On a sunny Saturday in September, after a rousing kid's soccer game the family stopped by grab some good eats to take to a nearby park. Some of us ordered ahead by phone while a few had to order inside, in person. We were all going to order by phone but they didn't answer so we went in. We got everything from cheeseburgers to fries, tots, sweet potato fries and milkshakes. And let's stop and talk about the those milkshakes for a second. They are so thick that you need a spoon. I've had both the Reese's cup and the cookies and cream before. They are amazing. Chock full of pieces of candy and yummy goodness. It's good, old fashioned fried food at it's best. I wish I could review this restaurant. Every year we make a trip up to go skiing at Sun Valley, and every year we stop by Snowbunny Drive-in hoping to finally try it out. We've stopped by at least a half-dozen times during the last three years and somehow it's closed every time. This year, there was a sign on the door saying they were short staffed and closed early. Prices can't be better than this! I got the mushroom burger. It was quite delicious. The fries were average. I'm a fry-gal but I didn't care to finish mine because they were just OK. The tater tots I think are better than the fries. There is a pretty good selection on their menu though between all the different burgers and side orders to find what you like best. We went inside to order to-go and took it back to our hotel. I was less than impressed by the interior. It is pretty beaten up and dirty. The service was also very slow. This might have been a great place a decade ago but it is in need of updating. The drive through does not so any burgers so you have to go inside to order and wait. Most disturbing is that ALL of the prices are covered over so you have no idea what anything costs. Both of us got the bacon cheeseburgers and er ordered sides of fries and onion rings. I was starving and drove through town. I decided to check this place out and placed an order of a wrangler burger with fries. I went through the drive thru and was told to wait in spot 2 for my food. 25 minutes later (I checked into yelp so was sure I wasn't exaggerating) I went inside to check on my food. This used to be a good spot,.... under staffed and SLOW! people were walking in from the drive through asking where there orders were. Hygiene an issue not a single hair net or hat and everyone had long hair and girls with hair down in the kitchen. Gloved cook touching everything in the kitchen with one pair of gloves. Stayed in Hailey for the summer with my husband's family and got a milkshake at the snow bunny almost every week. The milkshakes are really good. Nice and thick and well priced. I enjoyed almost every flavor I got. The service is pretty good. Normally friendly and quick. I didn't love the burgers though. I mean, MUCH better than McDonalds or any chain, but still nothing to get too excited about in my opinion. Also, I had to dock one star just for my own personal problem with the snow bunny being called a "drive in." The first time I came to Hailey years ago and I saw the sign, I was so excited to see a "drive in" only to be told by my husband that it's not a drive in at all. That made me sad.
