Katie and Matt were phenomenal guides and really created a safe space in what can be deemed as being scary to many. They furthermore create opportunities to bond and celebrate each other through the process of repelling and learning to repel, while knowing their audience and really bringing the perfect hospitality feel. This was well worth the money and the time that they give you out there - they also provide equipment and gear for you at no added cost, which has not been the case at many of the other things that we have done. They also will provide you with choices of how or where you can propel within your comfort and based on skills and teach you how to dry repel prior to actually doing it which really helps with boosting confidence - I was very fortunate and comfortable with being vulnerable and ventured through the waterfall! Cannot guarantee this to anyone, yet it made my experience very memorable and put me into a huge state of humility and peace. We will be back again and I hope it is sooner over later! Naan & Shiz were the best. We felt safe and comfortable throughout the tour. First, was a practice run on dry land. Next, we hiked down to the 30 foot waterfall in 2 separate groups of 4. Last, we hiked through a muddy trail and crossed a stream to the 60 foot waterfall!!! This is a once in a lifetime experience and a must try. We plan to make this a regular activity when in Kauai when we can do it with our eyes closed (just kidding about "eyes closed").

Need to be sure on your feet. *Almost all of it is shaded. *We all did fine doing the hike in water shoes, but they have some for you to rent if needed. *To get behind the waterfall, you climb up a 10-15 foot rock face using a rope. I'm a sucker for waterfalls. Living in Hawaii, most are crowded so much so that it's not super enjoyable. This is on private land, so all that's down there is what's on yours specific tour. I loved that! We were told they sometimes have close to 30 people on the tour, but including my family of three, there were six of us that day. We hiked down to the 30 foot first. You can go out to it and maybe be in water up to your waist. Then we hiked over to the 60 foot. That one you have to swim out to, but there is a ledge once you get close. The waterfall is massive and amazing. Getting to sit right I see it was amazing. We got to climb up and walk behind it as well, which was really neat! Definitely recommend! Will tell everyone it's a must do!

We came here to rent some. I believe it cost $10 per chair for the day (but it may have been $10 for 2 chairs). It was a short walk from here to Kapa'a Beach Park which was nice. Paddling two miles each way was pretty strenuous, especially with kids. The hike to Secret Falls was extremely muddy, particularly after rain, and we saw lots of people slipping and falling. It's not a huge problem, but you'll definitely want to plan for a shower afterwards. They do provide a large wet bag, but ours smelled strongly of body odor from repeated use without proper cleaning--definitely unpleasant. If I could do it over again, I would have canceled and just explored the state park on foot. For the amount of effort required, I felt the experience was overpriced.
