The service is terrible can't speak to anyone that can help with move out. Charged me full months' rent because no one answers the phone, no contact email to notify anyone of the move out. When I call the office number option 4 for a manager it does nothing. Terrible will not use Public Storage again. Terrible business. read more

Horrible experience! Stored belongings before leaving town. Came back to town and went to retrieve a few items. The automatic door was stuck open with alarm going off. Notice on front door citing Public Storage for violating local ordinances. Code to drive-in door didn't work. Contacted person in video in office and informed them of problems and that I was going in to retrieve items. Returned later that day after considering earlier problems and not being able to get assistance with access code. Retrieved all items. Called customer service to try to work thru issues. They had unilaterally cancelled our contract. The contract was cancelled by them on the 5th of the month without our knowledge and they would not prorate it. I tried to resolve issues with them and cannot get a return call. We had the same experience as others with them requiring we buy a lock tho we had a previous lock. Also the storage fees kept increasing by $20+ every few months. Very frustrating experience! I wish I could give no stars. read more

Public Storage - Public Notice on door morning that drive-in door was jammed open and alarms were going off! - Self Storage Near Me - Palm Beach Gardens, Florida

We just left after about 6 months of renting a 10x10 because they randomly jacked up the rent, without notice, about 27%. So I call, and of course nobody answers. Nobody ever answers. If you go there during business hours, they're never in the office either. So I get a corporate customer service rep on the phone after 30 minutes of annoying robot circling and she tells me I'm already scheduled to move out, which was news to me. BUT back to the actual renting experience. It's horrible. First off they charge you for a lock automatically. $19 for the same kind I already had a 4 pack of for less $. Seriously 4X the cost. I used my own and for some reason they put their stickers all over MY locks. So then you have to return the one they give you to get your money back & good luck tracking down someone to do that. Then the climate controlled building is really humid. There were dead lizards all over the third floor. The elevator & most of the building smells like mothballs & turpentine mixed & your stuff will smell like that when you take it out. Move in and out is a royal PITA because the double doors have nothing to hold them open & the concrete is uneven & broken up so you'll dump everything trying to get a cart out. There are only 2 carts in the whole building & not always put back. The elevator doors stay open for about 2 seconds which is idiotic for a freight elevator. Getting in or out with your car is also a pain if anyone else is coming the opposite direction. I would recommend you go ANYWHERE else or just sell your stuff, it's not worth storing it here. read more

And live-help just doesn't seem to function for anything other than when trying to rent a new unit; I wanted to move out of my unit, and the only way i could get somebody on the line was to pretend i wanted to rent a unit lol. Additionally and a heads-up, the final price you end up paying monthly is way higher than they advertise them to be. read more

So I just started renting a unit for my two motorcycles because I live by the beach and yeah rust sucks, and they were aware what the unit was for. Went to take my bike out today and called to let them know I was leaving my car overnight in the completely empty lot up front. The lady I spoke with was very short and rude and said if my car wasn't out by 9 pm sharp tonight, it would get towed. Idk why they would think I would lyft or Uber three times a week to ride my bike outta there? Just very odd as I'm renting a unit it's not like I'm some random person using up a space? And the lot was empty I was the only car. Just not very accommodating and will be finding another unit with somebody else promptly. read more

The best thing about this place is the friendly and helpful lady (Magdalena) who showed me all around the place. She was delightful and made the yawn-inducing process of getting a storage unit much more enjoyable!!! My problem and the reason for the low rating is that once you pick a unit and you're doing the paperwork, you end up being forced to get insurance at a MINIMUM of $11 a month (there are higher amounts for increased insurance limits) and you're forced to get THEIR lock....a $19 lock that is useless for anything else. I have high grade military locks that I could use but was told it had to be THEIR lock. The thing that upset me is that while moving my stuff in, I looked around and saw normal Master Lock locks on the majority of the units. So this must be a brand new rule and it's a stupid one designed solely to make money and take advantage of the consumer. After all, you're already being forced to add insurance to the price of the unit...that should cover the contents if THEIR place is broken into and someone breaks into your unit. A military grade lock should be sufficient. My last complaint is that they are overpriced. I rented the same size unit in New Smyrna Beach for $35 less. This place doesn't even offer military discounts! I needed a storage unit right away so I didn't have time to shop around much, but I will definitely be doing some comparison shopping once I have some time to see if I can find a better bargain. read more
