I have been here twice in just as many weeks. I have not been disappointed either time and most likely will come back when I am in town again next week!!! The restaurant is small and authentic to what I expect when visiting cities in Mexico. The food is fantastic with flavors that are as good to smell as the food is brought to the table as it is to eat. The smiles on the faces of both patrons and staff tell me this is a local favorite and great place to visit. On this visit, they had a local mariachi band play for the crowd with local patrons getting up and dancing with music. It made it fun and entertaining as we enjoyed a great meal. read more

The food is good if they get the order right. They have the woman who speaks poor English answer the phone for some reason. Anytime she takes my order. It's messed up. Like I say add rice to my burrito, For some reason her brain says oh add rice and take everything else out and she'll repeat back to you " just rice" and you have to say no I want rice in it with everything else. She'll say "oh so super burrito with rice" You have to give an explanation of everything you want in the damn thing. Say you get a super beef burrito, and say you want to add extra rice and no guacamole. She will say super beef burrito with just rice. Don't fucking say yes cause then you're just gonna get a fucking burrito with beef and rice. Every time I just want to yell at her and say did I say JUST RICE!?!? Or whatever I'm adding. The last time they got my order, right, was when this woman had the phone taken from her by the young gentleman that works there and he got my order, correct. I'm just gonna say this if you're gonna go order at one of the La Cabanita restaurants. Waste the extra gas and go to either the Hailey or Ketchum one. The inside of the place is bad ass, though if you are gonna go to this one. You'll have fun there in a big group just don't expect to get your order correct if you have her. If you speak Spanish, your order comes out perfectly though. That's why I always have my buddy order for me whenever we go together. #havingmexicanfriends read more

Super clean place. Friendly staff that greeted us on arrival. Free basket of chips with beans and salsa. Tasty! Then super quick service for the food. We had fajitas. Both chicken and steak and it was delicious. My husbands margarita. Was on point as well. Over all great experience read more

From the moment you step into La Cabañita Mex #2, you're greeted with a warmth that feels like coming home. The service here isn't just good; it's above and beyond. The staff makes you feel like family, attending to your needs with smiles that are as genuine as they are infectious. The casual ambience is comfortable and welcoming. Now, let's talk about the food - it's nothing short of delicious. Each dish is a vibrant mosaic of flavors, so authentic you'd think you've been transported straight to the heart of Mexico. And the portions? Huge! You'll leave with not just a full belly but likely a take-home box for later enjoyment. Whether it's the perfectly seasoned carne asada or the melt-in-your-mouth chile relleno, every meal is a testament to the culinary prowess of the chefs. It's clear that they pour their heart and soul into every plate served. In a world where dining experiences can be hit or miss, La Cabañita Mex #2 stands out as a consistent hit. It's a place that doesn't just feed you; it treats you to an experience that's as delightful for the palate as it is for the soul. La Cabañita is a family-favorite and we always make a stop when staying in Bellevue (and recommend it to all our friends too)! read more

That was my brother's birthday and Gabby was helping me, my mom and brother. And the Service was great.

I was business trips to ID from Seattle. My friend is vegetarian. So I was hoping to eat vegetarian meals at La Cabanita Mex. There is vegetarian menu and request to add fish & avocado. And I ordered today's special Carnitas pork. Wow~ huge portions both dishes and delicious! We came back to La Cabanita again next day. We ordered Vegetarian Brito & Arroz con Camarones Prawns sautéed in a unique sauce with mushrooms served over rice with melted cheese and flour tortillas and to go~ I forgot to take them pictures but so good taste, huge size, made us very happy ! Their staffs were very friendly. Highly recommend!!! read more

It's Mexican, it's inexpensive, and it's good. The service is happy and welcoming. The ambiance of restaurant itself is pretty laid back.

La Cabañita Mex #2 - This is a chicken dish with a creamy sauce. It was so good I went back a second time. - Mexican Near Me - Bellevue, Idaho

We were traveling through the area and stopped in to try this Mexican restaurant in Hailey on a Tuesday at dinner time. Every one of the staff was friendly, there were a LOT of servers attending tables, not just waiters but people checking on your drinks and salsa & chips. Very prompt and attentive service. Like all good Mexican restaurants, the chips and salsa were served first including a small plate of refried beans to dip into. The chips were whole fried corn tortillas that you must break apart for dipping. The salsa was very flavorful and had a nice bite to it and the beans were creamy with a bit of a smoky taste. My wife ordered the Camarones al Mojo, which was outstanding. The shrimp tasted fresh, was butterflied, and cooked just right with a light firm texture, not rubbery. The delicious sauce garlic butter sauce was flavored with hot pepper flakes, giving the dish just the right amount of kick. The rice was fluffy and delicious, but not heavily spiced. I ordered the Tacos Mexicanos, street corn tacos with carne asada meat, onions, and cilantro. Each taco was provided with its own lime slice and a verde sauce was provided that complimented the mixture perfectly. Pricing was reasonable, post-pandemic. I learned that there are restaurants up and down the road in Ketchum and Bellevue as well as in Meridian, which we will definitely check out. read more

Fabulous food! Superb customer service!!! I always look forward to eating there when I visit the Wood River Valley. A hidden gem!!!

Lots of good food options in Sun Valley and this surprise gem for lunch was great! The staff are super friendly and thoughtful. Enchilada sauces are homemade and the carnitas are some of the best I've had. Our kids loved it and we had a great meal. read more

La Cabañita in Bellevue has become our regular go to Mexican restaurant in the valley. It's very casual, you are always warmly welcomed and can usually find a table. The portions are large, and the authentic food is delicious, fresh and comforting. You can linger and enjoy your time, or have a quick bite. The staff is accommodating either way. read more

This restaurant was highly recommended as an authentic Mexican restaurant with good quality and reasonable prices. We paid $75 for 2 alcoholic drinks and 2 main entree plates. The food and atmosphere were okay, but nothing exceptional. It didn't seem worth the money as it wasn't truly authentic Mexican food; it leaned more towards Tex-Mex. read more

Nice place. Food is good. They give you your money worth. However service not the best The place wasn't crowded but it took over 10-15 minutes. There were only two of us. When we finally ordered, we ordered chicken wings as a appetizer also our entrees. Well, they brought the entrees first. I asked what happened to the appetizer. They were bringing the wings out I sent them back and got my entrees to go. read more

Dined here last night 5.22.23 right around 5pm. The food was very average. Waitress was very slow, did not serve chips and salsa which was complimentary. We finally had to walk up to the counter to pay as she just was not coming back with the bill. Dinner was almost $50 including tip. My dinner was $12.99 husbands was $14.99 Plus 1 beer and 1 coke. read more

All the La Cabs in Ketchum, Hailey and Bellevue are great. Authentic Mexican reasonable prices and fairy quick. Well done crew!

Great service and the meal was tasty. It was very busy when we visited and were politely asked if we wouldn't mind moving tables to accommodate a large group. We didn't mind at all, and they comped our drinks as a thank you, which wasn't necessary at all. read more

Best Mexican Food in Idaho. HANDS Down! Friendliest staff and A+ experience! I love this place

Terrible service. We had a reservation for 4 people through google assistant on their site and arrived at 8:20 ten minutes before reservation at 8:30. Chairs were already on tables and they told us we had no reservation. Restaurant hours day till 9 so clearly they just wanted to leave. No apologies, terrible customer service. I would not recommend supporting this business. read more

We've been to Cabañitap Mex several times. Food is always good, and as of late, service has been excellent. Lately, they've acquired a liquor license. I ordered a gin and tonic double with my meal. The meal was under $11; THE GIN AND TONIC WAS $18! I know that artisanal cocktails can be very expensive. This was a simple gin and tonic, nothing more. Won't be purchasing alcoholic drinks there again, and if we want to have a drink with dinner, it won't be at Cabañita Mex. read more

We were in Bellevue for the solar eclipse and decided to come here for dinner. The wait for our food was long but it was well worth it. They were very busy with the majority of people there were in a large party. I shared the Cabanita Platter with my mom and we couldn't finish, it was so much. This came with rice, guacamole, steak, shrimp, and refried beans. My brother had the Carne Asada Burrito and ate the whole thing as he was very hungry. He said it was very good. Glad we decided to come here for dinner. read more

Food was great. I would recommend it to anyone and service was on point. Thanks for the good service and food.

Long time since a restaurant that I have gone to rates a five star and I would actually read it a little higher if I could. The food was exceptional, atmosphere is great and the service and attention to detail is really really great. I wouldn't miss it if you are visiting or live here. Grew up in the wood river valley starting in 1960 and it's special to see how Hailey Has retained it's identity compared to it's sister communities to the north read more

This place has great Mexican food, I'm from SoCal and I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the first time I've not only had a decent, but an actual great experience with Mexican food outside of SoCal. Comfortable and clean. The menu was simple and with a lot of options. Definitely a better stop than the Asian place next door.

I could not believe who good the food was. We got mixed up because we were looking for La Cabanita #1 and thought maybe yelp was wrong. Found out there are 4 restaurants. Anyway the chips and salsa were delicious and my carnitas burrito was huge. I wouldn't hesitate to eat here again. read more

The BEST salsa ever! We go in and just get the salsa at times. They sell it in several different sizes. Their food is excellant as well!. Don't miss Taco Tuesday! read more

Great Mexican food with options for every price range. They have cheep tap beer and huge glasses. The portions are very generous for the price and food quality is decent. This is probably the best dinner option in Bellevue! read more

Seems to be the sister restaurant of a similarly-named place up the road in Ketchum. We were driving back to California after two weeks hiking in the Sawtooth mountains. Hoping to find someone besides us to cook us dinner. Using a common mapping service we searched for mexican. This was the top rated place, though it didn't seem to have a yelp presence yet. Great food (chicken con crema was fantastic, burrito was huge and delicious), and Dos XX beer on tap. Huge portions, decent prices, and a super-friendly staff. Going in we were sortof laughing at the idea of getting decent mexican in Idaho. But we learned an important lesson. In a strip mall with a couple of other mexican establishments. Nothing fancy about the place. Except the kitchen. If you're a Californian, here's a taste of home. If you're an Idahoan, you've got a legitimately great mexican place in your town. Highly recommended. read more

5 stars for the amazing food. The fajitas were delicious and so filling. Price was the same at any other Mexican restaurant. The 4 stars were for the service. Never saw our waiter after he dropped food off. Only 2 tables were filled otherwise an empty restaurant and we never got refills on our sodas and we had to ask the bus boy for our check. Not impressed with that. read more

Great food, great employees! The always friendly staff is quick to greet every time I come in. They have a good bar room with lower light levels and a nice big TV. The prices are very reasonable, including huge beers and free chips and salsa. I have never left unpleased. read more
