I have called Snappy Rooter for 3 plumbing issues and for two of those issues, they came over, evaluated the problem, provided an estimate and explanation, and then quickly carried out the repairs. Just what you want from a plumber. For the third issue, the gentleman I spoke with (Mike, I believe) suggested I try fixing it myself, as it was minor. I explained I had tried and was unable to fix it. He asked me a couple questions about the broken sink faucet and tool I was using. He said they could come out and fix it no problem but he advised me to get a different kind of tool and give it another shot on my own. If I could fix it on my own it would save me a couple hundred bucks. I got the tool he recommended at a very affordable price and was able to resolve my faucet issue in minutes. By far the cheapest, most reasonable guys in town. After buying a house last year, we needed to replace the sewer line. Just had them install a sump pump and also replace some of pipes (which I vaguely knew needed to be replaced but when they were assessing the sump pump situation, they noted that those were leaking). I don't have any technical plumbing know how, but from what I understand, they were able to connect the sump pump to the new pipes so that the lake of water under our house during the rain season flows through to the wastewater pipes, and it has a valve so that it won't back up to our sinks or anything. Mike/Snappy Rooter has been my go to plumber for the past 5 years. I was desperate to have someone unclog my bathtub after business hours and knew Mike would not call me back until 8am the next day so I searched google for another plumber. This other plumber came out and could not unclog the drain from the bathtub. He crawled under the house to report that I had a leak and would have his supervisor come out 8:30 the next morning to give me options and prices. Well I left Mike a message that evening and sure enough he called me just after 8am. I explained to Mike what the first plumber had told me and Mike assured me he could unclog the drain and was able to come out early afternoon. I went ahead and listened to the the supervisor from the first company reassess the situation and he gave me 3 options ....good option for almost $7,000, better option for $13,000 and the best option totaled over $17,000 which all included a military discount. So now Mike and his son Joey come out at 2pm and unclogged the drain within 20 minutes without having to crawl under the house. First he ran the snake through the bathtub drain and when that didn't work, he ran the snake through the pipe under the bathroom sink and there was the culprit ... a big glob of all my daughter's hair!! Our sewer line from the house to the street was badly damaged by tree roots. Roto-Rooter came out and quoted us $10k to replace and said it could take several days. It's taken me nearly a year to write this, because I'm lame, but here goes. These quys came in at about a third of what another company, (one who specializes in trenchless replacements, if that's any clue) quoted. They used premium parts, and staffed the job appropriately (there were about 8 guys in my backyard that day). All in all, they dug up and replaced ~80 feet of sewer and water main, and replaced them in ONE DAY. Got there in the morning, left at night. There was some disturbance to the soil, but that's hard to avoid. The guys were super professional, honest, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. THANK YOU! I called Mike at Snappy Rooter at a friend's recommendation. I had a stupid little problem, but hours of efforts and YouTube videos had gotten me nowhere. A little Pyrex dish got lodged in my sink drain mouth, and it wouldn't budge for love, money, WD-40, duct tape, or any of my other efforts. Unlike other plumbers I had called, Mike didn't want to have to charge me a service call for this, so he talked me through getting it out by tapping a tiny paring knife down between glass and sink with the handle of a screwdriver (with a rag covering it in case of flying shards). It slightly cracked the bowl, but I was able to get it out in one piece in seconds. No broken glass in my dispoaal. No charge. He could have come out like the others offered and charged me a bundle, but instead he helped me do it myself and save me a lot of money. We had a leak between the water main and our house. Another plumbing company with the fancy trucks you see all over town came out to provide an estimate. They told us that our pipe was "galvanized steel" and would have to be trenched out and replaced at a cost of $6500. I called Snappy Rooter and they were out the following day. They immediately noticed that we had copper pipe running into the house which likely meant that we did not have old galvanized steel running in from the main. Of course, they were correct. They identified the leak, dug out the broken PVC pipe and replaced it the same afternoon for less than a tenth of the other company's estimate. I would recommend them "all day long." So after calling 5 star rated Mario....etc. (who did a good job for me in the past) I was quoted about 7k to replace all the piping inside my home, and anther 3-4k to replace the pipe to the city main outside my house in the backyard. Seeking another bid I called Mike. He instantly recognized the fact that the city main line was not in my backyard, but out in the ally. Considering it ran under a building, replacing it is not an option. He also showed me that I can have the city connect to another main in the front of my house if it is ever necessary. He then showed me there was no need to replace half the pipes that Mario wanted to replace as they were not the galvanized piping I was looking to replace. He quickly isolated just the piping that needed to go. He charged me $2,500 and saved me a bundle. No more galvanized pipes that are 100 years old. He also replaced my main valve, and did excellent work. I know I will call when I eventually get a permit to move my main to the front of the house.
