Not sure why this place gets negative reviews, every time I have gone here (never ordered delivery) the burgers have been great, the fries and onion rings are really good (and a good amount) and the staff has been friendly and efficient. Just came back from here and again, great burger and fries. The place has no ambiance, it's basically a shack, but there is outdoor seating and good relatively cheap food. Great little burger joint! My family likes spicy and got three A1 spicy burgers (it was the weekly special) and they were spicy! So spicy the whole restaurant, which is fairly tiny, got watery eyes and itchy throats when the chefs started tossing our orders on the grill. Sorry guys!! The burgers were great and the fries perfect! My younger brother lives in the CU dorms and he was happy to know good burgers were in walking distance :) One star off for really bad parking. The two sloppy looking employees had the music turned up loud enough that I couldn't hear anything that was said. The dry burger I received after a 10 minute wait, was charred with a burnt bun but thankfully the little bit of cheese made it edible. I'm glad I chose not to include a tip when I payed. When Snarfburger opened, their food was excellent and I would have recommended hem to my friends without hesitation. However, tonight was very disappointing and I will not be returning unless the qualify of food and service change. My SO also wrote a review, and posted some photos of our "burgers" My SO and I went on a Friday evening - no line, only 1 couple waiting, and 4 staff behind the counter. Our cashier was courteous and professional while we ordered. The food handling behavior of the staff was unsanitary and unprofessional - licking fingers before putting on gloves and eating bites of sandwiches right over the expo station while prepping food. We waited for at least 15 minutes and started wondering where our food was. I watched as the staff continued to eat at the expo station, gossip, and fiddle with the store music. Suddenly, a staff member picked up a paper bag in front of him and said, "Who's is this?" They all seemed confused, and one of the staff said, "Oh there are two burgers in here." I quickly walked up and told them they were ours (we were the only people in the store who were waiting for food), grabbed the bag, and walked out the door. The burgers themselves were very disappointing. I ordered a veggie burger with everything, and my SO ordered a burger with bacon and everything. Both of our burgers were cold. Mine had about a pinch of shredded lettuce, half a slice of cheese that wasn't even melted, and floppy onions. My SO's burger had a mysterious extra piece of meat stacked in top and the entire burger was crumbling. No thanks, snarfburger. I am a huge fan of Snarfs sandwiches, so I was excited to see Snarfburger for the first time when I moved to Boulder! This excitement quickly died when I stepped into a swarm of flies. gross and disappointing :/. I felt hesitant with every bite as I expected a crunch of maggots lol. I will not be back, and often advise my friends against visiting because of this experience. I'm from CA, so have been to In and Out. So like others mentioned, perhaps this place was that simple burger shack. Well, it's that, but the burgers suck. While I was chewing through mine, I kept finding bits that weren't meat. Gives real meaning to advertising which says 'All meat pattie'. Anyways, the bun and toppings weren't anything to complain about, esp for the price. But the meat, ick. I can only imagine that the fries and stuff are pretty unremarkable as well. Went to Snarfburger the day they opened. Or is it Snarf Burger? I see reviews for both versions of the name. Somebody has something to straighten up. Me and the spouse and the kid all enjoyed our food. I would rate the menu as simple and satisfying. I thought the prices were reasonable ($3.75 for a single, $5.25 for a double), but I have no idea what burger prices are like in Boulder, or the quality of other places. But since I'm a burger aficionado, I would find the burgers at Snarf to be of similar preparation and quality as In-N-Out or maybe Johnny Rockets, with a step up for the hot sauce -- which made it stand out a little. Fries were crisp and yummy and quickly consumed by the picky kid. It's cute and fun and the service is very good. I have also never been to another Snarf operation, so I can't comment on the differences. Also offers: veggie burgers, hot dogs with cheese and bacon, fried bologna with cheese and mustard, and grilled cheese and BLTs. What's not to love? I would go back there when I return to the big square state. I avoid Boulder for the most part, because I find the town to be a provincial form of Berkeley. I even prefer the Whole Foods in Fort Collins over the big one in Boulder. But this is a good burger. I hope the place is a rousing success. read more

I had lunch here for the first time. The woman at the register was sweet and very professional. I was a little scared as the "cooks" weren't in proper attire: one girl had on hello kitty sweat pants with a tank and exposed midriff, for some reason that just did not seem appropriate nor sanitary. The food was very disappointing. The burger was a hot mess, literally. I couldhave made a better burger at hom and I wasn't aware, but they put something spicy in the mayo that did not agree with my stomach, I would have skipped it had I known. My onion rings were burnt and super greasy. Needless to say I wish I had just gone to Wendy's. Snarf burger is a good burger place that is quick, cheap and will definitely satisfy your burger craving. This is your typical old school burger joint with very little seating inside and made for you to get your burgers take out. They have delicious burger and fries that are a bit on the small side, but nonetheless are good. You can choose your toppings and add a patty or bacon on your burger for an extra charge, but my favorite thing here is the hot pepper mix. Snarf burger hot pepper mix is delicious and is the perfect topping to one of their burgers. It's a mix of pickled peppers and chilies that has a sweet and spicy taste to it that makes anything taste better. Best of all you can buy their pepper mix jarred up and take it home which is a nice touch. Overall snarf burger is your run of the mill burger place that is quick and affordable but doesn't do anything to push the envelop on the traditional burger establishment. I'd normally give them a 3 but because of those hot peppers I'm gonna raise them to a 4 because they're so damn good. read more

We were staying at BaseCamp right next door and we love a laid back burger joint. We had no interest in eating at any touristy places so my son grabbed a burger and we ate outside on a beautiful day. This place is the real deal, no pre-made frozen patties; fresh burger on a toasted potato roll with the toppings. My son's only regret was not getting the double patties. Decent enough burgers, unfortunately everytime that I call past 3pm to get a pickup order they either ignore the call or turn the phone off. Many times have I still gone and ordered a to go order there are maybe 3 people in line. If that is too much volume for them to handle then maybe they should hire someone who can throw down more than 4 burgers on that flat top. read more

I went into try this place that I had heard so much about. I have never wrote a review on any restaurant before. After eating here I knew I had to! The restaurant was filthy and when I told them about the bathroom the lady told me she didn't have time to check it. My burger was cold when it got to me. I don't eat meat so I should start off by saying this review is based solely off their meat-free menu. However, their veggie burger is the most satisfying of "greasy-ish" veggie burgers I have ever had. Definitely the place to go if you are craving a burger but don't want the meat or the healthy sprouted type of veggie sandwich. The patty is similar to a black bean patty but oh so perfectly crispy, and yet it melts in your mouth. Perfect bun and just incredible when fully loaded with the american cheese, shredded lettuce, pickles, mustard, ketchup. I add the snarf peppers too. Fries are solid as well. We decided to stop at Boulder on New Year's Day which meant there weren't really any places open to eat - Snarfburger was right next to our hotel and so we decided to walk over to bring the burgers back to our hotel room. The two girls working didn't greet us, which was whatever, but while we were waiting for our food, one of them said to the other, "Isn't it annoying when you get ready for closing and then all of a sudden there's a rush of customers?" Look, I get it. I've had the same conversations with my co-workers in past work places, but never in front of someone waiting for their food. I know it sucks to work on New Year's Day, but it's not like we arrived ten minutes before they closed. We got whatever the regular burger is, a strawberry milkshake, and a custard swirly thing (like a blizzard. Everything was fine, but nothing too special. All though we don't live in Colorado any longer, our memory puts Snarf Burger in a class by itself. We are kind of burger experts and have had burgers all over the world. Snarf burgers may not look like much and they come from an unassuming place, but they carve a place out in your culinary memory, like few burgers can. The staff has always been energetic, personable, and efficient. Definitely one of the best fast food burgers we have ever had. There is just something unique and awesome about their hot sauce.
