However, for the multiple years I've been coming here, the lift is either always broken, dead, or requires two people to operate making it impossible or dangerous for me and others to reach our upstairs unit and move things in and out. The place is absolutely disgusting right now, in a way I've never seen it before. They obviously don't clean the floors and when we went to take to someone at the front desk to ask about a key or working lift, there was no one there. We went on a Monday from 11-6 and no one ever showed up. Another customer informed us that someone hadn't been there for a week at least. We had to move a whole unit out down stairs and on dollies that were also broken. Also, we've had issues in the past of not being able to use dolleys or the lifts because there are only 1 or 2 lifts (now 0 working lifts) and 3-5 carts for the whole place. Meaning if someone else is moving, you wait or come back another day. Absolutely atrocious, especially considering they continue to raise the rates but do not improve or fix their equipment.

We have met the woman on the weekends and the weekday staff; all great people that are accommodating and pleasant to work with. They were pretty full but they had a couple of units to work with and they were able to get us in right away. The facility is air conditioned, clean, and is organized really well. They offer a lot of equipment to roll your stuff to your unit and they have a big elevator. It's not 24 hours but they have good enough hours for us. We feel good about our decision to keep our belongings here.

However, the real excitement happened to me yesterday. I cleaned out my unit Sunday and went to the office to close out, but I was too late and they had closed. I made a note to call Monday afternoon. Midday Monday I got a moveout confirmation letter. Turns out they do rounds twice daily, noted that my lock was gone and the unit was empty, and they took care of everything for me! When I need storage again, there's no doubt where I'll go.

The initial consultation with her was professional, clear, and gave me confidence I was dealing with a competent company. Unfortunately, it was all downhill from there. Brooks Moving and Hauling turned out to be an absolute disaster. It was painfully obvious they intentionally moved at a snail's pace to inflate the hourly bill. The so-called "foreman," Ronny, spent most of the job on his phone. Zero leadership, zero urgency, and he wouldn't let the other two movers do anything without his approval, which meant three people standing around while time (and money) burned. We specifically requested that beds be dismantled and reassembled. Despite that, I had to argue with the dispatcher just to get the bed frames put back together. After the move, I had to follow up to address these issues, and Nikita said she would get back to me--but never did. No accountability, no resolution, just silence. Only after emailing and her calling her back did I suddenly pop back into her memory. Nice! They claimed it was "reasonable" that it took 7.5 hours for three men to move only large items (beds, couches, tables, etc.). For context: our previous move took 6 hours and included every single item, from the 17th floor to the 2nd floor. This move was just large items from the 2nd floor to the ground floor. The comparison speaks for itself. To make it even worse, Ronny destroyed our bed frame during reassembly. He rushed the job, didn't even screw the pieces in properly, and left me with a bag of unused hardware. The bed is damaged and unstable--see the photos attached for proof. Aside from Ivana, this company was unprofessional, inefficient, and dismissive when problems were raised. Be warned--this is a pathetic excuse for a moving company, and I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

They told us to file an insurance claim with Orange Door. They took 6 months and then denied the claims, which is illegal in the state of Florida. We have spent countless hours emailing, calling and responding to requests for evidence. We have dozens of photos and videos that were sent in. We are at the point where we have to meet with lawyers and contact the news to warn others as it is clear that have no intentions on doing the right thing. Never rent here. Ever.
