and stop getting these cheap brands. I thought Pfister or Kohler we're great but... since I was completely remodeling my bathroom, I wanted everything to be the BEST and to last for many years. Snyder Diamond sells brands imported from all over the world and some made in US. If you want top of the line, don't come here expecting a bargain el cheapo. I came here after doing much research so I know exactly what I was looking for. I had my list, design, measurements. I even brought my tape measure. I guess that comes from being an accountant. I come prepared. When I was shopping around, I liked not to be bothered by sales people pressuring you to buy things. The people who worked here were very polite. The guy who helped me, whose name was Willy M. treated me like a VIP. First we went over his catalog because I was very picky. He gave me so many different choices to choose from and even worked with me on my budget. Some of the products were available the same day and some had to be shipped. The longest would be three weeks he said but it took about two weeks. That was fine for me since my contractor wasn't going to magically finish the bathroom construction in a short period of time. I just purchased a washer/dryer set and am happy with my purchase to far! I was able to speak to a sales associate at Snyder Diamond to help complete my purchase. From the date of purchase it took about 1 week to have them installed in my home. Initially they said it takes about 2 business days for install so I got nervous when I wasn't contacted immediately. I reached out and they clarified that it would be delivered and installed soon. I wasn't in a rush really and they did call and schedule a date. They also hauled away my old set. Today we bought some metal house numbers for our house in Santa Monica. The price marked on the display was $1 less than what the computer rang up. The cashier tried to tell us we had to accept the computer price, and that the display just hadn't been corrected yet. We disputed this and a new capable cashier took over. Then it took 10 minutes to get it corrected. After leaving we realized that we had been told that a professional discount had been applied; it wasn't. I needed help with a leaky bathroom faucet stem and I have to say that Jorge in parts was very helpful & knowledgeable (as one should be in the parts dept, but you'd be surprised!!)! He made sure I got the right part (usually stems are done by brand & i don't know the brand of mine) and even helped me to get the new stem into the housing .. I went to Synder Diamond today am to pick out a new kitchen faucet, the old one 1 year old had just completely come off the hose unexpected and the manufacturer warranty expired. So SD explained they had a limited supply of availability and the sales man was not that helpful or interested that I needed something today that was durable to replace the last one that lasted a year old. I wanted something affordable but durable so I spent 500 plus on a faucet but the salesman wouldn't give me any guarantee that it was in good condition after I questioned him about the box being opened before and contents being handled prior to them selling it to me. He said they would not take it back if I found a problem with it once it's installed. He said the manufacturer would have to replace it. I know that Grohn faucets are a good product so with that I bought it and installed without delay, I had to get my kitchen sink back to working order as a mother with two growing teenage althletes and with the plumber coming in the afternoon. I didn't feel good about spending that much from this store, I would not recommend this place, I have had better service at Home Depot and for much less spent. read more

For starters, products are way over priced. Coming from someone who used to work at Lowe's, please be aware that there is a double price mark up. A fitting that cost 8-10 dollars elsewhere, was $25 here. My other problem was that the employees were painfully rude, 4 employees ignored me as I walked in, and I was returning the over priced fitting for my mother, where the employee clearly showed fustration that it was scratched. I found the prices to be very reasonable for the quality. Although everyone was friendly and professional, I highly recommend Ruben Diaz. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. He always provided me with the exact information I requested and in a timely manner. He was not the slightest bit flakey. He was not pushy and definitely went the extra mile in providing excellent customer service. This Snyder Diamond location is very organized and I had an excellent experience working with them. They charged $86.00 for a Simmons ta-10 cartridge that is 59.99 on Amazon and $45.88 for an American standard bathroom faucet  cartridge ( 028610-0070a) that costs $18.20 on Amazon.  They were able to identify my parts by sight, which Amazon could not do.  They also accepted my return of the bathroom faucet cartridge, opened but unused.  But still, those prices are way too steep. read more
