The first time I called them, a toilet in my house had a small leak, so Snappy rooter came out and fixed it by replacing the ring. They were friendly, courteous and explained what they did and why they did it, so I called them again when I had another problem. This time, it was early March and the sprinkler pipes outside were leaking, so they replaced a pipe connection in the sprinkler system. There was also a pressure problem in the sprinklers, but after they changed the pipe, everything was fixed. Overall, I think they did a great job. read more

These guys have come to my house on several occasions to fix bathroom sinks, broken sewer lines and the more than occasional clogged pipe. Having a home built in the 1920s, you learn to expect something BIG -and usually expensive- to happen at any time. Having the comfort in knowing that I can call someone who will 1) fully investigate what is happening, 2) provide me with all the options on how to fix the issue, and 3) fix the issue at a more then reasonable fee, is absolutely priceless! I completely trust these guys and the work they do. They don't mess around and look for ways to charge for unnecessary work. EVERY time they have come to my house, the cost to fix the issue has always been well below their original quote, and far under the bids I have received from competing plumbers whom I have had come fix similar plumbing issues prior to discovering Snappy Rooter. If you have plumbing problems and you don't ask these guys for a quote, you must have time, money and common sense to burn. I completely recommend Mike and his crew, as do most people on here. I called more than 10 companies for a quote just for a simple job. Most companies said that they can't give me a quote because they have to see it to know the problem. I understand that, but because I have a handyman to look at it already, he told me the problem was due to my main sewage line was stuck. I described the problem to them and explained to them that I don't need a free estimate, I need someone just come out today and fix the problem, and I need to know roughly how much that'll cost! ( I do not want someone come out and tell me it's going to be more than $200 after all the time spent looking at it, and I'll have to decide if I want it fixed or find someone else to come out and look at the problem again.) Snappy Rooter quoted me the best price out of all the companies I called and fixed the problem within 30 minutes. I really hate the hassle of having couple companies out and do free estimates because I already kind of know what the problem was. If I could give these guys a 10 star rating, I would. We suddenly had a plugged up sewer line, living in East Sac with lots of trees around. I called Mike, and he said he would be here that afternoon. Mikes crew headed by Richard arrived right on time after a 10 minute heads-up call. They tried to unblock the plug, but could not get thru our old orangeburg pipe. They went to a spot that rotorooter unplugged 12 years before, dug down till they found the old pipe. Long story shout they pulled out 2 8-10 feet sections of roots where the pipe collapsed. As the rain started, they covered it over, till they could get back today to finish the job. 4 guys headed by Mike arrived at 9:30 as scheduled, after another we are on our way call. Buy 1:30 they had pulled out 70 feet of old pipe, installed new plastic ABS pipe, and put in a new access point. They cleaned everything up, replaced all the yard rock and benches, and hauled away all the old pipe. We are very pleased wih their work, their friendliness, knowledge, and all done for a very reasonable price. We will not use any other plummers in the future, they are terrific. Called very late Tuesday and left a voicemail. Got a return call Wed morning to set up my appt., was set up for between 11-12 Thurs. Guys showed up at 10:50am!! Nice!! They even apologized for showing up a little early. Got my main trap line unclogged in under 5 minutes. Even tested my washer without asking to make sure water drained properly. Again, Nice!!! Our home was built in the 1950's. It's a charming older home with charming older pipes. Every few years the main sewer line gets clogged. Perhaps the Family Thanksgiving Dinner at our house was too much for the pipes to handle. My Uncle Carl spent a lot of time on the commode. Yikes! We were having troubles with the washer/dryer backing up and water seeping out too. Do we call Straightline Plumbing to rip us off again? Should we go with Rooney Plumbing which charged us $700 to fix a leak? We decided to roll the dice and go with Snappy Rooter. We found them in the Pennysaver...a couple of affable young men who seemed to know what they were doing. They unclogged the main drain just like that. Good job Snappy! Then they had to tackle the annoying washer drain which was probably clogged with gunk, lint, and Snuggles The Fabric Softener Bear. They managed to "snake" the drain through the roof. Out came Snuggles and a bunch of greasy gunk. Final cost: $91.00 Good job, Snappy! read more

I called Snappy Rooter based on Greg B and Sarah S's review and I was not dissapointed...thanks guys! I called them at 10am, they said they would be over between 1-3pm. They showed up at 2pm and cleared the drain in 30 minutes. The best part was the 2 guys look like kids but worked like pro's. I've had rooters come out several times and none of them figured out where the trap was outside so they all snaked under the kitchen sink. These guys took the time to probe my front and back yard for the pipes and found the trap in 15 minutes burried a foot down under a bush. They charged about $55 to snake the trap and an extra $20 for having to dig down and under that bush. All places will charge more ($130) if they have to snake from the roof (apparently there are sewage vent pipes that go thru your house up onto the roof. You can find them in the Penny Saver too. They were nice and friendly and didnt mind me looking over their shoulders. Great Job Snappy! read more

Believe the hype. Best plumbing company in Sacramento and I should know - I own a house built in 1907 that has required the assistance of literally fifteen to twenty different plumbers in the past six years. Out of allllll the plumbers I've met, Snappy is #1 in my books. I had a water back-up problem for five years. The pipe needed to be roto-rootered two to three times a year. Before Snappy, none of the plumbers told us how we could fix it permanently, despite our vocal frustrations. We were usually told, "you'll need to replace the entire line. It'll be really expensive." None of those plumbers even took five minutes to figure out the "root" of the problem. Nor did they provide an estimate for repair even though our house was very familiar to a few of the companies. After having the line roto-rootered three times in one in a half months, I called Snappy. The owner and his assistant came out and within five minutes of investigation, discovered the problem and a solution. What they discovered was an old DIY job gone wrong. Apparently some cheapskate inserted a new washing machine pipe into an old clay pipe and then dumped cement on the thing. Anyway, roots caused havoc. Long story short, Snappy broke the concrete, removed the old stuff, and inserted the new pipe. All for $500. We have not had a problem since. Best plumber in Sacramento hands down. Mike the owner, I'm convinced is the last honest plumber in America. He was straight up and honest with me from the start. He gave me the "cheap" option first but let me know that I will have problems down the line but he'll get me up and running now. But in the future problems will arise. He also have me the "pricer" option. More work, more material, longer time. But I'll never have this problem again as long as I'm breathing. It was nice to have a plumber give me the option of not spending a ton of money. He didn't try and sell me the pricer option, he just let me know straight up with what we were dealing with. I went with the permanent fix. The guys he had working with him, especially Richard were curtious and polite and very respectful. I called because of a back up of the only two toilets we have in our home. They were knowledgable enough to give a general troubleshoot over the phone then pricing for two options. Well its been about 8 years since my last review for these guys and they've actually been to the house a few times since then, so I think it's time for another review. About 3 weeks ago, we started smelling a bad smell that seemed to be coming from under our 1959 built house. I also knew there was a drain pipe out front that was constantly needing unclogging due to tree roots. So, I called Mike and he told me if I dug and exposed the pipes out front , it would save me a bunch, and He'd send Richard out to take a look. So, I exposed the pipe joint all around and Richard came out on the scheduled date and fixed it. Also, before backfilliing he ran their camera down the drain, and found another connecting joint with tree roots in it. So he located the joint for me, and I started digging away. In the mean time, Richard crawled under the house and found an old pipe with a 4" long hole that was leaking shower and washer drain water under the house and causing a smell and who knows what else. Anyway, long story short, Richard came back on Saturday, and replaced all the bad pipes and connections under the house, and fixed the bad joint in the front yard for a very reasonable price. These guys are Great, and are the first ones I call and recommend to anyone. They're not just good workers, they're Good people! I've never felt Ripped off when they've done work for me. They've been that way since I first used them in 2010. I'll continue to use them and if you need a good honest plumber, give them a call. read more

These guys were great. We called them on Monday morning after having the washing machine drain overflow/backup on a Sunday night. Had a plumbing emergency yesterday at my business so I looked on Yelp for a good plumber and was drawn to Snappy Rooter by their great reviews. Called them at 11 and the guy on the phone said they would be out between 2 and 4. Wow- fast! He also gave me an estimate on the phone of $65 - cheap, too! The guy showed up at 3 and after showing him what the problem was, I left him to the job. About 15 minutes later he came in and told me that he was not really able to do the sort of commercial work I needed but offered to give me a recommendation of a guy that does. He gave me the number and then I told him to come inside after he buttoned everything up, and I would write him a check. He just waived his hand at me and said no charge! Can you believe it? Not knowing a trust worthy plumber, I turned to Yelp to find a hopefully reliable one. Mike from Snappy Rooter is straight-forward, no-nonsense, reliable, very skilled and very reasonably priced. He replaced our main water line and added a clean-out to our sewer line after scoping it and getting the all-clear. He went out of his way to show what he was doing and why. He saved us quite a bit of headache AND money. Mike IS Snappy Rooter - he does his own estimates and work, unlike the company we originally hired, which we had reluctantly hired because we were rushing to do a new patio and needed the underlying plumbing lines to be done ASAP, and Mike was busy on that particular day. This company almost charged us for unnecessary work and dug up our lawn excessively with no concern for the sod. We sent them packing, halting any progress, and called Mike, who was able to come out the following day and do a perfect job for less than 1/2 the cost of the other guys. Mike also coordinated his work with the patio guy and got every thing done in one day! Mike dug up what little lawn he needed to dig, saved the overlying sod and put it all back after he was done. After returning from a week of camping the utility sink to the laundry decided "no more!" and totally stopped draining when it was time to do laundry. The kitchen drain is its evil twin and the two alternate in slow draining mischief. It was the 4th of july weekend so I decided to wait until Monday to call Snappy per my bro's recommendation. It wasn't that big of an emergency though the laundromat was an experience... The guy who answered the phone Monday afternoon offered to be at the house immediately, the problem was I wasn't home so I scheduled for Tuesday. Richard showed up within the 2 hour window and after snaking the drain and the clean out successfully busted what was a very stubborn clog. As he worked we asked about the worst case scenarios if the clog wouldn't break up but Richard said not to be too alarmed yet, he didn't want us to worry. I think it took a better than an hour for the very reasonable price of $65.50 to exorcise the evil clog. He recommended having the main trap cleaned out periodically, 6-12 mo which we will do. The house is 50 years old, old iron pipes, we've been lucky up to this point that we haven't needed to call a plumber. I also had him look at the hot water heater as it is up in years but he said the old ones have greater longevity than the newer ones and as long as it was still kicking out hot water to let it be. He gave a quote for replacement of the water heater along with bringing the fixtures up to code and haul away of the old one. You can be sure that we'll be calling him back for this and other plumbing services. Richard's professonalism and honesty is a credit to the company and to all tradespeople earning an honest living.
