Thankful for the Yelp reviews that led us here. The food and service were excellent, prices very good. We had burgers and chicken strip lunches. Milkshakes served in insulated cups (so smart on a hot day!). We parked in the shade of the park next door, and our old dog loved being able to relax and play in the grass. read more

This place is in the middle of nowhere but if you're dying of hunger like we were, it was a good place to stop. The place is very small and we almost drove by it. The parking lot is nonexistent so you kind of park next to the building or next to a fence which houses a community park next to it. Seems to be a Mom and Pop operation but there was no Pop only a Mom! You order at the counter, which is immediately in front of the cooking area. The food is simple and I would say of a decent quality. I had curly fries, which to me, were very good since they were freshly made. The patty on my hamburger seemed to be made of the frozen kind but was fine. The burger is not large, but that was OK too. Tried the fried pickles and they came out nice and hot! My spouse had a sourdough sandwich and said it was pretty good. I believe my cashier, cook, and waitress are all the same person. No reason not to stop here if you're hungry. Not all restaurants get a home run, but at least this one gets a base hit. read more

93 Express Cafe is just about the only game in town. As a fast food joint, I'd place it squarely in the average range: nothing spectacular, not bad, but it'll do. You have to drive an hour + east to find food in Arco or get to Bellevue west and north... another hour? Nice folks. Service can be slow at peak hours. read more

We stopped by 93 Express on our way to the Shoshone Ice Cave after coming from Craters of the Moon National Monument. Craters is 25 miles northeast of Carey, while the ice cave is 30 miles southwest. Idaho is famous for a dish many visitors have never heard of: finger steaks. Thin pieces of steak are dredged in seasoned flour and an egg wash and deep-fried. And traditionally served with cocktail sauce and french fries. I'm always looking for the best finger steaks in the state. The Torch Cafe in Boise invented them and set the standard decades ago. 93 Express delivered great finger steaks. Thin pieces of steak with a tasty coating. I chose Tater Tots instead of fries and they were good, too. I could have also gone with regular fries, curly fries, potato salad or mashed potatoes and gravy. I've never seen so many choices for a basket. The workers were friendly and efficient. Great experience in a town of 600 residents. read more

It is next to the local high school, small shop, but everyone who works there are super nice! Air conditioned seats inside and they also have outdoor seating as well. The food we ordered was delicious, in our party we ordered, finger steak (which I learned is a very Idaho dish), the fish burger, and the cheeseburger. Nothing we ordered was overcooked/dry! I also ordered a Huckleberry milkshake, one of the better milkshakes I have had. If you pass by Carey, ID and need some food or dessert, this is the spot! read more

A lovely little bar and diner off of Main. The wife and I stopped by on our to Mt. Borah. The woman doing the cooking, cleaning, taking the orders and cashing customers out was amazing! So nice, and prompt! The phillycheese steak was without a doubt the BEST I've had in years! If you like a proper philly cheese you know the roll it's served on is with a doubt the most import part! And the roll here was awesome! Grilled with a little butter, just the way I like it! The wife ordered the finger steaks and I stole a few. These aren't you're typical store bought finger steaks, they are cooked with love, and you can tell! Before we left we treated ourselves to a raspberry and chocolate shake. Looking for food after a day at Craters of the Moon National monument? THIS is the place you want to stop and grab a bite, I can promise you that. It's a small town/mom&pop type of place. The type of place I like to tryout and support, it's the only diner/cafe in the city so it can get busy...give them a brake they are going as fast as they can and the wait is well worth it. We got lucky and walked in to an empty cafe, by the time we left it was booming with business. I had the Farmer burger and it was AMAZING, one of the top burgers on our month long trip. Everyone else enjoyed their food and milkshakes with no complaint. Customer service was 10/10 food 10/10, nice outdoor dog friendly seating. Easy parking for rv/travel trailer was a bonus. read more

This is a cute, clean diner good for those who like simple American food. The very young waitress is very quick and sweet. However, the woman who was cooking was rude when we stopped in. Also-for those with special diets, just be aware that there is not a single menu item that is either gluten free or vegetarian. We just finished visiting Craters of the Moon and were starving. Found this gem which was also the closest place we could find food. It is just a fast food joint but stuff here is delicious! The servers kept their smile even after my son accidentally bumped his hat on the glass container and it fell on their dishes and cracked a few.
