Very disappointing second experience. I had two very different experiences at this salon. I should also not both times we're walk-ins around 1pm and they were busier the second time I went. The first time I went, I had a great experience with my technician. She took the time to understand what I wanted and I left very happy with my nails! They were beautiful and this place was close to my boyfriend's house, so I got excited and wanted to start coming back regularly. Unfortunately I was very clumsy that week and broke two of my beautiful nails -- my index finger and thumb. So I went in again on my day off, said hello and checked in, picked out my color from before (thankfully I remembered!), and sat patiently in the corner on my phone for them to be ready for me. (I should also note that I literally had nothing to do on my day off, so I could have waited an hour and I wouldn't have cared in the slightest! I also work in the service industry and understand how hectic times can be and also how great it is this store is busy with business again). A technician told me to follow her back so I did so. I imminently was under the impression that she did not want to see me as she talking to a client that has already booked an appointment with her. She told her client that she would fix my nails quickly and be right with her. It seemed awkward for both myself and her other customer, as we were sitting right next to each other. The technician was very thorough with checking with her regular client about how she was doing and if she needed anything and what she wanted done. She did not as me any of these questions, which made me feel extremely unwelcome. I sat quietly and waited for her to complete her work. The technician then told me when we were almost done that "it was not her job to do my nails because she already had an appointment right now." (This is word-for-word what she told me). This shocked me to hear and made me very uncomfortable as I did not understand what I had done wrong, so I did not comment because I didn't know what to say honestly! Instead, I looked down and sat patiently as she proceeded to finish my nails. I believe she did well with my thumb although it is not straight and is long. However, my index finger is done horribly. It is the wrong length completely and is angled downward whereas all my other nails are nearly straight. I believe it is also the incorrect size as it is much more round than any of my other nails. I was so uncomfortable after she had finished, I did not want to have her fix the horrible job she had done. I've never felt so horribly about being a customer. After she finished, she told me I did not need to pay and I could go. I quietly asked her if I could still leave a tip (as I still know how hard times can be for service workers). She seemed almost surprised that I wanted to and said yes. I left $5 and nearly ran out the door. I was in tears walking out. I do understand stress during busy hours, but I'm not sure why the salon didn't have me wait longer if there was not a technician ready for me. Unfortunately, I will now need to find a new nail salon because I would be EMBARRASSED to go back here ever again. They make you feel bad for coming in -- just be aware!! I also hope the salon finds this review well as my first technician was nearly perfect. This is my first review I have ever felt the need to write to a business. I've had Tiffany do my nails for 15 years. I will not go anywhere else. She is consistent every time I see her. She creates my French nails very thin and natural and they last for very long time before rebase. They do grow out, but with a little buffing with file and coat of color, you just can't tell. There was a time when she wasn't available and I was suggested to salon on Maximus dr in lonetree. I walked out with thick rounded nails. Completely unnatural and paid $50-$55 for full acrylic set. Update to yesterday's shellac disaster: I went back in this afternoon after one of my nails just peeled right off! Not sure how this happened, especially with gel, but it peeled off without much effort. As soon as I walked in to show the owner, she proclaimed that the service I had gotten yesterday was "unacceptable" and ushered me over to a new manicurist. This woman also agreed that my first mani was "terrible" and began working to right the wrong. As she worked, she expressed gratitude that I came back to tell them, and didn't just run off and write a bad review. She said that they always want to give customers what they want, if every nail was messed up the first time, they'd fix it until it was just right! My final result was MUCH better the second time around. I wanted to offer a tip for the manicurists work, but the shop refused and said it was their fault the first time around and that, again, they were just happy that I returned. I was really disappointed with the art work on my nails from another salon so I literally went from that salon to here. Luckily I was able to walk right in and get started. Jennifer quickly removed the disastrous attempt from the other salon, fixed the shape of the nails, and then designed super cute penguins. I have only had the penguins for an hour and have already gotten two compliments! Please note in the photo, that only the penguin nails are from Jennifer at Snappy. I have been looking for a good nail salon in the Denver area. Before Snappy Nails, I was going to a more upscale place in downtown & left unsatisfied on more than one occasion. A friend from my job suggested Snappy Nails & I could not be happier with the results. I went on a few days ago to get a new set & it was subpar. I broke one & went back to get it fixed. I sat down with Tiffany & not only did she fix the broken one but she redipped & reshaped all of the other ones to make sure that I would leave satisfied with my nails. My sister and I have been going to Snappy Nails for 2 years. At first it was a great experience and environment until the last 5+ times we have been it has been terrible. While we tried to give it multiple second chances, this is not a place I would recommend. At first it seemed like a reasonable price, it turned into a scam. My sister being a high school student and me being a college student they took advantage of us. Today I spent $67 on a typical $42 acrylic rebase because I asked for a simple flower designs. While sister asked for designs on every nail and was not unreasonably upcharged. like how I was. At that moment we realized we were being taken advantage of. My sister and I would make appointments together and it would turn into one person doing my nails... finishing and then the same person doing my sister nails taking up to 3+ hours. While I love the people that work there it has turned into being very unprofessional and lazy. I am extremely disappointed with the $25 up charge this is what I was left with (blue flower design). Not to mention they offered a five dollar student discount and took that away. From the past two years being at this nail salon I have not seen any struggle with getting clients I just do not understand the scam and up charge. Came In today for a full set as a walk in when I was sat down my nail technician name was Lulu. No offense to this lady but maybe more training when we started it was all good nothing wrong she had knew my old acrylics just came off so my nails were sensitive. When drilling to get the oil off I knew it was gonna burn a little but not for my cuticle it was uncomfortable and painful later on it was going good until she got the acrylic on and started filing I cannot fathom the pain I was in and she could tell by the many times she told me to relax and asked "does it still hurt" again no hate towards her but training would be good cause I would hate for this to happen to anyone else I got out once I got in my car I checked on my nails cause I could feel them pulsing and my literal under nail was bleeding and was in so much pain I tried to deal with it to let my nails grow but I couldn't I ended up taking them off AGAIN no hate toward her people make mistakes just for 50$ it's disI wanted to walk out once filing but I had felt so bad and it's not like me to go out of my way to write a review but 6 of my fingers actually hurt so much I don't think I will go again. Just moved to Denver from Colorado Springs and went here because a friend recommended it. Please keep in mind I work in a salon and spa (we don't do acrylic nails though) so I'm not exaggerating when I talk about the conditions of this nail salon. Upon walking in I was a little nervous because it's extremely dirty inside! It looked like they hadn't vacuumed, swept, or dusted in months! But I went ahead a picked me color and waited for my tech. I got a fill two weeks ago with Lynn and she was very sweet and funny which is why I gave 2 stars, however, I went to Vogue Nails across the street today for a fill and had to have all of my acrylics removed because they had MOLD under them!! The only way you get mold under your nails is from improper application which causes the nails to lift and water gets trapped under the acrylic. So now I have to wait two weeks before I can get a new set and use bleach and vinegar to get this mold off my nails! You can see the mold on my thumb and ring finger in the pictures. In the 10 years I've been getting my nails done in Colorado Springs I have never had this happen! Needless to say I won't be returning to snappy nails. read more

I've been here a couple of times now because it's close to a regular appointment I have nearby. I like their Mon-Thurs 20% off of services. I've been able to walk in and have a pedicure within 10 minutes of arriving. I've had Lynn do my nails both times and she is friendly, careful and good at what she does. I do wish the massage on my hands (during manicure) and legs (during pedicure) were stronger, but really, I'm there to leave with a nice paint job, so that doesn't take too much off of my review. They said they would fix and then sat in front of me and talked about me in Vietnamese then blamed me for the nails breaking. Refused to paint the side of my nails if they had to file. Absolutely horrible! If "0" stars was an option, that would be my choice. Went for mani/pedi, they do not take time on pedicures and didn't file my nails even, nor were they the same length. I got shellac on both my hands and feet, the shellac on my nails chipped after 3 days. I went in for repair, apparently Mindy had recently started using different brand of shellac. The color I picked came with 2 bottles of polish, the first time Mindy used the pink polish and the second time the lady used the white bottle. I asked Mindy why the difference, she then got up and came to my chair and yelled "same color"! I couldn't understand what she was saying, so after having to repeat herself she clapped her hands in my face and yelled "wake up girlfriend", I was humiliated and refuse to go back! I was referred to this salon (Jennifer specifically) from a good friend. I always admired her nails and tried multiple other places and was never satisfied! I have been coming to Jennifer for months now and I will never go anywhere else! The atmosphere is great! They are all so friendly. Jennifer's works is one of a kind. She provides quality nails in a timely manner, not to mention pain free! So many places poke and prod in the most unnecessary places, but not Jennifer! I am not the easiest on my nails so on the off chance that I break one she is ALWAYS readily available to fix it. I truly feel like I am being pampered when I am in her chair. The only reason they are getting 1 star is because I couldn't comment unless I placed a star. I walk in to get a mani and pedi. I wanted to have shellac on my finger nails. The lady doing my toes said "we have matching colors if you would like to have your toes match your fingers". I thought well that's great! So I picked the color "Ferrari Red" which was a more coral color. When she brought the color over is was a maroon color which is a complete different color?? I thought it was a mistake. She then told me "oh the colors don't match the display we have". So she pointed to where all the Shellac colors were and said find one. I'm thinking really?? Is that a joke? So finally after sitting in the dirty floor and looking at all the colors I finally found one! I then sat down to get my mani. The lady then said "you need to wait 20minutes before I can help you . I need to help this other person". I'm confused?? I just got my pedi and was sat down to do the mani and now I have to wait because 4 other people walked in (way after me that is)? So I got up and asked to speak to the owner. She stood up and yelled every excuse on why her Shellac nail Polish doesn't match the display . I then said I just want to get my nails finished. You started them I just want them finished. She then stood up and yelled to all the customers in the salon "can everybody tell me why I need to help her"!!! All the customers were confused on why she was yelling. I was embarrassed . She was unprofessional, rude and she is the owner of this business?? I will NEVER go back to this place!! All employees are RUDE AND THEY DO NOT DO A GOOD JOB WITH YOUR NAILS. Not only was I complaining but I heard 2 other ladies complaining and NOT HAPPY!! The place was a mess!!! The owner is a mess!!!! So I walked out with the same problem I walked in with!!! Now I have to go across the street to Dazzling Nails to get the service I deserve and the professionalism every customer deserves . I have been going to Snappy Nails occasionally for many years. Today was the first disappointment in all those years. I went in for a mani-pedi. The girl who did the pedi must have been a beginner trainee , but without supervision. I had been doing a lot of yard work in my flip flops and my toe-nails were in bad shape; but she didn't even clean them!And she only used the cheese-grater on my feet and heels. She didn't buff them out at all - did not even use the sponge that every single other pedicure I have ever had has used. She didn't clip the cuticles - I came home and had to try to do that myself. When done, she disappeared - I must have been her last client and she must have been in a hurry to leave...? The gal who did my manicure afterward was great & did a wonderful job. She knew very little English, but was able to communicate better than the pedi-gal (who could not even reply when I asked her about the nail color). Anyway, the mani-gal did the quality of job I have come to know at Snappy Nails over the years. I am not sure I will go back. Friends have suggested other places. I would suggest that if you do go to Snappy Nails, that you make an appointment and ask for a specific professional, so you don't get stuck with an intern who obviously does not care about the quality of her work. read more
