However, the real excitement happened to me yesterday. I cleaned out my unit Sunday and went to the office to close out, but I was too late and they had closed. I made a note to call Monday afternoon. Midday Monday I got a moveout confirmation letter. Turns out they do rounds twice daily, noted that my lock was gone and the unit was empty, and they took care of everything for me! When I need storage again, there's no doubt where I'll go.

I made numerous requests to speak with an owner or manager, but neither ever reached out to resolve the issue. Instead, I only received follow-ups from the same representative who called initially. When I finally closed out my account and paid for the delivery and final month's storage, I was informed--after paying--that they do not prorate unused days. As a result, I paid $535 for just 5 days of storage in October, forfeiting the remaining 25 days. To top it all off, the owner refused to take my calls and only responded via email after my third attempt--where they then accused me of "extortion" simply for demanding a response to my unresolved issues. They told us to file an insurance claim with Orange Door. They took 6 months and then denied the claims, which is illegal in the state of Florida. We have spent countless hours emailing, calling and responding to requests for evidence. We have dozens of photos and videos that were sent in. We are at the point where we have to meet with lawyers and contact the news to warn others as it is clear that have no intentions on doing the right thing. Never rent here. Ever.
