I seriously love this place! It had been saved on my Yelp collection for so long now and finally went to try it! It's a small spot and hidden in the shopping center but once you find it, you'll remember where it is. I lived in San Antonio for four years and there was a fruteria there that sold the best changitos and I have not been able to find one in the DFW area until visiting here. I am so happy to have found a spot that sells changitos! They are not for anyone who doesn't love lime. It's freshly squeezed and so delicious! With salt and chamoy, it can't get any better. My girlfriend had the blue coconut and it is delicious! We came back the very next day for another blue coconut (hehe!). The ice is so finally shaved and definitely resembles snow. It's similar to bahama bucks but I think the syrups taste a lot better and the prices are very reasonable here. We are so happy to have found this spot and can't wait to try more flavors! read more

I stopped here on the way home and I must say it was very tasty!! I got a medium N'Orleans Nectar and Kool-Aid. It was super sweet and tasty. I do wish I would have gotten a less sweet mixture but I will def be back to try more. My beau got a grape and sour green apple and it was great! I ate most of his lol. I will definitely try that sour green apple myself again. read more

This little gem we happened upon...well my wife and daughter discovered. This day I they allowed me tag along and it didn't disappoint. I was pleasantly surprised by what seemed to be a vast selection so I played safe and ordered the Hawaiian Orange Dreamsickle with coconut shaving as a topping that turned out as being too much coconut cause there was that seemed like a ton in my slushy. All in all , it's a gre8 place grab a frozen treat just know what you're ordering u unlike myself. read more

Amazing! These aren't just snow cones. They are other worldly. Comparing to other places, the prep effort and product are great. I had the changito with tons of real lime....coco milk and spicy chili powder. Bring it! read more

My favorite snow-cone shop in DFW :) This place has fresh fruit (not the fake flavors) and super, super soft snow (not the hard crunchy kind like most snow-cone shops). I always order the Changito, which is raw lime juice on snow with some chile and salt. It's always funny- whenever I order it they make sure I know what I'm ordering, to which I reply, yes I order this every time. My dad was in town once and he (like me) has an obsession with lime and sour things so I brought him in here to try the Changito. Now every time he's in Dallas- even if it's January- he asks if we can go get a snow cone. This place is a gem, & absolutely worth visiting ! read more

A friend recommended Sno and told me it was her favorite shaved ice in Dallas. It definitely did not disappoint! The shop itself is small and simple with a good number of tables -- Since it is the summertime (and super hot), it was PACKED (especially with lots of kids who were stopping by after a swim, haha). I had half guava, half hibiscus with condensed milk ("cream"). So. Good! The guava was really packed with guava flavor -- probably because the "natural" syrups are actually fresh-squeezed from the actual fruit (or flower)! And everything tastes better with condensed milk on top. :) Friends had the natural pina colada, the tamarind (with chili powder -- yum), the peaches & cream (also yum), and the mango. They all seemed pretty pleased-- :) read more

June 3 2019 9:00 PM. Horrible service. I purchased 5 small snow cones. 1 was wrong so I told them that was wrong. Instead of fixing the problem the girl asked me to make me another one for a full charge. Hello! I already paid for the one that you made wrong. She said that they made it and if I wanted the correct one I had to pay again. This place used to be good. Very disappointed with the service read more

I've never seen my Paisono so happy . Everything is customized to your liking . Their ice is of creamy slushy consistency .. a very nice mouthfeel . We got the tamarindo con chile .. a sour sweet and spicy combo we very much enjoyed it . If I wasn't so full already I'd get my own .. read more

Wayyy to sweet and the place is dirty. The most disgusting thing I have ever tasted I. My life. Straight up ice with sweet syrup. And what the use to clean of the cup sits on top of the dirty snow machine. There's no way this place is up to code. read more

The customer service here is HORRIBLE! I raved on my social media about how good the snow cones were before. So it's only right I voice my bad experiences as well. The owner George is rude & doesn't greet or acknowledge his customers, but has no problem over charging you! Horrible example of a leader for his young employees or business owner. I have been coming here for quite sometime I always tip and or tell them to "keep the change". I ordered a small w| chopped pickles. I told him I only wanted 6 SIX chopped pickles. He insisted on charging me $1.50 (full price), "bc their system will not let them charge half" There is usually 30-40 chopped pickles on an order. I told him if you're going to charge for a full serving just put the other half in a separate cup. Can you believe he told me I would then need to pay for the cup!! read more

Sharpen the blades the ice is chunky instead of fluffy ! Good spot their natural flavoring options are best in the area

Love this place! It's small but the snow cones are perfect. The natural flavor mango with the chamoy, chili, and lime is the best! The ice isn't chunky either, the pieces are pretty small which is also great. I come here often and I will continue to bring my friends and family! read more

I've been frequenting Sno for a couple of years now, but I've just now found something review worthy. My go-to has always been around wedding cake, cotton candy, & orchid vanilla cream with cream, but tonight completely changed my love for sno cones. I really regret not trying a natural flavor sooner. I got the tropical & it's A-MAZ-ING. So light & refreshing. Bring it on 100 degrees weather. I'll be storing this stuff by the Texas size in my freezer. Open year round & until 10PM every night. They accept credit cards unlike a lot of sno cone places. Customer service is always consistant. I'll be back tomorrow. read more

The "make-it" or "break-it" for me when it comes to snow cones all comes down to the distribution of flavoring to ice. If the flavor syrup all sinks to the bottom and I have to deal with unflavored ice at the top (or vice versa if I eat it too fast), then it's not looking good for you. Fortunately, every bite of my Sno cone was sufficiently flavored with no "ice only" bites. The second big thing for me is the consistency of the ice itself. Do you feel like you're chewing ice chips or does it truly feel like finely shaved ice? They don't call this place "Sno" for nothing. The ice was shaved perfectly into a snow-like consistency. I have only tried the natural flavors, which were great if you want to have your treat flavored with natural juices (as opposed to flavored syrup). Overall, Sno serves a product that will definitely get additional follow-up visits from me. read more

My yelper friend Nga N. and I decided to check this place out due to the reviews. The interior is very simple. They've adopted the chinese restaurant concept.... have the bare minimum to be able to serve their products. The cool thing about Sno is that they have 3 different types of snow cones. You can get syrup, natural juice, or hispanic types of snow cones. I opted for the natural mango while my oppa Nga N. got the tamarind with some lucas chile style salt on top. Mines was refreshing with great mango flavor. If i'm ever nearby, i will definitely stop by again to Sno. read more

After you check this place out there's no other reason to go anywhere else. My favorite flavor for my shaved ice is mango. I love it! What makes this place so special is that they have a line of actual flavors that are made naturally from fresh fruit instead of that chemical juice concoction that other places pour on your ice. Do you have any idea how much and what kind of food additives and colorings go into those flavor juices? Too damn many. Not cool. However, I believe that Sno still uses the conventional syrups for those of you that like to drink the juice if you like being chemically induced sheeple. Go for the natural flavors! It's good for you! read more

A few things to add to Bruce C's review is that when Bruce asked how long SNO had been opened, he said that they have been open for SIX years (inside the convenience store next door)! They finally moved out last June and it's almost been a year. They still have a stripped down decor, none of that fru fru stuff that you find at all the new rage FroYo places. They've got old unused arcades in the back, a little litter in the corners that seriously might be decor as well. This place makes eating ice with natural fruit syrups fun and new again! read more

Sno - Rainbows - Shaved Ice Near Me - Dallas, Texas

A PSA to the pregnant ladies- this place has a margarita flavor and a strawberry daiquiri flavor. That might be about as close as you can get to indulging and not giving your baby an extra appendage! If only I had known of this place earlier. I've been twice, and have been happy both times. First time, I got a medium Dreamsicle. The flavor was delicious, but because it's a cream flavor, it was a bit rich. If I get this again, it will definitely be a small. The second time, I got a mix of natural strawberry and natural pineapple. You pay a little more for these natural flavors, but holy cow it's worth it. I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to venture away from that natural strawberry, It was delicious and refreshing. A suggestion for the owners- the traffic flow of your store could use an improvement. Right now it's about 1 star. You pay when you order, and then you pick up your snow cone down the counter- in the corner. In the same corner where all the napkins and spoons are. And where all the tables box you in. Perhaps smaller tables would help create a more accessible area to wait? And why not throw some tables outside- it's pleasant to enjoy a sno cone outside on a warm summer day. read more

Warning! These sno-cones are like crack! I go to SNO 3-4 times a week. Great for a pick-me-up! Soft, ice shavings (no chunks) and a multitude of succulent favors. I've tried the root beer and cream as well as the strawberry and wedding cake cream (fabulous but sweet). The natural lime with chili sprinkles is choice (not too sweet with a kick of awesomeness). Great staff and prices! read more

Holy crap, best snow cones ever! I've never been into snow cones because it's just sugary syrup and coarse ice. Then I had Sno and now I'm addicted. Their natural fruit syrups are amazing!!! Mango and tropical are good but pineapple was simply perfection. Add cream and it's out of the world! If you're craving something sour then add a splash of chamoy on top. Absolutely amazing, a must try! read more

Sno - Natural pineapple with cream and a splash of chamoy. Perfection. - Shaved Ice Near Me - Dallas, Texas

SNO takes the traditional snowcone to the next level by using fresh squeezed juices and finely shaved ice (think the consistency of snow). I've only visited once but the first impression was a really positive one. The staff is friendly and the menu is varied enough to accommodate most taste buds. I was offered samples of flavors to help me decide. I ultimately chose the hibiscus and lime flavor which was really delicious. The prices and cup sizes are reasonably consistent with other snowcone shops. Once the weather heats up to triple digits I believe most of us will appreciate being able step inside an air-conditioned building to order and eat our SNO if we would like. It would great for an inexpensive family outing or sweet date night treat. It's a great addition to DFW. (Support Small Businesses) read more

I've been DYING to try out Sno after reading about it in magazine after magazine for what seems like years now. I know they always win for best frozen treats so when I accidentally drove by the other day I just had to stop in. I did a half and half shaved ice and neither of the flavors really had any FLAVOR. I love shaved ice because it seems like a real treat but the only thing that was nice about this was that it was cold on a hot day. The real winner at Sno is their frozen yogurt. A friend of mine ordered the salted caramel pretzel froyo and it was INCREDIBLE. Silky, smooth, milky and fresh - it was everything you want in a frozen treat and now I know which direction to go in for next time. read more

First time here and the workers were nice and greeted us and helped us making a decision. I got the tamarind/ strawberry cheesecake. I'm usually a big fan of tamarind (well the real ones) but the flavor tasted really sour and not sweet like its suppose to. The strawberry cheesecake was good though. My boyfriend got the mango chili thing. Too much chili not enough mango. read more

I usually don't eat shaved ice because of how much of that flavored-liquid people pour into the ice. My boyfriend wanted to come here (while I wanted coffee) so I lost and here we are. We showed up and there were many flavors to pick from which made my head spin. I ended up choosing mango chile 'cause you just can't go wrong with mango and chile (or at least I like to believe you can't). They gave us extra chile to shake on the mango and I love them for that 'cause I ended up putting more later. When I took a bite, I was really surprised how smooth everything was! I actually thought they put in cream cheese or something soft because I couldn't believe it was just ice. I really like how the juice of the mango and the mango itself stuck onto the ice. There was no juice leftover in the end! Overall, great place to have some shaved ice especially when Texas summer comes around. read more

I love Snowcones, and Sno has something even better - snow in a cup. Plenty of great flavors to choose from, though I am a Root Beer man myself. Apparently there are natural flavors, though I prefer my syrups as fake as a Dallas blonde. The best snowcone I've ever had. Try the Salted Caramel flavor. read more

The first time I came the shaved was absolutely great! Lots of flavor, the service could be better. I went this past Sunday the service again not the best especially because they had a 15 yr old by herself. I'm sure she tried her best the flavor was great but the girl didn't poor enough syrup once I was going towards the middle of the shaved ice it was just white snow with no flavor. I had to ask her to pour more read more

During my time in New Orleans, I have a huge love for sno balls. In Dallas, sno cones exists but the light and fluffy texture of sno-balls that NOLA is so famous for, was hard to find. This place is the closest I will ever get to the fluffiness of Hansen's Sno-Balls, which I have a review for. Their sno balls have the texture that I was looking for but their syrups are just a tad too thick and sweet for my taste. Being so used to Hansen's amazing home made syrups, I had such high expectations but that was definitely my own undoing. Sno has a huge selection of flavors, with a latin twist as well. I had a strawberry cream with NOLA cream and it was very good, just a tad sweet for my taste. They do take the time to coat every inch with flavor so you're not disappointed when you get to the middle that its just ice. I will definitely come back when I am trying to beat the heat in Texas while missing the delectable sno-balls that reminds me of my time living in New Orleans. A great substitution in Dallas for the famous sno-balls in the big easy. read more

I had a large sugar-free blue coconut today and it tasted straight up like DIRT. I spit it out and took it back up, asking for a replacement of pina colada. They tell me that this is just how the sugar-free tastes (aka it's just bad). The guy behind the counter has an attitude about it and makes me half of a large. I take it back up and ask why I only got half when I had a full blue coconut I was asking to change out and the girl told me "this is just our policy. We only give half unless it's our fault." Are you kidding? I think having a flavor that tastes like dirt means this is your fault. You even acknowledged it has a very off-putting taste. The guy who made it was behind the counter giving even more attitude, shaking his head at me. I finally just got a refund. What a joke and what jerk employees. This would have been SO easy to make right, but instead it was all attitude. We have enjoyed coming here a few times but never again. read more

My wife and I just visited for the first time and loved it. The texture of the ice is great (we hate bad ice that freezes together in a big brick). The natural flavors were delicious and it feels good to know you're getting your flavor from an actual fruit instead of a chemical factory. We'll definitely be back soon! read more

After reading reviews and wanting something cold but not ice cream, we decided to try this place. I have to say, I'm not impressed. The flavor list is extensive- that is definitely true, but when I went to pay for my snow cone, I decided to pay in cash. As I was counting my coins to give to the man running the register, he actually TOOK the order behind me as well and had them pay while I was counting my coins. It took me 30 seconds to count my coins but he couldn't wait that long before going to the next person? I thought this was extremely rude and off putting. Then we received our snow cones. My boyfriend wanted three flavors and we were willing to pay for it, but we were told you could only have two. He got margarita and tiger's blood, and I pina colada and strawberry. It would have been nice to have some ice with syrup. Both snow cones were drenched in syrup rather than appreciating the ice that goes with me. We couldn't finish either because they were so sweet and sugary. I don't think we will be returning. Try at your own risk. read more

Coming from someone who is obsessed with snow cones, this place is really good. I couldn't ask for better shaved ice, very smooth, and when you find a flavor you like it's perfect. The only reason why it's lacking one star is bc some of the flavors I've tried so far are wayyy too sweet . Sweeter than other places I've had (their artificial flavors not the natural ones). So be sure to try it before you buy it. Also, their natural flavors are good. I like the coconut. But don't get your hopes up, it literally is 100% natural so don't expect something too sweet. read more
