Fish sandwich special item - - PLEASE add to the regular menu!!
Tonya F.

Our server, Kami, was awesome! She suggested that we try the special Dockside Hoagie and I am so glad I did! PLEASE put this on the regular menu!! There aren't very many places to get a decent fish sandwich oddly enough. And the house made tartar sauce was perfect. We come here cause hubby loves the chili cheese fries and their burgers are great too!

Onion Rings

Been a customer since 1978 at the original Greenville Ave location- the one with the ghosts. Today's classic cheese burger was just a spectacular as my first one. It's in my top 3 burgers. My wife had the Frito Pie and said it was the best ever. We shared the onion rings and they were golden brown and crispy. The location is a portion of the Luby's Cafeteria that was redeveloped containing two other restaurants. This location has decor and atmosphere reminiscent of the first location. This is a family friendly restaurant but also has a great sports bar .

Oooh they changed up the menu a little bit. That's always a challenge, but I get it. If they never changed anything, that might get boring. We ten to come to Snuffer's on Saturday evenings, and there was only one time it was...crowded and too loud. I think they had a kids' party going on. We've yet to have a down experience at Snuffer's. They have a neat appetizer with half fried pickles and half fried mushrooms. Their loaded fries are also quite tantalizing. I mean to say that this place is truly at the top of the heap when it comes to apps and sides. I've never had sweet potato fries quite so crispy and good. Moving on... This chili dog monstrosity on the menu is big enough to kill a small wolverine. I think of all our visits, I've steered to that all but two times. Just the dog weighs in at half a pound, according to the menu. I can barely get through half of it, but it is worth taking the rest home. Burgers are good, not great, yet they are always consistent. The remainder of the menu, well, we will have to come A LOT more to work through it all. The club sandwich got rave reviews from my wife, and their salads are very generous. Try the sliders, though. They are a neat way to try some different flavor combos. This is a seat-yourself place, and the service, for us, has never lacked one iota. Everyone has been extremely pleasant and attentive.

Cheese fries are the best here! So good! Sad that the spicy chicken strips were literally strips with cayenne dumped on top.

Hot honey chicken sandwich... no thanks

Man they are cutting corners here like crazy, tiny portions... quality was meh. But my favorite was that it seems like the breading is thicker than the chicken

Sound dampening material, look into it. This place is freaking loud, like person across the table has trouble hearing you loud.

Betty waited on our table. She had such good energy and was super knowledgeable about the menu. I'd like to come back and request her specifically. My husband had the smoked shrimp and grits and I had the smoked fried chicken with lemon mashed potatoes and street corn. Both were excellent! I'm not in this area of Dallas often, but I will make it a point to come back. I forgot to mention my cocktail! I had the Honey Bourbon Limoncello and boy was it good. I'm a lightweight so I couldn't try any of the other cocktails but their cocktails all look delicious!

The highlight of the night was easily our server, truly one of the best I've ever had. Friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. If the review were based on service alone, it would be five stars. We started with the chicken nachos, which were fresh and actually pretty good. For entrees, we ordered the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. Unfortunately, the chicken fried steak was very bland and tasted like it was missing seasoning altogether. The sides were okay, but nothing memorable. We also tried the rib plate with corn and mashed potatoes. Again, it was edible, but the flavors just didn't pop, everything felt like it needed more seasoning or a stronger profile to stand out. The staff was great across the board, but the food just didn't match the level of service. Not the worst experience, but definitely not the best food wise.

Ohhh buddy, let me tell ya--this place is an absolute beauty, eh!…read more So I popped into the Maple Leaf Diner down in Dallas, and I gotta say, it felt like I'd been teleported straight to the Great White North... just with a bit more Texas sunshine, eh? First up, the pirogies--holy moly, these little pockets of joy were just unreal. Perfectly soft, stuffed to the brim, and fried up just right. I'm pretty sure if my tasted these, she'd give a polite nod and say, "Not bad, eh?" Then came the pot roast poutine, and let me tell ya--this isn't just food, it's a life experience. You've got those crispy fries, squeaky cheese curds (as they should be, eh!), and gravy so rich it could probably pay rent in Toronto. And then--BAM--tender pot roast on top. I nearly stood up and sang "O Canada," no joke. Now the Canadian Eggs Benedict? Ohhh, beauty. The peameal bacon was thick, juicy, and cooked just right, sittin' pretty under those poached eggs with hollandaise sauce that was smoother than a fresh sheet of ice. Absolute perfection, eh. And don't even get me started on the everyday breakfast. Classic, hearty, and no funny business--just how we like it. Eggs done right, toast that actually tastes like toast (imagine that!), and portions big enough to fuel ya through a full day of shovelin' snow... or, you know, strolling around Dallas. All in all, Maple Leaf Diner absolutely crushed it. Let me tell ya, the service was so fast and smooth, I thought I was dreaming eh. Great food, friendly vibes, and enough Canadian charm to make ya wanna say "sorry" when someone else bumps into you. 10/10, would recommend--now pass the syrup, eh?

It's a cool restaurant that has a lot of seating, and cool decor with Guitars displayed on the wall and a small stage for performers. We walked up to where you order. It was counter service and the guy that took our order was laid back. We paid, he gave us a number and then we chose a place to sit and waited for our food. We ordered several items to share. We started off with a charcuterie board that had meats, cheeses, nuts, fruit, and toasted bread. It was really good. The bread was able to hold the ingredients and was nice and crispy but not overly crispy. The meats were good and the different cheeses were flavorful with different textures. The fruit was fresh and the nuts were a nice crunchy addition. Very yummy start. We also shared the Tejas Nachos with Brisket. The Nachos come with tortilla chips covered in cheese, queso, jalapenos, tomatoes, and crema. They were okay. The Brisket was plentiful. There was a lot of cheese and queso spread out all over the nachos. It was a little too much. The chips got soggier the closer you got to the bottom of the pile. Our last shared item was the ZZ Top BBQ Flatbread. It was okay. It came with an overabundance of cheese. It also came with jalapenos, BBQ sauce, and we ordered it with Chicken. It was okay. The cheese was gooey but overwhelming. The jalapenos added a spicy flavor and the BBQ sauce was tasty. Overall the restaurant has a cool atmosphere with good service. The counter service, ordering and paying process was quick and easy. Everytime someone brought our food to us they were friendly. The food was okay and literally very cheesy.

The atmosphere is super laid back and casual, which we liked--but just a heads up, this isn't the place to go if you're in a hurry. They definitely take their time. There's a ton of seating both inside and outside, and the space itself is pretty fun. The decor is entertaining and they even have some little games around, which adds to the vibe. Everything felt clean--the tables were well taken care of and the bathrooms were spotless. As for food, we ordered the Blue Goat, the H.L. Hunt, the Royale with Cheese, and the cheese fries (No Surprise). I had the Blue Goat (no onions). It was good overall, though I wish the blue cheese flavor was a bit stronger. My husband got the H.L. Hunt and really enjoyed the candied bacon. Our son had the Royale with Cheese and it filled him up so much that he didn't even touch fries--and he loves fries, so that says a lot. Speaking of fries, the order was HUGE--easily enough for 5-6 people. If we come back, I'd definitely dig into those first while the cheese is still warm and gooey. By the time we got to them after our burgers, everything had kind of stuck together. Overall, a fun, casual spot with solid burgers and massive portions--just plan for a slower-paced experience.
