The flavor was ok but very messy. The salad was split for us and had romaine lettuce, shredded parmesan, croutons and dressing. The salad was crisp and fresh but the salad tasted like a bunch of individual ingredients and not a blended meal. The dressing was also scant. I forgot to photograph the meal but don't feel it would change my opinion. The ingredients were solid but the meal tasted like the items were stacked and no effert was made to blend them together. I don't feel I need to return to Big Belly Deli. The staff was sweet and hard working. It is not what I expect at a deli. They are obviously doing well as they have expanded and are still in business after our last visit over 12 years ago.

Is that real butter? Not discernible by taste. My stomach sadly reacted to that detail. I might need a separate conversation with my stomach about this, but it stays that it tasted weird also to my husband! In past years I would order an omelette with cheese and it came with a bland plain egg omelette folded in half and stuffed with cheese. Maybe an eggadilla (Huevadilla?) would be more of a correct description. Not sure if this technique is an American classic (sorry for slamming it), but I'd recommend to add the cheese to the eggs *before* frying the mixture. The cheesy richness of the cheese enhances the eggs tenfold! My hb really enjoyed his half order of the two-two-two menu item (2 pancakes, 2 poached eggs, 2 slices of bacon), just the egg was overdone and not even a little runny. Why is it 4 stars and not 3?
