These reviews seem to be a few years back. We have had our quartzite natural stone (not quartz…read morewhich is basically reglued rock dust!) countertops for over a year (installed circa summer of 2023). Initially there was excitement. Quartzite is extremely dense and hard to work with, much more than mere granite. It takes many times longer to cut quartzite. The original cutting cracked on the machine. (We did get a lovely souvenir piece of it). To our surprise without asking, Solid Surfaces then cut the replacement in one big piece rather than two as usually done, which left no seams in the large L-shaped piece. It took a crew of five to haul in and place the main piece plus an island and two other pieces. Taj Mahal quartzite has an elegance that we admire every day. Best choice ever which we use everyday (although we do baby it to keep up the original appearance, cleaning up to not let anything stand on it for long).
