I have gone here several times due to its location and given them lots of chances. They have cut my cuticle when working on my toes and she didn't seem to feel bad at all. I was bleeding and it was pretty painful. My daughter recently got dip and tips for her fingernails, and there were lumps and bumps all over several of her nails It was very thick Her nails didn't look pretty. They looked sloppy. I'm sad to write this review, as we've come here multiple times. However, we came in for a bridal party and one of us was treated terribly. The manager was super aggressive, and so was one of the nail artists. I'm honestly appalled by how we were treated. We got our nails and toes done, came in feeling upbeat and happy, and left feeling frustrated and upset. Edit Update response to nail salon: It is actually disturbing/sad that you decided to make a story up to still not own up to your behavior. I wish I would have videotaped this experienced, because what in the world are you talking about? This business continues to shock me. Once again, never have I ever been treated so badly from a nail salon. Your made up story is crazy, let's go through it together: First off, I never asked for a full refund, I asked for a partial refund. I asked your team to meet me in the middle and make it right. Your team could have apologized, offered a partial refund, and have stayed respectful (had a mature adult interaction). Sometimes customers have bad experiences with staff members who are tired/having an "off day". That's the human experience and I was understanding that maybe the staff member was simply tired. However, the key is to stay respectful, own up to the mistake, and meet a person halfway/find a solution. Your team did NONE of these things.This is why I wrote this bad review, to draw attention to the fact that your salon doesn't own up to mistakes, treats you badly, and NOW apparently make up lies. The fact that all of this could have been avoided, if you would have just provided kind/good customer service...2nd, I said multiple times that I knew it took work, but that I felt I deserved a partial refund (for the paint job) because the woman did not listen to me multiple times. If you would have actually read my first review, I was very understanding/polite and told the staff the design was done incorrectly/poorly and that I hoped we could reach a middle agreement. No attempt was made to improve the interaction. Thirdly, just no, now you are making up lies Mr. Young. The woman did not take off my nail polish. I left after being unhappy, 0 corrections attempted. I could tell by her not listening that it wouldn't achieve anything to stay there because I wasn't going to get what I had requested. Plus I didn't want my 14 year old sister (with me) to witness that. I came down from college to have a fun experience with her, and this experience was the complete opposite of fun. Then I went to another salon who did my nails correctly the first time I asked and took all the nail polish off. There was no "attempt to fix it" by your salon, so the fact that you LIE and made that up and STILL don't take responsibility for your behavior as an adult is crazy. The nail stylist did what she wanted and didn't listen to me. I asked for ombré, she painted one thick white line on the tip and then a thick purple line. She didn't use an ombré machine and didn't paint the whole nail. I never changed my mind on what I wanted so idk where you pulled that lie from? Do not make up lies, that's called being dishonest and you can LEGALLY get in trouble for it. I am giving an honest review and you are upset because you are being called out for treating customers badly. Fourth, that's a crazy story you spun there about redoing my nails twice and then me going to another salon and then coming back to your salon to have you pay the difference after I supposedly changed my mind on the design. You actually want to stoop so low to make stuff up? I wouldn't do that to people as someone who has also worked in customer service. It is insane that you are blatantly lying to make yourself "look better". Not only are you blatantly lying (which is actually crazy), but you are continuing to not own up for your behavior. You would actually rather make up a story instead of taking responsibility. At any point in time you could step forward and apologize and say, "look I'm sorry this got so out of hand and for being dishonest." But even now you chose to make up stuff about a 20 year old. Honest question: will you ever take honest responsibility for your behavior? Apparently not. So in addition, I want to add to my review and let everyone know that this nail salon lies in their nail review responses and makes up stuff to avoid taking responsibility (I wasn't expecting this crazy experience to get even crazier). They would rather lie than own up for their mistakes. It's crazy that it's so hard for this salon to treat people kindly?! If you didn't want to give a refund, you could have at least been kind to me and tried to make the situation better. This whole experience has been very dehumanizing of being polite and in turn being treated like garbage. This is exactly how they talked to me in their nail salon in front of everyone (with this same condescending rude behavior). Don't go to this salon everyone! *also to anyone looking into this salon, look at how this person responds on Yelp to any critique. Whenever they are called out for their awful behavior, they respond with rude/condescending comments, this is how they treat their customers. Thanks for publicly proving my point! Random Fact about Me: I have an obsession with always having my nails painted, but refuse to spend unnecessary funds to do so because 1) I'm cheap AF 2) My polish changes every 4 days. SO when my mother-in-law suggested getting our nails done one random Friday afternoon, I took her up on the offer! In a COVID world, we knew making an appointment was essential. So after a bit of googling spots in the area and discovering only one spot that took appointments, we settled on Java Nails. Located off Colorado Blvd and University, Java was easy to spot and had ample parking despite being in toward the end of a strip mall. We arrive just before our 3:30 appointment time and were shocked to see the amount of customers inside. While other salons have resorted to a 10 person limit inside, Java - did not. Upon arrival, we discovered about 20 other customers seated in various spots getting pedicures or manicures. The 20 customers we saw did not include the staff working that day, which made for a TIGHT and uncomfortable environment - especially during COVID. However, all staff and customers were wearing masks, but having not been around that many people since early March, was a bit startling! We opted for traditional pedicures which still gave the VIP treatment. A thorough trim, scrub down and painting did the trick before we were off to start on the manicure portion of our visit. I originally had decided on a traditional manicure, but after talking more with my stylist, I opted for shellac - which was definitely a good choice as they have lasted 2 weeks! Prices are insanely reasonable for the area - at $60 for both a manicure and pedicure package - with a simple $8 polish removal and change! Besides the crowded space (avoiding COVID policy), I have to knock off a few stars for their staff. While I was pleased with my results, my mother in law and I both felt a little rushed during our visit, and my stylist in particular was extremely vocal about how badly I had let my nails get. She frequently made comments regarding how I "must paint my nails at home all the time" because I was unable to get all the previous polish off my nails, dismissed my color request because my "nails would look even worse because they are short" and made me feel a little insecure by shouting that in a room full of people. SO needless to say I left with kind of a bad taste in my mouth. Maybe it was me, or maybe it was an off day, so I may venture back to Java. read more

The pedicure was relaxing and she gave a great leg message with both the sugar scrub and lotion. She then gave me a full set acrylics using a design I had in mind from Pinterest. The women around me loved the work Sarah did and I love it even more! I am heading to California tomorrow and feel so pampered and ready for vacation. Have been here twice now, shame on me for trying a 2nd time. The first time I went for a mani/pedi, both shellac. My toes looked fine but my nails (french manicure) looked like a 4-year-old had painted them - the white was completely uneven and feathery and there was polish on my skin on almost every finger. I had a business trip the next day so I had no choice but to stay there and have someone fix them - they had to start completely over so I ended up being there for over 4 hours. They didn't apologize or even discount my service. I went back last week hoping that it was just a one-time issue. The gal that did my nails was incredibly rude and disrespectful. She told me multiple times to look for shellac colors in one basket at the front of the store so I picked a color from that basket. Then another employee told me that I picked from the wrong basket and needed to pick from a different one, so I went back to the front and picked from the basket he told me to. Then the original gal told me I was wrong and chastized me multiple times over the next 20 minutes. The manager was there the entire time and did nothing about it. There are way too many options to be treated that way for a service that is supposed to be fun and relaxing. Thank you for fixing my set! I originally went to a very popular nail salon in Littleton where I've been many times but this time they didn't listen to what I wanted multiple times during the appointment which led to me obviously leaving unhappy. I frantically looked for another nail salon to fix my nails since I was leaving for a huge work event and found Java. I was helped by both Young and Vy and they were both incredibly professional and kind. I was ready to shell out the money to get a whole new set but Young instead took the time to try and find alternate colors/designs that would help me save money since I had just gotten a new set at the other salon right before. He was so patient and must've gotten out 10 different nail colors and tried them on so I could see and make a decision but I did ultimately decide to do a new set. Young unfortunately had to leave and I saw Vy for the rest of my service and before he left, Young made sure Vy knew exactly what we had discussed. Now let me say as someone who doesn't always get an acrylic set, I can be very picky and I know this. So I am extremely thankful that Vy took her time to make sure I not only liked the shape but filed them down to thin them down multiple times when I asked. I came in this afternoon to get my gel polish soaked off my hands and feet. I specifically asked that it be soaked off. Twice. I was relaxing in the pedi chair, blissfully unaware that she was PEELING the polish from my toes, when I felt her peel it from my big toe. I was shocked! She was using a nail clipper to just PEEL. IT. OFF. Why would anyone pay $25 to have their polish peeled off?? This is the WORST way to remove gel polish because it removes so much of your nail unnecessarily! They know this, they just can't be bothered to soak it off the right way. After the peeling, grinding and buffing, my nails are ridiculously thin now, which is the circumstance what I was paying them to avoid. If you care about your nails, avoid this place. Or at least watch them closely to ensure they treat your nails better than they treated mine. I will not be back. read more

I'm actually really bummed about my recent experience. It was my first time and I had high hopes based on community recommendations. After getting home I notice how poor the polish job actually was. Both feet have uneven polish on several toes. I did the citrus pedicure ($40 +$8 tip). Most of it was fine. The hot stones were great! A white file was used to to shape my toe nails and it kept catching skin and burning. The technician stopped after the 6th time I told her it hurt. Everyone was kind. The shop is clean. Oh. My. Gosh! OK, so I broke my middle finger nail a week ago and it was all the way down to the bed. I came in to see Ivy and she fixed me WAY up!!! I was so afraid to let her work on my hurt finger but she was gentle and did an amazing job at fixing my nails. And then....CHECK OUT WHAT SHE DID! The photos hardly do it justice! I have been coming to this nail salon religiously for 6 months now after trying a few others in the Highlands Ranch area. All of the girls that I've had have been great but Vy is my favorite for my usual dip manicure. She is always so patient with me when I want nail art, a new nail shape, or when I come in with broken nails. She even gave my 7yo an ombré manicure with snowflakes and a snowman! The pedicure is also the best I have had. The Zen Garden pedicure is seriously like a spa treatment!
