What makes matters worse is that I need to move from another storage unit into this larger one and there is very little time to accomplish this as there is NO light to see where to place anything. I have repeatedly tried to contact management, and have been assured that the message has been passed along. At this point my favorable recommendation has turned into not so favorable. Look somewhere else. I will let you all know how this resolves.

It's well lit, very clean, has two check-in points, and the moving racks, and dollies work. The AC is kept at a good temperature here, and I like the fact that it can take a cat-4 hurricane.

I had contacted a few other movers prior, but none could accommodate a move on such last notice. I've recently relocated for work with my new job starting in a week, and I really needed movers within 3 days. After *almost* giving up hope I came across Lux. I called them, and low and behold, they were able to send movers on such short notice! Thinking this is too good to be true, I went ahead and gave them a chance (especially because they were more affordable). On the day of my move everything went smooth. The showed up with the size truck I required and the number of movers we agreed on. The movers took good care in packing and moving fragile items and furniture. Within a few hours everything was packed and ready to go. All in all, I recommend you give them a chance.

Once Prime Storage acquired the facility, Rebecca stopped working there. It has never been the same and continues only to decline. Not only does the AC almost never work, I have seen water flowing out of people storage units, and into the stairwell, and the elevator is out on an honest weekly basis. No one is ever in the office, so you scan a QR code to speak to someone that is offsite and has to look up the property in the system and try to guide you as someone that has never even been there. Absolutely worthless. We will be moving our items as soon as we can. Oh, right, one last thing - they continue to raise the rates on everyone regularly.

He gave me a code to walk into the unit. the first impression is that for it being "climate control" it was hot and humid in there. He asked me to remove a tag that locks the unit so that I could see it. I removed the lock, but the door would not open. They are roll-up doors. I could sense he was annoyed but he then asked me to try another unit. I removed the tag and tried to open the door but it was not rolling up. I knew at this point that perhaps I was doing something wrong. so I asked him if there was something else I needed to do with the latch. To my question he responded "I mean it's pretty self explanatory how to open a door". I'm sorry what? I don't think that's how you handle this situation. They need to train the staff on how to problem solve if they are not going to have someone on premises.

As with any rational human being, I am concerned about where I leave my belongings. First and foremost, I want to make sure that the items are SECURE. (crazy?) When I called to get more information and potentially make a reservation, the first thing I asked was: "what sort of security do you have at the facility?" (something to that effect). The gentleman who answered seemed VERY taken aback. Like shocked. Offended. In fact, he told me and I quote, "no one has ever asked about that before". What?!? People don't ask what sort of security one has at a facility whose only purpose is to safely secure one's possessions? I asked him "how long have you worked at this place?". He said "five years". FIVE YEARS and I am the ONLY person to have asked this question (which he didn't want to answer btw). Does that sound true to you? To anyone? No. It sounds insane. So hey! OWNER. Send me a DM.
